We had a little bit of action yesterday, as the Vikings signed a couple of guys yesterday. Powell could be a good replacement for Reagor at PR, as Reagor has given the team a few scares with bobbled punts. He’ll also provide some solid depth at WR. Reeder is depth. Still no major movement within the Vikings organization, but that hasn’t slowed down the speculation!

So just found out the golf course a mile and a half down the road has a golf simulator and they charge $20/half hour per 4-some. DAMMIT!!!!! I could have kept my slice in peak form all winter.
Yeah we charge $20 per half hour at the Balloon Factory. I’ve been swinging every day working on swing improvement and technique refinements. It has not helped actually gotten my swing in the moment of playing way worse but on the sim hit beautiful shots way more consistently. So I believe the reason why is as you change your swing for a while as you’re changing your muscle memory to the new improvements you’re stuck in the middle of the old way and the new and improved way for a while, especially hard when in the moment of pressure on the course. So it is a slow tedious process. I hope it all clicks soon and I come out of the fog of never never land with a better swing. If you’re there just to make cuts then hell yes great for that. Get down there with your 7 iron and driver and swing away.

In my admittedly cloistered workplace environment, the women are busier with direct patient contact than nerdly asswipe B, and in their down time they are more social ie chatting with one another about all aspects of life. If one of them sat in the corner typing on skoloholics that would lead to judgmental thoughts.

My wife for example is a Vikings fan and somewhat follows what they do but she is not concerned enough to be on a page like this. She would rather just see a headline and know what they are doing than sit and talk about everything they could possibly do. She has real friends to interact with instead of a bunch of people on a football blog that she has never met.

McDonalds sells the most hamburgers because they have the most locations, and they’re cheap. Not because they’re the best. The best costs more. This isn’t true of music.
Well they actually followed kind of opposite paths. McDonald’s was a real restaurant to begin and slowly deteriorated away to quantity over quality. The Beatles started as the first boy band really then decided they wanted more depth and took risks and branched out into and leading the path for other genres.

I chuckle at the skoloholics meme. I had heard very few Beatles songs before college, guy across the hall had all their albums on cassette tapes, I copied ’em all and had many hours of listening enjoyment while readin ritin and rithmeticing. Before college I was reduced to listening to whatever came in on the AM radio. Kids these days have no idea.
You mentioning AM radio makes me remember this. I bought a pickup while I was home on leave from the army one year. It had an AM radio only, but I didn’t give a damn, figured I’ll change it out one day & I was only in town another day or so, so didn’t really have time to change it out anyway.
Drove it back to Ft. Lewis WA from Bismarck. This was a 6.2 L diesel, those old loud gutless diesels from the mid 80s. Driving across Montana & all the way to Seattle with nothing but an AM radio (you have reception maybe 10% of the time, mostly white noise) and the sound of that loud-assed diesel.
I wished I would have put a good stereo in before leaving home.
I’ve gone full circle from wearing headphones while listening to power hour on 630 CHED so the music didn’t bother my parents to a high falutin’ acoustically accurate receiver amplifier equalizer expensive speakers to the point I now just listen to “classic” rock or country streamed to my hearing aids, about 50% blended to ambient noise…noise cancelling headphones on the tractor, or else streaming through a DeWalt worksite player.
Yeah, I’m pretty low-key nowadays.

Some folks around here can’t separate opinions on a subject from the facts about said subject like this… I fucking hate A-A-Ron but I understand at the same time what an amazing talent he is/was. The difference is there are easy ways to prove is somebody is under the influence of alcohol (PBT) but that does not exist for marijuana or other drugs. Other than SFSTs you a blood test will only tell you if somebody has consumed drugs in the last few days-weeks, depending on the drug. While well trained Drug Recognition Experts can usually tell you if and what drug somebody is under the influence of, people that well trained and experienced are few and far between, even in law enforcement.

No I don’t agree with the tweet at all (though I can be a contrarian at times, that is true. Love playing devil’s advocate as well). I don’t think we should make safe spaces for things that are illegal. I think we waste an insane amount of money on a failing war on drugs. We could use that money and resources to actually police the railways and other areas where there are real and actual victims.

Agreed. I hear the argument that they’ll commit crimes if they’re high. Well, if someone commits a robbery, they should be arrested. Doesn’t matter whether they are high or not, they should be arrested for the crime of robbery or whatever.
Exactly, the worst part is it causes more issues because for example. I was jamming with some guys in college. One guy was a waiter and he broke his foot so he sold some of his stash of weed to make rent that month. Some other guys thought he was a dealer. Broke in and help him at gunpoint thinking he had a lot of weed or a lot of money… he had neither. He couldn’t call the cops on the guys with guns. Because he had a small amount of weed that he got rid of to help pay rent.
Plus all the wasted resources. Police having to spend their time on enforcing a crime that doesn’t need to be in place. You incarcerate someone, it costs a shitload to warehouse them plus you lose out on the taxes they were generating (the unemployment rate among addicts is almost identical to the population as a whole, contrary to popular belief), you break up families, etc.
What we’re doing is not working. It’s time to use our noggins and come up with a better plan.

yeah, it was right on the bicep, I’d put my arm/shoulder up in front of my head. He just a skinny punk 15 y/o at that time, like 110 lbs, but by the age of 22 he was 6’6 and 270, finally got kicked out of that home when he partially blinded someone by punching them and breaking their orbital socket. I of course was long gone by then.

I’m having prosthetics installed in the knuckles in two of my fingers the week after next. Paying for my younger days now. Can’t close my right hand even half-way, so looking forward to having full range of motion again. Long recovery, I guess, but worth it.
I have dupytrens in right hand pretty bad from slamming gears and over use. Not painful however.

IIRC…it was three orange pills (this was in 8th grade all of two days after I moved to Wainwright in the middle of the school year). No that’s a good tune. I remember liking it when it came out. I think that early stuff is a better look at who they really wanted to be and they went from a catchy rock band with good song writing with some pop tendencies to a pop band with some rock tendencies. Exactly and I don’t know why they don’t do the same kind of idea with Hock too. Teams did it to the Vikings all year. Defense was bailing on the flats… throw the damn flats. Hard concept I know lol.
Well… with Turdberry back at center we have to do something to generate reasons to not rush the passer. So have to have the threat of the run and screens etc… We need to make teams pay for pressure up the middle, for DL getting too far up field creating creases.
