I believe roulette odds are better than BJ with baccarat being the best odds of all. Yeah I stick to the thinking mans games not the games of chance like a ball in a circle or dice. Never appealed to me.
They say Roulette is the game with the best odds. I once read that If you have 1000 and want to maximize your odds in a casino, go to Roulette and put it all on Red or Green, or whatever the colors are!

blackjack’s best if you’ve got the time to learn the game. And if you’ve got the bankroll and want a more refined gambling experience (still with great odds), baccarat’s the game for you.
BJ is good odds if you know the game and strategy.
Poker is the only casino game you can control. And maybe that’s why the house isn’t involved in it at all.
House still gets the rake, but yes. Low stakes poker is like printing money. It is a grind and you have to be surrounded by losers or FTP fans to win. Gets tiresome quickly.

I know his stats aren’t as good as they have been, but he’s playing better. I can’t really explain it, because it’s illogical, but he’s playing better even though his stats are worse.

For sure. The Eagles and Cowboys games were abysmal, but that was a team effort, and I think had a lot to do with coaching. When an entire team fails to show up, you almost have to attribute it to coaching or something like that.

It amazes me that college football is light years ahead of the NFL when it comes to reviewing plays.
Which game are you watching right now? Should watch more college football, but no idea what would be a good game to watch on any given Saturday.
Oregon-Oregon St. is on right now. I like to watch games with guys the Vikes might have a shot at drafting when I watch college, and I watch any Ole Miss game since they’re my team.
Looking at McKinley (secondary) as a potential draft pick. Thibodeaux will go top 10, so we don’t have a shot, but he’s GOOD.
Oregon has another corner named Wright who could go at the end of the first.

Slow weekend, likely the holiday. I’m guessing tomorrow will get busy with people watching games.

Not my issue, it was becoming a problem & needed to be addressed. Did my best to keep it a private convo, but you know how that goes.
Sometimes you just have to take control and I appreciate that you do that. To be perfectly honest, the trolling using doesn’t bother me, but it was really getting under my nerves that we couldn’t have an hour after the game to revel in victory without being drug down by negative comments.
I respect everyones opinion, I just don’t want to be reminded 50 times a thread. 5 and Kodiak are fun dudes.
Yeah, I don’t mind them generally. But my buttons got pushed when right after the game we couldn’t have a single hour to enjoy a victory.
That irked me as well. I like those guys, but the constant barrage of concentrated negativity is getting very annoying at times, especially after a nice bounce back win over a quality opponent.

Agreed. I have no issue with differing opinions. Hell, I offered five a spot where he could post his own stories expressing his opinions. It isn’t that there’s another opinon, it’s the non-stop trolling I have an issue with. I’m sure we’ll resolve it appropriately. Taking action is the last thing I want to do.

Our D is frustrating to watch. At times it reminds me of the leaky defense we had some years with Frasier.
Deep safeties and lots of nickel and giving up deep passes. Pass pressure is a bit disturbing.
I thought we were getting better pass pressure earlier in the year, but Thursday’s game it seemed nonexistent.

Yeah, the defense has been maddening. Thing is, they can decide to dial up the pressure, and it works (look at the last 2 series against New England), but most of the season, the D has been hard to watch. Frustration is at Defcon 1.
I like them both and hope they come back. I understand certain things are over done, but to be fair, to at least some extent, that happens on both sides. On the celebration thread, some folks started that out with calling them out by name.
I’ve been known on occasion to ask both sides to tone down the personal insults. No one enjoys a comment thread in various forms of: “you’re stupid; you’re stupider; you’re the stupidest”. Those conversations take two to tango.
Plus 5 and Lifer’s feud (I’m still convince they are either the same person or it is all a ruse) is kind of funny if you know the history of the people. But like you say, 50 times a thread can wear on a person. Plus it does keep some other people away.
And some of 5’s political takes reminds me of my brother.
I think the front porch will gain steam if we stick with it. I like having the freedom of speech thread as well (without the trolling, of course), but it’s nice to have an option without some of the more vitriolic conversations for those who don’t care for that type of conversation.
That would be nice. I know there are a few guys from the olden days of DN that I wouldn’t mind chatting with again. Such as oofda (the man of many names).
I like Oofda, I always got along with him really well. I’ve gotten along with most people really well, with the exception of a couple psychos like Jorge & BAP. I even got along with BAP, he just didn’t have the ability to get along with anyone.

I figured. I followed the DN and found this place from a post in the comments there. I never logged in there, would just read the articles and then the comments, and eventually just the comments as I found the back and forth fascinating. I think the constant trolling gets old too.

I have a couple more sets of lights to put up today, then I’m all done. Had to rake some snow off the roof yesterday, hopefully it’ll be dry by today. Too damn icy to climb up on the roof in one spot, so that peak is the only area where the lights aren’t up. Quite a few cars slowed down or stopped last night after I turned them on. So much fun.
