It would be a prudent move to do so in my opinion, but KAM is seeing he isn’t ever going to get Cousins to sign off on a contract where the team can do what they wish with him. I think that means KAM will let Cousins walk next year no matter how well he plays, and eat $28M in dead cap money in 2024, while starting over with someone else under center.

I’m hoping for a move up to nab QBOTF (I like AR personally, given the opportunity for him to develop a year behind KC) but my head is saying that KAM trades back to acquire more picks. Edge and WR are deep and there are a few diamonds to be found in rounds 4-6. If Hunter and Z are both on the block it would make sense to give Flores a couple young pieces to start his version of the 3-4

Lets see what those stats are like agasint teams that finished with winning records, made it deep into play offs, SBs, etc? Those stats dont look so good. Kirks the regular season champ. Thats all he will ever be.
Cousins stats don’t dip as much as you think against good teams over the totality of his career. Has he had bad games? Sure. But on average his stats are pretty good against good teams and bad teams.
That and kirk doesn’t play defense against these good teams with winning records either.
Who cares? We can go .500 with a rookie QB too. Goal is a SB. We KNOW Kirk cant do that, we DONT KNOW what a rookie QB will bring.

Got to drive that in summer of 2016, took it up from Red Lodge and over into Wyoming and into Yellowstone.
It’s pretty awesome up there and some really good fishing. I hit a golf ball of the top once. That drive had to have been over 1000 yards.
I have played the Mt. Massive Golf Course near Leadville CO, at 9,680 feet. A little different playing at altitude.

If the Vikings are looking for a QB, especially to run KOC’s whiz bang system, I think they should be very cognitive of said QB’s S2 Cognition test score.
I have said for decades that the thing that separates really good NFL QB’s from their peers is their decision making ability, especially their speed of processing and decision making when distracted. The S2 Cognition test provides insight into a QB’s innate ability in this regard. Physically and athletically gifted QB’s can do the job, but the guys who excel have it between the ears.

Yeah, IDK, put each QB on a different team and everything looks different. What would Richardson look like at Ohio with better coaching than Florida? What would Bryce Young look like in Kentucky playing in a pro style offense with limited skill position players and not good oline play?
How can they even be compared them? You bring up comp % but which one is Richardson?
By actually watching them play so you can see context. I don’t think I brought up completion percentage but I know Richardson’s is under 55%. Also if you base where a player should be drafted purely on stats, Case Keenum should have gone #1 overall.

No. I’ve watched all of Richardsons games which was easy because only played a bakers dozen in college, not all but most of Levis, not a ton but some of stroud, and barely any of Young, its why I don’t know if I would take Young over everyone else, or Hooker over Stroud or whatever. I don’t watch anything other than Gopher games and Big Ten FTMP but I like to go watch the games of QBs that seem polarizing, like Levis or Richardson.

Well that or just going and finding someone else’s analysis to support your own narrative without actually watching, which we have all done from time to time.
That being said I don’t think the Vikings should trade into the top 3 for either Levis or Richardson, way too much bust potential and hype after the combine with Richardson, and Levis IDK, he didn’t get any better from any of the games I watched and had better stats his junior year, is part of that because he’s actually entitled or arrogant and doesn’t take coaching? Is part of it because he played hurt almost the whole senior year? Is it because the one legit WR got drafted?
I like both as future Vikings though, Richardson has great deep ball, obviously athleticism, strong arm, and seems like a good dude from what he’s said to the media. Levis obviously has elite arm talent and good mobility, he also played injured almost the entire season so at least you know he’s not a pussy. They’re both big physical guys at 6’4 and 230 and 240 lbs respectively. I just think there are enough questions with both that they aren’t worth the risk to trade up to 2 or 3 like is being reported.

Hooker is way more proficient from 10-20 than any of your 4 guys and better than all 4 over 20 except Richardson and Stroud down the middle.
