Five more days until Vikings playoff football! The Minnesota Vikings take on the New York Giants on Sunday, kickoff is at 3:30 pm central time. Once again, the Giants will likely bring a lot of blitzes and will do whatever they can to pressure Kirk Cousins. The Vikings will hopefully have an answer for this, as a well-timed screen can do a lot to neutralize a blitz. Let’s hope KOC and company are up to the task, I want to see a win on Sunday.
I’m not expecting a win on Sunday, but I’m sure hoping for one. It’s been a pretty lengthy playoff drought for we Vikings fans, so I want to see them make some noise. With this team, you just never know what could happen. We’ll find out in a few short days!!

I know enough about the History of the two Twins WS teams to know what im talking about. None of the teams were world beaters in any category. It took Godlike pitching performances that are basically unheard of in this day and age outside of Verlander to get the Twins those rings. There’s Zero pitchers on this roster, or in the current pipeline that would be able to do that during the regular season, let alone in a WS. Sport.
False, it did not take god like pitching performances in 87, it was actually a relatively high scoring series, in fact the only god like pitching came in game 7 of the 91 series with Smoltz and Morris, the pitching was good overall that series but nothing outlandish till game 7.

A gold glove SS helps cover a lot of pitching deficiencies. The rotation looks respectable if Maeda and Mahle are recovered from injuries but who knows. The bullpen also sucks.

So here’s what I think happened Sunday night:
The NFL was clearly rigging the game for the Packers (like usual), but after being called out by some big names and Twitter trending #NFLrigged, along with the Packers being incompetent enough to not be able to take full advantage of the help, and the medical team incident, the NFL let them lose. I think this happens in rare cases (where the team they want to win just can’t/doesn’t, or they change gears during the game). Don’t expect that sort of help for the Vikings in the playoffs, however, as they likely don’t want the Vikes to advance.
Some of those calls were hilarious. Guy lands in the end zone & they rule him down at the one. Unreal.
Seriously just unbelievable. That’s the kind of BS that happens during Packers games all the time (and other favored teams). And the coach is too dumb to challenge, or maybe just knows they aren’t going to reverse in Lameblow.
There were several that were obvious. My wife doesn’t gripe about the refs, but even she was pointing out some of the missed calls.

Just to be clear, the medical team incident to which I was referring was the push and ejection of the LB, which made the viewers turn on the Packers (or at least the NFL may have perceived that).
I had several of my (non Packer) friends protest that what happened was understandable, heat of the moment, etc…OMG the Packer bias even extends to non Packer fans.
Yeah, the guy that caused that medical visit should have been ejected too, but of course, they miss that intentional elbow to the head. Good thing they called the hands to the face to protect Backtiari when he got slightly touched (for player safety, of course).

I thought it was weird in last Sunday’s game that Davlin fumbled but didn’t get injured until the first time he touched the ball on the next series. Usually he gets injured at the same time he fumbles. It may have been the first time in his career he had a non-injury fumble and a non-fumble injury in the same game.

Everything slows down over time as you get older. For me it was morning, noon before working out, when I got home from work and then before I went to bed…I was a 4x shitter.

Call of Duty World At War was a big one. I never got into the COD games that much.
There was a Medal of Honor: Airborne game that I liked more. It wasn’t on rails, and it had a weapons upgrading system that I found more fun.

I believe it means you have to follow a specific footpath through the game. You basically followed a trail in the COD game and shot the bad guys that showed up along the way.
In the MOH game, you were dropped into an area, and you could approach the various bad guy positions from different directions/angles and in whatever order you wanted to go in.

I voted lose the SB since it’s rigged. The NFL will get the Bills there and what better way to guarantee they win than to have them play the Vikings. Plus the NFL will get the “Two 0-4 teams face off in the SB” story line to push for 2 weeks.

cowboys game was the quietest of this year, gnats was probably 2nd quietest in my personal experience.
Halftime of the Colts was pretty quiet, from what I hear. Got a bit louder toward the end.

I bet. I’ve watched the replay a few times. You really notice the crowd wake up when the Vikes get to 21 points. I think JJ scored that one, and you could hear the crowd really start to get loud after that.
I’m still debating whether to call in on Monday or not.. Win or lose, I probably will not have a voice come Monday morning.

There was a time when the Eskimos (scarlet letter can’t call them that any more) were good enough that I thought they could give the worst NFL team a run for the money in a game played under Canadian rules. That wider and longer field, presnap motion, three downs, no yards on punts and kickoffs etc would cause havoc for a couple of quarters.
I have no reservations any more that the worst NFL team would even allow a CFL team on their side of the field.
