CBS Sports ranks every NFL QB who threw a pass in 2022. They have Cousins at #9, which I feel is pretty accurate.
ESPN looks at 2023 NFL offseason questions for each team. They list Kirk as our biggest off-season question. I’m actually more curious to see which moves the Vikings make on the defensive side of the ball. If the Vikings don’t take a QB high in the draft, then we’ll know that Kirk will get an extension.

Extending Cousins while getting creative with his dead cap hit in future years can free up around $15 million on this year’s cap, meaning KAM can add a player or three on defense. Regardless of your Cousins opinion, this should be of interest to you.
Why? Minnesota ranked 27th in the league via defensive DVOA in 2022, so that side of the ball needs support. Recommitting to Cousins is an avenue to free up 2023 funds.

We bought this super hot sauce in Glendive of all places, I don’t know if Blair’s After Death Sauce comes in different strengths but it had a skull on it and the proprietor of the store advised against buying it. It was extremely hot, like I could put a couple of drops of Tabasco on my tongue no problem but this stuff was killer, the most I could do was one drop in a bowl of chili.
My wife was dusting the spice cabinet and the sauce tumbled out and broke on the tile floor (I was at work). She grabbed the dogs and put them out before they started trying to lick it and as she came back into the kitchen the pungent cloud was bad enough it made her eyes water and she had to take breaks cleaning it up.
I’d imagine a spray of that in the eyes would ruin your day.
We had a bottle of Ghost Pepper Sauce at work that people liked to challenge others with trying (hint they never won).
It got dropped in the office one day and is smelled/acted just like the Pepper Spray we carried to subdue violent inmates with.

Cool down the car on a hot day? My Vulva has some setting where it will open the sunroof and run the cabin fan on high at a set time or via the phone app. Called preconditioning or some such.
That may be it, it gets up in the 110-115 degrees here in the summer.
I find it easier just to roll down a window but the Lady of the house doesn’t agree.
I rarely turn on the A/C in my pickup. I open the window or sunroof, I love the fresh air. If the fam is riding along, I’ll turn it on because they like having it on.
I do not like to perspire when I drive so I like the AC on.

I have a problem with a small cap fund that is set up S-corpish. The fund manager, a friend of my stepson’s, is very bright, set up the fund out of college (business degree from Notre Dame) and lives in Chicago. Given the structure the capital gains and dividends come right back to you. Well, since 2016 870% return and the tax man cometh year after year. You either suck it up and keep escalating the quarterly payments, sell a portion of the fund to pay the tax bill, or sell the position. The old “my private fund is outperforming the market so well the taxes are killing me” paradigm.

I did eliminate my bond fund position on the non retirement side of things. The fund was down and the dividends being treated as ordinary income were killing me. Pushed that over to the retirement side of things.

It would make zero sense for Russia to have sabotaged their own pipeline. They already controlled it and had shut the gas off. They would quite possibly now be in a position to sell gas to desperate European countries at an elevated rate. At the very least when this conflict is over they would want to reactivate the pipeline and make money. There is zero upside for Russia to have the pipeline destroyed. Open your eyes. The only people that benefit are the US and UK.

Biden said the US would never allow Nord Stream to become operational, while Scholz sat there watching and grinning like the good little puppet he is.
Demonstrations started in Germany in the beginning of winter to open Nord Stream to secure gas for the people. Those of course stopped after the US (helped by Norway, as it looks like, and likely other NATO fuckwads) blew up the pipelines.
What sense does it make for Russia to blow up their own pipeline when all they had to do was to control the switch, which they did?
Deny it all you want Lifer, it looks very much like the US had those pipelines destroyed, our of geopolitical interest. Coincidentally, the (German) owner of the company that was responsible for maintenance of those pipelines died in a plane crash a few weeks before they were blown up, along with his whole family.

I like this draft as it would allow us to release Kendricks and pick up two dynamic rookie LB’s both who cover space well and Sanders is probably the best pass rushing LB in this class and would fit in Flores 3-4 perfectly. 3 CB’s picked would really boost our corner secondary room and maybe allow for Harry to move on and save cap if the safeties don’t have to coverup the lack of corner quality play we’ve had.
I think Hyatt is the sneaky most needed rookie in this draft we need KAM to make his #1 priority day 2. I think he can bring what Moss brought in 98 as a deep field threat and would mesh perfectly with Cousins excellent deep passing and JJ’s / KJ / Hock would feast underneath and in the intermediate zones with Hyatt stretching the field.
An excellent center and guard prospect and we have some tools to build a competitive 23 squad.

Minnesota will have some difficult decisions to make ahead of the start of NFL free agency. Kirk Cousins’ $36.29 million cap number for 2023 is an albatross. It’s highly unlikely that the Vikings will restructure said deal and link themselves to Cousins beyond the 2023 campaign.
Instead, we can envision a scenario in which veterans Adam Thielen, Harrison Smith, Za’Darius Smith and Eric Kendricks are released here soon. Cutting the four would save north of $34 million against the cap. If they were designated post-June 1 cuts, said savings would increase to $52 million.
Yeah….this take reads like either an outsider without the particulars and true scenarios going on in the building at TCO, or a Cousins hater. Probably the prior.
Yes the Vikings are -$21 in the hole but that’s not from Cousins contract being an albatross, he ranks 9th in QB comp for 2023 only $2mill more than Goff lol. It’s more Rick and the previous regime’s monkey football fucking that is the issue.
Those like us here, brilliant, informed, good looking and sex masters of the female erotic zones know Cousins is getting extended and deservedly so. He’s proven his level of play is top 5 in the league vs salary (Rodgers is #1 in 23 cap hit and Cousins has outplayed him for the past 2 yrs IMO certainly did last yr). That will likely put $15-$20 mill back in to the cap for 23.
From there we’ll probably see a combo of releases and restructures. I could see Kendricks, Zadarius, and Harry staying, Thielen and possibly Cook leaving. All said should be able to get us around $35 mill above the cap and let Flores go shopping for some pieces to fix this defense.
Personally, my guess is that only Kendricks is gone of the starters. Most will redo deals for the 15th straight competitive rebuild.
I think we’ll see a few guys hit the road, the Vikings need to get younger on defense.
