Not sure if any of yall watched this yet but if you havent, here it is. I noticed around the 4-5 minute mark he compliments Darnold on his throw and Darnold has his head down and walks up and goes “Yeah in a walk through” a little kinda meh about it and KOC goes ” Yeah But ill still take it!”. KOC is pulling the right levers here, espically with the younger players, which I still consider Darnold to be. I feel like he’s had whatever confidence he had in himself coming out of college stripped away by the shitty teams he’s been on (minus being back up for the 49ers and only playing for a half in a non important game). KOC is going to be brining that confidence back, and thats huge in changing mental toughness and ability. I like it.

He’s sad because he can see how much more talented JJ is and the writing is on the wall that he’s going to end up being a backup again even though he took this job thinking it would be his chance to resurrect his career.
And if his confidence is that shot that he can’t even loosen up at a spring practice then he’s probably not savable.
Thats…one way to look at it I guess lol
Yea Darnold has played in some pretty ‘shitty’ places and not sure his coaching has been the greatest. Heard Phillips a couple of weeks back talking about his pure talent.
KOC has a nice way about him. This may turn out pretty good.
In the end, it’s practice. Darnold will either be decent and competent under center, or not. I kinda feel if a QB needs a coach to say “there, there…” to him, I wonder if he has the sand to be on the field and lead a team.
The coach was mic’d and everyone knew it – a lot of theatre stuff here.
Likely
Rational…
I personally believe Darnold is going to play well. Now, it would help him. or any other QB that plays, if we could just run the ball a little bit effectively.
Darnold can, and does scramble.
True. But I’d also like a ‘true’ running game from a RB.
Yup. Very good athleticism/mobility imo.
You are the one who is irrational about Darnold.
SDS is real for you.
I have only quoted data, which is rational. Sad you have no capacity to discern the difference between rational and irrational posts, yet make these kinds of comments to me.
Thats laughable considering thats all KOC did with Cousins when he was here and theres video proof backing that up. If a 10+ year vet needs to here “there there…” theres something wrong.
Well you base your commentary on a completely false premise. Therefore your point is not worth considering.
LOL
KOC is so awesome and clearly so with it and in the present at a high level. And yeah didn’t know weather to take that Darnold reaction as being humble or just not very confident. I love when he roasted the guys about basketball haha!
Fans want Sam Darnold?????
Better a few games to late than too early IMHO.
Not they ‘want Darnold’, more they understand he is the better option to start the year.
As they should, im glad to be in the majority this time around. JJ is tweaking his mechanics right now, probably barely learning the system at this point. Barring injuries galore like last year he should not see the field this season.
Must be damaging to your ego, since you’ve done nothing but trash him.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I don’t want Darnold. But I think JJ needs some growing time.
Just read joke number two for the day – NDR’s response to me asking this morning what Health Equity was? Worth a read and thanks to NDR for response. It’s now on yesterday’s thread.
It can be Copied and Posted over here.

Health Equity is the concept that health care should be structured in such a way that every individual achieves their highest level of health that they can.
Contained in the DNA of Health Equity is the belief that the actual Health Care system itself is racist and discriminatory and that society is also racist and discriminatory and these factors lead to lower levels of “Health” for “oppressed” minorities…therefore resources need to be expended (given to) in support of the oppressed populations to enable their Health status to be the same as the evangelical, nuclear family, white individual.
For example, in North Dakota the LGBTQ+ population has lower health insurance rates than the evil, straight, white people – this causes poorer access to health care and worse health outcomes.
Now, of course it is likely because trany people are nuts and can’t hold a job, but that is beside the point
Translation: White males will be treated for their health issues last.
Just trying to help Bother JRob out.
Thanks.
And upon reading again, wonder where the “expanded resources to be given” comes from?
The oppressors of course.
But Biden has seem the light and is no longer an oppressor
He isn’t. He is only doing what is necessary to keep Trump from getting elected because Trump is a threat to our democracy and quite frankly the future existence of the United States.
And if the people in this country are dumb enough to believe that, then as a country we get what we deserve. Bad things come to dumb people maketing dumb decisions.
The average American these days is a moron. Now, with that in mind think about the fact that half of Americans are dumber than that.
And the world.
I was hanging out in yesterdays thread and it got kind of quiet.
Then The Teacher got up and we had conversations and plans to make for the day.
Got back on-line and thread was dead, low and behold you guys started a new one today and didn’t invite us ‘real old guys’.
I would hold a grudge but my memory isn’t that good.
I know Prisco is an idiot but, he has A-aron at #20, after not playing all of last year and no idea if he is truly himself after the injury.

Didn’t read it. Pundits are gonna pundit.
TLDR = Clickbait
Tyreek Hill is number four – really? This isn’t a joke but not sure what value it is either.
Perspectives and opinions. Just some guy posting his. Meaningless.
I am ok with listing the douche as the #20 QB.
No I didn’t read the post, not interesting in giving ‘idiots’ extra clicks.
I’ve been saying this since we drafted McCarthy, that Mullens will not be playing for the Vikings, but get shot down at the notion. This article basically says the same thing have said.
Guess could be but have heard for two years we have a very difficult offense to learn. Noticed last year Mullens could run the offense well not withstanding turnovers.
Guess all the new QB’s to the system and just plain new will be fast learners.
All NFL passing offenses are built around the basic 9 route, “route tree”.
The NFL route tree is a numbering system used by both the offensive and defensive side of the ball to identify specific stems/breaks/directions that receivers run on passing plays.
Whether that is a straight “go” route outside of the numbers, or a three-step slant that shows up on the backside of a 3×1 formation in West Coast playbooks, every offense in the league uses the route tree as a core system (or guide) to pair with the multiple passing concepts/combinations in the game plan.
Where KOC’s scheme gets complicated is the “adaptive” route running the receivers are expected to execute. That is, the receivers many times run a route that they alter mid-flight based on what they see the defense doing. Thus the QB must not only read the defense, he also must read his own receivers. He has to do this in the same amount of time though that other QB’s just have to go through their defensive reads.
KOC can simplify the offense with more timing routes and one-read throws. Just hit your back foot and deliver the ball 5 to 7 yards downfield. I hope we see more of that this year.
I understand and I also like our offense as it requires a defense to defend the entire field regardless of their scheme. If it’s complicated the young boys are just going to have to learn, or keep Mullens until they are up to snuff.
Just don’t like dumnming it down.
I’ve been using Madden to teach my nephew about the route tree…..
I can see Mullins being the backup.
After last year QB depth should be a major issue.
But I freely admit that they could decide to cut or trade him.
Hard to say.
His dead cap hit is only $375,000 if he is cut. Cutting him would lead to $1.8 million in savings.
Nothing can be ruled out.
I would guess he makes the roster, Hall to PS at least to start the year.
I wouldn’t be shocked if he is cut though.
I just amazes me how dumb people are.
Falcons stadium is artificial turf.
They installed real grass over the artificial turf for the Copa Soccer series.
Who in their right mind would think that this would even be on the same level of quality grass grown outside in a real stadium?
student: ‘I got …. like a ticket for parking in a handicapped spot, but like… I was like… only there for a minute…. can I get it waived….?
me: ‘are you handicapped?’
student: ‘no’
me: ‘do you have a handicap sticker or hangtag?’
student: ‘….no’
me: ‘…….’
student: ‘I guess I have my answer….’
me: ‘I think you do…. have a great weekend…’
Skol
i’m majorly LOLing at cam bynum right now.
You just don’t understand how good they are going to be. He’s seeing the All World talent that JJ is daily and it’s time you get aboard the hype train.
Is it because of this statement?
“I expect a Super Bowl,” Bynum directly said about the Vikings’ ceiling during a Thursday appearance on NFL Network’s “The Insiders” program, as shared by Kevin Patra of the league’s website. “…You look at the guys on the team, you look at the locker room, all the experience we have. Look how much depth we have, especially on the defense. So many guys. It’s almost weird looking around. You’re like, ‘OK, how are we all going to get on the field?’ There’s just so many ballers.”
Took me a little time, but that is Chris Walsh in the thread picture.
Wasn’t called upon much in when he was there but I seem to remember him being pretty sure-handed and reliable. Good special teams player too
I have zero memory of him doing anything as a Viking.
I remember a handful of first down conversions on 3rd down and some timely tackles made as a gunner on punt coverage.
He was one of my first favorite players. I remember something about them showing him on the sideline with gauze on his head because he had surgery or something that week.
You would think I might remember that.
I just thought of this.
Do you think Skolly now has a #18 poster to worship Atlanta’s new QB?
Yep, he has #18 fatheads covering up the #8 fatheads. And Mick had to reline his chicken coop with Falcons posters as well.
Is Mick covering up the Walz posters?
IIRC he broke his jawbone the week before. He was one of my early favorites as well. I think he was so good on special teams, he was never given much of a chance on offense. I believe one of our WRs got injured and he had to play a lot of offensive snaps for a couple of games and our ST fell apart, without him.
Chris Walsh (American football) – Wikipedia
LOL.
Wikipedia claims the data needs verification.
LOL
a question for folks who know something of the law (0r a thought).
Understand Trump is still under a gag order from the Judge in his recent case in NY.
So in the debate, If Biden starts attacking him with convicted felon stuff, is he limited in his ability do defend himself?
I don’t think he can say much, other than disagreeing with the claim.
If CNN and Biden start discussing the “evidence”, and details of the trial, Trump in theory could be found in violation of the gag order.
So yeah, I think that will be brought up by CNN and Biden.
I’m sure that is the plan.
We need to gussy up this new thread with more balance sheet and health equity comments.
A credit from the bank to you, is an increase in the banks liability of what they owe you.
A credit from your own saving or checking account?
The banks credit to you. A deposit you make.
OK but I still don’t know what “health equity is”?
But then after we win the SB this year and Darnold is the MVP what do we do next?
I think it means to medically treat white males last, regardless of the medical condition.
Basicly.
But they use a lot more Buzzwords to explain it.
Of course.
First !!!
Ok. Not first.
JJ is #1.
Haven’t you heard?
JJ is a bust because he can’t throw and baseball, and Darnold sucks because he never got to play in SF.
No, no, no. He missed on purpose because he is a true leader. Also, Mahomes and Brady both threw horrible first pitches so the Vikings are basically guaranteed multiple SBs. It’s science.
Good morning, SKOL!
