Yep, I have a pop-up Clam, it’s ready.
I have ceiling hooks. During winter, I keep the ice house & stuff hooked on the ceiling above the pickup. During summer, the tent gets moved over there.
That way, when I’m ready to go, I hop up in the back of the pickup, grab everything off the ceiling hooks, & hit the road.
Sounds like a good system. We’ve been using the pop up for the past 3 or 4 years. Dad has an Ice castle style house but the winch system for the back wheels runs off a dumb electric switch thats been busted for years and he refuses to take it to someone local/ in state to fix it, will only take it to the place that built it for him and they are in Brookings, SD and dont work over the summer. Iv chewed his ass so many times to go get it fixed to we can take the actual house out when its -30 out but he just sits on his hands. Frustrating.
I like my pop-up. I have the floor for it, so we camp in it, too. We just use cots.

I was just listening to a random story from Randy Blythe of Lamb of God (like some of their riffs and Resurrection Man breakdown was great live, but the growling singing gets monotonous fast), and the coincidence of the story was so great, I am sharing.
Blythe was on a tour bus in Arizona, and they got stopped by border patrol. Before border patrol checked the bus, Blythe put his illegal substances in his pockets and gets out of the bus. Low and behold, the border patrol then calls in a K9 unit to sniff for drugs.
“Oh no,” Blythe thinks. “I am in trouble here.”
The K9 unit arrives. The K9 officer gets out of his car. He looks at Blythe and says, “Hey, aren’t you from Franklin, Virginia?”
