Vikings Discussion & Random Thoughts
Hey everyone! I hope y’all had a great New Year’s break! I’m taking the day off today since kiddo is still on Christmas break, we’re thinking of going out ice fishing again. We got out yesterday for the first time this year. It was a good time, and although we didn’t catch anything, we made a list of all the things we forgot and added those items to our gear so we’ll have everything next time. I also ran into an old old friend out at the lake, we just happened to park at the same place. One of my oldest friends, he and I are less than a day apart in age, he was born on January 6, I was born on the 5th.

Kiddo went downhill skiing for the first time in his life and had a really good time. He went with my wife’s sister & her family. Now it looks like I have a new hobby to get into. We’re thinking of maybe heading down to Terry Peak or someplace small some weekend to give it a try. I’ve never skied in my life, I should probably avoid doing any jumps right away.
It sure is a lot of fun watching my Ole Miss Rebels rockin’ it into the College Football Playoffs. The Rebels beat the Bulldogs 34-39 last night, score from CBS Sports. What a great game!
Vikings and NFL News
Justin Jefferson was named the 2025 Korey Stringer Media Good Guy, per Vikings.com. He deserves it, I’ve seen him work with kids first-hand, and you can see by how he interacts that he’s a genuinely good dude.
Also from Vikings.com, J.J. McCarthy talks about his first practice back as he deals with a fracture in his hand, an updated Vikings @ Packers updated injury report.
The Vikings signed RB Sincere McCormick and got some help from a delayed plane in Chicago, per the Sporting News.
From NFL.com, an NFL week 18 injury report with player statuses for all 32 teams.

Another great episode from A.J. and Hecklefish at The Why Files.
Thread Guidelines
- Keep politics to a minimum. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be respectful and civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument, not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW language/pictures to a minimum. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- To summarize, behave like adults. Treat each other with respect, and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something, please do. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here, just be civil.
- Twitter sized version: Be cool to one another.
Good morning all. Went out for dinner and drinks with a couple old buddies that are in town. It was a really fun evening, as we talked about old times, missions, etc. My wife heard some things about me she never knew, and she was completely enthralled with the stories being told. We got home around midnight, and she was pretty tipsy. She went to sleep quickly, but was up making breakfast at 6 a.m. I love that girl… gotta say.
Trump pulled off a big one last night I must say. I knew we were staged, and things were percolating, but I was still surprised we actually did it. Our President is amazing and strong. Fearless really. I can tell you the military is feeling that about him, and they are loving it.
Highlight of the night is the Dukes Mayo Bowl…
Anybody else watch the 3 endings to the Georgia/Ole Miss game last night?
Yep.
Seemed like a lot more of them. FG to win it with 6s left, Kickoff with lateral, safety with free kick, recovery with no advance = no time off the clock and then that final play with all of the laterals.
Good thing the penalty on the final play wasn’t on the defense or there would have been an ‘untimed down’.
I thought for sure they were going to keep coming up with ways to let Georgia keep trying. I felt bad for the stage people. They had to put the stage out 3 times. Then there was confetti on the field for the final two plays and ice on the 50 yard line for the last play.
Seemed like it. That mafia must’ve had a big loss coming with the Ole Miss win, the refs sure tried to prevent it from happening.
Yep, saw that. What a shit show.
Coach of the year should be Mike Vrabel.
Others could be….Ben Johnson or Liam Cohen.
It better not be butthole face or I will riot.
I could see Ben Johnson.
Then maybe next year he could have the same type season that KOC had this year.
It won’t be Aaron Glenn.
Navy vs U of Cinn coming up. Looks to be a good one, at least I hope so.
Tough old school game. Being played in the rain so almost all runs.
Hard hitting, some loose helmets and players roughed up already.
7-7 with 10m left in the half.
Injury report
Good, so Potato is a go.
Apparently
And NEIN!!!
If one wonders where to start…
More exciting news for fraud in MN. The new Minnesota Paid Family Leave act went into effect, and the state has received over 12 thousand applications for early approval.
While my portion is a few hundred per year, I am curious how many of the “Early Applicants” are just gaming the system for more of my money given to them for free….
They said you can designate someone each year in your ‘family’ to qualify for care. So you can designate your ‘uncle’ in Florida and then go ‘care for him’ until spring.
No chance of abuse or fraud there.
@She/It looks nice@
Here we go…
Well a ‘fracture doesn’t fix itself in a week.
I assume he is feeling less pain due to decreased swelling and some healing on the bruising.
Does he wear a protective glove on his throwing hand?
I never saw anything that detailed where this fracture was. I think it was on a finger, but not sure. Also, I thought it was a hairline fracture. We used to just tape a couple fingers together and play with stuff like that.
‘Throwing Hand’ and ‘Fracture’ are enough to make any QB and Team nervous going forward. I assumed since it was reported that he had trouble holding onto and throwing the ball it would be a bone that effected those things.
JJ needs to get used to playing while injured, since he is usually injured.
Agree
What was the snowman doing in the vegetable store?
Picking his nose.
Probably a wise decision.
He does have recent ‘priors’ with jumps.
We should find some way to legally fix this kind of insane lawfare.
That’s a girl?
It’s an It.
Allegedly
Next it will be considered a ‘hate crime’ and ‘violence’ to complain about crime and fraud.
Waltzy has already said that anybody asking questions about fraud in Minnesota is simply showing their white supremacy.
Tampon Tim doubling down on woke stupidity.
‘Deny, Distract, Destroy Evidence’.
We should all live for the day when the left can no longer use “race/whiteness” as a cover for every screwed up idea and just plain messes that the left is responsible for.
I doubt it will be in my lifetime.
They have that response so ingrained into their DNA since it has worked for them so well for so long.
As I mentioned in a post a few days ago, this is part of the Marxist playbook. The first step is to divide the country between two classes of people. The oppressed and the oppressors. The white people are labeled and constantly presented as the oppressors. This stokes a constant state of resentment and ever growing anger among the “oppressed” masses.
The second step is a constant state of crisis. You have to keep highlighting one crisis after another to create the sense that the country is falling apart. Fearmongering is absolutely necessary.
Sowing the seeds of resentment and constant fear is how you convince a population “change” is needed. Socialism is presented as the Euphoric solution to everyone’s angst, promising equality, inclusion, and fairness. Of course, only a change in Government can ensure this. Only a new Government can make everything better…. a Socialist Government.
Of course, it’s all a massive lie… but they sell it 24 hours a day.
What is truly shocking is that there is a boatload of “white” people that buy into this BS.
So your a white person living a normal life, working raising kids and all of that. And some dumbass comes along and says your a oppressor and you buy into it – that’s beyond dumb as hell.
Yet, there it is!.
Yep.
I am responsible for the life I live, my actions and thoughts. Not those of other ‘white people’ or ancestors or such.
I expect everyone else to be the same. That is why this Reparations stuff it crazy. Getting people who never owned slaves to pay out millions of $$ to people who have never been slaves.
So glad Idaho doesn’t buy into that crap like Commifornia/SF does.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/san-francisco-mayor-quietly-signs-off-reparations-fund-black-residents-2-days-before-christmas
You are correct. “White guilt” has been reinforced now for years. The media, Hollywood, our education system, and of course politicians have preached it for decades. They have convinced people that they are terrible due to their race. White privilege, White Supremacists, and of course good old cultural appropriation all contribute to the messaging. Throw in some toxic masculinity as a cherry on top.
This really has become the Commifornia of the midwest.
I hate the MN politics.
I hate the MN weather 6 months out of the year.
Either I live with it and pretend to not hate this place, or find a divorce lawyer.
My ex in-laws in the area believe ‘Alcoholic Amnesia’ is the answer.
“Dry January” again for me. Done it the last few years. It really helps lose the weight gained during the holidays.
Love my wife. Hate living here. Maybe the answer is I go visit family each winter. I have siblings in AZ and FL.
Is it Minnesota politics or is it Minneapolis/St Paul/Duluth/Rochester politics.
That is a fair assessment.
Blue cities are driving the elections though. Things are not going to change for the better in this place.
I hear ya’. I’d love to move south. At least I’m in N Dakota, so we don’t have the political stuff to deal with, although I think we spend far too much.
Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said in a recent interview that he is now open to negotiating a drug-trafficking agreement with the United States, remarks that come on the heels of U.S. strikes on narco-terrorist vessels and a reported CIA drone strike last week targeting a dock used by cartel operations.
The left continues to try and convince the citizens that Trump is violating the law, and killing innocent fishermen. He’s going straight to the root of the problem though, and causing real harm to it. His peace through strength initiatives are showing the world that the liberals extreme passiveness on crime and terror does not work.
‘The left continues to try and convince the citizens that Trump is violating the law’
Well since they have said that Trump is Hitler they cannot agree with anything he says or does because that would make them Nazi.
Better to just virtue signal by opposing everything he does/say/thinks/supports/likes.
Yeah, but unfortunately they are successful in convincing some folks that their lies are actual truths.
‘convincing some folks’
The majority of those folks were already convinced that ‘orange man bad’. Not many people with working brains buy in to that woke crap.
This is totally untrue and bogus, but I laughed…
Maybe after the ladies apologized it was the husbands turn??
Maybe my favorite line from “Rooster Cogburn” was when John Wayne turned to the Indian boy after Katherine Hepburn had verbally out jousted him and said “God help us if they ever get the vote”.
I find that women are more intelligent but driven by emotions/hormones than men.
Not sure where the Trans are on this, Men who are emotion driven? Or just mentally ill.
Definitely mentally ill. They are disturbed. The fact that we are being pushed to celebrate these people and accept them as a norm needs to be combatted. They are not normal. They are not mentally stable, and they have no business being promoted as such in our schools to our children.
You talking about. women or trans?
Trans… but women can definitely achieve a whole other level of crazy.
Duh.
Hmmmm… something Cousins has done on the regular his whole career, is something no Bears QB has ever accomplished…
While “not the main goal,” the Bears absolutely intend on breaking Chicago’s 110-year curse of having ZERO QB’s with 4,000-passing yards.
Caleb Williams needs another 270 yards and is preparing to throw +50 passes if necessary.
Nah, I’ve seen Bears QBs wilt under pressure lots of times.
Eyeroll…
Myles Garrett will miss out on a $45M incentive bonus if he doesn’t break the sack record this weekend against the Bengals Sunday. Garrett enters Sunday’s matchup with 22 sacks, just a half-sack shy of the NFL single-season record jointly held by Michael Strahan and T.J. Watt.
Unfortunately, Garrett was added to the Browns’ injury report on Thursday with a hip injury. He was a limited participant during practice.
For $45M I would go out there on crutches to get 1 sack.
Reporters asked Burrow if he was gonna let Garrett sack him to let him get the record. He said something like “There are going to be situations where a sack is the best of the bad outcomes of that play.” Hmmmmm…
I thought that it was funny how he answered that.
Have him throw some money at the Bengals to bring Favre back for one game…..
Oh, Myles just needs to talk to Burrow and one of the tackles.
$45 million seems like a lot for an incentive and would seriously hose the Browns if true and he hits it.
Yep.
Here’s what AI says…..
That makes more sense. A $45 million incentive like that would totally hose their salary cap next year.
Ah yes, just saw this was a satirical claim that Garrett risks forfeiting a fictional $45 million bonus unless he breaks the single-season sack record in Week 18 against the Bengals.
You kids behave yourselves, I am heading to spend the weekend in wonderful Minneapolis. Going to watch the meaningless Packers/Vikes game. If you don’t hear from me by next Wednesday it means I was done in by the peaceful folks in downtown Minneapolis.
SKOL!!!
While you’re there start a Day Care Center and then cash in. Seems to be the Minnesotan thing to do.
Hope you are safe. I also hope you have a great time at the game. Let’s win the last one and FTP!!!
RIP.
Say Hi to all the Somali.
Stay alive!
You kids behave yourselves, I am heading to spend the weekend in wonderful
Minneapolis.Somlialand*Minnedishu
Enjoy the game! I still like Dayblock Brewing for pregaming if you like pizza and beer.
As long as you do not buy your tickets from a Somali you should be fine.
Can anyone guess which current NFL head coach has more rushing yards than Bo Jackson?
Harbaugh? Lol
Which one?
The one with more rushing yards, Duh.
Laughing
Jim
Correct
Crazy
I have no words…
That is easier on the horses.
Impressive to jump that high over and over again.
Very strange to do it with a toy horse at your hip.
Globe can’t warm up fast enough…..
True story from my army days. I got REALLY drunk one night, got back to the barracks late late, I’d been drinking Wild Turkey.
While wearing nothing but a cowboy hat, a belt, and my cowboy boots, I rode a broomstick up and down the hallway yelling “The British are coming! The British are coming!!!”
Well, I’ll never get THAT image out of my brain now!!
LOL….sounds like a fun night.
It could be, she seems fit and limber.
Laughing… we create some great memories in the military… don’t we?
One of my greatest memories happened in Berlin. Our base was Hitler’s HQ, Tempelhof Central Airport (TCA). If you look at it from the air, it is built in the shape of an eagle with outstretched wings.
It was constructed with 5 levels underground, where they built some of their aircraft. During the war, as the Allies began advancing and taking Berlin, the Nazis retreated down into the lower levels and set up ambush points. Rather than risk life, the Allies locked off the lowest 2-3 levels and flooded them to end that problem.
We worked rotating shifts (4 swings, 4 mids, 4 days, 4 days off) – after the last swing shift we tried to stay up as late as we could to start acclimating to working the mids, so we needed things to do in the wee hours of the morning. One thing we would occasionally do is dress up in dark clothing, pack a backpack of beer, and go exploring in those lower levels to see what cool things we could find – Reichstag eagles on the walls, parts of German newspapers dated back in the 30s, etc…..
We found our way to one long dark hallway. That’s abut the time our flashlights started giving out, and we were running out of beer. One of the guys did the old ‘shine the flashlight on his face with a creepy smile’ and started coming at us yelling “RUN!!! I’m the Hunchback of TCA!”
Then there was that sickening thud of something solid striking flesh, a loud “OOOOOOFFF” and a crash on the floor. He had run into a pipe sticking down from the roof of the hallway, cutting a nice gash in his forehead, knocking him cold. Scary, but we controlled the bleeding as best we could, carried him out of there and to the infirmary.
It was not much fun explaining what happened to the 1st Shirt, who subsequently put an end to subterranean explorations. Luckily no serious damage, but Rick got a cool scar to talk about at parties…..
Now THAT’s a cool story. Awesome!
We used to play ‘click click in the dark’.
When we were working 12hr shifts over the holidays in the isolated exclusion area. We would take our 45s, take out the magazines, insure everyone cleared the chamber and then went into the Admin area. Two guys would ‘defend’ and go in and hide with the lights out. The others would ‘sneak in’ and try to find them.
If you shot anyone with an unloaded 45 you get a ‘click’ which indicated they were out of the game.
In hindsight is sounds crazy but it was actually safer than the other game we played, ‘Tin Can Tag’ with pickup trucks and soda cans full of gravel.
Boys with toys…
Well the Army did give us those toys. #grin
Plus way too much time on their hands.
Nothing to see here… nothing to see…
Yeah, the Western values are in no way superior Muslim values….stop spreading hate.
Right,
Sharia Law says if your family insults mine we can get back by gang raping a daughter in your family, then to erase that stain on your family you just have to kill that daughter.
No way is western values superior to that.
It’s not just Muslims. I lived in India, and it’s common there among all religions. It’s the culture over there, and sadly women are seen as lesser, not just with different roles.
They really do see beating your wife as teaching and upholding authority. It’s pretty gross.
Young people in this country do not realize just how good we have it in comparison to the rest of the world, and people are throwing that away thinking we have no right to set borders.
‘Young people in this country’
It is not just young people. My SIL is a Woke, Liberal, Feminist and she was ‘defending’ Muslins. I asked her, do you even understand Sharia Law?? There is no way she could keep her mouth shut and live under it.
Educated, Rich, Moron.
No kink shaming.
Unless ‘shaming’ is your kink of course.
Anybody think the Giants will consider Flores to fill their HC position?
I think not, Giants issues are more on offense then defense. Plus the whole Lawsuit thingie.
More of a ‘Hope Not’ actually, plus I wouldn’t want anything to do with NY/NJ.
The Miami Dolphins have brought on Hall of Fame quarterback and ESPN analyst Troy Aikman as a consultant to advise the organization on its general manager search process, according to sources.
It is not a permanent role, but he will be an adviser throughout the process for the Dolphins’ next general manager.
Miami ownership wanted an outside respected perspective from someone who had strong relationships across the league. Aikman brings this after more than three decades as an NFL player and broadcaster.
If an organization that has been in existence since 1966 doesn’t know what they need in a GM and how to locate that person, I doubt Aikman is gonna help.
Yeah that’s weird
Unless the owner is a complete idiot, then it makes sense.
Think Redskins.
Laughing
Good morning, SKOL!
FTP!
FTP Auto Rec.
Niners… this is funny, but it may also be a harbinger of things to come.
It’s already here.
This is the 2026 official super bowl logo.
Notice the similarities……
Don’t forget the super bowl halftime show performer
Yeah… this is sickening to me.
They do a lot of woke stuff in the
BayGay Area.Baby Trump New Years…
Love all those Baby Trump videos.
This is the first one I’ve seen with Kamala that she didn’t have a drink in her hand.
Good morning all and welcome to the 2nd day of the New Year. It’s Friday and this weekend we’ll see some important matchups to decide Divisions. As far as the Vikings go, we just want to beat FTP.
Remember to keep Madison in your prayers today.
GF, love hearing that you are going to get into skiing.
I brought my kids 6 or 7 times last year and now they are getting pretty stinking good.
the whole fam (sisters, their kids etc) all went on the 29th and i decided to teach my youngest (6), and he did really well so it’s going to be a dad and kids event from here on out…we’ll probably go 6 or 7 more times this year.
you + jumps = BAD IDEA….
I have a skiing phobia. I went with some kids in junior high on a school bus trip and knew nothing. Never skied before. They look me up in the chair lift and basically abandoned me with no other advice than pointing down and taking off.
I was completely destroyed in short order and just went and sat in the chalet in dripping wet clothing until it was time to leave.
I remember shivering on the bus for a 90 minute ride home. Then I had to stand out in the cold waiting for my dad to pick me up, and we were a good 30 minutes early.
I still remember finally getting home, the hot shower and getting into a warm dry bed. It was a super luxurious feeling.
The next time a ski trip came up, I pretended to have the stomach flu so I didn’t have to go. I took a glass of water in the bathroom, made throw up noises and used the water to create a “splash” sound effect.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I had a similar experience first time skiing, but a friend on the ski team took pity on me and spent 15 minutes teaching me how to snow plow down the bunny hill at Afton Alps. I think it was 7th grade. By the end of the day I was hooked and able to turn without the snow plow and handle most runs without dying.
this story made me laugh.
you are a great story teller, you and mjilnororerr
That’s one way to learn, like getting thrown in the deep end.
I remember meeting friends in Oregon for a week, they wanted to go skiing, it had been some time since I had skied. The place I rented skis from asked my capabilities and I said “duffer”. The bindings were a bit loose for 200 cm skis etc…it was snowing like mad when we got to the hill and first thing we take a series of four lifts to the tippy top…all sorts of signs stating advanced skiers only, the only way down from the top is a double black diamond…oh double black is like a blue in Alberta you’ll be fine…bastards…fucking skis popped off hitting terrain under the snow in seconds, trying to get skis back on under a foot of powder…repeat x 30.
After the 90 minutes to get down I skied by myself the rest of the day on the lower slopes. I now own my own skis and stay well within my limits as the bindings are set tight.
You said “duffer” and they gave you 200s? Most states that’s called intentional homicide.
I was a PSIAA level 2 instructor for many years, and the longest I would use were 195s, but I had to be quick and mobile trying to keep my lesson group together.
I loved it in the 90’s when parabolics came into fashion, downgraded to 130s with the same level of performance as the 195 straight skis.
MT is a large/tall man as I understand it.
Doesn’t that make a difference in ski length?
Asking as a Moran.
Skill level plays much more into it. The longer skis are heavier and harder to control until you know what you’re doing.
They also have more surface area to contact the slope, increasing your speed (when properly waxed). If you watch the racers, they want to keep their skis firmly on the slope and minimize airtime as they go over bumps because that slows them down.
So for an inexperienced skier, long skis could create some unsafe situations.
We had season passes to Welch for a few years until my kids got very busy with school sports and things. It was a great time skiing every weekend. When they were first learning they were going very slow down the hills, so I decided to learn to snowboard. That was an adventure, but I eventually got the hang of it. Skiing is much simpler, but surfing down the hill is a blast. After about two weeks my kids were waiting for me at the bottom of the hill, so I went back to skiing.
I still remember going to Kings place for decent burgers after a day of skiing…
that’s awesome, surly. It’s such a good fun family time for sure. Great way to make winters more bearable..
with my kids learning last year, this year for christmas i rented them ski’s and boots for the whole year for their christmas presents since renting every time we went, was getting expensive…
but i can see a family season pass on the horizon for sure.
Loved skiing and taking jumps when I was a lot younger.
I also pretended I was in an Olympic slalom race, blazing by the ski patrols.
Took jumps at full speed. Fun times bombing down the hills.
ABC wideworld of sports….’the agony of defeat…”
Skier falling off the jump. Memories.
I went skiing with the old german girlfriend in Germany back in the day. She grew up skiing and I never had been before. It was not very fun for me.
When i retired I took The Teacher and the Nephews/Nieces to Sequoia National Park, they did some downhill and I decided to stick to Cross Country. I still managed some epic falls even then.
I have figured that ‘putting sticks on my feet and jumping down a mountain’ is not my thing.
Not being sarcastic, I genuinely don’t know…Minnesota is basically the bottom of an old inland sea…where do you go to ski? What are the elevations? Are we talking Big Sky/Bridger Bowl sized resorts?
A black diamond run in Minnesota is smaller than the bunny hill at Red Lodge. I say that having skied in MN and MT.
That makes sense.
I was partially joking about that but had to look and it’s not far off. The largest vertical drop at a ski area in Minnesota is 773 feet, from the highest point to the lowest. The vertical drop of the bunny hill at Red Lodge is approximately 600 feet. The total vertical of Red Lodge is 2400 feet. If you were able to go from the highest point in MN to the lowest, you would only drop 1700 feet. There’s a reason we call them flat landers. Big Sky now covers over 5800 acres and has a vertical drop of 4350 feet.
definitely nothing in minnesota equivalent to skiing in the mountains, that’s for sure.
Went snowboarding out in Red Lodge like 14 years ago and it was so much fun
You gotta take the fam to Big Sky. Makes Red Lodge feel like a Minnesota ski area.
if mrs freeze wanted to ski, i would.
she hates it and refuses to try again
There’s lots of other things to do. You take the kids skiing one day while she does whatever she wants. Then you can go snowmobiling, sleigh rides, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, take a Yellowstone tour, you name it.
can i hire you as a tourguide?
I could definitely give you some ideas of things to line up.
Lutsen “Mountain” has the longest runs, but any skiing in Minnesota is like the very lowest or shortest runs in a real mountain resort. Think about 20 to 40 seconds of skiing if you are going at a decent speed.
Lutsen has one run that is over a mile long, but it is green and very boring.
The elevation is from river valleys, or Spirit “mountain” in duluth has the drop to Lake Superior.
I know the skiing is crap compared to mountains, but it is still a fun way to get outdoors in the wintertime.
HAPPY NEW YEAR SKOLHOLICS PICK ‘EM AND SURVIVAL UPDATE!
I am easing back into the regular swing of things after activating my use-it-or-lose-it vacation time. I love use-it-or-lose-it vacation time.
I expected to do pretty terrible in Pick ‘Em last week. I was eating Christmas dinner when I realized I never did any of my picks due to all the distractions. I hastily made them at the table. I had no problem ignoring family. I do it all the time.
Low and behold, I actually did pretty well: fourth place, which isn’t spectacular, but I jumped like five spots in the overall standings, which is spectacular.
ManlyPurple was the top scorer again, once again holding off NoDak, who tied for second with Surly. Let’s Fish came in fourth.
Overall, JacksonVike is in 10th place, but he has been sneaking up the scoring a bit recently. Can’t he catch Kirko and Lasallegrouse in 8 and 9? Maybe. I scheduled the league to go through playoffs, so there are multiple weeks left. I figured we might as well do the playoffs because the off season is looooooong…
In 4-7, you got Let’s Fish, DE and PA…and me! I climbed from like the number 9 spot all the way to five. I am very impressed with myself. Considering I got nothing for Christmas because I am old now, that was a nice gift.
Surly and NoDak are in a tight race for 2-3. Meanwhile, ManlyPurple looks down on us all and laughs…
The pick board looked very Christmas’y this week with all the alternating red and green. We were all over the place.
“Everyone” got the Dallas game right. I saw “everyone” because myself, JacksonVike and PA forgot to pick it. I am pretty sure I would have picked Dallas, though. “Everyone” also got the Denver game right, but PA and Lasallegrouse forgot to pick it. PA also forgot the Vikes game. It looks like lots of us got distracted.
Everyone (for real) got the Bengals, Patriots, Seahawks and 49ers right. Everyone got the Steelers and Rams wrong.
Genius Picks go to Manly and JacksonVike for taking the Ravens over GB. Genius Picks also go to NoDak and Kirko for getting the Eagles over the Bills.
Only two Iconoclast Pick Awards: Little Fishin’ and DE for taking Indy over Jax.
A lot of Traitor Picks: Manly, Surly, NoDak, me, Kirko, DE and Lasallegrouse all picked against the Vikings. The Lions should offer $1 billion to the Bears to get Johnson back. Man, they have fallen hard.
GET YOUR PICKS IN BEFORE THE SATURDAY GAMES, LOSERS!
…
AND WE HAVE A WINNER IN THE SURVIVAL LEAGUE!
ManlyPurple, not content with leading the Pick ‘Em League, decided to win the Survival League, as well. Are we sure MP doesn’t work for the mob and has inside information? Congrats, MP! You win a GIF!
wait! i was JUST going to get back into it…..
A couple perfect weeks, and you could win!
I do believe “manly” sold his soul to the devil in return for winning both Skoloholics pick games.
TGIF, and Happy New Year.
I missed the end of the Ole Miss/GA game since I am old and it was past my bedtime.
Looking forward to some interesting football this weekend. And sadly, the end of the season.
Here’s to hope for a better 2026!
