It’s the last weekend before the beginning of real football. Anyone planning anything special? I actually forgot it was Labor Day until my son reminded me that he doesn’t have school on Monday. Paid days off was one good perk of working in an office. I still don’t miss it. I got caught up on my jobs yesterday, so I mowed my lawn in the middle of the day, then filled a bunch of water balloons and ambushed my son when he got out of school. We live right next to the school, so there were kids everywhere, and they joined in with my son and ganged up on me. I may have lost the battle, but I haven’t lost the war. Next time, I’m gonna climb up on the roof & bomb him from there.
Minnesota Vikings Discussion Topic of the Day
With football season rolling in, we’re begrudgingly moving from summer to fall and winter. Do your cooking habits change? If so, how?
I know for myself, I will cook a lot more in the crock pot in the winter. I love chili, but we rarely make it in the summer. I’ll still use the smoker & grill all winter, but my main change will be getting the crock pot back out.

Minnesota Vikings News:
Myles Gaskin is excited to go to work for the Vikings, according to TwinCities.com.
Vikings.com has an update on the terms of T.J. Hockenson’s contract.
Mike Evans and the Buccanneers are having trouble finding common ground on a contract extension, from CBS Sports.
Video of the Day:
No political undertones here. I actually have no clue what the hell this song is about.
Thread Guidelines
- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here. Just be civil and cool to one another.
Well getting some love is better than no love. It will be what it will be. Skol.
We’re about to see what we have this year. Sure hope it’s good.
This was a great commercial. Just seeing that tweet made me think of this.
I thought that was a brilliant commercial
FTE though
Jalen Nailor is a pretty fast receiver, basically the fastest one on the Vikings other than Lucky Jackson. I would love to see the Vikings start the season with a bomb to Nailor on the first play, running Jefferson underneath to draw the safety’s attention. Just send Nailor on a pure go route and have Cousins chuck it to him.
Not sure Cousins will have that kind of time after Vea picks Bradbury up and tosses him in to the backfield.
Watching the Cris Carter episode of ‘A Football Life’ – this might be an unpopular opinion but I think he had the best hands in NFL history, including Jerry Rice, and he made the sideline toe-drag an art form.
Probably right, also a yuge prima Donna
No lies told there. Fun to watch though. Only guy who’s 1000th catch was a tuddy…
I agree with the hands and the toe drag swag. I became less of a fan when I saw how he treated his teammates, Randy especially, and basically became a pain in the ass for anyone around him. It’s not surprising you don’t see any type of interactions with him and Randy post being teammates.
I know you are all wondering but my fantasy baseball team had a rough last 2 weeks and I fell out of 1st place all the way to 3rd place.
Playoffs are starting this week. I play the #6 seed. Should be an easy win.
Wander Franco has hurt me, my super stars are slumping at the worst time.
I’m holding on for dear life to the #2 seed. Expecting to be one and done regardless.
Good luck Gentlemen!
’Hey now… you’re an All-Star..’
RIP
I thought that was Rex Ryan for a second. They’re dropping like flys. Boomers living hard lives apparently.
Yup. Pretty sad. Guy basically drank himself to death.
I’m nearly the same age and feel like I have a solid 30 yrs left maybe more and by that time I’ll be completely tired of this world if not much sooner.
I’m 12 years younger and his age of death (if not sooner) was pretty realistic for me a few years ago. Different story now. I’ve no doubt changes I’ve made in the last 26 months have extended my life a great deal.
Yeah I’ve always stayed in great shape never overweight which is the biggest no no in my opinion but I quit drink any alcohol 3 yrs ago and let me tell you that is one life change I’m so thankful I made.
I had tickets to see the band at the Buffalo chip during the Sturgis rally when his son died and it got canceled, never did see them, RIP
Just got back from playing 9 holes. Wife and I are going to the Aquarium today when she gets back from yoga. I think playing yesterday was beneficial to my game, as I was pretty locked in from the start. Striped a 3 wood off the first tee, but still had 180 to the pin. Decided to hit a 7 wood vice a 6 iron as I normally do, and striped it too. Ended up about 5 yards in front of the green, chipped the ball to 5 feet, easy par. Bogeyed the par 5 second, parred the next two holes, and just played my normal game. Ended up with 4 pars and 5 bogeys for a 41. This was a pleasant round with three guys who were all good players. We all hit the ball well, and they all beat me. Grin.
Not nearly enough hero golf in your game. Boring and unsatisfying.
I know… I’ve settled in. A man’s got to know his limitations. “Going for it” on a shot I’ll pull off one out of five times means four times I’m hitting the ball into trouble and taking double or triple on a hole. I just keep everything in play, because I don’t warm up or practice. Just try and hit solid shots, and that’s it.
It isn’t exciting, but I rarely lose a ball, and the guys I play with don’t have to wait for me to find my ball, or while I take 6 strokes on a par 3.
I know I’m joking. That is the way to lower scores. Golf is the one sport where boring is a very very good thing.
When my dad got into his 70’s and was playing with his friends, I used to laugh because they would hit their drives, then hit a 9 iron, and count that as “one”. They hit their drivers about 175 and their 9 irons about 80 yards, so in total that would usually end up around 255 to 260 yards off the tee.
Now I hit a 3 wood about 175 or 180 off the tee, hit a 6 iron about 135, and end up about 300 down the fairway.
You can always make up for the yardage you lose over time off the tee from being proficient from 145 in and on the greens.
I like your example of your dad and his friends. Reminds me of my Mrs great uncle Gerald. Gerald was 85 when I met him back in 2005, former Navy man post WWII was your classic brawler, big drinker, bulldog arm tattoo rough and tumble guy but smart as a tack successful wealthy business man and scratch golfer who with his brother also had a golf course design business.
Coming from Michigan his father was a timber man, Gerald made his own custom putters from exotic woods and they were absolutely beautiful half rounded mallet style with inlays and designs. Guy was a man of the world.
So me being a younger mid 30’s guy dating his beautiful 5’10” blond DePaul track athlete niece said let’s go play a round of golf. So he, soon to be brother in laws all went to a course on Leelanau peninsula up on Lake Michigan on a cherry tree farm, course is absolutely amazing, long and challenging with elevation changes and all the cherry trees were in bloom, playing there in a few weeks by the way.
Gerald being 85 had the classic old man game, small wood about 150 off the tee dead straight and low would run out forever. Wood or Iron up to the edge of the green, chip up and the man putted better than probably anyone I’ve ever played with. I made the mistake of betting him $20, I averaged low 80’s at the time. I shot an 83 he from the white tees shot a 78, at 85 yrs old.
I’ll never forget witnessing that round of golf for as long as I live and Gerald is who I aspire to be at 85 should I live that long.
Great story. Thanks!
^^^^
I’d be ok with that, or really any of him or ewers or maye, maybe that Notre Dame kids or sanders kid
Good for Rudy. Could clock him with a sundial, but the hands were reliable. Plus he beat the dirty rotten Saints and that alone is enough for Ring of Honor for me.
He had a solid Vikings career
I agree. Great chain mover, good RedZone threat.
Thanks Rudy! Great career with the Vikes.
I can only remember one drop ever for his career but I receive it well, he was another of wRecks horrible extensions but I don’t blame him for that, solid career and great dude
I remember him dropping a perfect pass on a post or seem route Teddy’s first or second year.
Consummate professional. I do not recall one bit of controversy in his entire career.
There are some nice CFB quarterbacks no doubt but at the next level you can eliminate 90% of them. Might be 1 maybe 2 legitimate starters, few backs ups and the rest out of the league in 5 yrs. Who those are hard to say and I wouldn’t necessary go by the current rankings. I also would add I think some NFL teams (much like AZ is going to do with Murray holding him on the PUP all season) will position themselves and start planning now to take their guy.
AZ should tread lightly… they may be loosing their pick
*losing….. and they very well could. That franchise is a dumpster fire.
Spell checks are for the dumbs
*dums
LOL, well plaid.
There is no way they’ll take an NFL franchises 1st rd pick away for front office disciplinary reason. They’ll fine the living shit out of them but they will not take their 1st pick and certainly not the 1st overall pick. Never happen.
OH, ok. Ask the Dolphins if they had their 1st round pick this year.
I guess you’re right and I hate you. First time for everything. (not the hate that’s been going for awhile now)
Maybe Kwesi ain’t so crazy and thinks the Vikings QBOTF is in this draft
There’s a ton of QB talent in this years draft.
Williams
McCarthy
Maye
Ewers
Shadeur
Travis
and more I’m not listing
If KAM is looking QBOTF next year’s class is a solid start.
Sleeper Fantasy Draft Ppl:
draft is tonight. If you do not sign in 1 hour before draft you’ll be kicked out for the season.
CHL rec!
No way I’m going to be signed in 1 hour early, but I’ll be signed in by 6:30.
Why do I need to be signed in an hour before?
Sounds like more of Skolly trying to be dictator and ruler of all. He shall now be known as Skolin, or Skolden.
Skolin lol….
Skutin?
Nah, he’s a smart man who takes care of those around him.
Skump
Wife is ordering him around today, he feels the need for authority.
Micks finally on the doom train about the season.
Will the Vikings be 1-4 going into week 6 vs. the bears?
No.
Why not?
Cuz I said so.
I just have a different feeling about this team – I choose optimism considering the returning starters, KC’s 2nd year in a system and Flores new scheme breathing life into a woebegone defense. This is bold, and I’ve no reason to believe this, but I think we roll into Philly and beat them. We beat them and confidence skyrockets.
^^^ I’ve said this too.
im just wondering what it looks like facing a top 10 D from last year with 2 1k yard WR week 1.
SB loser week 2
Chargers would be a coin flip week 3
Panthers W week 4.
and SB champs week 5.
1-4 is as possible as 4-1, 5-0
Completely agree. KC game is in Minny – not that it matters as Dallas destroyed us there – but I feel better about it being at home. Also, if Jones remains a holdout that game could be a shootout – and we can win a shootout, even against Mahomes. (Did it last year in Buffalo)
Shootouts will be common this year.
i think it’s the only way we win.
Flo may improve the D but as of today, we don’t know what that talent is going to look like on the field in his system.
week 1 surprise.
This is true. I think B-Flo comes out aggressively week 1. Lots of pre-snap movement and exotic blitzes – hoping so at least. I crave aggression in our Defense after watching Donatell get shredded all of last year.
Buc 17 Vikings 31
ah. Yeah. We faced some real winners last year and got torched.
Goooooose Morning Skolbros!
Happy Labor Day – y’all work hard, enjoy today.
GAME WEEK IS HERE!
Skol!
Gm Fella
20-0.
Cowboys and RT Terence Steele reached agreement on a five-year, $86.8 million contract extension that includes $50 million guaranteed. Deal has a max upside of up to $91.8 million.
Pretty wild when you consider Steele is coming of an ACL injury in 2022. They really believe in this guys talent and they’re probably smart locking him up. OL talent is at a premium.
Watching the Eagles game in week 5 of 2018 on NFL+. One of my favorite games.
Forgot Dan Bailey missed a 28 yard chip shot field goal to start the game for the Vikings.
And Bailey missed a 45 yarder too.
forgot youre such a new vikes fan
Just skip the Chicago game that ends the season.
I assume the fine amount is based on an accountant doing a budget.
Like the NFL accountant said we need $1.3 million in fines and we have an average of 100 fines a year or something.
I just find it hard to believe some NFL rep came up with $13,889 as a fair number. Why not use $13,500 or some other round number?
This is a great pre-game speech….no wonder these kids came out ready to run through a wall for him.
It’s like a mix of Denzel from Remember the Titans and the redneck coach from water boy.
He went to strut at the end lol…a lot going on there.
I’d play my balls off for a guy like that. Those kids will too.
Decent day on the course today. Had three doubles which is a little rare for me. Didn’t hit the ball poorly though and had 5 pars. Missed an 8 footer on the third hole, a 160 yard par three over water with a big bunker in front. The bunker face is so tall you can’t see the actual green. Hit a perfect hybrid though and ended up close. Finished the round with a nice par on a dogleg left around a pond. Hit a nice 3 wood, then a nice seven wood onto the green. Two putt par. Didn’t kill or maim anyone in my group, so a successful day.
Could always be worse…
That’s good…it’s such a finite line between a glorious round and a meh I can do better round. The compounding effect of one bad shot can turn in to 3 bad shots. I have limited my doubles well lately, had only 2 last round but had a triple and 2 or 3 three putt bogeys when on GIR. That is frustrating. I had 7 pars two rounds ago to shoot a 88 and missed every birdie putt closely.
I was playing with two guys who absolutely crushed the ball. We were laughing on a 165 yard par three where I hit seven wood, and one of the guys was debating hitting 8 iron, or a “soft” 7 iron. I put all four cheeks into my 7 wood and got it there. I actually parred all of the par threes today, and all of them are over water with a lot of bunkers. I hit hybrid or seven wood on all the par threes.
Golf is still for fun Lifer. We laughed our ass off the whole day. Kidding each other on shots etc. I laid up so much they started calling me a Mets fan… I guess for coming up short.
Yeah I need to enjoy it more and quit trying so hard to score better. In the past when I do that I did not play well so I guess I don’t trust not trying really hard and being locked in. I play Tuesday morning I’m going to try it.
Speaking of 7 woods I love my Callaway 7 wood. It’s a 200 yard club for me and usually what I go with on 2nd shots after teeing off if out 185-200 yards. Also I have a Callaway epic star 9 wood much like a 7 wood but much more lofted. Typical 165-185 yard club. Lovely clubs I really really love them. Just rare back and blast them and they tend to go straight. The 9 wood goes really really high and lands soft as a babies bottom. Its a great club on shots where you need to hold the green.
Took a monster divot on hole #5 today. Back pain is bad enough that I left the course and will be taking a break from golfing. The game has been no fun for me lately anyways. Adding injury to insult makes taking time off easy.
Ouch.
Good luck.
Golfing with back pain is hard no.
Heal up.
Oh man that sucks Surly…sorry to hear that. Whatever that back injury is that you aggravated it’s likely the reason you’ve been playing poorly as of late. Taking a big divot should not injure your back so it’s probably been tight all along and even though you’re not thinking about it when you swing your body and subconscious will automatically protect it and not allow you to swing freely. Taking a break for a few weeks to let it heal is definitely in order.
yep. lower right side hurts, and I realize there is no way to properly follow through while those muscles are tight. Icy hot and stretching and rest….
I thought this was hilarious and clueless….
https://www.nbcsports.com/watch/nfl/profootballtalk/nfc-north-predictions-where-teams-will-finish
I say the Vikings are still the team to beat in the NFC North.
MN. 10-7
Det. 8-9
GB. 7-10
Chi. 7-10
I agree and I think your record predictions are about spot on. Lions might be closer to us by a game or two but we’ll sweep them for the tie breaker.
1-1
Yeah, but I think the Lions finished well. If they can avoid being the Lions for a couple more games I can see them winning.
I pick 9 wins for the Vikings.
I agree with some of the things they say. Kirk not working at all on Tues during the season is disappointing. Sure, take some time and spend it with family, but you can still watch film, workout, get in the playbook.
Some players want it more.
I was mostly thinking picking the Vikings to finish 4th and 3rd, while thinking the packers win it with Love as the QB is just hideous. Out of touch Packer bias.
Morning Skolholes. No luck yet, probably could have shot a bear yesterday, but the views aren’t too shabby.
Beautiful. So you shoot them with nerf guns and then you and the bear have a good laugh, exchange pen-pal info and go your separate ways right? …..Right Bow?….what’s the big knife for….?
Absolutely. We share a picnic basket too.
Here’s the view the other direction. Not much further to climb.
Do you see snow yet?
Not yet. It’s pretty warm. Usually get snow the first week of October.
It’s early for snow, but I didn’t know how high up you were going.
I’m only a little over 7000 feet. Camp is around 6000. If I want to get any higher here I’ll need climbing gear.
Enjoy yourself Bow…hurry up and get back so I can kick your ass in Fantasy!
Impending thunderstorms chased me out so I should be able to show you guys how to properly draft.
Good deal…safe travels back.
Lol… enjoy yourself. Great way to spend the last non-football Sunday of the year.
Bow season opens in Georgia next Saturday, it’s too damn hot and I have to work anyway.
Might go later in the month or early October
North Dakota Red Cross Volunteer is helping distr…:
Some damn fine people in ND.
One week to go!
Can’t imagine the outrage in Viking land if they lose to the Bucs and Baker Brofield.
Purple hopium is pretty high…..
Its not a slam dunk win at all.
Not even kind of. I feel good that we’re at home, but no drives in the preseason for the 1st team concerns me that the offense will come out flat. 2nd year in the system and I feel like losing Dalvin but adding Addison actually makes the offense better, hopefully more balanced and therefore more effective. Hoping Flores throws the kitchen sink at Mayfield early and often and aggression pays off. Jump on him early and force mistakes.
The first game is always tough to gauge, for the reasons you mentioned.
TB defense is pretty good. How long will it take for the Vikings offense to gel? I think missing Dalvin is huge from the play action perspective.
PA success will depend entirely on how effective Mattison is early running the ball, in particular between the tackles. Depending upon field position, if I were KOC I’d go PA deep shot right away. But that might be the Madden player in me and not the NFL play caller – which I’m not.
Are we doing Survival and Pickem things this year?
We’ll see if we can land the fantasy football plane first and go from there.
Pretty sure that is not happening. 6 people voted on draft time, and no money yet, with one day to go.
LOL….
Colorado fans now…
Great story!!
It is…Deion didn’t care about feelings when he walked in, cleaned house was brutal when doing it and backed it up with how he motivated and made the kids he brought with him believe. I called him a douche and I think he handled it in that way more than he had too but sometimes it calls for it when trying to breakthrough the establishment. He’s been at this plan for over 15 yrs, grooming these young athletes since they were 4 yrs old being there every step of the way like the Hunter kid and many others. They stuck with him and now they’re ready to execute.
They will get votes in the rankings this week.
I doubt top 25, but likely top 35.
I’d like to see them ranked but I think there’s going to be some power brokers pushing back on their program and their sudden relevance in college football. They’d have to go undefeated probably till the end and still wouldn’t crack the top 10. They’ll play 4 more currently ranked teams, Oregon, USC, Oregon St and Utah. So they’ll have more opportunities to prove their newfound success but most likely they’ll have some injuries, people will get some tape on what they do and they slide back to the mean. I hope they keep it going but that is a big ask through an entire season.
I actually clicked on the Video of the day. I now feel stupid because I have a Hanson song stuck in my head.
Beatles > Hanson kids
Lol…watch this shit….

This garbage happens now.
That garbage has been happening in our profit healthcare system for decades.
Oh…you mean the fact an elected leader is pointing it out lol…
I won’t criticize you it’s all you know so you don’t question it and when it comes to anything American you feel the need to defend it without any real understanding of how punitive and inefficient our healthcare system is. I’ve worked in it for 30 yrs, seen the holes people fall in and services cut to the bone for the poor and middle class in the name of profit for insurance companies and big Pharma.
That’s the fallacy of Americanized for profit medicine, it’s for profit the care comes second if at all and don’t waste your time telling me how much better and technologically advance our medicine is vs NHS systems. Simply not true and the point is our system could be so much better with our advancements but as we saw with covid, conservative fake patriots would rather die so their rich conservative masters can can keep promoting their ideological false doctrine to keep their generational wealth from their poor moronic followers. Trickle down is coming wait for it!
Wanna see a dead body? So glad football is back.
Found our future center. 54 for WVU all american Zach Frazier. Dude single handed beat the shit out of Penn States elite DL to get WVU in the EZ to tie it up 7-7. WVU has no business being in this game.
Saturday Evening Post….
take that, Norman Rockwell…
You buy those pre rolled on have a roller to do it yourself? Also what kind of rolling paper is that? Looks thin, so less harsh. Better than the old topps or joker papers we used back in the day.
Pre-rolls are kind of a rip off imo. Usually made up of about 1/2 bud and 1/2 trim/sift and they don’t do a good job of picking lumber out of it – even if it’s rare to find any in todays bud. I buy Zig Zag 1&1/4 inch cones – wife gave me a nice stainless steal machine cut grinder with my initials a few years ago. So I grind my own flower and pack my own joints – each box comes with a tamper. My favorite papers are an outfit called Blazy Susan – but I can only find them in CO.
And I’ve rolled joints out of all kinds of paper – I prefer the cones as they are more uniform. Back in the day I could lick my arm, lay the paper and roll a J just by using my palm – all in under a minute while driving.
Fun fact: if you’re traveling and need to smoke but don’t have paper – use the Bible (index pages or publishers pages, not the important stuff) rolls and burns nicely.
I’ve used zig zag papers many times also. Been a long time since I smoked a joint. If I get some flower first thing I’m doing is rolling a J and blazing away.
Zig Zags are great. I prefer the orange kings for hand rolling. Durable, thin and burn slow and even – even if you catch a runner.
I used to be a major stoner back in the day. Used Zig Zags all the time. I think it was an orange pack. I assume it would have changed over time, but maybe not.
Thinking back, I chuckle that pot was illegal, but paraphernalia shops were all the rage.
I think you and I have a lot more in common than we think we do.
I had a roller but I just felt using my fingers made a better joint. A couple of my friends would ask me to roll joints for them after they got their weed.
Talent.
lol…did the exact same thing…group of us get together, someone pulls out a bag, they say “give it to him he rolls the best” and I would roll a perfect J. I tried the roller also..I think one time and said, this is for people who can’t roll a joint. I can.
Same color – the kind I use for hand rolling.
Wow.
I think I used the white pack as well.
Anyone here playing the DN Yahoo FF this year?

SloterGOAT turned into WhinerGOAT.

yes, but what he says rings true.
He told no lies.
8 more days until you are blessed with his presence. And here’s yet another pic for a daily thread. All I do is give.
8 more days to re live 4th and 8.
Dude played offense and defense
Had a TD catch called back also.
Huskers vs Colorado next week gonna be fun. Big rivalry from back in day too
golfing was bad enough today, that I am ready for snow so I have a few months with no golf.
I’m still not over last winter, it was brutal.
I’m with ya. I was primed to shoot under 85 today. Everything was perfect, weather, course, equipment. Unfortunately I’m added to the equation. Started off ok 2 over through 3, doubled the 4th, tripled the 5th, bogey, par, bogey, doubled the 9th. 47 on the front. Pretty much blew any chance of breaking 85 would have to shoot a one over on the back and that’s not happening, quit keeping score and skipped a few holes coming in to get it over with. Always have to have a triple blow up hole it just never fucking fails and after that I check out and will continue to do so until I clean that shit and 3 putts up.
Not a great round on my end either today.
I literally went in to today uber confident, not nervous or wound up. As usual hit some unbelievable great shots, like a 200 yard 7 wood from 197 yards out over 60 foot high trees on a dogleg left on to the green. It was amazing. My wife was like, holy shit that was amazing. Putted great made some 20’ putts, made everything inside 10’ feet. Just had these stretches where 3 swings in a row were just complete shit, then back to swinging great for the next 5 or 6 holes. Don’t get it, I guess you just have to wait for that 1 in 100 rounds where you don’t do that for an entire round. I have no idea how people shoot in the low / mid 70’s regularly. No idea.
That said…I don’t usually do crazy 200 yard hero shots unless I know the club and its a safe shot where a miss is still advanced toward the green. I play conservative and lost one ball today. I’m trying to play measured tee to green golf. My bad swings are difficult lies and not being properly adjusted pre-swing.
Tee time tomorrow and Monday.
I literally do not want to go.
Maybe I will feel differently in the morning, but man. I hate that game today.
Golf is a one day it’s this, next day is completely different. If I have a bad round I can’t wait to get back to wipe that bad round out of my mind.
Now if you’re having rounds where just every hole is a bad shot blowing it up that gets old but if it’s a bad hole here or there that is just golf.
Massive upset by Colorado Buffalos over TCU 45-42. Primetime goes to Texas a 20 point dog and pulls the upset. His son an instant superstar breaking school records with over 500 yards passing. They had FOUR wr’s over 100 yards receiving. So impressed with Sanders Jr reading the defense and spreading the ball around to the open man. So impressed.
Insane. Deion is the real deal, hope to see his kid light up the NFL when it’s time.
Would it be premature to want Sanders jr as our next QB? 37/46 510 passing yards (school record 1st game), 4 tds.
works for me.
We’ll see how he progresses it is premature but damn what a opener on the road against the team that was in the national championship last year. Some players just have IT his daddy sure as hell did and he might have passed it on. Seems like a good grounded kid too, not a dummy.
I do not think it is premature. The guy had two solid seasons at Jackson State. I know this level is something else, but he can throw.
I still feel we have KirkoCHAINZ for three more years.
If he shows out the rest of this season, he might be worth a look when we pick in the 1st. I still think the best course of action is sign Kirk to 3 more yrs and draft a QB in the 1st to learn from him. A kid like Sanders Jr could be dynamic with 3 yrs of just repping and learning.
That makes too much sense to ever happen for the Vikings.
Guys…Deions kid at QB is legit talented…he is tossing dimes all over the place and has a cannon of an arm. Wow.
Colorado is good..Hunter kid just caught a huge 35 yard 3rd down conversion contested it was impressive. Then Sanders jr tosses a rope to a wide open Jimmy Horn jr..yup that horn from the Saints.
I might start changing my own oil again. Oil change places are getting on my nerves.
Man I wouldn’t let those jack legs touch my vehicles. They hire kids who don’t know shit from shoe polish. They over tighten shit, cross thread shit, don’t get filters on tight, just fucking idiots. Once 20 yrs ago I had I think Jiffy lube in Grand Rapids change my oil in my Jetta. Next morning on the way to Detroit my oil light comes on, fuck heads didn’t get the filter on tight, oil all over the damn car, limped to a service station off the highway and they fixed it and filled it with oil. I fucking bitched the manager out and called their corporate office. Never again.
Oh shit, that would piss me off, too. One place in town didn’t put the dipstick back in tight & got oil on the inside of my hood & on my motor. I was able to get it cleaned up, but it wasn’t fun.
People don’t care today, its not their car. Getting paid poverty wages doing shit work why would they. Rare to find a shop you can trust, definitely not a chain.
I have a great mechanic. I stopped doing my own oil changes, mainly due to not having the time, but like you said, it doesn’t get done worth a damn.
I dunno, though. They’re paying $17 or $18 an hour at McDonalds up here. It’s insane.
Get one of those Fumoto drain plugs and use Liqui Moly oil. I can change my oil literally in 15 minutes. No drain plug, flip the switch oil drains out. Liqui Moly is once every 15k and when you drain it out it’s still amber but I change it anyway even tho it could last longer. It’s less time than driving to the oil change place and better for your engine.
Everyone listen to the song up top? Songs don’t get much deeper than that. The Beatles wouldn’t have been anything if it weren’t for Hanson.
I almost chagned it to a jimmy buffet song..
you probably should.
Lol

Will be the next VIkings QB.
I wouldn’t hate it. He had the Brady look and I’ll take that chance every time even if he ends up sucking.
Just gives us more to bitch about.
Hotter than hades til Wednesday in Minny. Shutting windows in summer is getting old.
Here too. 96 today and tomorrow, 90 on Monday, then a high of 66 and rain on Tuesday, lows dipping into the 40s. Gotta love ND. If you don’t like the weather, just wait a few minutes, it’ll change.
So odd…was 58 at sunrise this morning, so cool sunny just absolutely perfect. High today of 82, this place is perfect.
Buffalos have a player, Hunter, who’s playing both ways ala Deion, CB and WR. He just caught a TD was called back and on defense he is their #1 shut down corner going against TCU’s best WR solo. Dude is impressive.
Top overall recruit to Jackson State last year, followed Deion to CU along with his son Shadeur. He’s the real deal.
I helped build the Walter Payton Health & Rec Center at Jackson State. Got to say hi to Walter Payton’s brother, he had his daughter with him, finer than frog hair.
In case you need it…
