Vikings News/Random topics
Really not much going on. We are weeks, not months, away from preseason football. Finally! I know that football signals the end of summer, and I really hate the cold as I age, but man, I am very ready for this season. The Vikings roster looks very solid. I expect big things. Huge. And of course, the kick in the nads at the worst possible time. I have been conditioned damaged by this team.
Golfing today. I get to inhale bad air caused by Canada. They must still be angry about the Tariff kerfuffle, and intentionally sending smoke our way.

Just days after rookies reported to training camp on July 12, the Los Angeles Chargers placed five players on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Monday.
Those players are wide receivers Mike Williams and Jaylen Johnson, safety Elijah Molden, linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips and offensive tackle Savion Washington.
It’s important to note that all five players can be activated from the list at any time.
Just playing it safe I assume.
Plus do they take up a roster spot if on PUP?
Watching Bullitt… car chase scene just started.
Steve McQueen Auto Rec.
In the late 1970s, a sequel titled “Bullitt II” was discussed.
Steve McQueen’s son, Chad McQueen, expressed interest in continuing the story.
The project faced various challenges, including script issues and McQueen’s passing in 1980.
Obviously Bullitt II was never produced.
If you want to have another laugh read some of the reports, and news reported, regarding the the Secret Service role in Butler Pa last summer where Trump was almost killed.
Seems we need better communication processes from field to HQ. And a better process for purchasing drones and equipment.
But not much was said about Secret Service Agents being told there was a man with a rifle on a roof just 150 yards in front of the speakers podium and for 30 minutes did absolutely nothing. What in the hell did they think their job was? Truly rent-a-cops from KMart would have done better.
The reports are usual Washington government speak with little talk of accountability.
And there is still ZERO information about Crooks.
‘If you want to have another laugh’
I don’t find it funny, I find it sad how far that great american institution has fallen.
Politics and DEI are to blame.
I was being tongue in cheek. One of our premier law enforcement agencies charged with safeguarding the POTUS has been reduced to KMART rent – a cops.
But what was equally qualling (sp), the congressional report didn’t have the balls to simply say the agents totally fucked up and didn’t do their jobs. They all should be fired.
Maybe they did do their jobs.
Planned incompetence.
The next mayor of Minneapolis?
Some of these big cities are so screwed up. What can you say.
and just noted this guy is a State Senator – WTH!!
The Mamdani way, is here to stay!
Another Somali in Minny?! I’m shocked!
Is he your State Senator?
MN Senate. Not sure what district. Never heard of him.
Now I’ve had a couple of drinks so please excuse me, but the people that elect a guy like this are f’d up. Would you hire him to be even the dog catcher?
Teddy Bridgewater has been suspended from his position as a high school football coach in Miami for allegedly providing impermissible benefits to his players.
Bridgewater posted earlier this month on Facebook that he paid for Uber rides, meals and recovery services for his players last season. He asked fans to donate to help cover such expenses this year.
Sad, but rules are rules I guess. Teddy has a heart of gold, and gets suspended for it.
In a significant victory for the Trump administration, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of President Donald Trump’s push to overhaul the Department of Education, allowing the termination of nearly 1,400 federal employees. The decision clears the way for Trump’s long-promised effort to rein in what many conservatives see as a bloated, unaccountable bureaucracy that pushes left-wing agendas.
Someone needs to figure out a way to bring about change in the subjects propaganda that is being taught in schools. Woke, DEI, CRT, America is bad, are agendas that need to go and get back to the real basics with a proper presentation of history.
I totally agree JR. Linda McMahon is doing an awesome job in my humble opinion, of kicking the DOE in the ass.
Even The Teacher thinks Dept of Ed sucks.
But she thinks if you just give $$ to the State of Commifornia education there will get even worse.
Yep
Colorado coach Deion Sanders wants to add a couple of assistant coaches with significant NFL experience to his staff.
Sanders said at Big 12 media days that he’s “praying” Byron Leftwich will agree to coach at Colorado, and that he wants Mike Zimmer on the staff as well.
The only one that we know for sure that was actually signed by Biden was for Hunter.
Calling Dr Fauci…..
No need to beg. Here you go. How many do you need?
Do you think anything will ever really come of this?
Sure.
Democrats will be embarrassed and GOP will have a better chance at the Midterms and 2028.
Every Dim running will have to answer questions about it.
Other than that? Not so much.
Would guess water over the damn by then.
2028 maybe.
2026? Not so much.
Probably not.
But Trump does Trumpy things.
Biden reduced about 4,180 sentences, issuing nearly 2,500 of the commutations on 17 Jan. Does anyone believe he actually read through the cases of all those folks and made a decision on them?
The NYT story was trying to say that Biden verbally gave approval on them.
However, that is not enough on some specific pardons/commutations, apparently.
The NYT admitted, without knowing it, that Biden didn’t follow the appropriate legalese.
Short answer, very few believe Biden knew about it.
The NYT just admitted he didn’t know about them.
Yes. Biden was mentally unfit to stand trial, because the prosecutor said that a jury would see him as an elderly man with a bad memory. Yet he is supposedly lucid enough to run the country?
Biden gave the ok on ‘Categories’, ie non-violent drug dealers, death row inmates, etc.
Aides make up the list and tweaked it. FJB didn’t know who he was pardoning. What category did the ‘Cash For Kids’ judge fall into?
Live in the now!
Given my past the ‘Now’ is a nicer place to be.
sorry. No thread from me today. In the office, and not trying to publish something on my phone.
No bid deal.
Weekend count was low enough it shouldn’t bog down today.
I hate you, and you are uninvited from my Birthday party.
The Douche was acting pretty douche at a golf tourney this weekend.

Solid Solid guy.
Not really a class act. Never has been.
He suxxx so bad I almost gave your post a 👎🏼
And you don’t deserve it!
Apparently, he’s married.
What does he say and how does he treat his spouse?
I’m…convinced his “wife” is an online AI bot.
That actually seems plausible…..
She seems willing…..
Only 6 teams rushed for fewer yards per carry than the Vikings in 2024. I’m hoping KOC gets that stat up significantly in 2025.
I think Jordan Mason helps a lot in that regard.
Once Aaron Jones runs down a bit Mason will be a great change of pace back.
His tough running style is fun to watch, or will be now that he is on our side.
Agree… I also “think” our interior O-line might be the best we’ve had in many, many years.
Correct me if I’m rong…but weren’t we at +5 yards per attempt before Darrisaw was hurt? That’s not to say we were great at it with Darrisaw (and the right guard who should not be named) …we might have faced weak running defenses.
Good point,
O-line, Mason, A. Jones. A decent running game will help out JJ (QB) quite a bit as is did during his time a UM.
Hey Booker, I don’t know. Maybe. But if we get that O-line working, and the run game going, then the play calling gets real easy.
Agreed! Fingers crossed that things come together. Skol!
The playcaller needs to really make a commitment to the running game.
Which is easier to do when the team is having success running the ball.
I was always ‘take what the defense gives you’ kind of guy.
If they are loading the box, pass, if they are laying back, run.
Simple but then as we all know ‘I am just simple man’.
You play the Eagles, they’re going to run the ball. You play the Ravens, they’re going to run the ball. You play the Packers, they’re going to run the ball. You play the Niners, they’re going to run the ball. You play the Vikings, ……………
And they run if successfully.
How long should you keep running the ball when you suck at it?
Yeah when our RBs were getting 0.1 YPC on goal to go situations, at what point do you attempt to score another way. KOC can call the plays but if the personnel is unable to execute…welp
How long – they are many coaches that believe if you stay committed to the run and as the game goes on by the fourth quarter the earlier runs that got little now turn into 7-8 yard gains as the offensive line wears down the defensive line.
And as you are putting together long drives you defense is resting on the bench.
Yup.
Zim believed that, how did that work out for us??
Worked great for Landry, Gibbs and both Shanahans – lots of SB’s.
And just recently, when the Bills took the ball out of Allen’s hand’s, and ran it more, they have done better..
I agree with SoCal, with the weapons the Vikings have, if they want to let you throw it to JJets 15 times a game, take it.
That is the other side of the coin.
Do what you do best and make the other guy stop it.
Would those other teams force the run if they had JJets on their team??
I generally agree go with what you do best – and we have the weapons for passing. but this started talking about improving the running game, and you have to at least make a commitment to the run for it to approve.
There is also another side to this though. Teams that run the ball well, especially come January and playoff time, playing sometimes in crappy weather, do pretty well.
He did, quite often, especially in the red zone and goal to go situations last year, the Vikings personnel averaged 0.1 ypg, on the season as a total, no doubt he saw that number at some point in the year and knew that wasnt good enough. So he elected to pass. Also everyone here should agree with your second point, and I see no one disagreeing with that. We all want the team to be able to run the ball effectively, that doesn’t always mean MORE. Its also easier to run when you are up a decent amount on the score board. A lot of factors besides “KOC needs to call more run plays”
See above. There is a difference between running the ball a lot and being committed to a run game.
A simple example. Last year’s NFC Championship game was in Philly in some really crappy weather. If you go there, and we’re a dome team, without at least a ‘decent’ run game you are in big trouble.
And you have to commit to developing it during the season prior to playoff time.
Again, no one here is arguing that. We are all well aware of Phillys ability to run the ball well and its why they got a SB out of it. But Phillys roster in 2024 was different then the Vikings in 2024. They had the best back in the league and a mean O line to pave the way along with a QB who could power run. The Vikings didnt have any of those things. So, you either have to cater to your current rosters strengths, which 3/4 of the way into the season you should know what you have, or you try to mimic another team that has a different roster? Everything is good on paper until its not. I hope the revamped O line in 2025 can help us run the ball like Philly, and therefore KOC will be more comfortable being committed to the run game. Time will tell.
I wasn’t talking about Philly’s offense. I was pointing out the weather in Philly for that game. We are not the Eagles and I am not saying trying to be like them, especially with our receivers. But i am saying we need to be committed enough to a run game to develop a decent one. So, if it’s 3 degrees and snowing, and we have a third and one, we don’t have to pass the ball all the time. Hell, even in good weather, we have had problems getting a push from our line.
You can be a passing team, with also a good running game. It’s not all or nothing.
Yup, I agree with all that. A balanced offense is a good offense. But thats the problem is getting the right personnel to be balanced, effectively. The Vikes have sadly lacked that for quite some time, specifically trenches, which is why, on paper, the 2025 roster could be a lot of fun.
So Aaron Rodgers finally sealed the deal with the Steelers, and he’s pretty sure this will be his curtain call on his career.
God bless him. The Steelers OL struggled last season with pass blocking, evidenced by a 38.6% pressure rate allowed in the regular season (29th in the NFL). The unit struggled regardless of whether it was facing the blitz (9.8% sack rate, 22nd) or just four or fewer defenders (38.1% pressure rate, 31st; 8.7% sack rate, 31st).
The run game was also an issue. The Steelers averaged just 0.70 RBYBC (28th) in the regular season, which made it hard to achieve any consistency on the ground.
Having a good QB doesn’t mean much with that kind of mess around him.
I don’t think ARodge will make the season…he will either get hurt or just quit part way through. For the reasons you listed, I think its going to be a shit show it Pittsburg.
I pray his worst game is on Sep 28th.
That works for me.
My Son-in-Law is a huge Steeler Fan.
Boy he is pissed about The Douche joining the team.
He is planning a trip to Hawaii in Oct so he has something to distract him from the season.
He has teased me when the rumors had The Douche joining the Vikings to now it is my term.
So next weekend my wife wants me to make ribs. I can make them “fall off the bone” good, but man, it’s probably been two or three years since I made them. I learned to cook them in high school at a big neighborhood cookout. Guy that lived next door to us was a BBQ king, and he taught me how to make pork ribs. Basically the dry rub is the key.
Got a smoker?
No. I went through a smoker phase in my 30’s and 40’s, and pretty much got it out of my system… grin. I like to grill, especially when folks are coming over, and especially when it’s cool. In the summer, it’s too hot.
I will do the ribs in the oven, and then finish them on the grill. Get that BBQ sauce all caramelized around them.
If only it were still the weekend, that would be great.
Did a full ham in the crockpot yesterday.
If came out pretty well and didn’t heat up the house.
I are proud of me. #grin
Nice. I don’t cook much, as my wife loves to cook, and the kitchen is pretty much her domain. I can cook, just don’t very often.
The Teacher and I take turns.
We can cook what we want, get take out, or experiment with something new like the John Wayne Casserole.
It has been working out pretty well.
That is very cool SoCal. I once won a chili contest at work by mixing a couple cans of Bush’s Baked Beans (original recipe) with ground beef. There were all sorts of exotic chili’s but everyone ate mine up, and voted it the best.
I’m a simple man.
I doctor up cans of chilli, not a purist.
We had a ‘Spread’ at the prison (that is pot-luck to you normal folks) and we had 5 or 6 different chili’s there. Mine won an informal vote for best.
I figured I had them fooled pretty good.
My thoughts on McCarthy as we get ready to start training camp. If he plays within himself, the table is set for him. The offense is mature, and the play calling is well practiced now. McCarthy just needs to protect the ball, and make the throws that are there. Basically he just needs to run the offense as called. He can rack up yards and TD’s without doing too much at this point. I really think he’ll do that, and have a great year. Our offense will be top 5 in the league.
He has been prepping for this for quite awhile.
‘Football Academy’ in HS, Michigan, and studying last year.’
He has everything he needs to succeed, looking forward to him doing that in a Vikings Uniform.
Me too!
Agreed all around
Since you and NLV agree on a football matter, especially on the Vikings, I’m going to go place a bet on the Vikings winning the SB.
Laughing… nice, JR.
Ill throw in $100 with yuh!
Guess everyone is waiting for a new thread before they post.
Not really any point to posting a few minutes before the thread becomes obsolete.
I for one am willing to risk it.
This week, a number of teams will be having their rookies reporting for training camp, and getting their season preparations underway. The Vikings will be among the last teams to get their training camp going. They have their welcome back weekend starting on the 26th of July, 12 days from now.
It would be nice to get some football related news.
But this time of year any player related news is normally negative.
Arrests, DUIs, injuries, love boat, etc.
I guess I am ok with boring for now.
So as teams return to the field, put the pads on, and start running around, injuries are usually the issue we most read about. These guys are coming in fresh, and after the first practice they’ll start having nicks and tweaks. Ankles and knees are of course the two areas that are most at risk.
Let’s hope we have a year of good health, and a lot of wins.
From your lips to His ears.
My wife is getting ready to go to somewhere near Orlando to see some band from Sweden she follows. Band is called “Priest”. She’s leaving tomorrow, driving over there, and spending a few days. I think the concert is Wednesday, but I’m not sure. I think she’s driving Tuesday, going to the show Wednesday night, and driving back Thursday. I’ll be home alone with the cats.
Your going to be a Cat Lady/Dude?
Apparently. Laughing. I get to do all her “duties” for 3 days. Joy.
Dooty?
Like clean the letterbox??
#grin
Yes. Three cats, three litter boxes, usually three times a day. Bother.
It’s Monday.
Slow day I see. Just got home from a little trip, adventure, reunion – not quite sure what to call it. Will require a little background, so this may be bit MT like.
My wife has not talked to her Mother in 10 years, They had a major falling out when her Father died and haven’t spoken since. She’s in DC (NoVa) and we’re in Florida so I guess it hasn’t been that hard for either of them.
Ten days or so ago my wife received a call from a hospital that her Mother was in ICU and my wife was listed as primary NOK. Thus they were calling to give update, gather background info which my wife didn’t have, and seek approval for things to be done going forward. My wife was really beside herself, but was fortunate in that she had had a similar situation as her Mother’s just a year and a half ago, They both have afib and developed a blot damaging a major organ, so she know a lot of the procedures going forward.
Some good – my wife and her Mother starting talking and my wife was managing her care from a far really well. Her Mother did not want us to come up or to see anyone – she’s kind of strange ( another story).
So things got to the point where she was going to be released from ICU and her doctors were going to send her to a PT ward for a week as she was so weak and needed assistance for all basic activities.
But low and behold, her insurance denied going to the PT ward and the hospital called and said they were sending her home. The woman had to be escorted to even go to the bathroom. We said we live 1000 miles away and couldn’t get her. Long story short, we guaranteed them we could get there tomorrow and pick her up.
We made flights and got a car booked. But there were major storms here and at Dulles causing us to not get to the hospital until about 5 pm. And they were then literally wheeling her out of her room enroute to the front door as we got off the elevator.
And at this point the adventure starts. Going to a strange house, one bed, no knowledge of where anything was, taking care of a very sick person who we hadn’t spoken to in 10 years. Five very exciting days but we made it and all is good at this point.
And now, we’re back home in Florida and I’m ready for some posting
Sounds like you could use a drink…
Oh, I had a few,
But will say we spent all our time in the Reston area near the Town Center and it brought back a lot of fond memories. I really like Florida but had forgotten how much I love Northern Virginia (50 years).
That which does not kill you makes you stronger?
Sorry, just trying to find some encouraging words.
My wife did all the hard work, I merely ran errands and provided moral support as needed.
Yep.
Shut up and drive……
Yeah,
I spent a few days in SB helping my Mom after her Mom passed.
She told me that I was her ‘support staff/minion’.
I bit my tongue since we didn’t need the ‘extra data’.
That is a crazy story.
Any new bridges in mother daughter relationship?
It’s like the past is forgotten/forgiven and all is good going forward.
That’s good.
Definitely worth it if relationships are mended.
Apparently AOC called Trump a rapist on Twitter, in a comment associated with the Epstein files. Folks are howling “defamation” and saying she’s gonna get sued for millions of dollars, like George Stephanopoulos was. I doubt it though. I think the law for tweeting stuff, is different than the law for saying stuff.
There are enough insults thrown around in politics it is tough to know where the line is.
It is different with ‘public figures’ and ‘reporters’ telling lies.
It is not much different from the things Trump has said, like calling Chuck Schumer ‘The Palestinian Senator’. I thought that would cause more drama than it did especially since ‘Old Chuckie’ is Jewish.
Ahhh I originally read that as ‘Racist’ not ‘Rapist’. Obviously worse.
There is really ‘no line’ anymore, certainly not in politics.
Trump’s rhetoric concerning his opponents is exceptionally mild, compared to their commentary about him. I mean calling him Hitler, Satan, a rapist, a murderer, etc is vile. Beyond vile really.
But…but… his name called caused them to label him as Satan/Hitler/Rapist/Murderer/Etc.
Woke Logic.
For you golfers out there… Justin Thomas just missed a birdie putt from 2’8″. My self image is soaring.
We should join the tour
Definitely!
They probably have better ‘Cart Girls’ on tour.
https://www.golfdigest.com/story/the-secret-life-of-cart-girls
Laughing… the girls dress up sexy, to make tips… and then complain about men’s behavior. Typical female take. Men are pigs, especially when I send signals by dressing in tight, short clothes showing off my assets. Oh yeah, take off that wedding ring!
Men were built to chase women, and women were built to allure men. It’s nature.
We had a family brunch at Mulligans in Santa Barbara back in March. It is a comfortable spot on the golf course.
At one point I went to the car for something, went around the side instead of thru the front. There was a very pretty, young Cart Girl standing by her cart, she looked up and gave me a very nervous smile. I just smiled back, nodded, and went to my car.
I wondered if she was new or if she had some bad experiences that caused that ‘nervous smile’.
https://www.playsantabarbara.com/about-us/mulligan-s-bar-cafe
Maybe you just reminded her of a dirty old man?
Probably.
Startled her at least.
Personally, I’m always warm and relaxed on the golf course. I chat with the cart girl, but I know the drill. They’re looking for tips, not a romp under the sheets. I’m looking for Gatorade… not a romp under the sheets.
Can it go any higher than it already is?
Good morning, SKOL!

The reunion went well. No conflict. Actually I didn’t expect any conflict. This group of my wife’s relatives are general good people. Now she has another branch that if they every held a reunion, you would want to arrive packing heat just so you could survive. Anyway, it was good to see some people I haven’t seen in awhile. One of her cousins that is in his late 60s or early 70s had a run in with a saw a couple weeks ago and nearly cut off his arm and had to be airlifted to Rochester. He still showed up for the reunion. Of course he only lives about a mile from where we held the reunion, but still. This group of her relatives is full of some tough old farmers that just won’t quit.
I am glad that my prayers helped you out.
#grin
Thanks.
Today was Byron Buxton Bobblehead Day and he made the most of the attention.
He hit for the Cycle with an extra single in a 12-4 Twins win, total 5 hits. in 5 ABs with 3 Runs Scored. Good thing they kept this guy out of the All Star Game.

True but we care about his victims and the scum who used his services.

Attack the person asking the question, a sign of someone lying.
Its Government, everyone is lying.
Some have a decent reason (National Security) and some just want to cover their ass. Sometimes it is tough to know which is which.
I just assume the worst case and adjust as needed.
Sherels & McDaniel both have a Skoloholics t-shirt.
How can I get one?
We were once told that all you had to do was win the skoloholics pick em or fantasy league or finish high or something like that.
Having a blast!
Awesome!
I can see him becoming the GOAT WR if he keeps up his current trajectory.
The Greatest Viking?? No way he can ever pass Alan Page.
But that might just be my opinion, dang youngsters.
Page and Tarkenton will likely never be dethroned.
But Jets could threaten them for sure.
Golf Idiot update:
Maybe he is at the point in the AA’s 12 Steps where has to apologize to everyone,
Interesting take about Fed Chair Powell.
I follow the financial world and didn’t know this was going on.
A new $12.5 Billion Palace, $700 Million Over Budget, let FJB run +9% Inflation, Now keeping our inflation rate among the highest in the world??
Yeah, time for him to go.
Back from a nice relaxing lunch and shopping. Dropped off the dry cleaning, and gassed up the car. Noticed gas prices are down about 25 cents a gallon. Nice.
Looking forward to seeing some football news as training camp starts soon for a few teams. The Chargers rookies are reporting today. The Bills and the Ravens rookie report dates are 15 July along with a lot of other teams like the Giants and the 49ers. The Broncos and the Lions rookies report on the 16th.
So it won’t be long till we get daily reports on how great every team is looking and how impressed everyone is with the rookies. Lots of hype coming!
I don’t even remember the last time I have been to a ‘dry cleaner’.
My Army and Prison Uniform didn’t need it except for Class A’s. Have not worn any of that for almost 30 years.
Yeah, I still like my clothes nicely pressed. Even my golf polo’s. Just my way of dressing.
Thats ‘Dandy’.

The Vikings 2022 Draft continues to look worse and worse.
https://www.vikings.com/draft/2022/picks/all-picks
Looks like we can add Brian Asamoah II to that pile of busts as well.
https://fansided.com/nfl/vikings-linebacker-brian-asamoah-already-looks-doomed-before-training-camp
In case anyone has not watched the QB show on netfix and is wondering about how our former QB looks, here is a good write up.
https://sports.yahoo.com/article/kirk-cousins-spends-much-quarterback-220000079.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall
Overall, Kirk is a super kind and relatively normal dude that cares about other people more than most in this world. Kudos for that. Also, obviously talented since he has held 1 of 32 positions available for that job. I still feel he was vastly overpaid while here, and certainly overpaid as a current backup.
I will leave it at that. Kirko is, by all accounts, a very good human. While I am glad he is no longer the QB of this team, they guy does deserve credit for how he handles himself. I get that cameras were rolling, but I do think he really is that nice.
Now, somebody teach him how to cook on a grill.
Hmmm ‘Vastly Overpaid’??
QBs on average are overpaid and no one held a gun to Slicks head when he offered those contracts. Business decisions were made and they ultimately didn’t work out for us.
I can agree to the rest.
Oh, I do place the blame on Slick Rick for sure. Kwesi did not have many options with the one extension he gave him.
Kirk could not deliver what was hoped for, because the rest of the team had too many holes to fill, and there were not enough resources left to get free agents, and Rick was bad at building through the draft.
I hated the no trade clause and fully guaranteed part of his contracts, but it is not my money, and good for him and his agent for getting maximum dollars from three teams. It was just an overall frustrating time to be a Vikings fan. Team was good, but never in contention for a title. I was ready for the reset after 2018. For me, now is a great time to be a fan. This team has a chance, and a rookie QB gives me hope.
It will probably still end badly, but I will stay on this wagon for at least three years.
Well, being the fourth highest paid NFL player in history says otherwise. Soon to pass Tom Brady in 2026.
Well given the raise in QBs salaries the last 10 years or so active players will make more than retired ones did during their careers.
TB just got in on the end of that.
I thought the Cook-Out drive thru was interesting.
Didnt say anything about who he was, just chatting about the Falcons with the server, who didn’t know who he was.
Kirko is doing the series again for a reason though.
Yep. Like I said, the cameras are rolling. He knows that. I still have not ever heard someone who works with him say anything negative about Kirk the human.
Kirk the football player? Yes, some players have commented.
I am sure the agenda is the next contract.
He wants to get back to Minnesota and that’s why he talked about now regretting it.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is pledging financial support for illegal immigrants as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents continue carrying out raids and enforcing federal immigration laws.
On Friday, Bass signed an executive order to bolster protocols and support immigrant neighborhoods, including offering cash assistance, in response to raids by the Trump administration targeting those living in the United States illegally. Bass explained that the order would ensure that illegal immigrants would receive a “couple hundred” dollars on cash cards, adding that the “money will not come from city coffers but from philanthropic partners.”
Also, a California Judge ruled that ICE can’t come in and arrest illegals in Los Angeles.
Just bat shit crazy liberals, doing bat shit crazy things.
Well the TRO causes ICE to jump thru a bunch of hoops related to their activities.
I don’t expect it to stand long on appeal. Even the 9th Circuit Court has sided with DJT recently.

The fact that any judge in the United States of America would issue such a TRO is galling.
Agreed,
Biden Judge, TDS is a hell of a drug.

Been watching the Scottish open since about 4 a.m. Time to get breakfast.
I have been golfing over 40 years, taking 15 of them off while raising children. Once i restarted about 15 years ago, i gradually improved to where i can shoot bogey golf in an average round. The best i shot last year was 10 over par for 18 holes.
This year my game has gone to hell. So the past month i have been working on getting consistent, hitting fairways, making putts and not worrying about the loss of distance (i am 65). I got new irons, replacing the set soneone game me in 1985, and got a zero-torque putter replacing my mothers putter from the 1960’s.
I took some advice i saw here and used the 1 – 2 – 3 approach to slow my backswing, and make me take a full backswing. It worked like a charm. I hit 16 of 18 fairways yesterday, and only took 32 putts as i shot an 84, my best round of the year, by far.
So thanks for whomever gave the advice, i think it was No Longer New Viking, but not sure….
Hey PA, glad our discussions helped. Bow and I have been talking about our methods. He does 1, 2, 3, and I do “Alabama”. Regardless of method, rhythm is so important in the golf swing, and finishing the backswing is the first thing to go under duress. We get short and quick, and that results in poor shots. Even putting. Rhythm is everything, no matter what shot you’re hitting. So be relaxed, swing in rhythm, and focus on a target.
It helped me to finally realize it did not matter how far i hit my drive. I was never a long ball hitter, even in my 20s, i only drove the ball 200 to 210 on average. But i was rarely in the fairway. Now i just focus on hitting it in the fairway. At best i aim right half or left half. A good drive is down to 170-180. A bad drive is 140-150, but i keep them in the fairway. A decent second shot (i hit a great 5 wood) and a nice short chip and i am putting for par.
Definitely the right plan. Keep it in play. I played a round a while back, where I was paired up with a large, overweight black woman. She was very fun to play with. We laughed our way around the whole 18. She hit the ball decently, but not far. That said, she might be the greatest putter I have ever played with. She sank several 20 footers, and one putted almost every green.
After the round, she told me that was her lowest score ever. I said “if I could putt like you, I’d be shooting in the 70’s”.
