One more day removed from Saturday’s magnificent comeback victory, and our thoughts begin to turn to the Giants game next Saturday. This is another game where the Vikings seem to match up well against the opponent. The rush D will have their work cut out for them as they go up against Saquon Barkley and the Giants rushing attack. Hopefully our secondary can continue the momentum they built with solid play in the Colts game and keep it going against the Giants. If so, we could see good things on Saturday.
For just one game, it would be nice to get an easy win. Is that too much to ask? We’ll find out in a few short days. SKOL!!!!!!!!!!!

Some long-awaited news: The NFL is in “advanced talks” with YouTube for exclusive rights to “Sunday Ticket” and an agreement could be reached as early as Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Interesting. I knew Direct TV congratulations tact was up after this season and had heard both Apple and Amazon were prime (no pun intended) candidates. But YouTube works too.

You can stream Sunday ticket now without a dish. That’s how I watch all Vikings games in Chicago

Yup got the last thing for the Mrs ordered today it arrives Friday. She’s made out like a bandit this month between the birthday ring and Christmas. Of course she’s also been friskier than a two dollar hooker twice a week lately. Gotta be the ring or her side piece is traveling for the holidays. 🤷♂️

Damn the couriers. When I order DoerDash I expect my meal piping hot and fresh as a filled diaper…or I start breaking necks and cashing cheques. I don’t tip either, too much tipping going on these days.

Now in reality, never ordered delivery in my life (not even pizza), certainly never ordered crap from Wallyworld to have some doofus toss in my trunk, but I do enjoy reading these threads from the big city of Billings where people say, waitress didn’t take my food order for 45 minutes, food came out with hair in it and cold, I’ll never go there again…which leads me to the whole why not just take it up with manager instead of bitching on bookface. But people pipe up and say times are hard, you should tip your server 20% even if they dump your food on your head.
Even better is the bookface of my old hometown (Wainwright). I shit you none, three weeks ago two old ladies living in an apartment heard someone in the living room, some dude was in the process of stealing their TV. They were posting that the crime was getting so bad, please look for our TV, we’re on social insurance etc…Three (3) replies saying well he must have been in a bad place be thankful you could give him something at Christmas. Sweet Jeebus.

I had to go to grocery store for a few items. Storm and Xmas coming it was my worst nightmare.
The Walmart that we usually go to is in this nightmare area of lots of other shops and the road are not set up very good. I tend to just no go to Walmart in December.

Great, we just got a winter storm warning for Thursday night to Friday afternoon. Rain to ice to snow, with bitter cold and wind chill to minus 25.
Going somewhere for Xmas?
Only across town, but maybe stuck home alone if the roads are a mess. After the family party Christmas Eve, I usually drive to my daughter’s in Oldham County Christmas AM, but there’s no driving on their icy country roads.
We have a winter storm rolling in that could dump up to 10 inches of snow and then the winds are going to pick up and blow like crazy. We are supposed to be driving to St Louis on Friday (it’s an 8 hour drive). I’m not looking forward to that.
Looks like it starts in Eden Prairie at 8 AM.
Just think how memorable it is to drive 8 hours in a blinding snowstorm with icy roads and whiteout conditions. By the time you get to St. Louis you’ll have a diamond in your rectum.
Last week we went to see our DIL graduate from nursing school. On the way back it started to snow a lot. The drive normally takes us 3.5 hours and with the snow it took us 5 hours. I was not a happy camper. We got home at midnight. Ugh.
How awful.

UGH! I’m living in chaos right now. Son in law is going to do some remodeling in my condo to get it ready to sell. I’m very grateful for the free labor, but right now it’s what cabinets, flooring, etc. do you want. Then he’s taking next week off to try to do most of the labor. In the meantime, I have to empty all the cabinets, etc. right at Christmas. Trying to at least read through threads here.
When we ordered cabinets, there was an 8 week lag time on them. The backlog must be over.
Still an issue, but he’s only giving me options that he can get quickly. He used to work there, so he knows what he’s doing.
I don’t have to live with these choices, so not being picky. Pretty much all of the options are better than these original old ones.

Right. In a patio home, there are only two units in a building with one shared wall and no one above you. Everyone has their own yard too. Condos have multiple units in a building and you usually only have a balcony or patio per unit.

Smart. I have two more days of this. We’re going to leave early (like 3 or 4 am) on Friday, depending on the weather. Now, they’re talking blizzard conditions into Friday, so we’ll see. No reason to drive when it’s overly dangerous, IMO.

Yeah. I got a bottle of Four Roses (I don’t remember which one off the top of my head) and I’m going to grab another on the way home. The Four Roses was alright, but it was a cheaper one. I’ll get something better for Christmas.

The Small Batch Select is a lot better than the Small Batch and the Singe Barrel is even better imo.
I think it’s the small batch. I know it’s not the select. I’ll probably try something completely different with the next one. Working on the best way to make sphere ice. I tried something this morning, so we’ll see how it worked when I get home.
Likely, SBS is like $60+. I have a little plastic thing that makes them.
Yeah this was around $30. I have a cheap mold I bought but they end up cloudy and break right away. I made a couple with the immerse in water method but they took too long and were a pain to get out. They did turn out almost crystal clear though. I made a little box out of styrofoam I put around one so we’ll see if that works.
I want something easy. Kym had a more square mold that works if you have a decent width on the glass
I saw some insulated molds that would work good but I was too cheap to pony up for them.
