Aloha, Skoloholics! The Vikings made another free agency move today, as they re-signed C Garrett Bradbury.
Garrett Bradbury has been the Vikings center since they drafted him in the first round (18th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He started every game his first two years, then missed nine games over the past two years due to injury. Overall, he has remained mostly healthy. He’s been a strong run blocker, and a weaker pass blocker. He had his best year in 2022, but still failed to anchor against the bigger pass rushers and seemed to spend a lot of time in Kirk Cousins’ lap.

Details of the deal emerged.
The Vikings seemed to get a fairly good deal here. The market for centers is steep, so locking a decent player in for an AAV of barely over $5 million is not bad. You want the team to improve the position, but until they do, they at least have someone capable in there. I also believe that Bradbury makes a difference at the line in calling out protections. There seemed to be a noticeable drop-off when he was out of the lineup.
The moves keep coming, we’ll be here to keep you up to speed. SKOL!!!!!!!!!!!
