Vikings Cut T.Y. McGill, Expect to Place Bisi Johnson on IR

The Vikings made a couple of roster moves today, details from Chris Tommason below. One was expected, the other may come as a surprise. The team expects to move Bisi Johnson to injured reserve, which makes sense after his injury in Saturday’s game. The move that may surprise some is that the Vikings also released DT T.Y. McGill. McGill has had a fantastic training camp, by most accounts, but the journeyman DL will be looking for ANOTHER new team as of today.

One of two things:

  • He’s a vet going against noobs so it can be fleeting in some cases. KOC sniffed that out
  • His injury worse than thought
