Over a lifetime of brewmaster experience and personal tastings, I have come up with an exclusive list of the top five beers. While they can be hard to get, these are a must have for your bucket list.
5 Guiness. Smooth, creamy, goes down like a bite o’ malted milk. Reminds ye of that Irish lass of long ago…imported so hard to find.
4 Corona. Crisp pale lager looks like piss but goes down like a man o’war. Also imported but sometimes found in the company of a fentanyl mule.
3 Michelob Ultra. Comes in a big can, made for a big man. Somewhat citrusy over tones with a strong carbonated finish. Found at some of your more select drinking establishments.
2 Bud Light. Golden in color with a subtle fruity and citrusy note. Be careful to not drink more than two as she packs a wallop. Occasionally found in higher end liquor stores and chains.
1 Busch Light. Truly the top of the lot. Leaves a malty note on the tip of the tongue that lingers but briefly, like the shine of a young man’s eye. Sipping on a lukewarm Busch Light can invoke memories of a winter’s night in front of the fire warming your chilblaned toes after your latest Gretzky like exploits on the frozen pond.

I read something about 5 years ago that something like 25% of seafood is mislabeled, either intentionally or not.
Actually most of that crap is made from pollack. All the bycatch is thrown away/overboard dead. Pollack i fish sticks, McD fish and every other ff fish, fake crab, fake shrimp, fake scallops all made from pollack fish past. Like the Arby’s roast beef of the fish world.

All joking aside, I’ve always found pregnant women beautiful. Glow of pregnancy and all that. The baby in the womb thing is fascinating as well, I mean a living creature growing inside of you. For years if I had spare time I liked to help out with the newborns in the nursery and would tell the nurses I was jealous they got to see a baby born. Trust me after helping deliver 150+ I get no pleasure from it but it is fascinating to see the stages of labor and the baby crowning, turning the head, supporting the perineum, helping slip it out, etc…
My wife had just turned 18 when she got pregnant with my stepdaughter. She is truly gorgeous in her wedding photos first trimester.
If you want the truth, I find it bizarre you guys don’t think pregnant women are beautiful. Two of my technologists are pregnant currently, I would never be so dumb as to say “wow you are so beautiful right now” but I’m sure they can tell.

Ah, that makes perfect sense. It is a pretty miraculous thing indeed. I think it is natures way by making pregnant women non desirable to the men who didn’t do the deed. I think all husbands find their wife beautiful at that stage yet not all other woman.

Before you jump to the conclusion that I was a spoiled kid on the food situation, realize my dear sweet ma, God bless her soul, thought if there was any moisture in meat, it was still raw. A 12 oz steak was lucky to weigh 2 oz when it hit the plate.

When my son in law was a teenager, on a dare he ate a very large jar of extra hot peppers (don’t remember which kind), to the point he permanently damaged his digestive system. To this day he constantly has some kind of acid reflux thing. He’s been to lots of docs, tried lots of medicine, they finally told him there was nothing more they could do for him.

I found an incredible way to reverse sear steaks. Got the idea for the way Alton Brown does his steaks. Dry Brine overnight uncovered on a drying rack. Alton just uses salt I use a coarse ground coffee rub. Use meat probe and I smoke at 200 degrees, Alton oven roasts until internal temp of 120ish. Take out and let sit for 10 minutes while getting a surface SUPER hot. I have grill grates on my smoker, Alton uses a cask iron skillet. I like to brush on some melted butter and then sear for 30-40 seconds each side and done. SO GOOD!

It’s a misnomer way of thinking. The recipe actually comes from Alton Brown going back on his original series and making corrections on things he got wrong. He originally said, “Don’t dry brine it dries it out.” Science proved that wrong and now he does it all the time. So, yes the salt brings moisture out BUT letting it sit for 6-24 hours makes the moisture grab the salt while bringing out globular proteins, these proteins is what makes a crust on the outside when cooked. Grabs the salt and then most goes back into the steak.

Coffee rubs on beef rules. I have one I use for steaks and one I use for doing Brisket. Although I do like doing more of an Asian bbq marinade on things like beef ribs before smoking.
Let me know how it goes, I’ve really had good results. I talked a little about the science behind it to 5 above this post. Pretty interesting.
The other thing I forgot to mention, while resting after the baking/smoking don’t take the probe out until it’s rested for 10 minutes or you lose all your juices. That rest time is perfect to let that juice settle while letting whatever you are going to use to sear get up to heat.

I was doing the peach mead recipe right out of the Papazian home brew bible and dumped like 13 pounds of diced peaches into boiling water sugar etc and let it do it’s thing for an hour. The recipe called for straining the wort if that’s what mead is pre yeast through cheese cloth. I didn’t have cheese cloth so I decided to use a t-shirt I had boiled and tied into a funnel. While my buddy poured the mix I held the t-shirt over a funnel sitting on top of the carboy.
Pretty soon the peaches plugged up the bottom of the t-shirt but by then the whole mixture had been dumped into it. There was nothing I could do as dropping the thing would have created an unholy mess plus all my time dicing the peaches, etc…
So I stood there for 25 minutes whining pitifully while my forearms slowly boiled until the mixture finally drained into the carboy.
I also thought it was a flop, as the yeast took forever to ferment, but once they got going about two weeks in it looked passable. It was actually very good.
The things we do to save a brew! That moment in time where you have to decide to start over or not if something goes wrong is terrible.
But, as long as it turned out good it was worth it.
The only fruit I’ve ever done has been during second fermentation after removing the yeast. Very interesting to pull out a bag of white strawberries/raspberries/apricots. Can’t argue with the results, though!

It’s fine, just an adapter that allows you to plug one plug-in type to another. You should be fine, it’s really not a big deal unless you use it a lot. As was mentioned previously, OSHA would neuter you for it, but they don’t visit residences.

Listen to the broadcast from a few other teams (Carolina, Washington, Philly, GB come to mind) and you will appreciate PA. He is a little over the top but you at least know what’s going on in the game from a Vikings broadcast.
I have Sirius in my vehicle so on some Sundays when I’m driving and the Vikings game isn’t on I will listen to another game. The Washington crew annoys me. It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to GB’s crew, but I never had a problem with them. Beside the fact that they announce for GB.

I watched it to the bitter end, too. I felt that I’d enjoy a Super Bowl victory more if I endured every awful Vikings moment. I don’t feel that way anymore – gave up on that after the 2017 season.
Now I’m willing to miss games or turn off a game partway through.

It helps that my brother in-law is one of my favorite guys ever, and my wife and sister get along extremely well.

That’s been a problem for the Raiders for awhile. That was a big reason they wanted a new stadium and have historically given less money in signing bonus than other teams. I think even guaranteed future money has to go into an escrow account so they have had to be extra creative with the way they write their contracts. They are getting better now but having to pay a coach you fired half way through his first season on a 10 year contract couldn’t have helped their situation.

Yeah, the detail is astounding. He did a really great job. He told me that he usually knocks these out in a couple weeks, but he really dug into this one. He’s a friend of a friend, came highly recommended. I’m SO glad I went with him, he went above & beyond. I’m beyond happy with his work.
Formatting is a bit shitty, as it’s just a jpeg, but he did a magnificent job on this. Can’t wait to see the full versions. Merchandise is going to be killer.
