Minnesota Vikings News:
From SI.com, Dalvin Cook says the Vikings scheme didn’t match his ‘bread and butter’. I think he had some pretty good years in Minny, and he’s probably right, the new offensive scheme may not have been the best fit for his skill set.
Cam Bynum spent this past off-season in his grandmother’s homeland of the Phillippines, per the Star-Tribune.
The Giants and Saquon Barkley have resumed talks regarding a long-term contract, according to NFL.com.
NFL.com looks at top ‘making the leap’ candidates for 2023.

Here’s a great one from Dropkick Murphy’s, this is Shipping Up To Boston. Enjoy!
Some late night reading and a funny gif. Goodnight.

This morning you guys are discussing McCarthy (political) and I post a picture of Charlie McCarthy (and Edgar Bergen) and I don’t get one comment, reply or thumbs up.
I hate all of you.
I didn’t know who that was. Sorry.
Edgar Bergen was a comedian. Charlie McCarthy was his ventriloquist doll. Edgar Bergen is Candace Bergan’s dad.
I don’t think we appreciated Kodiak enough.
DEI over people who know what they are doing.
Rush said he valued captains who were “inspirational” over experience, noting that “anybody can drive the sub,” which is controlled with a $30 video game controller.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/media/oceangate-ceo-explains-why-he-didnt-want-hire-50-year-old-white-guys-pilot-subs
An exaggerated sense of self at work here. I know better than anyone else.
I believe I know my self worth and I don’t think it is exaggerated. lol
Correct me if stupid. Is there anyway to tether a tiny sub or just to deep?
I think it can be, but it’s not a quick operation.
You mean – find it, then get something close to it and attach a cable, and then have a surface ship reel it in?
I mean tether when you drop it. Prob not possible, or they would do it. FFS, tiny sub with parts from the dollar tree and a xbox remote.
Actually diving on a wreck with a tether is a bad plan. First the tether would have to be about 3 miles long, and when diving the wreck, it could cause the sub to get tangled up.
True. Well, less than 24 hours oxygen at this point. Believe it’s over anyways.
Have to agree. The French submersible won’t even be on-site till tonight. I think they have about 10 hours of oxygen left at this point.
There is only one submersible in the world capable of doing this. It’s a French submersible that can dive to 20,000 feet. The French just received permission to send that vehicle yesterday.
Guessing imploded, may never know.
Someone will fund a search and recovery (not rescue) to bring the remains home. Sooner or later the sub will be found.
Just sit right back
And you’ll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful trip,
That started from this Northern port,
Aboard this tiny ship.
The mate was a mighty sailin’ lad,
The Skipper brave and sure,
Five passengers set sail that day,
For a three hour tour,
A three hour tour.
little gilligan
Probably too insensitive…
You were serious earlier and I was insensitive. This js just sort of crazy to me – especially the more I hear.
OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush told CBS reporter David Pogue last year:
“At some point, safety just is pure waste. I mean, if you just want to be safe, don’t get out of bed. Don’t get in your car. Don’t do anything. At some point, you’re going to take some risk, and it really is a risk/reward question. I think I can do this just as safely by breaking the rules,”
But as JR pointed out below, now we’re faced with the dichotomy of doing the humane thing (try to save them) versus letting them make bad choices and suffer the consequences.
Yeah the cheap build narrative going around is just a head scratcher why anyone would dare get in that thing going to that depth. Reminded me of this….
Laughing… yeah that was always a military comment. Any supplies, armor, etc we had were provisioned through the lowest bidder. K-Mart specials is what we called a lot of stuff.
I remember the ‘Mattel’ stamp on my M16 in basic training.
There is no way to rescue them in time.
Libs don’t want to hear it. If you are a man who wants to be a woman you can, and further, you can impose yourself in any manner you wish on real women.
Well, so much for women’s rights.
Wait a minute…I thought for a second it was just a normal dude coed locker room situation and he’s like….hell ya I’ll use that locker room.
Well a long time ago I was in the field on a mission and one of the guys on my team said “I’ll accept gays in the military as soon as the SECDEF says it’s fine for me to shower with members of my sexual preference”. Got a good laugh, but there’s something to it too.
Rights and right aren’t always going to match up.
Yea – probably knew quite a few guys that would identify female if they were then allowed to go shower with the WACs
And to be completely fair, in my Army days probably knew a few gals that would change places with Riley if the guy had appropriate “bona fides”
The NCAA should be sued.
As soon as I see the generic PS3 controller… it’s a no go for me.
LOL.
Yeah. You would think you might want something better than that, on a 12,000 foot plunge to the bottom of the ocean. Maybe they forgot to pack batteries for the PS3.
Wasn’t even name brand hahahah
Right?! lol…it was like a $20 Logitech one you used to get at Wal Mart or Gamestop 13 years ago
If I’m paying $250,000 for this trip, I would have gladly paid another $1,000 or so for an upgraded controller. Plus an additional $10 per hour for a qualified submarine pilot.
lol
Shit, the one guy and his son are on there, he paid $500,000, he could have probably built his own sub, that was more safe and hired a pilot for that money.
I just finished the video. With all due respect to the potential deceased and their families, my main question is: how in the world are there 5 people in this world that are rich (and presumably, successful) enough to afford this trip but stupid enough to not take one look at this setup and say, ‘nah, I’m out’.
The only answer I can come up with is, ego. On the one hand, if they’re dead, it’s a tragedy. On the other hand, it’s hard to not feel that they got what they deserved. Not to mention the taxpayers funding of their rescue effort.
This story needs to be on the next Darwin Awards, and it should be the betting favorite to win.
Basically sums up my feelings as well. I wish this wouldn’t have happened, and I get anxiety even thinking about passing away in those circumstances but yeah, yikes, talk about putting too much faith in “the experts”. At some point your Lizard brain and common sense should take over. Hopefully the tragedy leads to something good, or improved regulations and safety for companies operating these types of ventures.
Sometimes the most rich and the smartest don’t have much common sense. A bright person whom I can’t recall once said – good common sense is not that common.
For me to just sit here and think people paid 250 grand to put themselves in that position, it’s mind boggling. It’s starting to sound like it’s safer for the average Joe to go drive an Indy race car at 200 mph without training or a seat belt..
I agree….and with that said I…uh…have two tickets for a submarine tour I’ll let go for 100k.
That’s a deal, but only if we are going under water and leave the hatches open.
LT DAN!
Imagine paying $250k to essentially die.
That’s what we call a poor return on investment…
Good point. People have been dying for free since the dawn of man.
At this point, I doubt there’s any ‘essentially’ about it.
Yeah not good
OceanGate even looks like a tomb inside.
Eh, when you’re the richest person in your country (one of the passengers), thats chump change for a fun excursion to a cursed ship.
Still
I wonder what they are doing for their final moments?
Playing cards?
Eating?
Drinking?
Praying?
My guess is it cracked and the pressure/water/temperature killed them pretty quickly.
Instantly.
It could be stuck. Guy said his biggest fear was it getting caught on something.
We don’t know.
I served on submarines in the Navy. It was not uncommon for newbies to show up with a smile on their face upon reporting to their first sub, and then head for the hills the first chance they got after their first sea trial or patrol.
I have to admit the arrogance of these 5 (unfortunate) individuals pisses me off because you’ve essentially taken a vehicle that was not built to safely do what it’s supposed to do, cram 5 novices into a tube and send them out against mother nature and 20,000 ft of sea pressure.
So, I consider your “stuck” theory, which is plausible. What do you think happens when you have 5 guys jammed in tight quarters in a tube, several thousand feet underwater and no real experience for the situation, and then something, even relatively minor, goes wrong?
All it takes is one person to panic…a switch gets bumped, a lever gets knocked, etc, etc… In the famous words of Bill Paxton, “Game over, baby!”
Yeah two miles down and 5000 psi something cracks like a cheap lex window that wasn’t spec for that depth and needless to say shit goes sideways real quick. They’re fish food by now.
I have no clue.
Odds are it collapsed.
But yea, the panic was/is likely very intense.
Dalvin Cook says Vikings’ scheme didn’t match his ‘bread and butter’
In an interview on The Adam Schefter Podcast, the 27-year-old said the Vikings’ move towards a pass-first offense led him to anticipate he would be released.
“The move was anticipated because I’m a three-down back,” said Cook. “Running the ball, outside zone, inside zone, that’s what I do. That’s my bread and butter. That’s not their scheme. They want to get the ball out wide to the guys outside and they want to toss the ball around. That’s not what I’m looking forward to do. I want somebody that’s going to ground and pound, and we’re going to make plays on the outside and I’m going to help somebody win. That was just the move I anticipated.”
Very obvious bc we passed 65% of the time last season
Did we pass because the running game got stuffed so often though?
Yeah the run game was very feast or famine. I get we were down alot but even when we had the lead or could still be in position to run the ball, it rarely went well
Agree. Will a second year in the scheme help make our run game more effective? One would think so, but nothing is guaranteed except Cousins contract… grin.
I thought (read here) our line had pretty good run blocking grades – at least much better than passing. That being so,an elite back should do very well. Moreover, most of the defenses were stacking against us passing.
In terms of PFF grading, the Vikings finished 26th in team pass blocking grade (54.7) and 16th in run blocking grade at 69.1.
How many teams ground and pound in the NFL these days?
I certainly wouldn’t think Miami is a ground and pound team.
Salient point. The NFL is a pass first league. Ravens ran the ball more than any other team over the last three years. Forty Niners love the ground game too. Eagles as well. Vikings under Zimmer were devoted to building the offense around the RB. That’s about it.
Cook is just blabbing.
He likely just takes the best deal regardless of “ground and pound”.
Maybe Dalvin is right. But I can recall many times there were screens, flat passes that elite backs eat up especially in one on one situations that went no where
And the short yardage runs, he was like 42 out of 44 backs that got zero or negative yards. Something was clearly wrong somewhere.
Never thought Cook a threat outside, screen or run. Mostly off tackle, where we suck most.
And certainly nat a ground and pound.
Rescue ships with crucial deep ocean ROVs (remote operated vehicles) will only arrive on site after the missing Titan submersible crew members run out of oxygen, the US Coast Guard said in a press conference on Wednesday (21 June).
Captain Jamie Frederick, the response coordinator for the First Coast Guard District said that five rescue vessels will arrive in the next 24-48 hours, after the estimated time when the Titan’s oxygen reserves will have been exhausted.
Thought i read Navy or Coast Guard not aware of any noise pings.
The US Coast Guard offered more insight into the mysterious “banging” noises that crew searching for the missing surmisable heard.
Captain Jamie Frederick of the US Coast Guard said that airplanes that detected the noises on Tuesday also heard them on Wednesday but the results were inconclusive.
Mr Frederick said upon hearing the sounds, ROVs (remote operated vehicles) were re-located to investigate where they were coming from. However, they did not find the missing submersible nor found out where the sounds were coming from.
Experts in the US are analyzing the noises to better understand where or what they could have come from.
It’s from the aliens living in the ocean. The Titan found them so the aliens took them out so as not to lose their cover.
Completely plausible…
It was Megalodon and now he’s on his way to NY harbor.
Read one it was every 30 mins. Sounds bogus.
Maybe the Grandfather Clock on the Titanic is still working.
In all seriousness, if you havent seen it yet. The video where James Cameron finds the Turkish baths and many things including wooden chairs, tiles and light fixtures are still there and intact. The blue and white paint on the tile is as vibrant as the day it sank. Its WILD!
Really?
I would assume salt water would just destroy it.
I would have thought so as well. Tile, not so much, its dark and cold down there, but the chairs and changing rooms, hard carved wood, its wild.
My shower and tub need to be replaced every 10 years with regular water hitting it.
Unfortunately, they’re likely dead. I expect the vessel cracked and sank to bottom.
Sounds like the company the funded and built the sub liked to cut corners, and used a lot of home made and commercial grade parts. A lot of people backed out of the project and expeditions out of fear of something like this happening. Looks like they were right. Scary stuff.
The owner of the company is the one who defended those decisions saying “safety is too costly and impedes innovation” and “there’s risk in everything we do”.
He is on the lost submersible right now.
As he should be. I dont wish death on innocent people, but, if anyone is going to lose their life over negligence, at least the guilty party is there with them, and maybe they can make peace with one another before they pass. Or it just imploded, and that was that.
He also didn’t want to hire experienced submarine operators.
It’s very innovative to plunge to your death.
That’s incredible! One of the most dangerous places on earth and you’re cutting corners. And then people are paying 250 grand …..
The guy literally stated “Our industry is TOO safe” WTF lol. Check out the video I posted above
This is probably going to come off as harsh, but given what we now know. This guy puts together a rather half assed operation, given the dangers, and gets some rich “adventures” to buy in, and now the world is spending millions to bail everyone out.
True, but humanity demands we give it all we got, regardless.
Of course you are right. This is just mind boggling to me. This place is as dangerous as space. On space craft, every system has like 5 – 7 backups.
Oh well, again you are correct and I was too harsh.
I’m headed to Amsterdam, but I know you guys are going to be there.
Are the gays in MPLS now pissed that the trannies highjacked Loring Park?
Enjoy the hash bars.
Maybe you can finally get laid since prostitution is legal. Hope he’s everything you desire.
lol
Look like this might be true…
Ex-Vikings RB Dalvin Cook Expected to Sign $21 Million Deal With AFC Contender (msn.com)
I’d be shocked if Cook gets that kind of money guaranteed.
Huge if true
Yeah that’s a bit rich.
if he gets it good for him.
but he’s only made 32m in his career… guessing there’s a lot of incentives in there.
Hes gonna get at least 7 mil. Book it
I can see that. I’m sure the Vikings threw it out there too.
It’s about 5m less than what he was due on his contract with the Vikings.
If Miami wanted him bad enough they would’ve made the trade.
will he surprised if he pulls it off
A question for the folks that get into all the football stats. I’m a little old school and sort of still uncertain about some of it. Sort of like turning it into diving or figure skating with degree of difficulty stuff.
So, I was reading up some on PFF and their grading plus/minus two on every play and sort of add it up ( I think ).
This made me wonder. Suppose we have a play and get 4 outstanding blocks but one whiff yielding a ten yard loss. Then another four outstanding blocks and 1 whiff (different guy) and a ten yard loss. Then again – different guy, punt and then a repeat for two more times. At the end of those 5 plays your offense could have lost 50 yards because of bad blocking, but individual lineman would all grade out very well in the aggregate.
Is this correct, or am I just not getting how they do this?
There’s a overall line grade and individual, as it should be.
So the line as a whole would get a bad grade, but as individuals they would get good ones? Just seems strange at the end of the day your offense could stink because of bad blocking, but all the lineman grade out well. But, OK and thanks for answering.
Not sure what factors individual. Like D-line. Love replays, pretty much know who is crap.
Just trying to learn some about this stuff. People seem to put a lot of stock in those numbers. I’m just sort of skeptical, especially this degree of difficulty stuff.
For example, an interesting exchange between buck and Aikman during a Packers game last year. Rogers threw a pass woefully short on an out and Buck says that was a poor throw by Rodgers. And Aikman says unless the receiver was suppose to run an 8 yard out instead of a 15 yard one. Yet the QRB guys put a grade on it.
Aptly put, things as fans we don’t know, unless its Reagor quiting on a route. LOL
True, most fans know about stopping on a route or when a lineman gets knocked into the QB’s lap. It’s the so called analysts(experts) grades that are sketchy yo me. Thanks again for thoughts.
kiddo and I put on the hail gear & played in the hail last night.
In the middle of a drought, it rains once every 5 years, and that one night was game night. Not gonna bitch about rain so we just played catch out in the rain until the lightning and hail started.
Still pissed that the game got rained out.
Little League game?
Yeah, Rookie division, 8 year olds. I coach & my son plays.
Must be fun
Of all the baseball I played, I always look back fondly at Liitle League. It also means a lot since my Dad was my coach.
Your son will always appreciate it.
Of all the baseball I played, I look back most fondly at little league days. My Dad was also the coach.
Your son will to.
Airport Mpls has recorded a tenth of a inch in June.
Holy crap, that’s dry.
I have a CE course this afternoon from 2:00-5:00. At least it’s about an interesting subject: contract law. My Business Law professor from my undergrad school teaches the CE course, good guy & a good attorney.
I know this seems like an oxymoron
Not sure man. Think i’d rather watch a Twins game.
Pretty sweet. Why are Vikes so lame and never do anything different?
They’ll wear it week 8 and week 18 against us.
Ooof I dont think you wanna be affiliated with anyone from the Smith family.
They’re actually making a lot of breakthroughs with psychedelics, TBH.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds……
The Douche goes psychedelic
I agree with him on this subject.
So opium, caffeine, morphine, codeine, cocaine, and aspirin aren’t drugs either?
Does not match the Narrative.
What? Who said that?
Believe it was a response to Rodgers saying his Drug of Choice was ‘a plant and not a drug.’
I agree that there are medicinal uses for psychedelics, just basing it off of research. They created psychedelics & were having success with them, but then Nixon screwed up with the war on drugs (failure) and it stimied all research until recently. Check out the research, it’s fascinating.
I’m not talking about recreational use.
There are medicinal uses for opiates, too. It’s the most effective pain reliever. However, it carries with it sever risk for addiction.
Psychedelics are not addictive.

Gotcha – I took it as you were replying to Douche’s statement that it wasn’t a drug. My bad. Won’t happen again.
Personally, I don’t think more drugs is the right answer.
God Fuck you NFL you greedy fucks. Still not making a dime off me because of add blockers.
Yep, they’re evil.
I got an idea for the daily videos. Every day we should post the recap/replay of every Packers loss from last season.
An improvement over what we get now.
(full disclosure, I don’t watch what we get now)
Eh, its usually music videos of song iv heard many times. I dont mind them.
I ‘don’t mind them’ either.
I just don’t find them interesting enough to watch.
I’d love to, but the fuckass NFL people won’t allow a video to be embedded.
Some agent expects Cook to sign a 2 yr, 21 million contract with fins.
Thats….wayy to much for someone who might play 15 games total of those two years. Guess it depends how they use him?
Don’t know how much truth to it but i wouldn’t do it.
Structured something like 6 mil gtd this season with some incentives and zero gtd money for next year.
FTP. Enjoy your day Greta. Think it’s 11:18 AM. I don’t know time zone though so some of you may be already dead.
Its me. Im dead.
I took a nice steamy shit this morning Gretta, does that count? Do you think that sped up “Global Warming”?
Not sure what her Religion says about human shit, I know that they don’t like cow farts.
Methane is methane, right?
I have heard that they want to kill all the cows to stop their farts.
It wouldn’t surprise me if they wanted to kill all humans to save the planet.
It is a fact that Ireland is considering killing 200,000 cows for this very reason.
I knew I read it somewhere.
Thanks for the reference.
I was absolutely stunned when I hear it!
Nothing the Stupid Libs do surprises me any more.
Makes me angry, yes, surprises me, not so much.
LOL…
So if Ireland kills off their cows but nobody else does, how does this truly affect the climate?
How is it measured?
How is the change in methane measured?
What percent of change in methane is considered enough to make a difference?
I know we will never get real answers.
I’m just taking the facts they claim they know, when they really don’t know.
Ireland doesn’t smell as bad…DUH.
This whole cow thing is so stupid they should be embarrassed to even mention it.
I believe California passed a law that will restrict the number of cows in the state by a certain year.
So they won’t have enough electricity, not enough water, and pretty soon not enough food. Great place to live.
I have not heard that one.
But it won’t surprise me if true.
Just glad this time next year I will be living in Idaho.
Ditch Cali license plates before you get there.
Once we take control of the Boise House it will be the first thing we do.

^^George Carlin as Al Sleet, the hippie dippy weatherman. Coincidentally, 15th anniversary of Carlin’s death is tomorrow.
He was great.
Indeed
Wow, has it been that long? He was one of the all-time greats. I got to see him live in 1990 or sometime around then.
Except when she wants to fly all over the world trying to sell her book.
Then it’s perfectly fine for her to do what she wants, and it doesn’t count.
Especially if the dems end up trying to run Sleepy Sniffer again and the Republicans go with the orange man, would there be enough people on both sides disgusted enough to vote for a 3rd party candidate like Manchin or Gabbard?
Good question. Sadly a Sniffer/Orange man election appears where we are headed.
I don’t know if Manchin could do it, but I know quite a few people on both sides of the aisle that would vote for Gabbard.
I like Gabbard a lot. She doesn’t check all of my boxes on some big issues but I do believe America would be better served by either her or Trump…but hard to say. The media would likely crucify her like they did Trump.
The Media will crucify anyone that is not Sniffer/Gavin/Random Stupid Lib.
True.
Correct
I doubt Manchin runs.
He will fall in with the dems once they take him out to the woodshed.
Would not trust him even if he did,
Not bad for a DemoCrud but still horrible.
Gabbard lol and her Rouge style hair has 0% chance. Please…run her.
We’re headed for Biden in 2028, as well. He’s going for the Roosevelt record.
He’ll be a corpse by then. Well I guess democrats keep voting after they’re dead so why not be president?
A corpse is still better than a Republican.
A corpse is better than any politician, there’s no chance they can screw anything up.
There’s a lot of truth in that. To that end, George Will once said the public is best served when Congress is in recess.
Unless it’s a political luncheon and the dead politician is decaying in the middle of the table.
Traitor Joe Manchin is a pan head shit bag shyster from my home state. Don’t vote for his sorry ass he’s the biggest grifter of them all.
Looks like he’s got my vote, thanks for the ringing endorsement.
Yep, basically I just need to know who Lifer hates the most and that person’s got my vote.
Rocky Franchise Rankings:
Rocky – Best boxing movie in history
Rocky Balboa – Stallone’s best acting performance, also most realistic fight scenes
Rocky II
Rocky IV – My personal favorite, fuck Russia/USSR
Rocky III – Kirk Cousins of Rocky movies, good not great
Creed – Ok
Creed II – Ok, also fuck Russia/USSR
Rocky V – An abomination that should never have been made, its amazing they continued after that shitshow
Creed III – No Rocky? WTF, sucks ass automatically but also the storyline sucked and so did the film
I am a big fan of Rocky Balboa, even though it is considered by many to be trash. it is one of his best performances as well as Last Blood.
I never heard that, I thought it was viewed as a way better finish to the saga than V
It might be in my inner circle of Rocky fans.
I also prefer the Cinderella Man over Rocky, mostly because it is based on a true story.
You trying to say Rocky isn’t a true story? Cinderella man is also elite
Rocky is loosely based on a true story. I cannot remember the boxers name, but he sued Sly for stealing his story.
I was just kidding, I know Rocky isn’t based on a true story, though like you said, inspired by a boxer, I can’t remember his name either.
Chuck Wepner – his fight with Ali in ’75 was the inspiration for Rocky.
How would anyone but Stallone know what the inspiration for Rocky was?
I just watched Rocky III not too long ago on a whim.
I was thinking about the time when Mr. T, Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan and Eddie Murphy absolutely DOMINATED culture. Imagine what they could have done if systemic issues didn’t hold them back. It would have been nuts!
I’ve only watched Rocky I – IV, and I think I’ll keep it that way.
Although I think using Roman numerals is dumb if you aren’t Roman.
Well he’s the Italian Stallion so he qualifies I guess as Roman.
I suppose, close enough. He’s ‘Murican, though.
I like Creed I and II, have not watched III yet.
Just don’t watch V
I won’t.
Is that the one with the bratty kid? I never watched that.
‘…Hey Tommy….
…. I didn’t hear no bell….’
Happy Hump Day!
Slackers
Anyone read lips??? What the hell is she saying??
One of my favorites…
I’m gonna f you like this Ben.
She is saying is this how you do the dew.
Nice pooper.
Better today and back to work. Still coughing but that’ll last a couple weeks knowing myself.
Wife got it and is down for the count today. Hoping baby Skolly doesn’t get it… possible
he had it the last couple weeks and we finally got it.
There is something going around with a long lingering cough. My wife has been coughing for about a month now, brother, too.
Wife ended up getting codeine cough medicine so she could sleep…so I could sleep, too.
I had it all last week. Cough medicine did not work, since my cough was not in my chest, but in my throat.
Smoke related?
You’re supposed to gargle with it then……
Yeah I might need that
kids are disease factories, its definitely baby Skolly’s fault
RFK Jr Censored for not parroting what dems approve of.
Sad state of affairs.
When one party controls all messaging to the populace, and censors all opposing voices, it’s the end of Democracy. Our Government representatives are called that because they are not our rulers or dictators. Their job is to represent us, not rule us.
One of the greatest political hypocrisies of all time was when Trump got elected and the Washington Post added this post to their heading – Democracy dies in darkness.
Yep, the left is all about the Government ruling us in a Socialist society where they have all the power over the populace, but they scream that Democracy dies when a conservative is elected.
RFK Jr a threat to your health……
https://www.latimes.com/business/story/2023-06-19/column-robert-f-kennedy-jr-is-not-only-a-threat-to-your-health-but-a-threat-to-our-democracy
Everybody who doesn´t spew the mainstream narrative is a “threat do democracy”, it seems.
Just finished up his Joe Rogan interview and its wild. And people completely scoff at what he is saying like he’s making it up. So many sheep in this country, just shut up and follow the narrative.
I’ll have to listen to the rest of that on my walk this morning, I started it but haven’t finished it yet.
He’s an interesting guy. To my tastes, it seems like he is always talking with a raspy voice and congestion. Perhaps just a superficial take on my part.
Oh his voice is really hard to listen to sadly. But he is a good speaker so i got through it
His voice is like a tamer version of Steve-O
Steveo is high pitched , he sounds like he’s always on helium lol.
Yup, he’s funny as hell. I listen to his podcasts.
lol…99 out of 100 doctors recommend the vaccine. Let’s interview the one that doesn’t and push that narrative. Joe Rogan summed up in one sentence.
99 of 100 scholars once believed the earth was flat. Nothing wrong with talking about it. I am vaccinated but shutting down different opinions is 100 percent bullshit.
99 of 100 doctors once said if you were vaccinated you could not spread the virus..Guess What? They were wrong!
99 of 100 doctors once said wearing masks was important to stop the spread of the disease. Guess What? They were wrong as several studies have now proven Masking had little to no effect on the spread.
Don’t be a sheep…its ok to question.
No it is not and you are a threat to democracy. Xi approves this sentiment.
99 of 100 doctors once said if you were vaccinated it would limit the spread.
None of them ever promised 100% immunity.
Did you know after COVID the CDC definition of the word “vaccination” was changed? Prior to 2015 the CDC defined vaccination as: “Injection of a killed or weakened infectious organism in order to prevent disease.” From 2015-2021 the CDC definition said: “The act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce immunity to a specific disease.” Beginning in September 2021, the CDC defined vaccination as: “The act of introducing a vaccine into the body to produce protection from a specific disease.” They went from “producing immunity” to “produce protection” based on the failure of the COVID vaccine to achieve immunity. The CDC of course denies this, and says it’s simply an “evolution” of the word. So Polio vaccines no longer provide immunity? UImmm…. That would be wrong. A true vaccine DOES provide immunity, not protection. The medical community has lied to us, then changed the definition of a word to defend their lies.
Lol….yeah doctors back in 1350. We’ve evolved but nice try at a relative comparison.
A real man admits when they are wrong lifer. You should try it. But that takes courage so…
Morning Skolholers!
Woke up in the mountains in Vermont. Absolutely beautiful. We’re in a high-end AirBnB and this place is insane. Secluded and surrounded by nature. Hope this finds you all well and prospering. Was a bit homesick yesterday morning and missing my best good buddy when I flip on Skoloholics and there he is, in all his toothy glory, to remind me he’ll be there when papa gets home. Made. My. Day. Thank you to whoever posted that picture, assuming it was GF – I’m grateful!
Skol!
Vermont is one of the 4 states I haven’t been to. I need to get there. We have friends in Maine that we want to visit, so I’m guessing we’ll hit Vermont while we’re there.
Lot of hills. Gorgeous driving. Apparently it’s state law here that roadside billboards are banned – which is nice, also necessary considering this landscape could easily kill you if you don’t respect it – which I appreciate.
Awesome. I was close to Vermont when I drove truck to New Hampshire, but never made it over to Vermont.
Try to stay away from Massachusetts. The drivers there are called Massholes, and they embrace the reference.
Unless you LIKE 20-mile long traffic jams…………
Maine ain’t no treat sometimes
That guy is really amped up.
He’s also a fan of Bill Clinton, apparently.
Not heading that far East. In southern Vermont for a few days, then up to Burlington for the ceremony and reception. Decent traffic delay outside of Albany but otherwise pretty smooth sailing. I-90 thru upstate New York is a cool drive.
Oh wow, I had friends who lived in Burlington for a few years, they started a church there or something. They’re down in Florida now, they’re the people who set my wife & I up on our first date.
Stop at the Vermont Inn!
You can meet Darryl
Isn’t it Larry, Darryl and Darryl?
Nice. If it’s not a long drive for you, stop at Diana’s Baths in New Hampshire. They were pretty cool.
A place where you take baths? I hope there are curtains or something, or does everyone get their own bathroom?
LOL. I was skeptical too. It’s a series of natural cascading pools/waterfalls along a stretch of mountain river.
The picture reminds me that I need to get my handgun purchased. 2 of my kids have their conceal and carry permits. I just want one for the house. I’m open to suggestions.
One of the great lines of all time in cinema.
agreed/ Those movies are fun.
I have a Springfield XD9 Mod2, and I LOVE it. It’s a semi-subcompact, but still has the 4″ barrel, so it’s compact but still accurate as hell. I love that thing.
That’s a 9mm
There’s cheaper, but you get quality and convenience/safety with a Beretta 92.
Glock. I like the 22 but that’s a full size gun that some don’t like.
I like the glock 9mm. with a laser sight since that looks cool in the movies. but it tells the bad guys where to shoot me also.
For home defense, I feel the 12 guage is the best option close up vs a handgun.
I am not missing with the shotgun.
I can recommend the CZ P-09, a fine handgun.

Maybe we need to send this guy.

Is this the best we have for Hump Day gifs?
Sad
Weird it didn’t work for me, sometimes I have problems with posting gifs on mobile.
Derek Carr:
3 years, $121,500,000
Guaranteed money is $65,278,000
Avg per year guaranteed: $21,760,000
—————————————
Daniel Jones:
4 years, $160,000,000
Guaranteed money is $92,000,000
Avg per year guaranteed: $23,000,000
————————————–
They both get most of their guarantees’ up front.
If Kirk signed a contract like that, I would be ok with it.
Kirk would NEVER sign a contract like that.
A time tested adage – never say never.
I agree. Cousins will not sign a contract that gives the team the ability to do with him what they will. That and he is too smart to sign a contract with a lot of “fake money” in it. A contract that says it will pay you $45M a year but only guarantees $23M a year is worth $23M a year, not $45M. It’s the game NFL teams set up to their advantage. Cousins isn’t a fool. He will make sure whatever contract he signs is worth every penny and not full of false promises.
I agree.
There were just some Kirk Crusaders who went ballistic that Carr and Jones got their $40 million per year contract, which is meaningless.
Kirk plays hardball.
He learned the ropes when dealing with Bruce Allen who only wrote team friendly deals and never lived up to them. Cousins watched as worthless deal after worthless deal was concocted by Allen, and he would not sign one with him. He offered to play for the Redskins for three years at $18M a year fully guaranteed. Allen blew him off and offered $16M a year with almost no guaranteed money. Cousins refused to sign it. Allen was forced to use the franchise tag on Cousins and ended up paying him almost $20M for one year. Next year Allen offered another bogus contract and Cousins refused to sign it and Allen franchise tagged him again and paid him $24M for one year. Then Allen knew he was beat and brought in Alex Smith and let Cousins walk.
Allen was a puppet for Snyder. Believe the Vikings are better run than that group and can work this out as it’s in everyones best interest – no spite stuff like the Redskins.
You are correct about the fake contract money. Still, believe Kirk will retire a Viking – maybe two more years guaranteed money and the third some guaranteed some performance/health.
I hope Cousins stays with the Vikings, but as you know, I don’t think there is any chance he does. Too many factors against it. KAM wants “flexibility” which is why he turned down the Cousins camp offer earlier this year. Cousins isn’t going to sign a contract where he can be traded or released without getting paid.
Cousins has made his money and you are correct about the trade cause. but he’ll be more flexible about money out year guarantees than in the past.
Don’t know much about KAM other than he is an analytics guy. If so and he does some type of EV analysis like the stats guys do, everything will point to getting it done.
I’m not sure what incentives you could add to Kirk’s contract, other than playoff and Super Bowl victories, that would not affect the salary cap.
From my understanding, which I could be way off, if you were to add yardage or touchdown incentives, instead of guaranteed money, it would still reflect that dollar amount against the cap for the current year of contract, as he usually hits those marks.
However, if he did miss those marks, it would be removed from the following years cap.
So you would roughly have to have $60 million worth of incentives split up among incentives, he is not likely to attain, in order to get a similar deal to Carr and Jones.
Soooooo…..could they set the yardage/TD limits outrageously high that if the team stinks this season we’re not out cap next year, but if he actually hits those marks, we likely won the Owl?
Or artificially change the play calling to prevent him achieving those marks.
They could, but I don’t think he would sign an unattainable contract.
At 36 a new team is taking a big gamble on a 3 year fully guaranteed deal.
makes the most sense for the Vikings if anyone is going to offer something like that.
nothing to worry about now until March.
This is how terrible the media is in our age.
Headline#1:
Crews heard the noise every 30 minutes on Tuesday, according to an internal government memo
Headline#2:
It is unclear when the banging was heard Tuesday or for how long
The reality is this is a recovery mission, not a rescue. 2 miles down there is 5000 psi, things happen quickly when a structural component like say a window fail. ☠️
Not convinced that happened, yet.
They seem to be picking up banging noises.
Who knows where they are coming from though.
Yeah my guess that is likely air or compartments decompressing but I hope they are alive still. They have about 24 hrs or less left of o2 from what they said was there for emergencies.
Yup, I’m not too optimistic that they’ll be found alive.
I see some articles are claiming the banging is SOS, but I’m not seeing that filter out into the more mainstream sources yet.
Heard that on the radio this morning, too, but haven’t seen any corroboration.
.
.
That picture is offensive.
A gun? Really?
*(I posted the original to the media library)
Yeah, I thought that one came from you. It gets used frequently.
If you want to talk about Hunter and business dealings/grifting, you owe it to your judgement to read this entire thread below ……. Maybe Hunter is completely wrong. Point is, you’re not allowed to bitch about it and also ignore stuff like this. Set your standard and be honest.
😂
Imagine the DOJ issuing misdemeanor tax charges to a Trump kid.
👆Say you didn’t read the article without saying you didn’t read the article. 👆
.
Say that there isn’t a two tiered justice system and actually mean it when you say it.
Say that the US attorney that ruled on the charges in the Hunter case was a US attorney appointed by Trump and left in that position by Biden. 🤔
Maybe don’t believe things that McCarthy spews as fact.
I haven’t read or listened to one word of McCarthy.
But I like McCarthy.
That’s misleading. That US Attorney was suggested by the two Senators from Delaware which is customary and Trump agreed. Both of those senators are democrats.
Point is if there were charges requiring a stiffer sentence then he would have received that.
Are you sure about that. I;m no lawyer but wonder. Didn’t DOJ jack up penalties for false statements on gun permits under Eric holder that remain in place. And I believe the Democrats go ape over people getting guns illegally – it’s really big deal to them. So here we have a crack head, lies and gets a gun illegally, and then throws it away in a trash can next to a school. If this was Joe Blow, what do you think the Democratic establishment would be calling for?
PS Good luck with the golf on Kiawah – some great course, but tough.
Lifer Admit didn’t read the whole article but get your idea. But Am I to buy into the thinking that two wrongs make a right. Like if Biden does something wrong and gets called on, the response is well Trump did it too. Isn’t that just great.
That’s what children do.
Yeah both sides are corrupt in the sense they take full advantage of the middle class at the behest of the rich and powerful. Trump justifies it because he thinks saying in 2016 “It’s rigged”, which it is, gives him a pass to be the worst ever at grifting.
