Mike Tomlin said he’s going to keep the starting QB decision “in-house” ahead of the Steelers game against the Jets, per NFL.com.
Tomlin didn’t tell George Pickens that they’re keeping it in-house, as Pickens accidentally leaked that Wilson will be starting. Whoops.

A lot will depend upon how the refs call or not the handsiness of DB’s in the game.

Lawrence starting to look better. Patriots up 10-7. Maye has played well so far, and has a 123.6 passer rating. Lawrence is 6/7 for 64 yards and a TD, with a 144.3 passer rating. Game is a good one so far.

I was up at 6 a.m. The cat was hungry and hopped up in the bed, insisting I feed him. Once I’m up, I’m up. No going back to sleep for me. Took an early morning walk, came home, made coffee and breakfast, read the news, and now watching football. Good day so far!

Honestly, the Texas QB (Ewers) is weak.They were pretenders because of that in my opinion.
On a happier note, I was in Stillwater today. No, I didn’t see Freeze. We had a pleasant 2 hour river cruise with a church group. And then we went to a wedding reception and saw some of my wife’s cousins that we haven’t seen in years. All together we were on the road for about 4 hours but it was a nice day.
My cousin in law passed this morning. He would have been 61 in November. Very sad.

Personally, I don’t think the Lions are as talented as the Packers.
Kitties have a good interior pass rush. We have Bradbury and Ingram. Akers and Ham block well but 2 back sets limit the passing game. Game will be decided in the trenches, as they said in the old days.

With Hutchinson out the Loins have 5 sacks in 5 games from their current players.
Still think it’s our passing game against their run game.
And if Ingram should falter, it should come as no surprise to anyone.

Just watched the Madden 25 Vikings vs Lions game on the Lions website, the guy doing it tried to guess on the lineups, and then just ran it (computer ran both teams). The final score was 35 to 14 Lions, they never punted once, no turnovers for either team, Jefferson had 2 catches for 19 yards, Goff was 20 of 22 for passing in the 1st half alone. They did mention that Madden had only got the winner right once all season, let’s hope that continues.
If we continue to do what we have been doing should be fine.
The fact that Minn’s strength of schedule so far this year is ranked 3rd while the Loins is ranked 26th give me hope. Add to that a home game, coming off a bye (rested), the loss of a big part of their defense (Hutchinson), and our WRs vs that defense with a weakened pass rush and a questionable starting CB (Davis).

Ricky Fowler is two shots out of the lead and has missed 5 putts inside 8 feet, and two of those inside four feet. He’s using a new center shafted putter, and it’s not working. Matt Kuchar is tied for the lead, BTW.
Poor Rickey, just can’t seem to put it all together anymore.
They’re finishing the second round this morning, and he’s within striking range of the lead, but man… missing short putts is going to be the death of him. Used to be one of the best putters on tour.

I decided to put by clubs away last weekend for the season.
My plan is to quit for good next spring…Who needs that aggravation???
Laughing. If it aggravates you, and you’re paying for it, I’d say an attitude adjustment is in order.
Life takes it’s toll on the body, try a lengthy par 3 first. Found hitting irons more comforting.
I really struggle with irons…think I need to go straight hybrids except for 8 9 and wedge.
I hit my 4 hybrid fairly well to about 180ish…but cant hit a 5 iron so save my life.
My woods off the tee often ended up in the woods. Irons comfortable with. Mishit at times but found ball.
As I got older really struggled with long irons – dumped em. Carried 6, 7. 8. 9, PW GW SW LW. Only used 6 to punch out or something and never really used LW.
Carried a 25 and 21 degrees Hybrids and could do anything with those clubs – they are money.
Saved my game.
