I did hear from an un-credible source that if the Vikes do trade down they will be looking for a #1 for next year with the idea being they will want to stockpile draft capital so they have the ability to move up next year and get a QB….

I heard CBS sports put out an analysis on which teams were the most likely to move up and which teams were the most likely to move down.
The Vikings were on both lists.

I think KAM will do something… move up or move down. I doubt he stays at 23. Draft night is the one time he’s in the spotlight and he wants to make a show of it. Much like he did last year.
I for one am scared. I don’t like the trades Kwesi made last year nor his reasoning for it all. I’m nervous he’s going to do something again that I’ll hate (that most people will hate) and we’ll have to listen to dumb reasoning again.
It’s also so hard to predict what we’re going to do that it makes no sense researching too much.
Just remember that 2023 is a moot point. Not a SB roster yet. Keep your eyes on 2024 and beyond, thats what KAM and KOC should be building for. Their moves should reflect that.

It’s weird to enter the draft where anything could happen. KAM could do anything. I think it’s likely they trade back, but they could trade up or stay at 23, too. Impossible to know. 99% of what we hear publicly is BS being put out by one GM or another.
Sad that there are no coaches at the college level that could have fixed his footwork or throwing mechanics over the course of 3 years……..
A lot of accuracy issues are not fixable to the level the NFL requires.

The accuracy on intermediate or even short routes concerns me, though his deep ball is pretty good. 53% completions is terrible at the college level in today’s game, especially when like half their passes are bubble screens.
Levis is the same. He’s bad at intermediate throws and only had a 65% completion rate with something like 25% of his passes being behind the line of scrimmage. Still better than Richardson but definitely concerning when you factor that their completion percentage is inflated.

I think one of the other unspoken problems is that killing babies has gone on for so long, that many people now have killing babies in their personal history.

The Vikings turned over the depth part of the roster last season… and now they’re turning over part of the top of the roster.
No Cook wasn’t always moving on, KAM and KOC had a number with Cook they could live with, probably around $7 mill a year. Cook thinks he can sign a LT deal for more thats the difference. He’s a dynamic player he proved that last year but the Cap has to be given it’s respect.
Maybe Cook figures out there isn’t a LT deal out there for him and he decides to stay for a reasonable number. It could happen. Example look at the Eckler situation in SD. He’s ready to sign his tag and bet on himself because he can’t find a team wanting to pay him and he’s every bit as dynamic as Cook, probably more so.
I still say Cook is on the Vikings roster for 2023.
