I’ve been extremely busy running around and working on properties, but today I’m taking a day off to do nerd work on the computer, so I should be around most of the day. The crew at CBS Sports predicts division winners for each division. Some of these are laughable.
From NFL.com, Cooper Kupp is day-to-day after a ‘hamstring setback’, and the Colts GM Chris Ballard says the situation with Jonathan Taylor ‘sucks’, but that the relationship is repairable. Sounds like they maybe just need some counseling or therapy or something. Maybe some kumbaya. Or wait, I know! Maybe they can lock themselves in a cabin & do some hallucinogens or something like that.

I think they’ve been practicing. Day after Hock signed his new deal there was a video of him coming in full uniform and pads from the practice field.
Just got done golfing. Shot a 92 which is to retry good. My second best round of the season. Got really freaking hot and started to fade out a bit towards the last 4 ish holes
That’s solid…within striking distance of breaking 85 which is where I have lived this year. I noticed a couple weeks ago I was fading in the heat the last 4-6 holes even though we go out a 7 am. Its hot by the end especially on muggy days. I also noticed I wasn’t eating a breakfast super early just coffee then water and the combination had me famished by the last few holes. Been taking protein bars to eat at the turn and a Gatorade and that helped a lot. Went par, par Wednesday on the last two holes to shoot 88.
I play tomorrow, I am breaking 85 I believe it and I can do it!

I have a friend in Maryland who stands stock still over the ball for what seems like at least a minute before he draws back and wails on the ball. Never has a clue where it’s going. No idea what’s going on between his ears.
Lol…that is fantastic. It is sooooo fascinating what you can learn about an individual by playing a round of golf with them. From handling pressure, adversity, how they prepare themselves pre shot mentally. You see some funny things you’d never dream of about a particular individual until they swing a club.
I don’t think I have much of a routine. I don’t really prepare myself mentally, just focus on being relaxed, swinging in rhythm, and hitting the ball to a specific target.
You should try it. You hit bad shots or you’d be shooting par or better. Nothing complicated just give yourself a few seconds behind the ball looking down the target line, set up over the ball look at the target and fire. Same with putting.

Fellow nerds, I need advice. What the best platform where I can save photos in a shared folder that my wife and I can access. That way, she can put together an invoice while I’m posting the pictures. Basically, I want to take pictures with my phone and have them go directly into a shared folder. Right now, we have shared folders via iCloud, but then she has to access them via iCloud on a PC, which isn’t optimal, according to her.
We have Office 365 Business, so I’m thinking maybe using OneDrive or maybe SharePoint online. I think either would work. Anyone have any experience with anything like this?

I use OneDrive for doing the same thing at work. Have a shared company phone that is set to automatically upload photos to OneDrive and have given access to the necessary people. It works great for maintenance issues and such and for our employees who are less than tech savy. Google Drive works as well, but if you have 365 Business, I would go that route.

I used SharePoint Online when we had to collaborate with our op co out in Oregon when we purchased a company in Seattle one time. It worked really slick. I was able to comartmentalize permissions & everything.
That said, OneDrive may be more simple, especially when using mobile.
Try a manila folder
I’m doing property management, handling a whole bunch of homes that the state owns, I have a contract with them. It’s going fucking awesome. Anyway, the guy who had the contracts before I had them sucked at his job. I had to do a final cleanout of one of the properties he’d been managing.
Basically, the state takes ownership of a home when it enters the foreclosure process or something similar. These properties need to be checked monthly, and once they’re unoccupied, then the manager (me, or before me, him) has to do ain initial intrerior inspection. Part of that is emptying the fridge, because you also have to have the power and water turned off, and winterize the property.
Well, instead of emptying the fridge on this property, the previous manager decided to just duct tape the fridge and freezer shut. This was probably a year or more ago. When I opened it yesterday, it was fucking disgusting. I ratchet strapped that motherf****** shut, kept it upright & loaded it on the trailer & got it to the dump. Holy shit, that was bad.
Some people should be sterilized so that they don’t pollute the rest of the population any more than they already have.

You know, the interest rates are actually right around average right now, when you look at it from a long-term standpoint. We got spoiled with basically 0% interest rates, which is not sustainable and is unlikely to happen again, especially in our lifetime. The long term average rate is around 7%, maybe a hair under.
It just seems high because of how low they’ve been and for how long. Back in the late 70s and early to mid 80s, people were paying 18% interest on home loans.
I remember as a kid getting 5% interest on my savings account at a small town bank. If you want that kind of saving interest now, you have to go to an online bank. Local banks and credit unions around here are giving less than a half percent on savings accounts.

Gophers looked exactly like a team that replaced its OC and 4 of their olineman, couldn’t run the ball and pass pro was… suspect to say the least. The Greek showed pretty much what I expected, elite arm talent, good athleticism, and inexperience. First game of the year is always odd, both teams will get better as the season goes along, but Rhule should bench Sims, he’s absolutely horrible and that pick in the end zone was just pathetic.
Letting that fat ass Husker nose tackle run unblocked up the middle to destroy the QB made me turn off the game there in the 4th. I’m shocked the Huskers snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory.

He has every single detail from his time, to who he works with, to where and when he goes here, who does what in the building and how they are, all of this he would have to set up all over again from scratch. Naturally he doesn’t want to have to go blindly in to the unknown and have to set all that up again even if on a stacked team where the pressure to win in an unknown environment is all on him. That is not how he works. On top of that his boys, his home all of it is just a lot to leave or move and start fresh somewhere else at this later stage of his career. I don’t think this means he takes peanuts and stays but I do think it makes him more than willing to deal to stay. I also think the Vikings come January will be wanting him to stay as well. A deal will get done 100%.

He knows how good Cousins is, so his playisn’t relevant to the equation. KAM just wants to be able to trade him or cut him whenever he wants, and Cousins ain’t playing that shit.
So Kirk is the decision maker in this equation. What is he willing to accept to stay. I think based on what I stated above he will want to stay bad enough not to have to change his life and will take the fair offer KAM gives him.
KAM is never offering him a fair offer. KAM wants control of Cousins fate. Cousins will never acquiesce to that.
I don’t see how KAM wanting less years of commitment from Kirk is KAM wanting control. It’s a contractual term nothing more. It actually gives Kirk more control over that 3rd year he wanted guaranteed.
I think as much as Cousins is negotiating with KAM he is negotiating with himself and what he will live with. Cousins is a practical man, he will be able to reach the point of understanding the extra year and money is not worth the lifestyle change it will require him to make if he has to leave.
KAM is in control of the negotiations, Cousins is trying to accept that. Another year of wear and tear and routine is playing in KAM’s favor much more than Cousins because he will realize he doesn’t want to leave. KAM knows that.

KAM and KOC’s “stick to the plan” we keep hearing certainly starts with getting the books straight to be in a financial leveraged position. Who you keep, who you draft is secondary to getting financially leveraged. We should have seen this coming from a former wall street guy.

Or do you keep aging vets with bloated contacts they aren’t able to produce enough to justify the salary being paid?

It’s a case by case decision with an emphasis on the final call being financially sticking to the plan. These players know at this level you better come to camp ready to compete for your job regardless what your tenure or contract situation is. There’s always a cheaper option ready to step in and take your opportunity away. That said KOC and KAM have enough time in practice with these players to determine who’s the better investment and you better believe how much they’re making plays heavily in to that determination.
