Vikings vs. Colts
Offense
The Vikings hosted the Colts at U.S. Bank Stadium last night for Sunday Night Football. The Vikings were looking to right the ship after they faltered the last two games on offense and defense. The offense has had a habit all season of starting strong and building a lead, then sputtering through the rest of the game, and barely winning at times. You’ll be happy to know that the offense did NOT do that last night. Nope, last night, the offense sputtered right out of the gate, and they continued to spit, sputter, hack, and gag until halftime. The Vikings went into the half with a big goose egg on the board (for those of you who grew up in town, that means they had zero points at the half). Then they came out in the second half, actually played some football, and put up all 21 of their points in the third and fourth quarters.
Defense
Speaking of righting the ship, the defense did just that. They stifled the Colts offense for the entire game, holding them to 68 rushing yards and 159 passing yards, for a total of 227 yards. That’s an impressive performance. They didn’t allow the Colts offense to score a point until the fourth quarter when the Colts scored a field goal. That wasn’t even on the defense as the Colts intercepted Sam Darnold (again) and took the ball over already in field goal range. The Colts did score one field goal in “garbage time” after the Vikings had the game pretty much wrapped up. Really, the defense only allowed three points last night. The only Colts TD came on a strip-sack/scoop-and-score in the first half (the only points for either team in the first half), and their offense didn’t even really get close to the end zone.
I’m not sure what the defense did differently, but they were once again able to apply pressure, force bad throws. create turnovers, and put the game away. Once the Vikings went up by 10 late in the game, the defense smelled blood and sacked Flacco three times on the Colts’ final possession when they only ran 7 plays (plus the field goal). It was a great bounce back game for the defense.
Summary
Hey, it wasn’t pretty. That first half of offense was not pleasant to watch. Darnold looked off, the play calling was not great at times, and the blocking, or lack thereof, was really bad. It goes without saying, but Ingram and Bradbury (Ingrabury) once again stood out, and not for good reasons. The team could sure use an upgrade at C and/or RG, but with the trade deadline merely hours away, it’s looking like an upgrade will not be coming until next year, or until they finally get Risner into the lineup and bench one of the weak links. Time will tell.
Like I said, you have to be happy with how the defense performed. The offense finally came around, but once again, was mostly absent for half of the game. Will Reichard seems to be injured, and he missed the first two field goals of this season and of his career. One was a 50+ yard attempt, but the other was a chip shot. Dang it, I thought we finally had our kicker issue solved. Hopefully the injury is minor and Reichart can be back at 100% very soon.
In the end, the Vikings got a W to move to 6-2 on the season. They’re 2nd in the division, just a game behind the first-place Lions, and sitting in a pretty good spot considering their remaining schedule. Let’s hope they can rip off a few Ws in a row now. SKOL!!!!!!!!!

KC-TB going into overtime.
KC marches down and scores a TD = ballgame.
24-30.
I find getting old a big mixed bag. On one hand, I seem to be more patient but at the same time am at times very intolerant. Sorta odd.
Now tomorrow is a big day – for me and many of us.
I am a news and politics junkie. But, if Harris wins, there is no way I can listen to that cackling fool for four years.
So, if that happens, cold turkey no news or politics.
It was like that when FJB won. Similar to when the Vikings lose.
I avoid the news about those situations when that happens.
Of course when those I support get the win I look for news about it.
Still enjoy Minn Miracle Videos or Trump ’16 win reactions.
Good idea – love old movies. Sports ones are special – Miracle is pretty neat beating the Russians.
Things are just a little too crazy now (politics).
Dems prepare for “peaceful protests” and definitely NOT insurrections.
Well yes! If the Dems win there will be big riots! REMEMBER JANUARY 6th???
If the Dems lose, it will look like the summer of 2020. Mostly peaceful as they call it.
Multiple leftist groups have already filed paperwork with the National Park Service for protests on election day and the inauguration. Some 100,000 people are set to descend on the Nation’s Capitol should Trump win. The left is dangerous, violent, and vitriolic. Folks need to understand this.
The vikings kicking curse continues…..
I’m saying it broke it. Only way he was going to miss during the season so God said, no Will, you will not recreate 1998. They have struggled too much.
He’s going to be out for the year.
Book it.
Bring in that Romo from camp short term. Let Will the Chill rest and heal up for the stretch run.
I vote we don’t kick fieldgoals or extra points next weekend. Fieldgoals are for suckers anyway.
Eek. Who is the backup long snapper?
Does it matter since we don’t have a kicker? Go for it on 4th, all 2 point conversions.
More like we’ll trade our 1st rounder for some schlepp.
Obligatory whine about reverting to standard time. It’ll be pitch dark when I head home. Grr. I’d rather have light in the evening than in the mornings. Oh well soon it’ll just be dark on my way to and from work.
We seem to be the opposite. Light in the morning now but dark at night.
Buy a house in Argentina and work remotely from November to April.
17 Years Ago AD set the single game record
Just imagine what the team could have done with a competent quarterback. I guess we did see that with Favre… until the cheaters and the NFL stopped them.
I was there….it was crazy…
Chicago might be trading a WR today.
LOL…..
I’m mean he looks hurt.
But he does just casually work off the field mid play.
I think he thought Caleb was out of bounds
Didn’t look like he tried to get back when the play continued.
He did seem to have ‘a hitch in his giddy up’ while he strolled off.
Just another reason not to play soccer.

Dannnngggg.
Wild stuff. Makes you wonder how many of the “struck by lightning” people were actually struck directly versus just being in close vicinity. It’s hard for me to imagine surviving being struck directly when it can do that to people 20 ft away. Just a wild scene.
Holy s***
Did everyone else notice Anthony Richardson yawning on the sidelines just as they were discussing the tap out controversy…maybe 20 minutes later they’re talking about JJ McCarthy and he does the same. Heh heh. They need to let these guys know the announcers are highlighting them before they are caught plucking ear hairs.
At least McCarthy wasn’t expected to be ready to go in the game and didn’t just take himself out of an important play to get a breather.
I saw pictures of both but I wasn’t listening. I couldn’t stand the comments and commercials so I moved to the office where I would still watch the game but not hear.
I liked the “Justin Jefferson changes the weather” comment. I also loved that Addison and Nailor gave me the finger after I disparaged them last week.
The ‘JJ changes the weather’ comment was good. Especially when they showed how the defense reacted to what JJ was up to and how Minn took advantage of it.
I did see that. I made note because it amused me about how they were talking Richardson up with him making this a big learning experience, but then he was yawning.
Still, he had his helmet on, so it looked like he was trying to keep his head in the game.
Yes, and Cris was talking about Richardson being attentive and looking at the plays while Flacco was looking at the iPad.
I did.
I chuckled at that.
What timing.
I bet we ink Joseph.

Had our EP release this past weekend. It is streaming everywhere but here is a highlight from Saturday’s show. I am tired and sore haha.
That is some serious head banging stuff….do you guys do any John Denver?
I do know how to play Country Roads… But it’s a 4 Chord Song
That’s pretty cool
Right? It’s D, A, B, G. Granted all these songs are not those exact notes but they are basically the same progression of notes with that exact spread.
I was wondering if they did Engelbert Humperdinck.
Nice. When you hit the big leagues, you can get us all backstage passes to the Groupie Pit!
To be honest, at this stage in life, I’d probably be more interested in the bowl of only-green M&Ms, though…
Ha! The only brown M&Ms was a real rider on a contract. The band did it not to be high maintenance but to see if the promoter took care of the little things they were supposed to especially security items.
I actually watched an interview with a rocker who explained all of that not too long ago. I want to say it was David Lee Roth when he was with Van Halen, but I can’t quite remember.
Whoever it was…another reason they did it was because venue structures couldn’t support the weight of their equipment or something, which makes sense.
That happened to Megadeth recently, I believe. They had to cancel a show because venue structure wasn’t up to snuff.
Can’t blame them TBH
That triggers a memory in my brain…
When I was in kindergarten, they took us to the old high school gym for a pep rally. When all the kids cheered as loud as they could, the entire place shook and vibrated like the whole place was going to collapse.
I remember thinking I was going to die while everyone else around me was cheering.
Just another core memory of associating anxiety with school!
I had the same fears first time at the Metrodome on the bleachers that fold in and out… terrifying.
Man, that is true, you just dredged up a memory.
Queen “We Will Rock You” blaring and all the kids stomping on the bleachers, they shimmied and shook like a house of cards.
I can distinctly remember my kindergarten teacher assuring me I wasn’t going to die.
I loved her, but I was not convinced.
The love was genuine, too. After my first day of introduction to kindergarten, mom drove me home and said I was really quiet in the back seat. She then asked me how it went.
I said, “I think I’m in love.”
I don’t know what TV shows I had seen exactly to elicit that response from a 5 year old…
Kindred spirits. My first grade teacher gave me a chaste goodbye kiss my last day of school (we were about to relocate to Germany) and I called her my girlfriend for weeks.
Those days made a big impression on me. It seems like I still have as many memories of kindergarten as I do of college.
Formative years are formative!
I remember all of my teachers being old. Of course, if I look back now, that was a distortion due to my age.
Are you a tube distortion guy or more of a solid state person? For me, it’s gotta be tubes!
Haha, it’s nerd guitar gear speak about the type of distortion you prefer to use for your guitar… This is a perfect response.
I had a crush on my 3rd grade teacher….she was young and hot hot hot.
Good stuff! 🤘
Thanks!
Give the album a whirl, it’s on all streaming platforms! Exhausted – What’s It Gonna Be?
The second half, reminded me of how we started the season.
We were clearly the better team. That was nice.
She was awesome!
Yeah Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Im not buying his crocodile tear “I love all these players man just let Detroit win one super bowl” schtick. Im sure he’s as dirty as Fischer and Sean were.
Dude did hold on and apply more pressure to the ankle once Love was already down.
Well they took Hock out the last time he played vs the Lions, quite possible that the Kitties have something going in in that regard.
Wasn’t Hock like one of 3 or 4 guys they, maybe even just Branch, took out in consecutive weeks?
IIRC it was Kirby Joseph in Hock’s case, but yes, they seem to injure the other team’s players quite a lot.
Kirby, that sounds right. They’re all a bunch of cheaters who karma needs to smack down. The sad thing is Hutchinson seems pretty decent and he’s the one that took their karma bullet.
Yup, sucks that it had to be Hutchinson, he seems OK. Others on that team, not so much.
Branch should get a suspension, he seems to have one or two of this type of play every game.
They are dirty.
Always have been.
Lions definitely put something extra into their hits.
I saw that live as well. Looked suspicious, well after he was on the ground. Pretty sketchy.
” Readers added context” lmao
Now we can’t even keep a GD field goal kicker healthy. Who’s next?
I hope he heals up. But I am sort of glad he missed those and we still won and he got it out of his system.
Me too…we don’t need any Gary Anderson repeats.
Hope he’ll be as good as new once he’s healed up. Miss was inevitable at some point, good that Reichard got that out of the way and we still won.
It was inevitable but glad the first miss didn’t happen in the playoffs haha.
Indeed, better get it over with in the regular season, in a game where the kicks didn’t matter much, thankfully.
Need Cashman back badly. Wonder if our new LT has some insight on the Jags, play tells, that kind of think just for an extra advantage. That game was exhausting to watch and Im glad I did it from my couch rather then going out. Two weeks until Nashville!
Turf toe is one of those things that could flare up all season right? Even when he hopefully gets back.
Turner looks promising when he’s out there. I hope they get him more involved. He was right there at the end of game sacks. The first one would have been his sack if he wasn’t getting totally mauled. That one reminded me of Jared Allen getting Eli.
I have a feeling you guys will finally see you’re guard change this week. Anybody else catch KOC’s halftime interview? Maybe I was reading into things, but he kind of took a shot at Ingram and/or Bradbury.
I heard that, too.
Glad I wasn’t the only one. I think you need to be well versed in Minnesota Passive Aggressive, I mean Minnesota Nice, to have caught it.
haha yes
how it hasn’t happened already is beyond me
I don’t think Risner is fully healthy yet.
Not just that. Play Brandel, Jurgens, Feeney, someone other than Ingram who has proven himself terrible on many occasions. Can’t hardly be a downgrade. Replacing Bradbury is a little tougher.
Since our LT was pretty decent last night the RG situation is the next OL problem to fix.
Cam Robinson gets my star of the game award. To play that well on 4 days notice is damn impressive. Plus he was the guy picking up the playmakers every time.
Agreed.
One of the stars of the game.
He was really solid…like you said that is damn impressive after 4 days of practice.
Robinson looked really good after a whopping 4 days in a Vikings uniform. Glad that Queasy went out and got him.
When the Colts started scheming maulers at Bradbury and anything at Ingram it was very effective haha. Damn.
It seems to be pretty effective with any team we play. That duo gets bull rushed way to often.
Yup, Kevin knows that sam won’t finish the season with that guard/center combo. Center is safe I think, but gotta try something different at right guard.
The chopping block has begun. The taints fired their coach, the Raiders fired pretty much all of their offensive coaches.
Too bad the *aints can’t hire Butthole mouth so they can fire him again.
Yeah, and someone mentioned last night that jags coach could be gone after our game if we beat them. That would be the second one after a vikes victory.
This is one of the greatest impromptu football plays I’ve ever seen.
seems like a great way to get absolutely killed
Legend or dead… bro went LEGEND lol.
both of Darnold’s interceptions were REALLY bad, especially the first one. if the guy who intercepted the first one wasn’t there, the actual defender on hockenson would have intercepted it…
got to clean that crap up.
also, can we stop the running backwards for egregiously long losses on sacks please and thank you
Agreed, but mistakes will be made and the best part is he moved on from it and didn’t let it deter him. That last TD was great that KOC made that call and trusted him.
I think because of the great start Sam had, we were kinda holding him to a pretty high standard. I mean, he’s still going to make some mistakes and we need to accept that. You’re right, he moved on and had a good second half.
Sam holds the ball waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long.
Yes, longer than Cousins did and we thought he held it too long. BUT he is a bit mobile which allows him to extend the play a bit….
Overall I agree with you…he holds it too long.
What’s the NFL record for longest sack? I think we have a chance at that one.
idk, is harry the oldest player in the NFL? his sack is probably hanging real low
wait what was the question
Well done freezey.
He and Gilmore are the 1st and 3rd oldest.
Experience gives him a decent amount of Sack as well.
I see Harry got a game ball last night….since KOC gives out about a dozen very game it is not that much of an accomplishment.
Surprisingly, only 2 went to defensive players.
Yeah, I saw that….Stupid.
(Mahomes was sacked for a 30 yard loss, the longest in NFL history)
QB A: 9 games, CMP% 69.2, YDS 2,328, AVG 7.9 YDS/G 258.7, TD 17, INT 7, QBR 61.0, RTG 101.9
QB B: 8 games, CMP% 69.5, YDS 1,900, AVG 8.5, YDS/G 237.5, TD 17, INT 7, QBR 58.3, RTG 107.8
i’ll take sam darnold for 10 million please and thank you
Kirk did look good yesterday, but he was also playing a depleted Cowboys defense.
So we essentially got the same guy for 1/6th the cost.
Really? I’m a Darnold fan and believe he has played very well. But Cousins has three late fourth quarter wins and an OT TD for a win. I’d say the ‘same’ if Sam can do that.
This isn’t a hard to figure out. Basically everyone would take Cousins over Darnold at the same price tag. We all know Kirk has been the better QB. But at this reduced cost… Darnold all darn day!
It really is that simple. There’s no logical argument against it. Yet it persists.
I must be dense I guess because it’s somewhat hard to me.
Say you have two hitters in baseball. both hit about same average overall. But one hit’s better in late innings when tied or behind.
That has value to me, not sure how much.
And as you know, from reading your many comments here, over simplifications can many times be misleading.
As it turns out these guys are more than just some numbers. If you are a GM right now and you could have Kirk or Sam (you have to take out the age variables and such). But you get either of them for 10 million. Who you picking. You will be fired if you pick Darnold.
Depends to me. And especially if I believe we can go the SB. If not it is clearly a no brainer as you suggest.
Darnold is younger, stronger, more mobile. but is a slower processor and does nor have the experience playing from behind late in games. And Kirk reads defenses and goes thru reads much faster.
Again are we SB now. It was pointed out by Bow below Sam makes a couple of brain farts a game. that’s a pretty big issue for deep playoff aspirations.
and I repeat, I’m a Sam fan and predicted he would have a great year.
What makes you think Kirk would get to a superbowl?
short on 4th & 8.
Kirk? Super Bowl? You mean, like actually playing in one vs. sitting in the bleachers?
I believe I said playoffs. Nonetheless, given your predisposition on this subject, best to drop the matter.
You mentioned SB in your post twice.
Not sure I’m following along properly.
Kirk doesn’t exactly have a stellar playoff resume’ either.
But like you say, I’m just a hater and incapable of applying logic I guess.
don’t believe I said you were a hater nor anything about your logic.
You could elaborate if you wish.
Given that you said this to JRo_42:
the JRo question was later below after our exchange. And JRo seems more balanced in his approach to these things.
Predisposition – really?
Thanks for your kind comment, btw! I try to be balanced and realistic and see fairness in situations.
And I appreciate your answers.
Cousins, would have a couple, what the hell was he thinking, plays a game as well. I’m not sure if I had to pick between the two at the same price, I would take Cousins.
Not exactly my point. In the world I cam from, you pay for experience. Believe Cousins is like second in the NFL over the last five years for late comebacks. I’m not sure Sam has any but maybe he does.
That simply has value.
You can say whatever you want about your opinion on this this. But in reality… If you had the option to have Kirk Cousins or Sam Darnold for 10 million a year and you chose Darnold you would be fired.
But isn’t that the point. At same price you would pick Cousins. But how much more is that worth – I don’t claim to know. Just that the value is probably larger if you have SB aspirations.
Anyway, it’s not quite as black/white to me as many suggest. but I’m not as sharp as I used to be.
I must have misunderstood. I thought the question was just who was better or who would you rather have. At their current rate it’s Darnold and it’s not close.
This is exactly right. Kirk is better, but for the price, Darnold is what we needed.
let me ask you something since I know you’re not a hater.
Have a friend, a die hard Niner fan.
Couple year’s back they were in SB and Jimmy G was QB. They were about to put Chiefs away, had a WR wide open for a TD and Jimmy missed the throw. they punted and then lost.
My friend claims he would have paid 50 mil at the time for Cousins or Stafford to make the throw.
Sometimes it’s worth paying the price.
You are using baseball and a friends comment as examples why Cousins is worth $50 + million a year? Thats…certainly a take.
No. try again. Maybe read and rethink some. I’d explain, and I thought you understood baseball, but not worth it .
Still, question wasn’t directed at you.
I understand baseball fine. You cant handle criticism fine. Your example of two players in a different sport with a different way of paying players and spending between teams is not relevant to QBs in the NFL with a spending cap in 2024. Edge presented a simple, accurate take and you played devils advocate with it and a lengthy metaphor including a friends comment about a 49ers team 5 years ago.
Darnold is better physically as a QB than Kirk. Kirk could also process KOCs offense faster than Darnold. Both things are true. With that in mind, is that extra processing ability worth the Cap hit and inability to sign other players and extend your stars? No. The answer is always no.
Would I take Kirk over Darnold at $10 million a year. Absolutely. Duh. Would that ever have a chance at happening? No, absolutely not. Is this Vikings team better with Sam at $10 million than they would have been with Kirk at $45-$50 million. Yes. Thats it. Thats the point that was made. No other rambling required.
Please spare me blather on stuff you know little about.
Did you even read what I said about Sam and his abilities.
And let’s not be politician with numbers. they could have signed Kirk last year at 37 for last, this and next. And aren’t we taking like a 25 mil hit this year. So it’s not exactly 10 versus 45.
And because something is beyond one’s ability to understand, doesn’t mean it’s ramblings.
Yeah, essentially it comes down to cost-benefit. Kirk is better, would definitely take him in that situation, but we’d likely not have other playmakers with his contract. It’s a financial decision mostly that makes Darnold the better choice for the current Vikings team.
Thanks. If I could ask (don’t understand cap). we are paying Sam 10 and taking like 25 hit for letting Kirk go. If we had signed him last year for 37 would we be given up that much at least this year?
Possibly not (at least this year), but I’m not a cap guy either. I would guess we probably wouldn’t have at least one of Van Ginkel, Greenard, or Cashman. But also have to consider future players in offseason as well, which I think is what KAM is trying to also do.
My original point was ‘we were all in on winning SB’ this year. And while I think and predicted Sam would play well this year. given Kirk’s experience, I’d prefer him in the SB if we were down like 10 points starting the fourth quarter.
I would agree with that.
And wouldn’t it be about 1/4th the cost?
Well, his current contract averages $45 mil per year, along with the $25 mil we are still paying him, it would be closer to 1/7th.
Can’t be.
Kirk was giving us a discount at $40+ million a year.
It was nice seeing them picking up a couple 3rd and 1s, on the ground, last night.
Bears looked horrible, Packers looked pedestrian, it may be a battle between Detroit and Minnesota for a few years.
This is probably just me, but it seems like any year where we have a good or really good team, there is always some other team that is exceptional. I have a bad feeling that this year will be the same. Detroit will probably be the team this year.
It’s not just you, and Detroit is really good, but division teams know each other pretty well. Our vikes can beat Detroit! The last game of the season could be for the division and possibly the number one seed in the NFC.
Don’t forget KC. KC is going to be an order of magnitude harder to beat.
Watching sports center this morning, and they keep talking about Dak’s injury. If I were Dallas, I’d be more concerned about Lamb. Rush has proven, he can win without Dak.
Glad Will missed those kicks….got that out of the way.
Yep, curse breaker. Not going to have the perfect up to now like 98 again. God intervened and made his quad sore or he would never miss.
Super nervous about Will Reichard’s injury. Hopefully we get some good news this week.
Definite quadriceps strain.
so it’s honestly starting to look like the refs are out to either get the vikings or sam darnold.
i have never seen a qb get punched in the face and continue to get sacked around his head/neck area and not get called a penalty…
also, what was with the 2 plays they said were auto replayed or whatever and we got a 1st down and didn’t get a 1st down, i have never seen that before…
idk, it’s all weird. lots of weird ref things going on
Definitely lots of weird ref things going on. After rewatching that play a few times I don’t understand why they picked up the flag, most other QBs in the league will get that call 10 out of 10 times. Not the Vikings QB, of course.
I have a feeling that the ref threw his flag instead of his turnover bean bag by mistake. Although, the flag should have come out.
That’s probable, yes. It’s getting a bit obvious though that Sam is nowhere near as well protected by the refs as other QBs.
I disagree. I think it was a “you better pick that flag up, I didn’t see it as a foul/we want that big play to stand” situation. NFL gets what the NFL wants.
The quick booth review is new this year. But I don’t think they can change penalties. However, one would think if the flag was thrown the booth ref should have the power to say, yes there is a foul.
As long as they let that go both ways I don’t have a problem with it. Stewart pulverized Bradbury? so quickly that he almost fell onto Darnold.
I was more upset with the third sack on the final drive celebration that led to too many men on the field penalty (stopping clock) and the DPI on that same drive, when the ball appeared to be tipped.
Refs are human.
Ingram tripped Bradbury on the play. I know it’s surprising and totally unbelievable, but it happened.
The human mistakes on questionable things aren’t the problem. It’s the “we missed a blatant call” or “we made up a call that didn’t happen” or threw the flag and picked it up because New York told us to, or “we reviewed it and against all obvious evidence, are making the wrong call” stuff that shows it’s rigged.
Victory Monday! Skol! FTP FTL
If not for two plays, we’d be singing Darnold’s praises this morning. I sure hope he figures that out and gets more decisive in the pocket.
Defense was awesome. Flacco looked uncomfortable for most of the game. Thankfully that fumble on their opening drive killed their momentum.
The one comforting thing about last night’s game was that we were the obvious better team against a .500 team.
We should still be singing Darnold’s praises. He’s never played this well in his NFL career.
That is not a very high bar.
True… but he is still playing pretty darn well.
Agree with NLNV….Darnold is having a really good year. We are fortunate to have him. I don’t mind the picks so much..KOC says he wants him to keep being agressive.
The tough part for me though is that the two picks yesterday were not necessarily about being aggressive. They were terrible decisions. Sam should have run it for a first down on the first one.
Keeping the interior pocket clean is imperative for him, otherwise he gets antsy/skittish. Need to upgrade the IOL.
Yeah, and Addison had a 50+ yard gain on the second one. Just a terrible miss there.
Those brain fart moments are what we always knew were coming. It will continue, but as long as he can limit them and play good enough the rest of the game, it can work.
Rather more ‘coach out’ the brain farts. Might be OK in season, but not so good come playoff time.
Can only coach him enough to limit them. His brain just seems to glitch. If you go too far, I fear you turn him into a robot and he is underrated in his ability to escape at times.
Of course not too far. But there have been a ton of young QB’s that made a lot of brain fart plays, and were coached to the point that they didn’t happen too often. Once every couple of games is OK, two or three a game is another matter.
Very impressive. Very cool.
Class guy.
That’s awesome. Sign him long term.
Yeah, the more I’ve learned about this guy, plus seeing him play, I can see why he was a fan favorite in Moldy Bay.
Hey, we won!
I zonked out in the second half, though.
Wild card is still in play. I don’t think we have a prayer of catching Detroit unless Goff goes down or something. Goff is Mr. Accuracy this year.
Fortunately over here in the MST world the game was ideally scheduled for me to watch in the evening. The game went by very quickly, I think it was done at 2110.
I wasn’t too into watching last night. Collinsworth really grates on me when he calls a game of a team you follow every day, which makes you realize he is just hitting standard talking points. I can stand him better when the Sunday night game doesn’t feature the Vikings.
I really liked Collinsworth when he first started, but it seems like the network turned him into a blathering blowhard.
Agreed, when he started, it seemed like he did his homework to know what he was talking about. Now, it’s just the same comments “insert name here”, over and over.
Everybody is the best player ever.
Yep. I stopped cutting deer about half time, relaxed for the second half and off to bed at a decent time.
What’d you get?
Nothing. My wife went out with a friend and got her first deer. I’ll share a pic when I can get it resized. Nice mainframe 4 x 5 whitetail with a kicker on both brow tines and a little nub on one side.
Nice!
Minnesotans would call it a 12 pointer. I’d call it a 4×5 with two cheaters.
I’m with Jackson. A turdy point buck.
It’s a tirty point buck.
6-2.
A trip to Jax up next.
Should be a win.
Should be.
Our defense looked so strong last night. Gonna win a lot of games behind defensive performances like that.

With baby interception goat, the Vikings should have about 4 interceptions.
First! To say wake up suckers
Well, two of us are awake… good morning.
Good morning, but you forgot,

Can trust you to get it right with the FTPs at the beginning of the thread.
Thank you.
its not Freezy’s fault, he’s rarely here this early.
Was he up early or was he here very late last night?
