A big reason gas prices are up is because companies cut refinery capacity in 2020 *under the last administration.* US refinery capacity went down by 800,000 barrels/day that year. Refiners are now making bigger margins, raising prices at the pump.
The second big reason gas prices are up is Putin’s actions in Ukraine and the global response raising oil prices. Pump prices are up more than $1.60 since then. Congressional response had the backing of Republicans.
What about domestic production? In Biden’s first year, we produced more crude oil than in the first two years of the last administration. We’re projected to reach a record high as early as next summer. Data below.

There are folks out there who think since KOC came from the Rams, and is a disciple of Sean McVay, the Vikings offense will pretty much automatically be a top five unit in the league.
Here’s the thing. Last year the Rams O-line ended up ranked by PFF as the 7th best O-line in the league and about halfway through the season, they ranked in the top three. The Vikings finished 23rd overall and 26th in pass blocking. That’s a massive difference. We had great skill position players last year and they’ll be the same guys (plus Irv Smith) this year. They made the offense potent for sure, but not top 5 potent. While a new scheme can make the offense more dangerous, in my opinion unless the O-line makes a quantum leap in their performance, the offense won’t get into the top 5 in the league in yards or scoring. I just don’t see it happening.

Mom and Dad’s first car after marriage was a 67 Mustang and basically can just run through the years a number of Ford products up to the point my mom drove an Escape through the side of the senior citizen centre and put an end to the Ford buying days of my parents.

Dad told a couple of amusing stories about the Mustang and me as a baby. No car seats of course in those days. Driving in his relentless fashion on vacation on the Autobahn while my mother changed diapers in that miniscule back seat (mom is 5’11”). Hitting an icy patch of secondary road in Germany and spinning about a half dozen times ending with me lying contentedly in the rear foot well. Another time going through the Rathole in Edmonton at speed with the windows rolled down with just him and I in the car, and after launching six feet in the air suddenly realizing the back seat was very quiet and glancing back and not seeing me swaddled on the back seat (again I was down in the footwell).

That’s the future 45×66 shop (the components of the shop are scattered in the knee high grass waiting for the erector crew as they call themselves to show up and assemble). Was initially going to go with bare bones but now am thinking I” have it spray foamed, throw in a couple of NG fired radiant heaters, hook up a faucet, etc…The power drop/120 V transformer is just off frame to the right and the NG line and water line runs next to it so pretty easy to run that to the shop. That would also be where I put the backup generator should we decide to get one.

If only I could snap a pic that would do justice to how we are living now. Remember the shouse was designed to hold a couple of toys and as a place to stay on weekend visits and such.
The 20×40 studio is all one room with the exception of a separate bathroom. You would be amazed how often one’s wife is using the bathroom to get ready to go out, getting ready for bed, etc when nature calls for the man of the house. I’m surprised I don’t have piles.
We have a 19 1/2′ RV, sedan, SUV, and pickup parked in the shop as they would be fine hail fodder, with the older pickups sitting outside as you can see. That is in addition to my workbenches and skads of tools and I still have a crapload of tools in the shipping container out front that I can’t get to until I have room to empty it. Then I have a boat and SCUT sitting outside in addition to the side by side and riding mower. Basically I am a car whore and need a place to put my crap.
In addition, I have a loft/mezzanine in the shop that acts as my office and our clothes closet, freezers and shelves of food storage. The 5 1/2′ ceiling gives me fits.
We could put a loft in the studio (22′ ceiling at center) but I like it being open. We are getting an addition built for the master suite and office hopefully by end of the year.

Kim Jong-un thinks Biden is incapable of leading a military effort against his country and openly jokes about him. He was joyful when Trump lost the election because he truly feared Trump. He is not happy at all that his puppy dog President has been voted out, and a new harder line President has been voted in. The missile launches and military activities are meant to threaten the South Korean populace and make them think taking a hard line with North Korea is a mistake.
NK took full advantage of Trumps continued PR campaign of self promotion. Kim Jong-un made him look like a fool by meeting with him and then going back on all the false promises made.
