Josh Jacobs, FTP RB was arrested for a number of crimes, mostly assault including felonies. I’m Guessing he’ll get suspended at some point, but its the FTP so who knows

I see Canada is buying four of those Saab GlobalEyes instead of the US option, whatever the latter is called these days. Apparently there doesn’t need to be a crew in the back, the AEW crew can be ground based. Talk about WFH options.
Regarding Claude Lemieux, CTE, Depression….
Could’ve been a bit of everything. You never know what a man is thinking. What kind of pain they might be in.
I posted last week about hard work and working for farmers. One of those farmers was a local guy named Dave. Dave had a degree in auto mechanics, ran the family farm (where I worked), and was a master electrician. Married for over 50 years. Great kids. Grandkids. Money. Community status. And a legendary gunsmith with a gun room that would make any man jealous.
And last week he took his own life.
He was 79 years old. Seemingly good health. Zero debt. Toys. Friends. Regular on the stools at both the Elks and Eagles clubs.
you just never know.
Re: Claude Lemieux. Guy was a notoriously dirty scab. Got two games for that dirty assed hit on Draper from behind, that shattered Draper’s face. I shed no tears for that guy, goodness knows I wished him ill when he played the Oilers.
Re: Dave. Sorry to hear that. PS are they auctioning the guns?
I agree, he was a dirty player, I do not wish him dead but don’t really feel anything about it.
Agreed, you seldom know why?
My point is I don’t understand taking your own like unless you have a terminal/painful illness.
My Grandma (Nana) stopped taking her meds when she was 99 saying she was tired and just wanted to go see her husband (Papa) and the rest of her family. I wished I was closer and could spend more time with her to change her mind, she was a treasure.
I have no doubt that it is my shortcoming that don’t get it. I see commercials all of the time for chemicals that ‘help’ with depression, seems like a scam to me.
Saw a post on Bookface last night, “Pre-season QB competition – who are you voting for?”
Seriously, we the public have seen what – 2 throws from each QB, and you want us to make a decision right now??????
Yup.
thats how it works.
decide. NOW. And don’t be RONG!
and you can’t ever, ever change your mind.
(My dark horse to steal the gig out of nowhere is Ponder)
All theatre.
Do you think if KOC had all that much confidence in JJ Murray would even be here.
Yes, Murray will make a good back up or trade option.
Well best outcome would be for JJ (QB) to win the job.
He is the younger, cheaper option for going forward.
So I can ‘vote’ for him even if I don’t expect it to happen.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. – Grogu
‘Man who stand on toilet is high on pot…’
An old, but still a good concept.
French philosopher, Rene Descartes (1596–1650) wrote that if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
Yore rong. It was Neil Peart
Also Rush (song Freewill)
These OTA’s are little more than glorified walkthroughs. Half speed, no pads, no hitting, just pitch and catch. Trying to say who is better at this point is folly.
Merry Friday (even though it is on a Wed Thread).
FTP BTW.
Guess we need to give the Admins a raise.
Heck, double their salary I don’t even mind.
#grin
They can deduct it from my skoloholics paycheck, if they need to.
They can even double my Skoloholics Subscribion Fee if needed.
Too fat.
Ok five

Great dog! 🐕
Looks just like my dog.
So true. My choco is a neutered male but as I am WFH ATM he is laid out curled around my feet, just waiting for me to take him on adventures.
Makes sense because of the week 1 game in Australia shortens the time those teams can make roster adjustments.
That would be a heck of a flight. The flights too and from Korea were bad enough, especially flighing military.
I read that the 9ers and Rams are planning to go to Australia about a week early to get acclimated.
Did Osan once… that was enough for me.
I took a novel to read on the way (Too Hell and Back Again) once I finished it I still had several hours of flight left.
Yep… I was OK with the trans Atlantic flights to Europe, but flying to Korea and Australia sucked.
Europe from the East Coast is pretty easy. But going to the Far East is really tough.
“Wine me, Dine me, SKIVVY 9 me!”
I remember many years ago in the army taking a short couple hour flight to drive back some CUCVs from another base, my best friend and I were the only two going, at some point I fell asleep and when I woke up he was also asleep with his head on my chest, to this day it’s still the best nap I’ve ever had.
No Kink Shaming of course.
This sounds like an episode of a sitcom…hmmm…
Claude Lemieux dead at 60
RIP
Wow… RIP
Suicide ☹️
Rich, successful, hero to many, I just don’t get it.
SPECULATION HERE
He may have had depression, substance abuse or CTE.
CTE I guess,
Substance Abuse is self inflicted.
Depression, what did he have to be depressed about??
Very random but also quite possible due to his physical playing style.
Many folks get addicted WAY easier than others…genetics plays a bit part.
Depression can’t see people’s bank accounts.
Depression doesn’t discriminate especially bipolar disorder, many successful people have suffered from severe depression.
I briefly saw he had died, did not know it was suicide. Sad.
This is the norm for rookies in the NFL. For some reason most fans and pundits completely ignore this reality.
He had his moments where he shined too. Would LOVE to have a top half of the league O line in pass and run blocking at least. And improve from there. Top 10 would be a dream.
We need to have a Skoloholic OTA where we can critique how everyone makes a comment. Not critique the actual comment, just how they make a comment. That would be fun.
Seems to be happening quite naturally.
What would our categories be? Instead of “Shuttle Drill” We have “Sites Sources” , Instead of “2 minute drill” we have “Level of Opinion vs Quantifiable data”? Etc. That kinda thing?
Those are good. I’m sure we could come up with a lot of categories.
Categories like: Best use of humor, best self-righteous indignation, best flippancy.
I really don’t care
Ben gets one point.
I would have given him all 3.
You could have done a better job with your comment. You sound like a headless chicken
Excellent start! You illiterate baboon.
I heard that.
I felt it!

They should pull you aside and work on your typing fundamentals. No way you should be commenting with the 1s.

The theme of OTA.
Boy QB competitions are sure exciting.
Was over at the DN looking thru a JJ/Murray thread. The mental gymnastics folks go thru to support their particular position is really quite amazing.
‘The mental gymnastics folks go thru to support their particular position is really quite amazing.’
@Good thing that never happens here.@
Yep, have noticed that too.
I was not pointing to you in particular but I certainly was not ruling you out either.
No, no, no. He is just the one that points out how everybody else is wrong and twisted.
‘everybody else is wrong and twisted’
Easy to do as according to him ‘everybody else is wrong and twisted’.
Murray hits an out pattern to a receiver with zero pass rush.
Superbowl here we come !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess ‘blah’ clips/news is better than no clips/news??
Still nice to see a QB throw a catchable ball.
One step at a time grasshopper.
On the other hand, I could do that right now, at 71 years old, and I’m not kidding.
Guess they should have signed you last year.
Laughing. I throw a mean 10 yard pass!
How do you feel about adding in the pass rush though
Yeah, that’s not gonna work out so well… grin.
Actually a spot on comment IMO. This is OTA’s. The team is just doing glorified walk throughs now. If he can’t hit that throw, God help us. That’s just playing catch at this point.
One takeaway is 89 is an undrafted free agent, so Murray is not throwing with the 1st string, maybe.
I think that’s what I saw online. McCarthy started with the one’s yesterday, but Murray also had some sets with them.
i totally forgot we somehow got Jujujujuan Jennings to sign here.
that’s sweet. too bad he will either have a midget or NINE throwing to him
The midget is pretty good throwing the ball. Statistically his on-target throw rate is way better than McCarthy’s. So, just looking at his throwing stats, it looks like Murray is a significant step up from McCarthy.
With their collective injury history…
My wife is a nine…I’m very happy.
Yore mom is a ten, at least she was last night.
It’s so quiet, I had to see if GF hid a new Thursday post.
He does have ‘Priors’.
Seems like a lot of Tea Reading and Wishful Thinking going on with JJ’s (QB) ‘Coaches job to teach us’ comment. Not sure I buy into it, not my (tea) bag.
https://thevikingage.com/jj-mccarthy-latest-minnesota-vikings-moment-impossible-ignore
The ‘drama’ will continue until KOC names a starter.
He hasn’t “named a starter” before game 1 ever.
Princess Bride Auto Rec.
People are taking sides, and any rational view is being attacked as “hate speech” against McCarthy. He really showed a lack of team spirit here IMO though. “He sits on one side of the room, I sit on the other” really pushes a bad message to me. This establishes a QB room that is segregated now. It’s the McCarthy side vs the Murray side. You think KOC wants that? I doubt it.
‘People are taking sides, and any rational view is being attacked as “hate speech” against McCarthy.’
Good job justifying your own bias.
I’m simply telling you what’s going on. Folks are being over the top angry at people saying that was really bad look for a guy who wants to be the team leader. That’s not “hate speech” in any way.
Orrrrr, he is trying to avoid any controversy and calling it like it is.
Avoid controversy by telling the media you sit on one side of the QB room, and Murray sits on the other, and it’s the coaches job to teach them? Yeah, if that was his idea of not creating controversy I’d hate to see him when he doesn’t care about creating controversy. He completely failed at that here.
What’s he supposed to do after practicing with the guy for one whole day? Kiss his ass and call him God’s gift to football?
Bow, that’s a bad take here. The simple answer he could have replied with should have been something that shows he’s a team guy, but is still a competitive guy.
“We have a really good group in our QB room, and I can tell you all of us want to be the starter. I’m working to win that competition, but we’re just here in OTA’s so not gonna win the job today.”
If you were to read the full interview, he did say something to that affect, but the reporter kept pressing him.
Then you just say “There really isn’t anything else to say about this.”
Leaked home footage of JJ upon learning that Murray was signed…….
Funny use of GIF.
Rec for you.
Even funnier that the kid in the gif is actually the same height as Murray.
And the kid has hair just like JJ.
It’s Thursday right?
OK, 100 comments for the day is a good thing.
Aside from the RB spot, which I think is underwhelming, it’s hard to disagree.
Should have quality offensive line play. Should. It’s hard to beat the trio of Jets/Addison/3rd and Juan
Need something out of Hock – and he likely gets the chance to rejuvenate his career. Kyler loved throwing to the TE in Arizona.
Well since we don’t use the RBs all that often.
Maybe with our new FB blocking for Mason we can get a little short yardage success.
As an old school football guy, I have loved the fact that the Vikings have had a FB on the roster continuously.
Same.
As a Nebraska football fan the FB was a huge part of the option offense we ran for years.
My favorite fullback of all time, Tom Rathman, is from Grand Island, Nebraska.
I also loved Mike Alstott and Lorenzo Neal.
I had an interlude at MacDill AFB golf course with Mike Alstott at the Super Bowl golf tournament many years ago (Giants vs Ravens in Tampa Jan 2001). On the first hole we had it set up as military themed hole. On the tee box I was there shouting orders etc. We had a small tree about 10 yards off the tee box and I was telling everyone if they didn’t hit their ball past that tree, they were gonna drop and give me 20. Stuff like that. As the day wore on the crowd around the first tee grew and grew, and I kept the act going pretty good. Alstott came to the tee box with his group, and there was an open air tent there where they had water and snacks for the players. Alstott wandered over there and got on his cell phone while I went through my schtick. Eventually it was time for them to tee off, and Alstott was still standing in the tent on his phone, holding everyone up. Soooo… I went into the tent and gave him a good what for, and ordered him to the tee box. I was loud… and he wasn’t real happy about it, but he got off his phone and walked onto the tee, and hit his shot. I yelled something like “now get your ass in gear Alstott and stop holding the whole GD tournament up”. He sort of stormed off the tee, but the crowd loved it and started cheering. Rush Limbaugh’s group was next, and he walked up and said “Nice job”.
A great blocking TE ala Donnie Warren will do even better than a FB.
Hey NLNV – shot an 84 yesterday (44-40) – that is really solid work for me. Golf is fun when the swing is working.
Hey NoDak, that’s a really good round for anybody. Nice! That back nine 40 is especially good. Golf is definitely more fun when your swing is working. Shooting a 40 means your chipping and putting were probably pretty good too.
Yes, short game was pretty decent – but I hit a lot of greens so that helps a lot as well.
Greens in regulation is probably the weakest part of my game, because I’m usually trying to hit them from 170 yards out or more. I’m just distance challenged, and that’s a fact of life. Nothing I can do about it. I certainly can play the Senior tees if I want, but I’m fine playing the Whites. Definitely can’t reach any par 4 over 365 in two anymore without nailing a three wood or five wood approach shot. Some of the courses I play don’t even have a par 4 under 365, so it is what it is.
Want to score well, be a great putter.
This is true.
Man, when I hit 70 I am moving up to the senior tee’s for sure. I am not too proud. I hit my driver well yesterday, with roll out I was getting 230-235 ish. Not good enough to get to any par fives in 2, but can for sure reach any par 4s.
Well I’m 75 and shoot better from farther back than the Senior tees. Reason, I’m a better hybrid and fairway player than iron player.
Also, think designers are pretty smart. They place bunkers strategically. For example, from tips, to regular to senior and ladies, a bunker will be out there where the “average’ for that group can reach it. Plating farther back sort of helps eliminate that.
They also place bunkers and water hazards around the greens you need to fly, and land softly, so coming in with a longer club isn’t ideal. I lay up short of bunkers and pitch the ball over them. I’ve never been a very good bunker player. A man’s got to know his limitations.
Playing to the safe part of the green is always a solid strategy.
I don’t think there’s a course I play around here that doesn’t have water in play around the greens on almost every hole, and many greens surrounded by water. Safe side is ten yards short a lot of the time.
We surely have our share of water and sand. But usually, there’s always a safe side of the green to play to.
That certainly makes sense, but we must have had some course architects around here who thought they were Pete Dye or something.
Translation:
’I’m going to use my low center of gravity to dry-gulch this kid into a locker….’
Laughing…
I bet McCarthy shoots spitballs at Kyler…..
Laughing… sounds like it. Seems like a very immature response to me. Just my opinion.
Sounds like an honest response. Just because it isn’t politician speak doesn’t mean it is immature.
How can Murray say he is helping teach JJ and JJ thinks he is just another guy in the room? Seems to me like JJ was honest and said, well, we haven’t really done anything so yeah, he’s here and Murray is pulling the same political schtick as every veteran QB ever.
‘he is helping teach JJ’
A good example can be a powerful teaching tool.
Although I am not sure Murray is capable of that given his reported habits vis a vis the playbook.
I agree. Just seems like an honest response.
I would hate to have everyone over analyze my every comment.
They’re in OTA’s and the media and fans are analyzing every throw.
I know. I’m glad no one does that to me. Especially my throwing of a ball.
And every word they say for no reason.
Take it with a grain of salt…
Man that sure is a great ‘trot.’
Epic even.
@he put on the wrong color jersey@
No charges have been filed against Josh Jacobs.
‘Lawyers Statement’?
@There might be some unbiased truth in that.@
OJ didn’t do it either…
My post from this morning.
Hence, no charges will be sought….
Did that Puker tight end (Chimichanga-something) ever get time for f-ing an underage girl?
QB room:
QB1 – JJ McCarthy
QB2 – Kyler Murray
QB3 – Max Brosmer
QB cut – Carson Wentz
I still think JJMac beats Murray for the top spot and we can stash Brosmer on the practice squad.
Option 2:
QB1 – JJ McCarthy
QB2 – Carson Wentz
QB3 – Max Brosmer
QB Traded – Kyler Murray
If JJ is showing that he is truly the QB1 we may trade Murray for a bag of balls and keep Wentz.
Option 3:
QB1 – Kyler Murray
QB2 – Carson Wentz
QB3 – Max Brosmer
QB Traded – JJ McCarthy
If JJ isn’t the guy, we might as well get a bag of balls or an extra kicking tee for him.
None of the above.
QB1 Murray
QB2 Wentz
QB3 Brosmer
IR – McCarthy.
What if Wentz beats them all out?
I have this same sense. I wouldn’t count him out.
Than we might as well not show up and settle for the #1 pick in next years draft.
Then the tank-job is on.
Trading McCarthy requires someone to want him. Who wants a project QB that is the worst passer in the NFL? I seriously doubt the phone is ringing off the hook for a trade.
The QB ranking will boil down to who can run the offense the best against NFL defenses. I have some concerns about Murray for sure, but less than I do about McCarthy.
We’ll see where it goes from here.
Option 4:
IR – Murray
IR – McPonder
IR – Wentz
Cut – Brosmer
QB1 – idk
Option 5:
QB1 – The Goat
QB-2,3 – Not needed…
sarc
I’m pretty sure we are not keeping JJ Murray and Wentz. One of them will not be on the team at the start of the season. Unless you think we can get JJ to the practice squad without him getting poached.
Wentz will be back in ND in time for hunting season.
I can see three QBs.
Especially since all of them a history of injuries recently.
I hope JJ wins the job and if that is the case, Murray will be QB2. If for nothing else, somebody will sign him next year for enough that the Vikings end up with a comp pick for it.
Wildcat!!!!!
I hope he does also.
But I doubt he will, due to politics.
Figure he will get his chance during the season due to a The Might Mouse injury and hope he seizes it and never gives it back.
More likely is he will get his chance, get injured in turn and then it will be Wentz’s turn to be ‘next man up.
With luck by the time Wentz gets hurt one of the other two will be healthy. Otherwise it is Brosmer off the practice squad.
Murray is still just a vet on a minimum contract. I was thinking about it this morning and I would have to think a tie would go to JJ. He’s younger and cheaper. If he is on the same level as Murray, that shows improvement and an upward trajectory. For the most part, Murray is a known quantity who has shown either a plateau, if not a decline in production. There is still a reason Arizona is taking a larger salary cap hit than the Vikings for him this year.
This is what I have been saying for weeks. I believe at the start of the season either Murray or Wentz will be gone. Preferably Wentz will be gone.
Murray has more long term value than Wentz. He’ll get a new contract next year, even if he doesn’t set foot on the field and therefore the Vikings would get a comp pick. Wentz will not be playing football after August.
‘Murray or Wentz will be gone’
I don’t see it.
3 QBs with injury concerns, getting rid of one them just sounds like Doom, a practice squad QB playing significant snaps for us. We have seen enough of that the last few years.
Are we going to keep 3 QBs on the 53 man roster? I don’t think we will, we will keep 2 on the 53 and one on the practice squad. Since Murray and Wentz are not eligible for the practice squad, that would leave JJ to be QB3 and try to sneak him onto the practice squad without him getting poached.
‘Are we going to keep 3 QBs on the 53 man roster?’
Why not??
With the recent Practice Squad rule changes it is much easier to move a 4th TE or 6th OL back and forth for a game as needed.
Cut Wentz after camp then bring him back after week 1 so his contract is not guaranteed for the whole season.
I wouldn’t bother bringing him back unless we absolutely have to.
Wentz could very well be a better option then JJ (QB) or even The Midget. And when we ‘absolutely have to’ resign him there is no guarantee that some other QB needy signed him first due to injury.
Considering nobody signed him all the way through training camp last year, I think they have a pretty good chance of him being available.
‘I think they have a pretty good chance of him being available’
Still a risk.
Given our recent QB injury history one I think it is not worth us taking.
If they get to the point of having to pull him in as the 3rd QB, is it really going to matter anyway?
So which Oline or Dline do we cut to keep 3 QBs and a 4th on the practice squad?
We haven’t in the past, besides if you let Wentz go he will be sitting there waiting to play if needed.
‘We haven’t in the past’
So we should not do a thing that makes sense because we have never done that thing???
Have we been in this exact situation before?? Have the Practice Squad been so lax before that make it easier for us to do that????
You’re right, we should lock up a 53 man roster spot for a guy that will only see the field if both of the other 2 QBs get injured in the same game. Instead of having a guy that can come in and fill in for the rest of the game that does not count against the 53 man roster.
There’s actually an NFL rule now that allows teams to have a 3rd “emergency” QB on the roster on game day now. This rule sprung from when the 49ers were forced to play Purdy in the NFC championship game while he dealt with a torn ligament in his throwing elbow.
The 49ers stood no chance against the Eagles with Purdy and Josh Johnson out. That led many fans to bemoan the great matchup that could have been, becoming a 31-7 romp during which San Francisco couldn’t throw the ball.
This is true but you have that emergency QB on the practice squad not on the 53 man roster. Do you think JJMac will be able to be placed on the practice squad without getting poached. I don’t, which means if we keep Wentz, Murray and JJMac they will all need to be on the 53 man roster. If they are on the 53 man roster that means we have to have 1 less player on the 53 man.
If we keep 2 of the 3 and Brosmer, Brosmer can be on the practice squad and be the emergency QB.
I wanted to copy my Wisconsin comment I posted earlier this morning on the old thread but I’m not technically inclined apparently.
Wisconsin:
Chris Farley
Orson Welles
JJ Watt
Danica Patrick
Frank Lloyd Wright
Georgia O’Keeffe
August Derleth
Clifford D Simak
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Charles and John Ringling
and some of you will really recognize these names:
Valentin Blatz
Frederick Pabst
Joseph Schlitz
That’s a great list. RIP Chris Farley.
Interesting note on Valentin Blatz – Bavarian by birth but immigrated to Milwaukee in 1849 – but he died in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1894.
It’s believed his last words were: ‘45 years in that dump is enough, I’d rather die than go back….’
Thanks Jackson. I was on my phone at work and just couldn’t get it done.
Three of the worst beers ever brewed

Na, that was his post back to me saying I didn’t really get it (which I later answered). Think VP answered with some good folks from WI.
I’m all over busting on Packer’s fans, but I’ve actually lived in Wisconsin over twice as long as I lived in MN. There are some great people here in WI (as long as they don’t talk about the Packers). And while politics suck everywhere, WI is much better than MN in that arena.
I totally agree…

I can’t get into to any shop without an appointment.
No quick jobs where I live.
Youtube and O’Reilly. I also have the benefit of some pretty skilled coworkers and friends, but that’s beside the point.
I can do a few things on my own.
But I emphasize a few…
Yeah, there is a limit. The friends I have been blessed with have been helpful.
Was lucky – made the appointment this morning at 830. Got in @ 1130. Out by 1.
Stabilizer brackets on my camper broke. I just happened to notice it a couple weeks ago. Went to take one off to go to the parts store this weekend and noticed a crack in the frame. Upon further inspection, the frame is cracked on both sides.
Just ignore it and it’s not broke.
That should work fine. What could possibly go wrong with broken suspension and a double broken frame on a 10,000 lb camper?
That sounds pricey.
5th wheel? Pull behind?
Bumper pull toy hauler. I got the parts for the suspension for like 14 bucks. I just need to decide if I want to put new springs in since I’ll be working on it. I’ve got a buddy that said he’ll be able to weld the frame for me so that shouldn’t be too bad.
All these talks about draft picks with injuries, QB1 vs QB2… All I am concerned with at this moment is, is Darrisaw a full go?
I heard he has an air cast on and is sitting in a lawn chair sipping some lemonade with a little Kettle One in it.
Anyone good at reading lips? Cover up the words and try and figure out what he’s saying…….
Love the trolling….
“What you do screams so loudly that I cannot hear a word you are saying.”
Emerson
I worked with a very fine lady who once offered this advice to me – ‘Believe 10 % of what you hear and 90% of what you see.
That is another good one.
I believe very little of what I hear unless it is backed up by what I see.
With AI you can’t always believe that eithor.
Then there’s always rule two – ‘If it looks too good to be true, it probably isn’t.’
According to my siblings, my grandpa would say don’t believe anything you read and only half of what you see.
Pretty wise words from Grandpa.
Now maybe it’s just the times with all the information sources, but seems there are fewer people with just plain common sense.
It’s what Dov does…nothing of substance ever.
NHL – Central Division was swept to the side for the fourth straight year by a Pacific Division team. What’s up with that?
That was a shocking result. I thought the Avs had the best team this year, by far. But, like the old saying goes, “That’s why they play the games.”
the wild played them so good, the avs didn’t have anything left…..
Just like the Stars did to us.
All part of Gary “The Penguin” Bettman’s plan!
Nothing will happen to Josh Jacobs.
The local police and prosecutors are shareholders.
The land of Jeffery Dahmer and their fans likely hold his arrest as a badge of honor.
He’s headed to the puker hall of fame soon.
i came here for updates from the OTA’s….
do i actually have to do work to find them? Come on guys.
Bad placement by Murray, cut him.
Look at yesterday’s thread. NVF posted a few.
Why’s he got a plastic forehead?
Magic???
Orange man bad.
Cause the real Joe Biden died years ago.
I’ve seen these reports but I have to say, they don’t make sense. If they replaced Biden with a stand-in as claimed, why would they replace him with somebody so physically frail and mentally challenged?
To make everything make the falls make sense. I don’t think he was actually dead, but I do think he was replaced a few times. His walk and face changed too much too many times. I think most of the verbal gaffs were real and then they would replace him for photo ops and drug him up for certain appearances.
Because they are trying to fool the public? If it were me, I would find someone that was as dumb and frail, or at least someone who could act that dumb and frail.
Wednesday is a great day for a lengthy, boring Zoom call!
Way better than a Friday afternoon, that’s for sure.
Worked in an organization once upon a time that had a 1 p.m. staff meeting with the Director every Friday. It was a meeting to set things up for the weekend regarding operations going on around the world. This was the policy of every Director for many years of this organization. A new Director came in and told everyone he didn’t do Monday or Friday meetings. Folks were thrilled. Over time though the Director realized that having the Friday meeting was needed for a 24/7 global operations organization. Eventually he went back to the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday meeting schedule, and we often spoke on Saturdays and Sundays. When he retired he told me it was the hardest place he’d ever worked.
