Man, very little news out there. Lots of mock drafts, a ton of speculation and conjecture, and very little else. Nothing of substance, anyway. All this waiting, then there’ll be a one-day explosion when something big happens, such as Lamar finding a team or the Jets FINALLY getting a deal done for Aaron Rodgers. The teachers and staff executed the plan flawlessly and saved dozen of lives including their own. The killer was left wandering around unable to get in to any rooms due to them being locked and very sturdy doors. She/it/they just shot in to the rooms wasting ammo didn’t hit jack shit. Only few killed were just wrong place wrong time before everything was secure which happened in under 2 mins. The guy that trained them travels the country doing these at schools. There’s someone making a difference not sitting around blaming this or that like me and the rest of us. He’s a hero.

Hey Brad, what kind of symptoms were you having that led to the coeliac diagnosis? One of my kiddos who’s never sick has been randomly getting sick for the last month or so. Gets better fairly quick sometimes, other times not as quick. Starting to wonder if he is developing a food allergy of some kind.
Man, I had all sorts of problems. Looking back, it’s gotten worse over the years. In November, it got markedly worse, so that’s when they think it triggered to full-blown Celiac disease. They say that most people begin with a gluten intolerance, then if you don’t alter your eating habits, it can become Celiac with continued exposure to gluten.
I’m still learning about it, but that’s my understanding right now.
Main thing I had was discomfort in the upper part of my stomach. Really odd for me, as I’ve never even had heartburn before. Once you get actual Celiac disease, it can lead to neurological issues for some, and I did have a bit of that one time back in November. Constant diarrhea is another symptom.
If they seem to get worse after eating gluten (it’s in almost everything), it could be a gluten intolerance. I’m not sure how they check for that. I found out I had it after they did a scope of my stomach/intestines and one of the biopsies came back positive for Celiac.
Cool, thanks and good luck with adjusting for it. Gluten is in everything. I can’t imagine trying to not eat it. Oh, and with this new knowledge sorry for convincing you to try that pizza place here out.
It isn’t horrible. I honestly feel better now than I have in a really long time. My body is running so much better, even after only two weeks. I’ve probably shaved 30 seconds/mile off of my running pace.
Nice, good for you. I’ve been lucky to have almost no health issues but my wife is the exact opposite. If there is an issue it is at least nice to know what it is so you can address it and not just be stuck in limbo.

Was it more stomach type issues or some sort of joint, rash, etc issue? I only ask cuz twice now he has been sent home with a fever at about the same time and this morning for example, he had orange juice and cereal (no milk) so we’re wondering if the cereal could be the cause. We’re gonna start keeping track of what he eats for a bit just in case. Hopefully he just got unlucky and has caught a few bugs but I’d rather document and be prepared.
Many cereals have gluten, some don’t. Fruity Pebbles and Lucky Charms are gluten free, so I’m happy. Anything with wheat in it will have gluten. Milk is actually fine, unless the kiddo has an allergy to dairy, of course.
I did get random rashes on the back of my shoulders & arms. They’ve gone away completely since I cut gluten out of my diet.
Right on. I’m curious about the gluten thing because normally he doesn’t eat cereal. Mom is good about cooking them a breakfast most mornings and he just doesn’t ask for cereal. Had Life this morning so definitely a gluten heavy cereal I think. No other issues yet, just minor fever for awhile and upset stomach so I’m hoping just a bad run of luck on catching bugs or he’s finally growing some (his 2 year younger brother is almost as tall and definitely stockier than him, that’s my fault, he’s my mini me).
Americans get 50% of their calories from wheat. It’s in everything. If kiddo does have a gluten allergy, be prepared to become a really good label reader.

Personally I think this could go either way if we bolstered the OL. One of the best RBs with a pass catching and blocking TE and a good FB… What QB would do really well in system predicated heavily on standing in the pocket with a heavy dose of play action on top of it with the threat of the run?

Idk, to me, constant movement with little to no scoring does not = exciting. I get there are higher scoring games, 6-2, 5-4 but usually its 2-1,1-0, etc. Also, I acknowledge watching a random baseball game can be boring AF too. I only pay attention to the Twins, I know the players, strengths and weaknesses, tendencies etc so the cat and mouse game is much more enjoyable where it would be a slog for someone who doesn’t know these things. I tend in a lot of these situations see that the conservatives viewpoint right for the wrong reasons and the liberal view is wrong for the right reasons. Though as usual both can go too far. The gym here in town has a little shop where they sell fresh smoothies, I usually get one after running/lifting. They’re all natural & actually taste good. The one I get has spinach, bananas, & a couple other things in it.

But the fatties aren’t combining it with exercise. The gal who owns it did, and actually lost a lot of weight, and got pretty attractive. Shes married now with like 3 kids.

I’m going self employed when I leave here, not looking for another “job”. I’m working on getting my sober living home business established, plus we’ll have real estate. If I got all my shit in place for the SL homes, I’d leave here immediately. I’m finishing up the conflict minerals project, and will turn that in in early May. Once I do that, I could walk any day, and when I do, I’ll most likely not give any notice. They didn’t give any to the gal they fired on Monday.
Sober living home is a very admiral endeavor, and you will be great at that. I do worry about whether there will be excessive government regulations though.
Not here in ND. The trick is to be careful if you accept grants/money. I’m hoping to rely on private donations and investors to get launched. Then we aren’t beholden to anyone and can run it how it should be run.
There are lots of options, but I think we can do it better. Help people improve their lives, not just stay sober. Gotta build a life you don’t want to relapse from if you want to stay on track.

There are moose all over in that area. My cousin drives that country non-stop (does maintenance on oil rigs), so he can put me on one almost immediately. Farmers are happy to let you hunt their land if you’re after a moose.
