Being a teacher in Minnesota it’s MEA break. Headed out camping for the long weekend. Hanging with the the grandson on Saturday at a Halloween themed orchard.

We are going to Iowa for the weekend. My wife (a teacher) has Friday off so we are going to visit son number 2 and his wife.

When I lived in Arkansas, they always said that Iowa meant Idiots On their Way to Arkansas. Must’ve been a lot of migrants from Iowa there or something. I also heard it meant I Owe the World An apology.

I wish fil was here to hear this one.

They need it. If there’s anything that coaching has done for me, it’s reinforced my belief that people are insane. Parents may be the worst subsector of the population.

I’m sure it means MN Education Association. Here in WI the teachers have something similar where they have a few days where they have a conference and have special speakers and seminars etc. However, several years ago my wife’s school stopped requiring the teachers to go to the conference. My wife hasn’t gone since then.

One year back in the day she got to see Henry Winkler since he spoke at one of the seminars.
