Requesting some serious opinions.
I saw Surly’s “FTP” comment below (thank you Surly…keep the faith!) and this got me thinking. Most of us hate the team just east of the VIkings. In fact, next year, wifey and I may go to the NYG vs GB game in New Jersey, because she loves the Giants & I hate the Packers.
But I have a hypothesis. I think most of us hate the team to the east of the Vikings mainly because of Rodgers. The guy is a major &$^$. I used to “tolerate” the Packers in the ’90s, mainly because Farve was kind of cool. Then came Rodgers, and Clay Matthews (who was a dirty player) and my disdain for them grew.
Do most people hate the team to the east o the Vikings mainly due to the attitude of their QB, or are there other reasons?
I’ll always hate them. Their older fans are okay, but the younger fans are insufferable jackasses.
100% agree. Any Packer fan under 40 really only remembers a good team. They’re too young or weren’t born for the bad times.
It’s the entitled younger fans who don’t remember the shitty teams of the 70s through 90s and act like they Packers are the greatest team to grace a football field.
Eff them.
Yes.
I don’t like Packer fans. Too many are smug, entitled dipshits.
Rogers helped foster this attitude, and it has spread to sports media too.
Just look how the media treated a 8-8 Packers team compared to a 13-4 Vikings team.
We’re frauds. Packer fans were acting like they were already in the playoffs.
It’s disgusting. I’m sure Detroit and Chicago agree
mornin’ all!

Good morning Rob! Hope this place will get a little more traffic in time
It will take time, the DN didn’t really blow up in terms of numbers until the stadium debate and Favre signing in 2009, they were 3 years into the SB Nation blogosphere by then.
