Brian Flores
Well, big news out of Vikings camp late yesterday, as the Vikings hired Brian Flores to be their next defensive coordinator. This is a huge win by the front office, in my opinion. Flores is one of the best, if not the best, defensive coordinator available this off-season. Great job by Kwesi-Adofo-Mensah and Kevin O’Connell in getting Flores to sign here. The wait is over, and we got our guy. As a Vikings fan, I have to think there’s a lot of reason to be happy with this hire.
Now the hard part comes, tearing down and rebuilding the majority of a once-stout defense that has gotten old and ineffective. I know the change at defensive coordinator will make a difference, but the Vikings are also going to need to make many personnel changes along with this coaching hire if they want to field a competent defense in 2023. There are bad contracts to shed, aging players to replace with youth, and an entirely new attitude needed on our defense. The team got one of those three done yesterday, now it’s time to address the other two.

took my family to the como zoo here, when they were recommending masks, even though 75% is outdoor.
we didn’t wear masks, shocker, and we were approached time and time again by a zoo worker saying they recommend them be worn, and we kept saying it’s sunny and nice outside, and not close to anyone, so we are ok.
then she told us we should mask up for the animals sake. my wife touched my arm as she knew i was about to blow a gasket. i asked what animals, the giraffe that was 45 yards away from me? and she said yes. i asked her what the covid 19 deathrate in giraffes was, she said to her knowledge, zero YET and i said please ma’am this is the dumbest thing i have heard in possibly ever, so please go away….

Lots of people going to other countries for therapy using hallucinogens. They’re actually having a lot of success treating some forms of mental illness, especially depression. They had a 67% success rate in helping people quit smoking using psilocybin. They did a lot of testing with in the 50s and 60s, and had a ton of success, but then with the war on drugs in 1970, all testing ceased. They’ve just recently begun using it again. You make the vanilla ice cream the night before on the stove, then let it chill in the fridge overnight. The next day, dump it in the ice cream machine (time will vary by machine), mix it, then add the peanut butter cups & put the chocolate in right at the end just before you shut off the machine.
Put it in the freezer & let it chill overnight. The next day, you’ll have the smoothest & creamiest ice cream you can imagine.

I liked some of his earlier stuff that was closer to traditional, his first album had a cover of Mo Bandy’s Nobody Gets Off In This Town that I enjoyed, I also liked Everytime That It Rains and a couple others, he got more and more like pop as time went on, and later produced shit songs like Fever, Two Pina Coladas, etc. that really turned off. Still like some of his old stuff though.
Girth’s first album was pretty good, I’ll admit that, even really good. Everything after that is a steamy pile of commercialized donkey shit.

Flores runs a lot of 0 coverage or single high safety with lots of dudes crowding the LOS. Harry has def lost a step but he’s always excelled as an in the box safety. I think he’ll have more sacks/tackles for loss than picks/passes defenses this year. That said, he’s not worth that contract at this point. Hopefully a renegotiation coming soon.
