BPA in the draft. If there’s a center that’s drafted above where you have a chance to take him, they draft him. Worst case you have improved your depth. Best case you have an opportunity to upgrade at center, trade Bradbury and gets something in return.

I’m sure you remember my long story about importing the Ranger from Canada. As a result, the speedometer is in km (with little hard to read mph on the inner side of the speedo) as is the odometer. I did the State Farm drive safe and save app and it would go nuts every two weeks asking me to submit my odometer reading and saying that the miles I entered did not match their beacon, even though I dutifully changed the default distance measure to kilometers.
I finally told them to take their discount and stuff it. Cost me $100 a year, hence why I no longer drink whiskey.

Why do you want to do that? Oil changes are one of those chores that is far easier and cheaper for a mechanic to do.
It’s quicker for me to do it myself and I’ve had the dumb dumbs at the shops mess it up too many times (filter too tight, didn’t change the filter, plug way too tight). Plus, my kids are getting old enough to start learning some of those life skills.
When I used to change the oil myself I used Royal Purple, now I just take it to the valvoline down the street from my house and have them do it, have them use a full synthetic.
That’s what I did last time, just took it in. I do enjoy changing my own oil.
I used to change my own oil, brake pads, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. I don’t have time for all that anymore though so I take my pickup in for everything, plus I did the math the last time I changed my oil and I only saved like $10.

I’ve started eating a lot more pork once beef prices went up so high, and it’s been working well for me. I’m basically chicken, beef, pork, some fish, potatoes, beans, eggs, corn, bread, oatmeal, berries, kale, tomatoes, broccoli, brussell sprouts and whole milk. I find those milk substitutes terrible. Oat milk. Almond milk. Blech. Others love them, though. I don’t really drink milk, but I use it for cereal and baking.

I would have a hard time changing from low carb since I am 59 and the doc first brought up statins and blood pressure meds 5 years ago. I told him I wanted to try to fix things with lifestyle and he gave me time. Monitored every 60 days for a year. Steady drop in blood pressure (yes, that aligned with losing a bit of fat) and cholesterol ratios are also better.
I splurge on holidays and sometimes birthday celebrations, but staying low carb has improved a lot of things for me.
Still no medications, other than the occasional 3.2 MN nice gummy.

The Vikings’ Biggest Improvement This Year Isn’t What You’d Expect
–Coming into Sunday’s contest against the Chicago Bears, the Vikings are first in the NFL in penalty yards with only 95.
-The Vikings are unsurprisingly also tied for second in the NFL in total penalties with 16.
That’s a stark contrast from last season when flags flew more than Delta Airlines, and they ranked 29th in penalty yards and 23rd in total penalties. How, then, were they so undisciplined under Mike “Ironfist” Zimmer, yet the team runs like a well-oiled machine under happy-go-lucky KOC?
-O’Connell comes from the Los Angeles Rams, a highly disciplined team that ranked second last year in penalty yards. He knows what it takes to keep the penalties to a minimum.
The lack of offensive holding calls has been one vast improvement. Last season, the Vikings were 31st in the league with 26. Through four games this year, they are the only team left not to be flagged for a single one.
-The Vikings are averaging the same number of offensive plays per game as last year, so it isn’t like there have been fewer opportunities to be flagged.
-The Vikings are members of another zero-penalty club this year, and it’s defensive pass interference. Only six other teams haven’t committed one, either.
(let’s get all the jokes out of the way first. Ahem, “It’s hard to commit DPI when you’re eight yards from the receiver every play.” Or, “You can’t hold a guy after he burned you for a touchdown.”)
–Minnesota is allowing a pretty terrible 70% completion rate this year, good for 30th in the NFL. They are also 25th in yards after the catch allowed.
-Ed Donatell defense has its advantages. Obviously, penalties are way down with less man coverage and more zone. Also, big plays are reduced with the safety shell the Vikings employ. There’s a lot of give-and-take with the new scheme. The drastic reduction in defensive penalties highlights that, but Minnesota has also allowed an uptick in completions and yards after the catch. As long as the Vikings can continue to mitigate those bad penalties on defense, there seems to be a world where this defense works and allows the team to win close games. That’s nothing to scoff at and hasn’t been the case the last few seasons.
The argument against Donatell’s defense I would make is….until you face a team with a multi faceted offense that can beat you running, passing and with the QB running (Philly) who also has a stout defense that limits your offensive production, chances are they’ll score enough with your bend don’t break safe defense and keep you offensively from ever getting close enough to outscore them.
Donatell needs to alter something when he faces those type of teams, can’t sit back and let them shred you and posses the ball. I would assume maximum pressure on the QB and try and limit his time in the pocket and hopefully force some mistakes.

Yeah this plan by KOC and Donatell requires offensive production. That was where all my frustration was Sunday.. quit fucking running Cook on 1st down, pass to run instead, keep the tempo no huddle stuff and dictate terms to the defenses. Kirk can do that he’s excellent in 2 min hurry up offenses.
Right. Doing what you’re doing they’ll beat you. So you are going to have to take a chance and get aggressive even if that gets you burnt because if you don’t you lose anyway. It’s like being down on the cards in a late round fight and you fight conservative… you’re only chance is to swing for the fences even if it gets you KOed in the process.
I will add that 10 10-yard completions are just as effective as 2 50-yard completions, and it keeps the ball out of our hands much longer.

It’s clearly analytics driving this defense. Again it works and I like it against teams that aren’t stacked on defense and offense, like the Saints. But against teams like the Bills or Eagles you won’t as you pointed out posses enough times on offense to score enough against a good defense to win.
If you’re right (big if, but fun to entertain the possibility), then the Vikings are primed to beat enough mediocre teams to squeak into the playoffs and get pummeled in embarrassing fashion.
Not my idea of a successful season.

I just compared his start this year with last year, didn’t look at other seasons but his start this year is much different than last year, especially completion % and int %.
Based on Kirk’s “production” this year compared to last Klint is a better playcaller than KOC.

Nah, half way point. By then you’ve played some good and some bad teams and have had a good run of officiating crews.
This makes some sense. Although I dislike the defensive approach, it does seem to be what they’re doing. I hate seeing zero pressure on the QB. This approach requires getting pressure with your front 4 (like we used to when we had Jared & the Williams Wall), and we aren’t getting jack shit for pressure right now.
