Graduation book of my dad’s when he finished jump school during WWII.
Correction: Prior to Korea, he served in both WWII and Korea.
That’s cool. I don’t think my dad got anything like that. He joined in 1942. He never went over seas as he was a training pilot that was stationed in San Antonio.
Dad was a paratrooper in WWII and Korea. I have his old jump book (above), and I have his discharge papers framed. We have some old pictures of his from overseas as well. I need to get those all saved on disc or something.
I think someone has my dad’s discharge papers, probably my oldest sister.
You may start seeing ads on the site sometime this week or next week. I’m going to do my best to keep them from becoming obtrusive. If they do get to be a pain, PLEASE let me know and we can adjust the frequency and what-not.

Yeah they’ve played a terrible schedule but it’ll get more difficult as the season goes on, at Dallas and 2 games against a plucky Giants team. The rest is pretty weak. Probably the biggest feather in their cap is a blowout non competitive win against a 7-1 Vikings team, which is probably part of why it isn’t talked about as much as the Vikings weak strength of schedule. Probably best not to compare as the Vikings were not competitive in a head to head with them.
