You guys will have to make do without me tomorrow, as I’m playing in a big Charity golf tournament. Gotta head out about 6:30 a.m. I have been playing pretty good golf (for me) lately, so I think I can probably contribute a few shots.

I may need to buy a new calendar. My current one is a traditional style that has the days all in order. I need one that picks days at random, then maybe I will be able to be like the Skolohics calendar.

Bill Maher dropped a reality bomb on Zohram Mamdani voters with a brutal history lesson on socialism.
“We’ve run this experiment many times, and the results are always obvious,” Maher said.
He looked straight into the camera and delivered a blunt warning about Mamdani.
“Democrats must recognize that Zohran Mamdani is the future of the party. Unfortunately, it’s the Republican Party.”
“Here’s capitalist South Korea at night from space,” Maher presented, showing a country lit up and thriving.
“Here’s socialist North Korea,” he followed, with the map pitch dark.
“Yeah. In 1990, Venezuela was wealthier than Poland. But then Poland, finally free of Soviet style economics, went all in on capitalism and now their economy is as big as Japan and people there have high wages, low inflation, cars, vacations, and homes.”
“Meanwhile, Venezuela traded capitalism for Hugo Chavez’s socialism for the 21st century, which turned out to be like socialism in the last century or any century, a f*cking mess.”
“It turned one of Latin America’s richest countries into one of its poorest. Low wages, high inflation, shortages, outages, 8 million people fleeing. If you think New York can somehow reinvent this wheel, you’re in for a rude awakening.”
Maher is still a die hard liberal and Democrat at heart, but he sees reality.
The Woke/Libs/Dims are to stupid and consumed by TDS to learn lessons like that.
Oh well, NYC/Seattle will get the government that they voted for. Not like it is all that far from the stinking pile of garbage that they already had in office.
I agree. The problem is our higher education system has been preaching Marxism for decades now. There are a lot of people sold on Socialism.
Given the sh*thole that blue cities are it is small wonder that the people want something different. They are just picking the wrong ‘something’.
Same thing in Commifornia, crap government, but since we couldn’t change it we moved out. Sad since my family has been there since 1782 but it is what it is.
It is very sad that liberals who are just emotionally charged activists, convinced so many people they were capable of Governing prudently, pragmatically, and practically.
He does see reality. He’s a no nonsense moderate democrat. I love his show and have actually been watching him since his politically incorrect days. I’ve seen him live once, he’s pretty funny also. It’s too bad that his show is on HBO though, because more people need to hear what this guy says.

That is a dying breed. The radicals have pushed most of those out of the party and pretty much silenced the rest.
Maher and Fetterman seem to be the only two left that say anything.
I’m not so sure it’s a dying breed. They just need to be more vocal and start pushing back against the radicals that seem to have a louder voice.
‘A louder voice’, more money, more momentum, plus the leadership running scared of them and so do whatever they want them to do.
Yes, it is very good…even better when you watch it.
I watch Maher every week – his take is spot on. He gets condemned by the left because he refuses to demonize the right. He, like the late Charlie Kirk, fosters the idea of debate and opposing thought without violent repercussions for having the audacity to disagree or even ask fucking questions.
He has the audacity to question their woke ideologies.

Good Saturday morning all. Beautiful day here in Tampa. Texas A&M takes on South Carolina at noon Eastern today. The wife just took her car to the carwash. Made me eggs, sausage and toast for breakfast. I’m on my second cup of coffee. It’s gonna be a good day.

What’s the scam?
No matter what time is chosen, a large group of people will be upset about it.
That’s why DST was created in the first place.
I figure if some group ‘Needs It’ then they should have priority over people who don’t like the inconvenience of it.
I don’t know if such a group exists but for me it is just inconvenient.
It really has no impact on me one way or the other.
I can take a nap whenever.
The reasons behind why it even exists are the scam.
I think the “saves energy” reason is a scam.
All you are doing is shifting energy use around.
I was always told by teachers that it benefits farmers.
This is back in the 60’s & 70’s, so I respect the thought.
Farmers aren’t going to be out in the field at 3:30 am in the summer when it starts getting light in the northern US. DST allows farmers work until 9:30 or 10pm.
Not sure that’s valid. But I can believe that reasoning.
