Minnesota Vikings News:
We took a look at some upcoming Vikings decisions:
Where Do We Go From Here?: Eric Kendricks.
Where Do We Go From Here?: Adam Thielen.
At NFL.com, they look at Kevin O’Connell’s non-committal to DC Ed Donatell. I watched the press conference, and it was interesting that he wouldn’t commit to Donatell. It could be something, but it could be nothing. We’ll find out soon. I would think that if they were going to make a move, they’d make it within a couple weeks of the season’s end. There isn’t much advantage to waiting, unless you’re unsure whether you want to make a change.
Here is yesterday’s press conference with KOC and KAM, from Vikings.com.

The big question is can we keep doing a competitive rebuild, or do we tear down this year?
I don’t think we’re going to see a complete tear down, no reason to, IMO. They do need to do an overhaul of the defense, though. They may have a piece or two that they’ll keep, but the rest needs a refreshing.
Just like last off-season, I’m here for a tear down and a 2-3 year rebuild.
I don’t think that’s what the owners want and I don’t think that will happen.
Look for a Kirk modest extension to lessen his cap hit.
I expect that, too. Roll with what you have until you find an upgrade. They haven’t found one yet.
I just don’t see how they can do a competitive rebuild with four picks and no money. It seems that more more substantial change may be required.
They’re going to have to trade players to get more picks, I don’t see any other way to approach the off-season.
Do we even have any players we would trade that other teams would want at their current contracts? We may have to just let them go to get some cap relief, and I expect other teams know this…
I agree with you, I’m just guessing the owners want to tank a year
Perhaps, that is the goal. If we can’t reach the SB, at least we can have fun watching the thrill of finding players and the agony of losing them.
don’t want
*damn phone
Mornin’!
Just heard about this recently, so I had to look it up. I can’t believe I grew up here & hadn’t heard about this until now. I’m lucky I haven’t encountered this beast yet with all the time I spend on the Missouri.

Can it play defense?
Good question.
Can it play guord?
@need a permit to hunt it?@
I don’t think so. You just don’t want to look at it, or you’ll go insane……..er.
too late
It’s Thorsday
Good morning!
Had an exhausting day at work yesterday, looking forward to watching the press conference.
@is Ed fired yet?@
(I don’t think he’ll get show the door)
Morning Rob!
Nothing happening yet…
@damnit@
I was promised that he’d be gone by Friday.
Whether the Vikings line up in a 3-4 or 4-3 base defense is immaterial, having the players to execute the play calls is the issue.
As a group, they haven’t been good for the last 3 years.
They were bad before, but like someone pointed out at the asylum, Zim was working with far less talent. Hunter was hurt the last 2 years, lots of other injuries, no Z Smith, Shelley, or Tomlinson. So, Ed has had far MORE talent to work with this year than Zim had, and he produced…….shit.
That’s a reasonable take @are you sure you read that on the asylum?@
also, Zimmer was a very good defensive coach, even if he was a jerk as a person
