Random Thoughts

Merry Christmas, everyone! It’s a beautiful day today, and hopefully we take time to understand what we’re celebrating today (hint: it’s not santa and presents). I hope you are able to spend time with family and enjoy the day together. We’re having a relaxing time in Billings, I’m glad her parents live up in the hills, it’s quiet here. We went into Billings yesterday, it was NOT quiet there. I’m not a fan of football on non-Sundays, but when my team’s playing, I’ve gotta watch, Pavlov’s dog.

We come to Billings every year for Christmas, as this is where my wife’s family lives, so kiddo and I started an annual tradition when he was a wee young lad, and we’ve done it every year since (except for one year when a winter storm kept us at home). There’s a little shop called Yellowstone Coffee and Canvas, just off the Johnson Lane exit (exit 452 on I-94) on Old Hardin Road. They have good coffee, very nice people, and you can buy ceramics or a canvas and paint it right there in the store. We come here every year, spend a couple hours drinking non-adult beverages and having fun together. Here we are with our most recent creations.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough, the owners and staff are really nice folks, and they have coffee, tea, and snacks. I know there are several of our members in the Billings area, so if you’re looking for a good stop on the west end, or if you’re looking for something different to do with the kiddos, stop in & check it out. Vikings vs. Lions Discussion

A big game for the Vikings today. They’re riding a 3-game winning streak, and making it four in a row against a team like the Lions would be a huge momentum boost for the Vikings. Max Brosmer will get the start for the Vikings, so expectations are fairly tempered for most fans. Hopefully KOC’s simplified offensive approach will give Brosmer better odds for success. The Vikings defense will have to be ready to carry the day for Minnesota. SKOL!!!!!!!
