Alright, June is here! I’ve been waiting for summer since not long after the end of last summer, almost there. Only a couple weeks until my trip to Duluth, I’m really looking forward to it.
Some Vikings news! The Vikings signed a WR yesterday, although it wasn’t the WR we all expected they’d sign yesterday.
There still aren’t many more details available on the Jeff Gladney tragedy, but here is a bit of an update from si.com. There were two people killed, Gladney and his girlfriend, but still no official confirmation on who was driving. Their car struck another car from behind, then they lost control and hit a concrete pier. The occupants of the other car were not injured. Gladney and his girlfriend also left a one-year old son behind, who will now go through life without his parents, which is heartbreaking. Here’s a piece from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram talking about how Gladney was in a good spot in his life after the struggles that resulted in his being released by the Vikings.
From CBS Sports, Deshaun Watson is facing ANOTHER lawsuit, bringing the total to 23. Innocent until proven guilty, I won’t judge the dude, but that can’t make the Browns feel any better about their decision to give up the farm to bring Watson to Cleveland.
Speaking of innocent until proven guilty, all charges against Jerry Jeudy have been dropped, per NFL.com.

I usually don’t dive into politics, but I have always felt that the fringe of both the far right and far left are equally dangerous. I also feel like that fringe used to be small, but has grown significantly in last decade.
Gone are the days that you were given the freedom to vote for your candidate based on your priorities. Now one is forced to pick a side, and be worried as hell that members of the other side don’t know which side you are on. To me, that is fucking sad.
Picking based on priorities used to be pretty straightforward, but now in order to do that you end up in bed with who knows who.
I agree with this take 100%. The middle to center of both parties make up 70%+ of the populous opinions on most issues that matter. Unfortunately we’re a nation falling victim to the minorities in both parties throwing tantrums and not allowing moderate politics to operate in the best interest of our people.
You’d be shocked to know I agree with more opinions here than I disagree with but we fan the flames on the hot button issues and argue about those the most.

Fun story for you ladies. I am driving down a major artery road by downtown Denver last month. 3 lanes wide, 30mph speed limit, zero people hardly cross it. Lights about every 100 yards. I stop at a light. The light turns green, no go. Finally they inch forward. I go to next light, stop. Light turns green, person in front of me is on phone, not paying attention. Next light, same thing. I speed around them and go to turn off, car in front of me is going 15 mph, person talking into phone via speaker. I’m get up close to that person. Cops lights come on. Doesn’t say shit except “that is careless driving”. Doesn’t tell me specifically what I did wrong. Can’t pay fine as it’s a mandatory court appearance. I go today at noon. I get there and they tell me it’s via phone. “So I didn’t need to come here?” Correct. I call in, wait for 90 minutes going through all the cases. 85% are illegals without insurance but we get to wait while the paid interpreter comes on to talk for them. They get ;lower fines being felon criminal invaders of course Bunch of other “careless” driving charges except almost all involved car crashes, lmao. All pled down to 2 pts and “operating a car in an unsafe manner”. Gives people who cired about being poor $50 fines (lowest he can go), gives super citizen taxpayer patriot Big 5 $100 fine plus $46 fees. There are your tax dollars at work….

I was driving West of Minneapolis on HW7, which don’t ever speed in the Minnetonka area. Driver in front of me was clearly drunk, look to the right, asshat is texting while driving. I have 2 kids in the car, so when I get an opening, I get around these two clowns. The second I speed up to get around I see a cop hiding to the side. Sure as shit, he pulls me over. I tried to explain to him the situation and that I only sped up to get away from a dangerous situation. His dumbass response “you should have called the police”.
I called the police over a guy driving down 101 from Elk River to Rogers about a year ago, who thought it was ok to weave back and forth in both lanes while texting, while speeding up and slowing down from 20 to 55 and back again. Couldn’t get around him to do the speed limit of 65 without driving on the shoulder.
Dispatcher was about as uninterested in taking my call as I am in eating kale.
That’s a perfect example of what I’m talking about, perfect. Basically he is saying “I don’t gaf and you, the hard working responsible citizen is getting a ticket”

Depends on the length of time power is out. Main things are the radiant floor heat pump and the well. Then you start looking at fridge and freezers. All the lights are LED, so yeah our main power suckers are the freezers, microwave, dryer.

Their oline improved drastically because they signed an all pro LT that offseason. Also, the comparison to McVay isn’t even remotely valid. McVay was an OC who actually called plays for 3 years before becoming HC. KOC called plays for half a season in Washington and they sucked, that’s the extent of his experience, but please tell me more about how great KOC is and how he’ll easily lead the team to 11 wins or more based on the zero evidence that suggests it will happen.

Its a poo poo platter of rookie playcaller (which is pretty much what KOC is), bad oline play, Kirk getting rattled, zimmerball, and undisciplined play. I’m not entirely sure how much of that will be different this season, we’ll have to wait and see, hopefully its better.

Actually the Vikings have a decent slot WR in KJ Osborn who had 50 catches for 655 and 7 TDs last year. What they do not have is a decent slot CB. I was wrong about him.
