Team is still like an episode of the Walking Dead with all the injuries. I am not sure what to expect tomorrow at the game. I am looking forward to the SKOL chant, since that was the best part of all my previous US Bank appearances. Somehow I expect Jake Browning to throw for 300+ yards and multiple TD’s. Time will tell if this team can turn it around. It would be nice to see some offense for a change. A win Sunday would be impressive and surprising for me.

I feel good about today – yeah, you read that right. I feel good. No reason why. Season feels like it’s about to go off the rails – but I think we get a win today. Darrisaw back, Hitman back. Again, no real reason to be optimistic, I just am.

President Trump just made it a lot more expensive for companies to hire foreign workers through the H-1B program. The White House announced Friday that Trump signed a proclamation requiring employers to pay a hefty $100,000 fee for new H-1B visa applications, an enormous jump from the current $215 lottery registration fee.
As an IT professional, this makes me so happy I cannot even begin to tell you.
Since starting in this field in the 90’s, I have seen companies abuse the H-1B program specifically to keep IT wages down, and hire cheaper talent out of college when they do hire vs contract. I have stayed a contractor most of my career, and never have I had an issue finding work. My issue is, that my bill rate/market value is very similar today vs 20 years ago, because of the influx of cheap “talent” from India.,
I really hope Cognizant, Accenture, etc, feel this in a big way. I also am happy because it means current and recent college grads with STEM degrees will now find the US job market much more inviting.
For me, I know that I have at least about 4 years of wage growth before the dems change course again for cheaper slave labor.

I have been angry about this issue since GW Bush did not cut back the program in 2000. He did put some limits in place. However, the left always opens the door wide open, and I see tech salaries drop accordingly.

I don’t know much about the program, but I agree that anybody as a “guest worker” needs to pay up.
I worked for one of those companies you mentioned. They would bring over cheap labor from India, pay them less than half what they had to pay an American, then farm then out to US companies as contract workers. Once the contract ended, they would ship them back to India

Nielsen data cited in the outlet’s report showed “Jimmy Kimmel Live’s” share of the key demographic of 18 to 49-year-olds declined from 0.68 in 2013-14 to 0.16 in 2024-25.
By comparison, The Late Show’s share of the 18-49 demographic was 0.18 in 2024-25, while “The Tonight Show’s” was 0.13 in that period.
Advertisers are leaving, revenue has been falling badly, and the three shows have been losing tens of millions of dollars a year for the last 5 years.

Bunch of good/decent college games today.
Starting with #17 Texas Tech vs #16 Utah. I like both teams so it is the opposite of a ‘Meteor Game’.
Then #22 Auburn vs #11 Oklahoma, #9 Illinois vs #19 Indiana (not sure I ever thought I would see both of them nationally ranked).
We also have #21 Michigan at 3-0 Nebraska, 3-0 Michigan St vs #25 USC and the Military Academys plus some other interesting regional games.
Ryan Kelly and Justin Skule are both listed as out along with McCarthy for tomorrow’s game. Darrisaw, Van Ginkel, and the Hitman were listed as full participants in practice yesterday, but I think it was a walkthrough. They are still showing as questionable for the game.
Wentz will be working with the backup center, and potentially a rookie guard and third string tackle on his left side.
I think Darrisaw is the key.
If he is a Go we have a decent chance I think. With him in we are down only 1 starter on the O-Line otherwise down two with the replacement being 3rd string.
Got to win, or at least tie in the trenches.

Bengals are not a stout defensive and they are playing without their elite QB. We simply need to go out and play a “good” football game on both sides of the ball.
I thought they had a great defensive end in Trey Hendrickson?
The Bengals are 24th in total defense (yards allowed per game) and 28th in passing yards allowed per game. They’re 10th in rushing yards allowed. They’re 16th in points allowed per game (21.5). They have accumulated only 3 sacks so far though. Hopefully they don’t have a big day against us.
Obviously this is all through just two games, so not much data to go on.
Believe so. If right side could be real problematic.
