Interesting golf factoid

Zachary Harris Johnson is an American professional golfer who has 12 victories on the PGA Tour, including two major championships, the 2007 Masters and the 2015 Open Championship. Johnson turned professional in 1998 and in his previous 1,640 rounds on tour had never had a round of 18 consecutive pars.

Today he did that.

Good grief. Caught a bad cold from the grands (first cold since 2020). Daughter got attacked by a bat and is half way through rabies shots. Then yesterday, my second cousin’s (recently divorced) ex-wife committed suicide.

They’re like rats with wings. Disgusting creatures. Doc told her most bats don’t have rabies, but rabies is fatal and since the bat was on her face, she really needed to get the shots. Apparently they pass the disease through their saliva. If it touched her eyes, nose, or mouth, she’s at risk. They had coats on, so if it only touched that she’d be OK, but no, right in her face.

I was glad to see Williams pick up a championship ring with the Heat. The Sacramento teams he was on were incredibly fun to watch. I think they were a bit better with Bibby, though, in the long run.

Moss will always be my favorite football player, I reckon. Disappointed he never got a ring. Man, did my mom love watching him. I don’t think I even ever made her as happy as Moss did when he hauled in a bomb for a TD!

Seems to be a pretty large consensus of opinion that we should draft a CB. Certainly we need some help there. But our first pick? I wonder about this.
a minority thought. I f we had Jalen Ramsey last year playing CB do you think it would have made that much of a difference? On the other hand, what if we would have a Nick Bosa type up front? I think the later.
Trade up or go to FA (somehow) and get a stud for our front seven that hits people and brings it EVERY play. See what the does for the defense even with mediocre DBs.

I would be good with trading up to get a monster dline guy…pressure covers secondary weaknesses.

DL, DL, DL!

We need to murder the QBs of other teams. CBs don’t affect QBs that much. So they cover a receiver. Big deal. If the QB has time, they will just find someone else who isn’t covered…or they’ll get pass interference…or illegal contact. There’s lots of options there.

But they can’t do much if they are on the ground in a fetal position crying.

Course, then they get a personal foul and a first down anyway.

Moral of the story: have an elite QB or don’t bother…

There’s still a few decent FAs out there. After they figure out the Cook, Hunter and Z. Smith situations and see how the draft plays out I would expect them to bring one or two in on a 1 year deal.

I sent it to Mick last night but Wolfson (who’s legit) said Flores wants Hunter badly and Hunter has mutual feelings with Flores and wanting to be coached by him.

Hunter isn’t going anywhere.

I don’t know college that well. Hunter and smith confuse me. They were suppose to be studs. but watching them, Z doesn’t play half the time and Hunter looks lost. even when he puts his hand down he is not the force I would have thought. I’m not saying these guys are “puds”, but they aren’t studs either.
And lastly, in my opinion, the physicality of our front seven is poor.

And it certainly more than stats. I thought the Jets game was really revealing. The Jets were knocking the piss put of Kirk on every throw and JJ was getting clobbered on every catch. Our defense – white could have eaten a BigMac before every throw and the arm tackling and mistackling of their receivers was really poor. What do you think the 49er defense would do if the other team was knocking the crap out of Jimmy G and Debo

Hunter has been living on potential forever. Every season is going to be his breakout season, but he is always standard. Turning him into picks would be great. He’s not a needle-mover here.

Z is not a must-have either.

I understand holding on to them because we need to field a team, though. Sometimes you are just stuck with guys.

Edgecrusher71

I might be overly optimistic here but… I really think the less aggressive style of play calling last year meant defenders playing less aggressive. I’d like to see Z, Hunter, Davenport really cut loose plus Hicks is a good blitzer plus Asamoah is a missile. Take chances cut those guys loose and cause hell!

That’s why they’re attempting to keep Zadarius. I’ve posted many times the quotes from Belichick explaining how coverage and pass rush work in unison. When you don’t have one or the other offenses take advantage.

Right now we have both DE’s wanting paid which losing either is taking a step back and losing both is the entire defense taking a step back.

We don’t have the draft collateral to fix it so we have to cut payroll and pay one minimally if not both. That means Cook is gone for sure and there is still a possibility Kirk gets extended if we don’t draft a QB. We need to also sign O’Neil and Hock. Might be we draft a QB, sign all these guys knowing Kirk comes off the books in 24.

not at all…Vikings save $9 mill on a post june cut and we get rid of an oft injured RB who absolutely will decline or fall apart before 30. Time to move on. He is dynamic when healthy but I’d put my money on him missing more games not less.

If Porter is at 23 we probably take him. One would assume Kwesi’s calculation is if a top 3 corner prospect is there for our newly signed DC who’s basically making a lateral if not move down to be in the role he’s accepted I will get him the cornerstone talent he needs to run his scheme and there is no bigger need on defense than a legitimate corner.

If Porter is gone, likely trade back to acquire a corner in rd 2 like Forbes, Banks or another Flores covets.

He’s not BPA at 23, you could trade back and still get him and I would love to see a further invest in the oline. Reality is we’re in rebuild mode without the competitive bs. Build the lines and the edges of the defense and work from there. It’s always the safest course to take.

they’re invested right now with Hock, Oliver, and Ham. I don’t see more capital going that way.

I can see Branch, he’s so versatile he fills a lot of holes.

I like to suck on a cigar and drink a few beers on a nice day, golf is just the activity that allows me to

You bet. I will try to remember to do that this weekend.

They are challenging clubs to work with. I should upgrade, but I don’t currently golf enough to make it worth it.

That’s the trade-off Wrenage.

If you get new clubs, your distance will go up 15-20 yards per club. Today’s clubs are far superior to the good ole days.

FTFY

after 4 straight days of 85 and sunny thunderstorms roll in at midnight and sully up the entire morning. Have some tea and coffee instead and enjoy the morning HATING TRUMP.

I’m kinda apathetic about the draft this year, I have to work so I won’t be able to watch, and the Vikings are either picking late or don’t have many draft picks.

meh

Good for the potential draftee, I hope he gets picked early and gets a boatload of money…..and so you can start drinking early

Right? Probably 2nd round, could push to the 3rd. But some mocks have him in the first but I think that’s a tough spot for a smaller school TE.
