Well, the Vikings were not able to post their first preseason win as they fell to the Broncos 23-13 on Saturday. I have some notes put together, which I’ll likely post later today. I’ll elaborate more on the game in there. Seeing Bisi Johnson go down & hearing it may be his other ACL was heartbreaking news, the kid worked his butt off to come back from last year’s preseason injury. We’ll try to keep you updated on roster moves as they happen, but until then, y’all have at it in the comments, and remember, be cool to one another.

There’s usually one game per season with the officiating crew doesn’t coddle them and they get called on it. Its glorious too because their O line and Rodgers immediately start throwing a hissy fit, throwing their hands in the air. If I recall last year when they were in the bank the crews were calling their center on his head movement on the snap. Its part of how they get teams to jump but its bull shit and they got called
2012-2019 they didn’t have a single game where they didn’t hold a minimum of a dozen times and not get called.

When I graduated grad school back in the stone age, I lost a million jobs to women. That was before companies quit telling you why you didn’t get hired. Everything was a quota in the 80’s and I wasn’t on that happy train.

It’s interesting how people define “crispy”. To my wife and her family it means cooked to the point it literally falls apart and turns into almost dust when your grab or bite it. Personally I like bacon with both chewy and crisp parts on the same slice if I’m just eating it plain, best of both worlds, though it does depend on the use, like for sandwiches I like all crispy, but for chili I like chewy.
Bacon chili? 5 pounds of bacon and a can of diced tomatoes, diced onion, diced habanero and Tbs of chili powder
Has to have some chew, a little fat but not a lot. I often trim the fat before frying.
I buy thick cut. I often have to look thru 20 packages to find one acceptable. Some of the shit they try and sell is 90% fat.
I don’t like the “extra crispy”, “dust”, version either, but I don’t eat chewy bacon at all. Golden brown to where if you break it, it “snaps”.

Dog started growling at 3:30 am, shushed him but he kept burbling for a while. Should have known it was the “spray foam guy” showing up to start his day in the cool darkness. He’s a great guy, love visiting with him, says his arms can do about one batch (of solvent) a day which works out to about a quarter of our shop.
Seems like it would be good work if you can get it. He did it for seven years in Bozeman before moving to God’s country, and the (now uber wealthy) rancher and businessman he was working for asked if he would be interested in doing spray foam in the winters. He worked for him until he could afford to buy the equipment from him, goes all over the eastern part of the state and western ND.
The heat would be a drawback. Hence pulling all nighters, etc…
