One of the light bulbs on her vanity in the Master bath burned out this week. Also going to change out the HVAC filters. We’re doing lunch somewhere today, not sure where. It’s sunny and 76 degrees headed to a high of around 85.

Not probably, Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL. But they didn’t just give up a 3rd, they gave up pick #27, their 1st the next year, and the 3rd. Based on that Value the Vikings could probably trade 23, next years 1st, and a 3rd to get to 7 maybe 6.

On Gutfeld last night the topic of NFL films getting sued by ex-employee who revealed the existence of restricted vault of film deemed sensitive for release with contents like “fans with big boobs”, “cheerleader breasts”, etc. I don’t know why you would keep such a vault.

They explained that the NFL never deletes any film they have. So they sort and label it per content and insure some of it is label as inappropriate for release.

Yeah, we certainly aren’t going to get a premium for anyone, but you can shed contracts and recoup some draft capital. They need to get younger, anyway, especially on defense.
I’d usually agree but the thing that gets me. Is when push came to shove and we really needed the defense to step up, many times they did. Tells me the players are capable. The Coaching needed to start having more urgency throughout the game.

My heart rate pretty much stays in the 50s all day long, unless I’m running or lifting.
GF, you know darn good and well the draft is very hit and miss, with a lot of miss. RGIII was considered by many to be the best QB in the draft. Lots of top QB’s have not panned out though. That list is pretty long. So while I used that horrible deal as an example why you don’t sell out on a draft pick, there are many more examples.
I was actually never very high on RGIII because I felt he would be injured at some point, and wasn’t a good enough QB mentally to transcend from a running QB to a pocket QB. The Redskins were idiots for giving up that much to draft him.
The case could be made that if Shanatan hadn’t left RGIII in that playoff game & shredded his knee completely, everything would’ve turned out differently. I think he’d have eventually fizzled out anyway.
RGIII didn’t want to come out and told Shanahan he could play. I think Griffin was afraid Cousins would come in and win the game. Saying Shanhan should have pulled him I think is a toss up. Player says they can go (remember Doug Williams telling Joe Gibbs he could go after spraining his knee in the Super Bowl?) So yeah. As to RGIII ever being a good NFL QB, I don’t think he had the goods in the end.

Yeah, and you have to be smart about moving up. The Bears were not smart when they moved up for Fields…..and Turdbuscuit. Those guys are not worth sacrificing picks for. If someone like Mahomes comes up, you certainly make the move.
The trick is evaluating the talent & knowing who to move up for. The Bears had buffoons at the helm, hopefully we don’t.

I’ve always thought of Alex Smith and Kirk Cousins to be about the same level of quality QB. Both are very good, but seem to be missing that special gift to bring home a Super Bowl.
He’s teriffied of young promising rookies that could actually take us to a bowl. By his logic, Chiefs shouldnt have drafted Mahomes, Bengals, Burrow, etc. etc.
No and stop with the prognostication on my character. Those teams didn’t sell the farm to get their QB’s. They had the pick, and the player was available. Keep in mind that one knee injury in training camp or preseason and your “can’t miss” player you sold out on is lost for the season. Especially if you want a running QB. Always be practical and prudent.

Agreed. And the best way to load up in both trenches is not have a QB (or any position) taking up a certain percentage of the cap and more than they are worth. Theres a balance here, and a ying and yang that needs to take place and right now the Vikes are not balanced.

Going rate for above average not elite QBs is a 1+, Carson Palmer, Sam Bradford trades set at least some semblance of precedence, though Kirk is a bit older than they were he did not come with baggage or injury history.
There is NO WAY the 49ers make that trade…if they were willing to of course we should do it.

More man defense in the secondary as opposed to zone, Kendricks was very good in a man defense against TEs and RBs in passing coverage.

We’ll see what happens with the roster moving forward. I was kind of on the fence with the Cine pick last year (and Booth to be honest). Cine on paper looks like he could be a great player at 6’2″, 200 lbs, and running a 4.37 forty. That said the narrative on him was he “could eventually become an average starter”.
A player with that size and speed in the defense should be a great asset I’d think. Maybe Flores can get him going.
