- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here. Just be civil and cool to one another.
Hey JROB! I hope this email finds you well. Its been a mild winter here in the Dakotas up until recently, now I fear the long dark embrace of winters death grip may be upon us with wind chills in the -40s possible. It may even be colder than the winter we faced at Valley Forge in the late 1700s and I doubt Lewis and Clark had to face anything this harsh. Looking forward to send you more emails, keep that inbox warm. With love.

FKey. Know you are a funny guy but here’s the deal.
I have no email really – just signed up for this and used my wifes
We are both very. private people – key word very.
She thinks people posting on blogs must be perverts, child abusers, moma’a boys or plain idiots.
She thinks I have become an idiot for starting coming to one.
So thank you for fueling her fire with a post like this.
Perhaps you can send me your girl friend’s (if that’s correct) email address and I can fire something off to here.
I resemble that remark, as do most on here if we’re being honest, but I find it fun.
So Ben, you would like your wife reading your daily postings as well as everyone elses
For Ben or anyone. I need HELP!
every time someone post here, I get an email at home. What is going on?
Please stop this ASAP.
How many people are you ‘following’?
Do you have the little ‘Bell’ next to the comment section active? aka not crossed out?
There may be other ways to be notified but I don’t know how to do ‘every time someone posts here’.
I don’t want any and have never got one before – now, it’s every post.
Just want it to stop.
Don’t follow or want to follow anyone.
It should say who posted, I’ve accidentally done that before, look at the email to find out who, then find one of their comments and click the icon with a fire and two rainbow lines To unfollow
It appears to be from everyone?
Did it just start happening?
Did you click on anything ‘different’ lately?
Maybe it is your ‘Magnetic Personality’ that is attracting all of those e-mails.
I honestly don’t know then, I’ll have to ask
Well Ben – we are private people. See post above to Fkey (that went over big).
If this can’t be fixed. kindly remove my emaii from file and my ability to post.
Starting to like you guys, but there are bigger issues.
I’ll send you an email
That’s kinda mean. He wants the emails to stop, and Ben is sending another….
I didn’t see that before I sent an email
JR, I also accidently hit the “follow button” next to someones user name in their post. I was getting flooded with email notices too. If you open the email message, it should say KFEY has a new post or something like that. To stop this, go to any KFEY post and right next to their name you see an icon that looks like a wireless connection icon. Scroll your mouse over that and click it to unfollow whoever you’re following.
This is Shocking, Shocking I say!

Unfortunately, I am not shocked. Instead of finding ways to save lives, the WHO is focused on this, and not remotely doing so competently.
I think the Committee should be filled with Shrinks.
Since those that believe they can ‘choose’ their gender are clinically insane. IMHO of course.
We passed the 420 mark… good day…

@Oh No!! Whomever will we vote for now???@
aka white lizzo
Good riddance – and in this case don’t see how the door can miss on the way out.
Can’t figure out what he was trying to accomplish.
It wasn’t like he ever had a chance at being elected.
Pete Carroll wasn’t fired.
His Job Evolved from Head Coach to Advisor but he is still with the team.
Currently 7 HC positions open with BB/NE still to be decided.
Lots of parsing of words going on lately in the sports world.
Maybe not fired, but he still wanted to be the coach.
Pretty sure the team ownership is just trying to save face.
He was fired
Nick Saban retiring – bit of a surprise.
It is… but he’s 72 and won six National Championships in 17 seasons. Might want to enjoy his grand children.
Here is the full list of free agents as of the moment for 2024:
https://nfltraderumors.co/2024-nfl-free-agent-list-by-position/
15 long snappers will be free agents next year
We already have a Pro Bowl Long Snapper.
Trade him for picks!!!
Opps, I forgot. Draft Picks Solve All.
Yes, because we are so good at drafting!
If Draft Picks Solve All.
Plus ‘We are So Good At Drafting’
Then why are you posting about FA??
We should just cut everyone and draft a brand new team.
Laughing… you are clever SoCal…
Shhhh!!
You will ruin my reputation.
11 kickers and 8 punters will be free agents next year (yes Joseph is one of them).
So you are saying if we ‘Win Free Agency’ we will finally get our Ring?
Nah… just playin around. Most all the good free agents are going to be re-signed by their teams, some will be really bad and nobody will sign them, some will be decent and get signed, and some will be really good but high-priced.
And some will be injured all year and high-priced. Like Couch.
yes, indeed…
55 free agent Safeties next year
71 CB free agents next year
90 LB free agents next year
76 DL free agents available next year
62 free agent edge rushers available next year
27 free agent Centers next year.
46 OT’s and 49 OG’s available as free agents next year.
72 WR’s and 43 TE’s will be free agents next year.
There are 49 free agent RB’s and 6 free agent FB’s next year to choose from as well…
There are 34 QB’s in the NFL who will be free agents next year BTW. Plenty for the Vikings to choose from.

Last year we went 13-4 and folks thought we were more lucky than good. This year we went 7-10, and I’d say we were more unlucky than bad.
Luckiest team in the NFL by far last year, I think most unlucky this year, or close to it
Average it all out and we are average.
Logical.
Yeah, part of it is luck of the bounce, part of it is injury luck
20-14 over two seasons with KOC. .588 win percentage.
Pretty solid record, especially considering the injuries this year
I agree. Next year without Cousins might be tough though. Guess we’ll have to tune in each week and see how it goes.
Injuries are luck. Plays are plays. When our DB let Higgins out jump him for ball – unlucky, or bad play? When out DB let ball go right through his hands, hit him in head so could bounce up and Charger WR grab it for winning TD- unlucky or bad play?
You gotta make plays. We didn’t make enough. And then games when we did, we turned the ball over at a ridiculous rate.
When Mullens was getting sacked and laying across the D-lineman, and hr tried to toss the ball away, and the ball ended up in the defensive lineman’s lap, what do you think the chances of that happening are? I for one have never seen an “interception” like that in my life.
Balls that bounce off helmets for catches… yeah, seen that happen. Still think it was a lucky bounce though.
Our DB’s not being able to battle and break up catches? Yes, this is a weakness, not luck.
Every game every year there’s plays that go your way, some don’t. Was that really holding, etc.? I have never seen a play like the Ingrim swipe. But we had chances later to win and didn’t make the plays. Mullens fumble you mention, bat the ball away from Higgins and it doesn’t matter.
Turning the ball over is year end year out the number 1 determinant of W/L. We lead the league and that’s the reason for the record.
Now, injuries to Kirk, JJ and Hock, that’s bad luck.
Bring Hunter Back?
👍
or
👎
show me red or green!
(I like Danielle and want him to stay)
👍
It’s all about cap space though.
That’s true, they have roughly what, 40 mil in space for 2024? I think I read its anticipated to be 150+ million in 2025 so it wouldn’t be too bad to sign him to a deal with a big cap hit in 2025 and minimal this season.
Yes.
JJ, Hock, Hunter…..
You can only have so many large contracts on the roster.
KOC is coming out of retirement to play QB for free to help the team. He knows the offense like the back of his hand, I’m told.
He’s going old school and calling his own plays in the huddle.
As the cap keeps going up, those contracts decrease in percentage
I’ve heard the cap is fake. Pay him 12 billion dollars… apparently you can do that since the cap is fake.
Well, $235 million anyway.
Just get 52 other players to play for free!
MjoLnir, I was listening to Mark Rosen as I was driving to do errands just now.
Seems like he thinks both Hunter and Kirko will be back…
He sleeps with the Vikes lead lawyer ….. she might talk in her sleep.
Yeah, Mark Rosen is engaged to Karin Nelson (I think). I’m still of the mind that there just isn’t a way Cousins returns. IF that happens, the Vikings will have a legit chance to compete next year though.
Define compete?
9-8 again?
Solid shot at 10-7 and a WC game.
Compete means have a legitimate chance of winning the division.
I find this take interesting.
I mean, the Vikings were competing for the division 3 weeks ago with a backup QB.
But it would have been fsr more interesting to be competing for the division the last game against Lions.
You call what they did the last 7 games of the season competing? Boy… you have some weird standards…
I wouldnt call their first 8 competing either
Well perception is perception… the only reason the team suffered through the first 5 games, was turnovers. Pure and simple. From weeks 6-8, they turned it around and were rolling. So weeks 1-5 we had issues. Not the first 8 weeks.
Deep playoff run…maybe Conference Championship.
Don’t listen to the Doomers…
You’ve been on here long enough to know that I pretty much only listen to myself… grin.
Right on. Sometimes just a play here and a play there makes a big difference.
Be hot last month of season, and healthy, and see how things roll.
They are married now
I’m behind the times…
Kwesi Adofo-Mensah reiterated that he’d like to bring Kirk Cousins back, but that it always comes down to finding an agreement that works for both sides.
In other words, I think we’re done here.
That’s kind of what I thought to. He’d like to bring Kirk back on specific terms. Can their be a compromise? We shall see.
Yeah, I don’t think there’s a deal to be made that “works for both sides”.
Don’t know about this football stuff, but in the real world if both sides “want” to get something done, they will find a way to make it happen.
You just don’t get it. KAM is unreasonable.
No, it’s you who doesn’t get it. No one has said KAM is being unreasonable. I completely get where he’s coming from.
That’s a switch. You always claim KAM is the meanie.
I think you read too much into my commentary. I have only stated that KAM won’t write a contract for Cousins that contains excessive guaranteed money, or a no trade clause. He wants to be able to cut, or more likely, trade Cousins whenever he wants. Cousins doesn’t want that to be the case.
This is very simple.
If they actually mean it, sure, but in the NFL most of what GMs and HCs say is BS.
My “want” meant really want.
50/50. Maybe maybe not.
No different than Cousins saying he wants to “retire a Viking” and “money is not the issue.”
Money is not the biggest issue DE and we all know that. Cousins made an offer, and KAM didn’t balk at the cost. He balked at the terms. SO as Cousins said, it’s not the money.
It’s all posturing.
No, it’s all principle.
Carroll fired in Seattle.
That is shocking.
Wow…
Always a surprise firing every offseason, this is the 2024 one, they’ve been above .500 and competing for the playoffs the last couple years and he apparently hasn’t lost any energy and wants to keep coaching.
Flores may dip to head out west.
Dan Quinn is the name being floated now.
Yeah, IDK, I think Flores won’t take just any job. I think he might not take a job with a GM he hasn’t worked with before after what happened in Miami.
He’s got tough competetion out there for HC with the guys whove been fired.
Yeah, and Kraft hasn’t even made a decision yet on BB. BB said he’s under contracting and isn’t leaving NE. Basically your move Kraft.
There is always one unexpected firing.
Whaaaaaat? No shit? Wow
I think Carroll is an ass…glad he got fired.
He certainly has an annoying side line presence
Old horse face?
WHAT?!?
Wow, I had someone text me and say he’s out and I assumed retired… they fired him? Crazy.
Moves into an advisory role, probably still making gouger level bucks.

end of year presser
Summary:
Neither will actually answer any questions that matter but will say a bunch of words.
Kwesi wants to bring back Kirk the player. LOL
As long as “ competitive rebuild” is not included in those words.
Haven’t heard it yet
Vikings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah on the competitive rebuild:
“I think we’ve done a lot of positives. We’ve gained some of our financial flexibility. We have competed. We want to get to a point where there’s no rebuild, it’s just competitive. We’re close to that.”
If the rebuild is complete, the Vikings will be bad for a longtime.
Laughing… hadn’t thought about it that way, but there’s definitely some truth to that.
You guys are tough around here.
Seriously, if Kirk, JJ and later Hock, hadn’t gotten hurt could we play competitively with the likes of the Eagles, Lions, Niners.
We really couldn’t last year.
Much Truthiness in this comment.
I agree, THIS year, if Cousins hadn’t gone down, we would have been 10-4 going into the last three games, and I think we would have won all of those.
Next year, you won’t have Cousins, and the defense needs a lot of help (IMO). If KAM thinks that makes us “close”, OK.
LOL….
Kirk would have gone 6-0 ?
Unlikely.
The Vikings would have, with Cousins leading the way on offense, putting up whatever points were necessary to win.
Yeah, look how great the team was with Kirk at the helm to start the season.
With exception of 2022, his body of work leads to a .500 record.
I get a chuckle out of all the “potential” that never seems to happen.
The team was not great, but Cousins was. In the first three games he completed over 72% of his passes for 1,075 yards, and 9 TD’s. We all know we lost the first three games due to turnovers. Cousins was leading the league in passing TD’s and second in the league in passing yards when he got hurt. He averaged over 291 yards a game passing, and 2.25 TD’s per game this year.
Every game is competitive in the NFL by design. The question is winning.
I don’t see the winning.
well. I really didn’t think we could play competitively last year when we played teams with tough fronts – Cowboys and Eagles.
This year was different as Oline showed big improvement.
But last year we won 13 games, When we handled and matched the Niners physicality, I thought that was a big step forward.
In terms of matching the 49ers, I agree to a point. One game can’t be used to declare anything, one way or the other.
My idea of competitive isn’t 9-8 and a playoff spot.
Well we beat the Niners, then we beat the Packers handily in Lambeau. The team was looking good. Next time we played the Packers though, the story was quite different.
Think W/L are one thing and there’s several factors go into that – e.g., injuries.
I have thought for several years we couldn’t match the better teams because of physicality. Even we when we beat the Jets last year, they beat the hell out of us.
This year, we were tougher n this regard.
I think based on what I’ve heard so far they will bring back Hunter, both Kwesi and KOC went out of their ways to praise him, especially KOC praising his growth as a leader and captain, seems maybe he’s matured from the petulant guy who was always complaining about his contract.
Yeah, well, on the other hand, they paid him big time this year, so no reason to complain about it.
I think he was paid according to his production level. According to Spotrac his market value is 60 mil over 3 years, but they don’t put any specifics on gtd amounts but my guess would be roughly the first two years gtd and none the 3rd year. Also, he has a 15 mil ded cap hit if not re-signed next year, or 7.5 mil if he is.
I like Hunter, but if I’m KAM, I’m trading him, getting draft picks, and saving that $60M.
Best they could hope for is a comp pick with Hunter, I believe his contract also has a clause that he can’t be franchised. Unless they have a plan to replace his production I would re-sign him, he’s the only quality pass rusher on the team.
Ahhh sooo…
Correct.
There is no trading or franchising Hunter. He is basically an UFA.
Well, the Vikings have a period of exclusivity where only they can negotiate with him. I’m sure his agent knows exactly who would be interested and at what salary.
Correct. But that’s true of all pending UFA’s.
Happy Hump Day!
Are you just waking up from your vacation on the Samoa Islands?
Ha, I wish. Just busy with work and my daughter visiting.
At least somebody cares.
HSIOW….
7 inches of wet, heavy snow in 2 rounds with a layer of ice in between: Conquered
Spare Bedrooms prepped: Air Mattresses filled (these things are better than the first few beds I owned as a young adult) Fresh sheets, blankets, pillows – all the comforts of home for these freeloaders.
3 Lasagne’s made and in the freezer, 2 pots of Chili (last one simmering now) a truckload of cold cuts and cheese prepped.
5 dozen cookies made – got the wife a KitchenAid stand up mixer for Christmas. I’ve used it a ton already. Awesome piece of kitchen equipment.
House Toddler-Proofed: Took down the fridge magnets, put away knick-knacks, safety covers on all the outlets.
House Sister-In-Law-Proofed:
Real wine glasses replaced with cheap plastic, detailed instructions on how to close cabinets and drawers diagrammed and laminated.
Found every stock ‘Thank You’ card that isn’t Christmas/Holiday related in the house to send out after the funeral, about 125 – should be more than enough.
Funeral home charging MIL $6k for the funeral service – that’s including $4800 for cremation. The remainder covers the lowest end luncheon package they had, which isn’t much – sandwiches and coffee basically. Service being done at the home, with their own Chaplain as well as a Lutheran pastor coming in. I’ve been asked to write an obituary, which I’m working on and struggling with. So my focus has been on what I can control right now – cooking, cleaning, prepping to host the majority of friends and family after the luncheon in our home.
All of the above is but a fraction compared to the work my wife has done. Coordinating flights (several times thanks to the recent issues with the Max 9’s), Calling family, also cooking (brownies and cupcakes), telling the funeral home GTFO when they recommended a $2500 receptacle to contain my FIL’s ashes, the majority of which will be spread along the Hana Highway on Maui next year (joke’s on them, Bill has a Kona Coffee can from the 1920’s he bought at swap meet in the 80’s specifically for this purpose, so we’ll just be taking the ashes in a plastic bag)
tl; dr….
death sucks, cut it
Skol
Death indeed sucks. Very sorry for your loss, and you have done a magnificent job “taking care of business”. You are what every family needs at a time like this.
Wow dude, that’s a lot physically, mentally, emotionally… We’re all here for you to call you names and give you shit if you need it… fucker lol
Lol….
Was just hoping to give ya a little giggle man, that’s a lot you’re doing. Condolences.
Hopefully you can have a toke or two.
Rough time.
I have joints pre-rolled – at my Milly’s request. It’ll work out.
Don’t know quite what to say, but hoping for best for you and your family.
I farking hate funeral homes. When my MIL died, I saw first hand the guilt they heap on you if you choose the cheap pine casket for the body, then there is the rental of the coffin for viewing…she was also cremated as in your case and they gave us this spiel about having the body driven up to Billings, cremated, and ashes returned by the same guy “do you want your mother ashes to be transported by US mail?” so we paid to have the guy sit up there and wait, only the crematorium broke down so they had to mail the ashes anyway, and no there was no refund.
Body must be embalmed if there will be a viewing. Another face palm moment.
When my dad died we made darn sure the body went straight from the hospital to the crematorium do not pass go. They wanted to upsell the urn, so I carried them out in a plastic bag. Scattered them on the golf course where he loved to walk his dogs.
It’s crazy how some funeral homes act more like used car salesmen rather than someone to help give you comfort. I mean they have bills to pay as well but come on man.
We’ll keep some of Bill’s ashes here (I’ve got a little glass jar from a dispensary trip that feels fitting) the majority we’ll spread in Hawaii, some in Western Nebraska as he was born near Gothenburg. The upsell from the funeral home isn’t as much a shock to me as it’s been for my Milly. I’ve been thru this and knew what to expect. Complicating things is my FIL died broke, no savings or any type of policy. Not even a burial policy. MIL isn’t wealthy either so wife and I are splitting the costs with my sister in law – thus all the cooking and prepping to have them stay. Also complicating things….. my in-laws, mainly because of my FIL, are basically hoarders. The house isn’t ’dead-cat’ filthy, but it’s packed with all sorts of HSN stuff. Luggage, CD’s, Kitchen Equipment, Tupperware, etc. Not to mention the $3k worth of MRE-style survival food my FIL bought as he was convinced of impending doom after the ‘24 election – many purchases like this is why he was broke.
Oh my friend that is indeed a trial. Getting rid of all the stuff in my folk’s place so we could sell it and move my mom to a condo was one of the more stressful things I have ever been involved in, and I really got off almost Scott free since I lived so far away. Ugh, you are a good man.
Mother in law told me to have my pick of what I wanted. Lots of Milwaukee Tool Equipment. Weed trimmer, couple of saws, nice Toro snowblower. I have all the tools I need, but I think I could find buyers to pay a fair price and then just give her the cash. Milly is stubborn AF – when we go out to eat I often have to pay the bill in secret as she refuses to not pay and will legit make a scene, but she’s 70 and looking to retire in March. I’m thinking a few extra dollars wouldn’t hurt. We’ll see.
Yeah, making arrangements and such sucks. I don’t mean to pry by does the service include a casket? 4800 for cremation seems high.
Nope. $4800 just for cremation. I was floored. My mother’s cremation in 2008 was $2200.
Maybe there’s a heck of a carbon tax?
I would just as soon they stick my cold unembalmed corpse in a hole and plant an oak sapling over me.
Same. Put a stick of TNT between my teeth and another betwixt my asscheeks, toss me on a John boat, light the fuse and push me down the Niobrara….. and R U N!
That is what I want, just wrap me in a sheet and throw me in the ground, that or dispose of me on a pyre floating down a river.
Viking Funeral…..
Sounds kinky.
Yeah, that is shocking, my grandma in 2021 was like $2000, but that was in OK, not sure if geography plays into it, like if they’re the only crematorium in 300 mile radius they charge whatever they want.
I honestly have no idea. I’m in Lincoln and Omaha most certainly has adequate facilities. No idea. The funeral home my MIL chose wasn’t highly rated – decisions made in haste, while grieving – and we didn’t know that until after the fact. Trying to make the best of it and be there as little as possible. When I inquired about bringing food (lasagna and chili) they said I’d need a food handler’s permit and immediately recommended a ‘hot lunch’ package. I said no problem, I have a food handler’s from serving at the mission – they weren’t expecting that.
Touché
That sucks, one of the best things a person can do is have arrangements already made so the family doesn’t have to worry about it.
I feel the same way. I’ve taken steps to try and prevent this very thing. I’ve got a burial policy from my time at the state, and there’ll be money to cover other expenses. I want to be cremated and for my wife to spread some ashes at Nest Lake in Spicer, MN and some more in downtown Leadville, CO (near where Doc Holliday shot a man over a $5 debt) the rest are hers to do whatever. No headstone. No service. She’ll not need a place to visit as I’ll be with her forever.
You are both doing an excellent job in handling a very difficult situation. Hang in there, Hammer. This, too, shall pass 🍻
https://x.com/10k_Takes/status/1745078019381665913?s=20
I would think everyday in January has some sort of Vikings failure to reflect upon.
Damn…this is true. Existence is pain.
this is bringing up so many memories…
BAD memories
It was Cousins fault…
Your nephew was screwing things up for the Redskins in Lamblow at this time so, in a way, yes.
My nephew died in a car crash 3 years ago.
Yikes. Sorry for your loss sir. Thats way too young. One of my best friends died in a car accident when he was 23. Also, no way I could have known that.
Thank you, and yes, there is no way you could have known about my personal sore spot.
Kirk will now be referred to as your son in law then.
Don’t know about that – married? A lot of folks hate their in laws.
True..Damn…well I would hate for my schtick to go out on a technicality. Just son then?
Well unfortunately, his last name wouldn’t be Cousins then.
Second Cousin
My wife would probably take exception to that…
Hopefully he died instantly?
Head on by a drunk driver coming across into his lane. Yes, pretty much instantly. The drunk was severely injured but survived.
Well that is one small mercy.
That was the game where I started disliking Zimmer. He collected FGs like a squirrel with acorns all game. Should have been more aggressive in the redzone.
AP fumbling didn’t help, I think he should have tried to run one more play for the end zone. Incomplete, clock stops. Complete, its closer or TD. Cant remember if they had a time out left or not or if they burned one. Oh well.
Yeah, I was going to mention the AP fumble. I seem to remember that was all the spark the Seahawks needed to get a go-ahead TD. Zimmer’s elation with FGs and AP’s fumbling bug me more than Walsh. Walsh needs to make that kick, but his miss isn’t Gary-Anderson bad to me.
Really, the Vikings should have just disbanded after 1998. To not make the Super Bowl that year is pathetic.
Was it Captain that failed to make an easy tackle?
Yes..I believe so…he wiffed on a Russ scramble. Had he squared him up they would have had 4th and long AND been fringe to out of field goal range in negative temps and the Vikes get the ball back with not too much time left. It would have been game.
I think, in a game like that with the weather I’d have just taken the points each time as well.
Just replaced a headlight bulb on car during morning break.
So, yeah, I am a man now…
FF would’ve had to take a week of vacation.
Those things can be tricky.
At least one can use sick leave for the required counseling and doesn’t have to burn vacation on that.
imagine how long that would take me
I changed a daytime running light on our Jeep.
I had to remove the wheel flap cover around the tire to get to that sucker. They make things hard on purpose nowadays.
To Change the cabin filter, I have to remove part of the dashboard.
Yeah, technically, one has to remove (or at least loosen) the front bumper and remove the whole headlight module to do it right.
I was able to squeeze into the cracks with my fingers and get the bulb out, replaced and back in the socket. I am presently unable to turn the bulb assembly to lock it back in place, though.
I will attempt that when I get more time. Plus, I want to make sure it is working right once it gets dark before committing to all of that swearing and finger bashing.
Well since you haven’t completed the job yet, can you really brag about being a man?
Since he only did half the job does that mean he is only half a man?
I’m not sure.
Maybe he is only drinking Bud light until he completes the job. Then he can have a real beer.
All while wearing the new swimsuit he bought from Target?
Pretty hard to tuck in those Minnesota winters I think.
I would think it would be easier to tuck in that cold.
Tranny problems I guess.
That is a valid debate point.
On one hand, yes, the job is incomplete. On the other hand, my manly experience is preventing me from having to do the job twice in case something isn’t right.
It’s a dilemma for sure.

Apparently, on my Subaru, you need a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering to replace bulbs….even the local repair shop can’t get it done.
Good man.
This song is a glimpse into my Id…
Do you know what it’s from?
Orgazmo movie from the South Park guys, which I have never seen, but I am familiar with it.
I’ve seen it, its kind of a spoof of Boogie Nights
It’s worth a Watch. It’s not as good as Basketball but it definitely has it’s moments.
I like Baseket Ball. Stupid comedy done smartly is always fun.
‘Depeche Mode is SWEET band….!’
I think unicorns are kick ass!
Also, side note that no one ever picks up on… the chorus time signature is in 7/4… AND STILL CATCHY!!!!
I think the Halloween theme from John Carpenter is maybe 7/4…or 7/8…I don’t know time signatures well.
I think Carpenter was inspired by this song, though…
That’s cool! 7/4 and 7/8 are sort of the same thing. Just matters if you are counting the quarter notes or 8th notes. I mean obviously they are different but also they aren’t lol.
You mean it didn’t take you two days to make a minor car repair?

Discuss.
Big picture, the cap is a myth but there are a lot of holes and work to be done.
The Vikings really can’t pay both Cousins and JJ. Also Hock.
Id let Cousins walk so that 2025 cap space can be as much as possible.
They can, but its kicking the can down the road and setting themselves up for a Saints type shitshow of cap.
Either rip off the bandaid or keep pushing it. IT’s not going to go away.
You also left out Hunter. HOck is paid and accoutned for but maybe you meant Hunter and said Hock.
I meant Hock because of his already high end contract.
But yes, Hunter will want money too.
I agree. Rip off the bandaid. Competitive rebuild for 6 years and counting has failed.
As I’ve been saying, Cousins will not be back in 2024. KAM will eat the $28.5M and move on.
You have been.
Could work out that way, unless Cousins really does give a team friendly deal.
Definition of team friendly is so wide ranging.
You also have to consider the NFLPA. They’re not going to let Kirk F the market for other QB’s signing a 2/40m deal fully guaranteed.
If he hits the market hes probalby going to get 40, if not 45m+
That should result in a pretty good Comp Pick for us no?
I don’t believe Kirk gives any more than a 5th round comp pick.
Doesn’t it all depend on the size of the contract he signs with another team?
That is what I understood.
It depends on age and position I believe.
I think Kirk might be up to a third rounder.
No, its because he’s accrued 10 seasons in the league.
And I am wrong, it doesn’t apply to QBs.
So yeah they could potentially get a 3rd depending on who they signed in FA
Correct.
Some will say $40 million fully guaranteed is a team friendly deal. I don’t.
Some would, no doubt.
He’d have to play for free at this point though, DE. The can has been kicked down the road as far as you could possibly go.
Nah, if it’s only a 2 year deal, it would actually be better because it would cut the 2024 cap hit in half.
Not free.
I would say $30 million, KAM would sign Kirk again. I don’t think Kirk would sign that.
I don’t think KAM would offer fully a guaranteed and a no trade clause contract either. I’d think Cousins would have to look at $37M as the lowest offer he could reasonably consider, since as Mick said, his market is $40M to $45M.
If that’s Kirks bottom line, he’s likely gone.
Yup.
Even with kirk back and JJ extended…neither of those moves help/fix the defense.
Yup
So if you have Kirk and JJ back – and Hunter for the defense, do you think sign ing that DL out of Illinois would help defense?
Do we have enough money left to pick up one DB capable of playing man,
With Flores and this help, how’s our defense?
Help yes, fix no.
It would take the draft picks from the last two years becoming servicable … which if they did would make KAM the greatest GM ever.
Even with Hunter, they need another threat opposite of him. Wonnum was good, but they need a real difference maker, kinda like Z was.
CB Room – Murphy’s inury was very noticable the last 3 games. I like Blackmon and its only up for him. Evans was dogshit and Surly could cover NFL WR’s better.
S is about the only defensive postion set.
Re-signing all those guys would be to “appease” ticket holders and cross your finger sfor the playoffs.
Wouldn’t that stud IDL from Illinois, draft, help Hunter? And one good DB – FA
Could we get to 12
He may or may not be back – who really knows?
A question about. this cap stuff (my lack of knowledge). As it does seem ass backwards from the way we did “business.”
For example, if this were business, I might have a “plan” for the QB position and it might be have Kirk for a couple more years and draft his replacement.
I would. then figure out how to pay for that and alternatives.
But, we wouldn’t start with the finances and then let that drive the planning thinking. It’s too restrictive.
Sometimes, in business, you have to file bankruptcy to survive.
The Vikings used all the available cap maneuvers to keep Cousins on the team the last few years, because they indeed wanted to remain competitive. The time is past for trying to continue, going deeper in debt though. The rebuild is on.
I was in business, ran a large business, for a very long time. Filing bankruptcy is only to be used as a last resort. This team is not there. Money problems, perhaps some, but not insurmountable.
Always true – form follows function, never vice versa.
Well, bankruptcy was probably a little over the top. Belt tightening is more like it.
In your business, you had a budget. You could get business loans for growth, or when times were lean, but you always had to pay back the loans. The cap has mechanisms in it that are like business loans. Sooner or later though, you have to pay them off.
Re-signing Cousins, while still in the hole for $28.5M for him, only deepens the loan debt you have already accrued.
In business terms, what do you call that?
In business – I have a plan. And we are ALWAYS dealing with debt. I may kick debt, take on more, or pay down, BUT that decision does not drive the plan.
That’s the point.
I get you JR. That said, the plan is to cut ties with Cousins, and get out of the red.
I would simply say then the tail is wagging the dog. Managing the “cap” is merely the means – budgets are not plans.
I would say in the NFL, it goes both ways. If you have players you like, you push the cap problem into the future.
If you are dealing with major cap issues, you start over to balance the budget.
Like the players or not, take age into the factor.
I dont think Hunter is the force that Watt or Garrett or Bosa is.
He’s good at cleaning up but not creating like those guys. Part of it is the help around him.
Correct. Was just trying to set the cap strategy into two camps. Of course, there are 32 different strategies.
Tell that to an accountant.
I guess they can wait another year on Darrisaw, not sure they should but if they clear KCs cap hit they will have more to work with in 2025.
Its not normal for non QB’s to sign an extension between years 3-4
He is only going to get more expensive.
Of course he also might get more injured.
They will have 5th year option but that won’t be cheap for a LT.
It will be cheaper than the deal he’ll earn.
Same situation with JJ.
But again, its rare for a non qb to be extended after year 3. Not impossible, it just doesnt happen often.
Agreed
O’Neill restructure saves 9 mil, if they do cut Smith it saves 12, they can actually get a fair amount of space extending JJ if they want to structure it that way. If they want space they can create it and easily eat Kirk’s void year 28 mil.
That would be…. kicking the can down the road.
would it not?
JJ is under contract so other than signing bonus, the new money doesn’t hit until his current contract is complete. Give him enough of a signing bonus to make him happy and then a roster bonus or something that hits in 2025 and spreads out over 3-4 years.
Or trade him for a bunch of picks, and then you are really in full rebuild mode. Playing chess, not checkers.
Yup, I dont know if the Vikings are in a spot to have a 35m WR…but he is the face of the franchise.
Tough decision.
Herschal Walker type haul could pry him away.
Yep. KAM is a financial guy, not a football guy.
Depends on what you want to do, if you want want cap space now you make some of these moves, if you want more future flexibility you don’t. Either way the Vikings have 160 mil in cap space in 2025, though that’ll change when they extend JJ and then Darrisaw most likely next offseason.
Bo Nix, Ben’s favorite, you are a Viking
I think I am getting on the ‘Anyone But Crybaby’ train.
Don’t know enough to predict who will be successful based on skill/schemes and such but I don’t see anything other than drama coming for the crying/nail painting/expecting % of the team/entitled QB C. Williams.
I’m getting a real Johnny Manziel vibe from him.
Kind of where I’m at.
The question becomes to take one at #11, or trade down and take a QB later?
You either pay the huge draft pick tax to get 3 or higher, or wait and see who’s there at 4 and play the time is of the essence tax
See who’s at 11, listen to calls, if it isn’t someone you love you move back if a good deal comes.
a good deal is not the trade that happened with DET either.
I don’t like Williams from a character perspective either, certainly talented though.
I haven’t followed the college QBs like some here, but from watching the National Championship, I don’t like Penix. He seemed to get anxious when the pocket collapsed and made bad throws. JJ looked good, even under pressure.
It’s a lot easier to look good and comfortable as a QB though, when your running game is putting up over 300 yards, and you only throw the ball 18 times.
This is true, but the few times he was pressured, he seemed to take it in stride and at the very least not make a mistake.
That is true, but JJ handled pressure well basically his entire career, plus he’s a good runner which helps in those situations.
Never seen him play….I thought Ben wanted JJ??
I don’t hate him, question how good he really is though.
You question how good all of them are!
He’s older too.
Its a weird year for old guys because of the virus year.
Age isn’t a big deal to me, KOC needs someone who can really throw the ball accurately and deep.
i don’t hate his ability to move around and scramble if need be.
i always just get a little nervous for “system” qb’s…
but before mahomes, all the other texas tech system qb’s sucked, so i suppose there are exceptions. but is pat an exception only because he is going to be the 2nd best qb who has ever played the game?!?!
What? Who are you talkinga bout?
Yeah, I mean its not like these guys are 26 or whatever like the Hooker was last year. If you think two guys are graded the same I’d take the younger one though
That’s fair.
For those of you too young to remember, the “Body Bag Game” was a Monday Night Football game that was played on November 12, 1990, between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins at Veterans Stadium. The Eagles defeated the Redskins, 28–14. Its nickname comes from a pre-game boast from Eagles head coach Buddy Ryan, who told reporters his team would inflict a beating on Washington so bad “they’ll have to be carted off in body bags”. Then during the game, nine Washington Redskins players left with injuries, and an Eagles player reacted to one of those injured Redskins by yelling, “Do you guys need any more body bags?”
Distasteful, disrespectful, and dishonorable conduct on the part of the Eagles.
Following the Body Bag Game, the Eagles won five of their last seven under Randall Cunningham, finished the season 10–6 and earned a wild card playoff berth, the fourth seed in the tough NFC. The Redskins meanwhile also won five of their last seven to finish the season 10–6, losing the number four seed to the Eagles. Despite this, the Redskins would return to Veterans Stadium and defeat the Eagles in the Wild Card playoff game, 20–6, in a game where the Washington defense physically punished the Eagles endlessly. The Redskins lost the following week, to defending Super Bowl champion San Francisco in the divisional round though. However, Redskins coach Joe Gibbs and others pointed to this game (Eagles defeat in the Wildcard game) as the foundation for the successes of the 1991 Redskins, who would go on to win Super Bowl XXVI.
top 10 movie scenes ever IMO….love that tournament fight montage
🎶…nothing’s gonna ever beat ya down….🎶
Is there anybody else that is/will be in the Hall of Fame for 2 different sports? There’s an entire generation that doesn’t realize Joe Gibbs is an NFL Hall of Famer and only know him as a NASCAR Hall of Famer. Pretty impressive to be that successful in two things so different.
Well Bud Grant, while not making the NBA Hall Of Fame did win a Championship with the Minneapolis Lakers in 1950 before going on to play football/coach in Canadian Football league before joining the Vikings.
Bud Grant was a one of a kind, man.
Then Alan Page went from the Vikings to The Minnesota Supreme Court.
NFL Hall of Fame (88) to Supreme Court Justice to Presidential Medal Of Freedom are greater achievements than being in the Left Turn HOF IMHO.
That’s really a good take Bow. Pretty amazing he could take his leadership and management skills into a completely different sport and be that successful.
A really impressive guy too beyond sports. Got to talk with him a couple of times and he is really solid in a down to earth way.
Never had the pleasure of meeting Joe Gibbs, but always felt he was exactly as you describe. Envy you JR!
this is an amazing story and helps reinforce my hatred of the eagles.

What a pansy taker.

Canada is moving to at home screening via a self administered swab for detection of cervical cancer, supplanting the Pap smear. Actually makes a lot of sense. Next up will be self screening with self administered DRE and urethral swab for prostate cancer.
Can’t wait…
Will really help with developing flexibility as one ages.
A question for the GM/Cap experts.
Understand they did something last year to restructure Cousins some to lower his Cap hit. (I don’t understand how).
Even so though, if you go out and sign someone like Davenport for 13 mil did you just blow the whole savings on one move?
The Vikings (KAM) restructured Cousins deal in March 2023, changing his $20 million roster bonus to a signing bonus, and adding two additional void years to the two that were already on his deal.
At the time, the move not only made the team salary cap-compliant, but also pushed $16 million to those void years.
Not sure if that specific move made it possible to sign Davenport (he was signed on 27 March).
It wasn’t done to specially sign a player.
It was done to increase cap space.
$10 million to the couch was a terrible move.
My thought for you and NLV – and you both understand business.
QB position and what you pay, and save there, gets lost quickly if you screw up later moves – like Davenport.
One step forward, two back.
Indeed… we agree there JR.
GMs do things like that to increase cap space as much as possible. The Vikings signed a few FAs including Murphy and Davenport, it also gave them the flexibility to later sign Risner.
I wonder if this means they’re drafting QB #1 overall
https://x.com/TomPelissero/status/1745103875873353785?s=20
My guess is, it’s all smoke to gain more picks from some team.
That’s my guess as well, who knows though
Also fired former Vikings assistant under Zim
Cowboys beat Puke, and Eagles, then lose to 49ers in NFCCG. Chiefs lose to Dolphins, Ravens go to AFCCG, this is the way.
I hope the Eagles continue their choking ways and get knocked out by Tampa Bay first game. They really took a header in the last part of the season.
Cowboys should beat the Packers.
I pity the Lions. Finally win the division and make playoffs, and they might get bounced by their former QB first game. That is Vikings luck.
But, yeah, if I had to pick an NFC winner, I’d go with the 49ers.
Probably Ravens coming out of the AFC, I concur.
I don’t like the Eagles, especially since the “body bag” game against the Redskins (12 November, 1990, on Monday Night Football). I don’t like the team, and I don’t like their fans. I hope Tampa beats them, but I don’t think they will. Dammit.
I’m hoping for a great Baker Mayfield playoff game. I kind of like Baker. Not great, but he’s a gamer.
I don’t like the eagles either. But I don’t think there’s a chance in hell Bucs can go into Dallas and beat them. Eagles probably can’t either, but have a much better chance. Just want somebody to get the Cowboys.
Oh I would enjoy Tampa beating them but I think Tampa is just as broken, could be a 14 to 10 kinda game.
For some reason I’m not overly impressed with Baltimore. Jackson has had MVP seasons before but still wilted in the playoffs. I think Buffalo and KC could go win there, don’t know if they will but they’re certainly capable.
Buffalo is either going to win it all or lose by 30 in a game.
They’ve been boom or bust all year.
Mostly boom lately as they enter the playoffs
Yeah, they kind of hit a crossroads at 6-6, then rattled off 5 straight wins to win the division, Dolphins were 9-3 at that time but went 2-3 down the stretch with a bad loss to Titans, blowout loss to Balt, and the loss at home to Buff.
I’m kind of pulling for Buffalo to get to the ship. They’ve had seemingly better teams the last couple of years so it seems fitting that they would make it this year when people really aren’t talking about them.
My boss is a huge Ravens fan, and he has the big meltdown worry for Jackson.
I hope the cowboys trash the puke.
I hope the rams beat the loins.
Kind of opposite. Hate all the Jerry Jones bullshit. Let the Packers beat them and then lose the next.
Lions – feel sorry for their fans and Goff some after the Stafford trade. And hey won our division
I can’t cheer for the pukers.
Ever.
I really can’t either – the lesser of evils and no way can I root for all that Cowboy crap and hype. Can’t stand Jerry Jones.
Go Stafford! Go Meteor!
Ben you hear this one by the Avett Brothers? Good tune, fun to sing.
Yeah, I’ve heard every song they have. I think my wife and I have seen them live 5 times. High Steppin’ is good, I went with Morning Song because I did the thread this morning and it was one of the first song in my suggestions and well, it was morning. A Father’s First Spring is my personal favorite.
Love their harmonies. Good stuff!
i heard the beatles were the avett brothers biggest inspirations
Been re-watching ‘New Girl’ at night before bed with the wife. Forgot how funny that show is.
it is very funny. some of it is blah but most is pretty good.
one of my favorite parts of the show is how much nick loves jess’s older boyfriend
I don’t know about that, but the A bros wouldn’t exist if not for the influence of the beatles
Oh here we go, this discussion again lol.

What do you think KAM/KOC will do at the QB position?
I think it depends entirely on how much of a discount, in terms of money and control, Kirk is willing to give.
If he is willing to do something in the neighborhood of 35 million a year with only 1 year guaranteed KAM will sign him….if not, he will take a QB in the 1st or 2nd and just roll with the rookie and Mullens.
If Kirk signs, he still may take a QB in the 1st or 2nd round.
My extensive GM experience has led me to this conclusion.
i know im in the MAJOR minority here….
but i’m going to go out onto a sapling like limb and call that kirk resigns for 3 years, for well below the average qb salary. maybe around 20 mill a year.
Well, that would be nice… but, not gonna happen.
I think there’s a very good chance Cousins is in Tampa next year.
and it’s possible you are correct.
but if i am, like everyone else on here who guesses things correctly, i will make sure EVERYONE knows i was right
I don’t think he’ll play for free, I think the idea he’d play for even 35 mil is a pipe dream when you look at QB pay.
Correct.
The home team discount is like $2 million.
Like it was when he chose MN over the Jets.
Atlanta*
If given the choice I think Kirk would prefer Atlanta, they’ve got 3 really good skill position players in Bijan, Pitts, and London. They also have one of the best olines in the NFL, especially the interior.
They have no State income tax in Florida… grin.
That is very true, I’m guessing Kirk would welcome that after being in a state with like the 5th highest state income tax.
The average salary for the top 15 QBs in the NFL is 44mil. Kirk would never sign for 20 mil. My guess is the “discount” he would give them is 40 mil instead of 44.
has a player ever played for free?
i think now is the time that kirk breaks that mold.
Maybe he will fully embrace that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Do it KIRK!
And then the Lutherans came along.
YESSSSSS
My guess would be 37 and that is a discount.
In the end, as Cousins said, it’s not as much about the money, as it is the structure. The money has to be enough to represent his worth for sure, but in the end, the guaranteed money and no trade clause are a big part of the equation. Cousins will never let a GM “own” him.
It isn’t the money and something reasonable around two years “can” be worked out.
If a team offers Cousins three years, with a lot of guaranteed money and a no trade clause, KAM is out there spittin into the wind, with a two year deal.
Wouldn’t bet on that.
I know, and I’m good with that JR.
Whether or not Kirk stays in MN will be decided before any other team can make him an offer. If Kirk is not re-signed before free agency starts, he is gone. They can’t take the accelerated cap hit from the void year and give him a new deal. Any new deal will be done to lessen the dead hit this year.
Better reply then what I was getting ready to attempt.
Yep… them’s the facts. As Cousin said, we’ll find out in March. Either KAM will offer Cousins a contract to his liking, or he won’t.
You really think that’s possible? That would be insanely amazing. Guarantee it all for that amount.
i don’t think it’s possible, but i can dream can’t i?
I think you’re right on the gtd money, especially after a season ending injury like that. Reports were last offseason KAM offered a 2 year fully gtd contract but Kirk demanded 3. Apparently the amount wasn’t an issue. I doubt KAM has changed his mind on this, maybe he will, but either way I think he’ll draft a QB that has a higher pedigree than Jaren Hall.
i am 100% in the camp that kirk wants 3 years, and i am not so sure money is the sticking point.
Kirk can want in one hand, but KAM will probably shit in the other.
Yep… and that’s already occurred.
He ate Taco Bell the night before too
LOL
yep, i know it doesn’t matter what kirk wants.
Yes, it doesn’t matter that he wants to remain in Minnesota, and offered a below market deal to do so, that KAM rejected.
Doesn’t matter what Kirk wants at all.
I could offer to play for less than market value. That doesn’t mean I’m worth it.
It is a capitalistic society at least for a little while longer
That makes about as much sense as Bidenomics, Bow.
I like how KAM plays hard ball tbh
Sure played hardball with Davenport… not.
I bet Flores had something to do with that. Meh, one year prove it deal, over paid yes, but didnt really hurt the team in the long term.
Hurt the team this year.
Who cares? Was a null year from the start of last March, they werent competitive on paper and had a lot of growth to undergo on both sides of the ball and that was apparent from week 1 from the on field product as well. In the grand scheme of things, its a fart in the wind. Or a tear drop in rain, whatever metaphor you like.
I guess if there was a year to not really care about a failed 1 year deal it would be when you’re QB1 has a season ending injury early.
I don’t know where you got the information from, but KAM didn’t offer Cousins anything. It was the other way around. Cousins made an offer, and KAM rejected it.
Potato Tomato, same thing, they were engaged negotiations.
OK… but it makes it sound like KAM was trying to get something done, and Cousins rejected his offer. That is a huge misrepresentation of reality.
Yeah, I think KAM would have preferred to get an extension done, but only on his exact terms.
Maybe. Or maybe Cousins has just simply priced himself out of the market from KAM’s perspective. KAM is going to let him walk, eat the $28.5M in 2024, and start over.
Yeah, I’m not sure what KAM wants, but he absolutely should build the roster the way he and KOC want, whether it works out is a hole other thing.
Indeed
I wouldn’t begrudge Kirk for trying to get as much money as he can. Taking a discount to help the Vikings is silly, as the Vikings have proven they are perennial also-rans.
That’s so negative. I hate myself a little bit for it…
That’s fine.
Just don’t make meaningless claims like “I want to retire a Viking” or “Money isn’t the biggest thing”…..yadda, yadda, yadda…
Dont buy into Kirks PR…..
Laughing… he’s not lying… you’re just a hater.
It’s all PR unless he signs a team friendly deal.
You are just sucked into Kirks abyss.
Hater’s gonna hate… we all get you DE.
If seeing the truth about Cousins business dealings is considering hating, so be it.
Haters gonna hate… there is nothing you stated that makes rational sense. You’re just insisting Cousins is a liar because you hate him, and everyone can clearly see that.
Yeah basically this is my thinking too BUT I don’t know if that’s literally what I want to happen or if I really think I have any idea what the Kwesi-Train will do.
I don’t know if that’s what I want to happen either edge…
If Kirk leaves I will be conflicted….
What did that football coach say?
Something like “Like watching your mother-in-law drive off a cliff in your Cadillac”
Love that saying…
Ha!
Bob Green
That was some funny shit right there….loved
“We gotta be BUSY BUSY BUSY! Like a homely girl on her honeymoon”
Yeah, he’s hilarious, and apparently was a decent head coach at that school, I think they named the field after him.
Kirk has been extremely durable and I hate myself for thinking it, but I just imagine giving him a big guaranteed contract (say 2 yr/80M/NTC) and he steps in the same hole Teddy did this summer at training camp and the Achilles goes POP. Prove me wrong, Kirko Chainz!
Yay!
Good morning, again, SKOL!
FTP!
i absolutely HATE that picture of KAM up top.
i don’t know why but i hate it.
Actually, I was thinking the exact same thing. I just didn’t have the courage to say it.
He looks like the president of the evil fraternity in a Revenge of the Nerds-type film.
i will speak for you and the thousands of others who hate this pic as well..
i can’t tell if it’s just because he looks smug like he’s a GM who has “made it” and can look however he wants…
but i’m sure the real story for how he looks this way is he was just told one of his friends found out they were pregnant and he was mid “congrats”
It was taken during our loss to the FTP. Hate it!
Try and trade up for Jayden Daniels, and when that fails, trade down and either take someone shitty or re sign Kirko for way too much money.
Laughing… nice take Surly.
Ben’ been asking hard questions lately.
since it’s not Tuesday, makes it a little hard.
But before answering, and I’m poor at this GM stuff, wonder if you can make a run in the playoffs if you have a 5th ranked offense and a 12 ranked defense.
Answer to that would drive my thinking of what to do at QB. It also would drive my thinking on what to do to make that happen.
I think the Kirko train has run off the tracks. KAM will have to bring in a new QB1 next year. He’ll let Cousins walk, just like Bruce Allen did. However he skins the cat though, the QB position will be weaker next year. Just is what it is.
You can’t ask this question and then complain that we talk about, you know who…..
I think its fine to talk about him in terms of what people think Kwesi and Kev will do, its not really about whether or not people like Kirk, but more about what we think the leadership will do at the position. The other day I forgot the question of the day was about Kirk on a non Tuesday, I must not have been around the day it was decided either.
the solution for that is to be like me, and have no life other than work and once in a while golfing.
That way you will not miss anything around here.
KAM and KOC will probably bring back Kirk because the Wilfs like competitive rebuilds.
That’s been the Wilfs plan for 6 straight years.
Why not go for 7 straight years.
The Wilfs will be lost once Kirk is too old to lace them up. Kirk is as “competitive-rebuild” as a QB can get.
Do we “really’ know what the Wilfs want?
I think I’ve read before that their intention is to win the division every year first and foremost and from there I think its more they hope to go deep in the playoffs.
