There is more and more chatter on Twitter and elsewhere suggesting that the Vikings may actually be in the hunt for Lamar Jackson. Man, if that were to happen, I’m going to have a very tough time convincing myself that it was a good decision. It just seems like a bad decision to exhange one overpaid QB for another, but I guess at least Lamar has performed at an NFL MVP level before. My gut tells me that all of this talk is just that: talk. Time will tell, but my guess is that the Vikings will roll into the 2023 season with Kirk under center, and possibly a rookie QB sitting behind him waiting to take over in 2024. That’s just my guess.
Oh, by the way, here’s a cool little fact for those of you who are nerdy like me. All of the dates from Sunday (March 20) through next Wednesday, are palindrome dates. So, 3 20 2023 written backwards is 3 20 2023, and it continues to follow that pattern through 3/29. Cool, huh? I sure thought so.

Moss made bad throws look like easy catches. I remember every QB under throwing to him, but there usually wasn’t anyone around him so it didn’t hurt.
This is correct and probably my bias.
I just feel like those deep throws kirk is usually putting too much or too little on it.
they’re tough throws for sure…but I don’t think he gets them consistently.

Norseman and Skolfer on that recipe from yesterday on the Chicken, sorry I didn’t get a chance to get back to you. It is the bigger Pineapple Juice. Like 46 ounces. Pineapple is the base. Pineapple is one of the only marinades that actually makes meat more tender, it actually breaks down proteins. The soy is to add some salt and umami depth but what you really taste are those sugars from the pineapple caramelized and then the added depth of the other flavors.

You want it submerged. Isn’t 46 ounces the regular bigger tin can we are all use to? That would be for a lot of chicken though. So adjust accordingly. I’ve messed with ratios and almost always add more garlic lol. But always ends up good.

It’s oddly not too sweet. You just catch some of that sweet flavor mixed with grill char. It’s great.
I’ve had jerk chicken, it’s not bad. I just typically don’t like sweet flavors unless I’m in the right mood for it.
That’s not jerk chicken the recipe I was sharing and typically jerk chicken isn’t that sweet. Should be very spicy.
I remember spicy and sweet. Pineapple juice = sweet. I don’t even typically like teriyaki sauce. I might be getting something mixed up or whatever I remember eating was merely called jerk chicken.
Yeah some do more of a island marinade that is sweeter but in my experience which could just be different experience when people make just jerk chicken it’s more about the spicy. Now when I make my pulled pork its a straight up mix of jerk and pineapple.

All you need. Key to jerky with any meat is marinade and slice half frozen for even cuts.

Hey MT, is there any OTC plantar’s wart treatments that are effective? I know this is antithetical to the gouger philosophy of, you know, gouging, but I don’t want to pay a copay for something I can fix myself with a trip to the pharmacy.

Absolutely. Salicylic acid (Compound W) is about as effective as cryotherapy. Pare the skin down around the wart (soaking in water for about five minutes before paring), then apply the liquid or gel. If you soak a little pad in the salicylic acid and then stick it on with duct tape you can leave it for 48 hours. Pare about once every two weeks. I wouldn’t go over about 3 months without consulting a clinician if it persists.
I actually just got some of that yesterday (generic brand of course) and tried it last night. Is it a problem if I pared not just the area around it but also the wart itself before applying it? I’ll try with duct tape next time.

With Kirk’s durability and knowing a typical backup isn’t going to be as good they should be using that spot to develop a couple of young guys. Always look to the future and keep your options open. Kirk could take a career ending injury and then you are left with Mullens, that’s it.
If Kirk goes down for the year would you rather watch a young guy and maybe find out we have the next Mahomes or watch Mullens for the year?

Yes, same with Smith’s restructure. However it appears Smith restructuring is being a good teammate, but Cousins isn’t.
The deal he worked out (restructure) does reduce his cash this year, but doubles it next year and he still has $34M guaranteed regardless.

I don’t think he took a pay cut. Yes he’s taking a base salary reduction this year, but that doubles next year to make up for it. It’s a restructure if I’m reading the numbers correctly.
