I actually enjoy the weekend sometimes – it’s less hectic. And as you say football is about on us and this may be the the most dramatic political race in our history.

Xander Schauffele held on after a rocky start and posted a three under par round today to remain tied for the lead with John Rahm in the Olympic golf tournament. Rahm made several bombs for birdies, while Schauffele missed a number of short putts, including a 2 footer for par. He did make an eagle on the par 5 fourteenth hole to climb back into the lead. Gonna be a very exciting final round tomorrow, with lots of big names near the top.

Yes. We’re mostly worried about power outages though. Should be fine otherwise. We have like 300 batteries, and we froze the ice packs for the cooler. Charged up all the electronic devices, and have spare power packs for them.

Our “CB” problem is being over blown like it was last year by Jrob 42. Its about D line pressure. No we dont have a shut down pro bowl corner, but neither do 25+ other teams. Its about D line pressure and disgurise and thats not going to be accurately represented in camp. Ever.
OK good – when I see our D line start consistently bringing pressure I’ll feel relieved.

While there will be some that argue that the Republican party is being influenced by extremists, there is no argument at all that the moderate Democrats have allowed the leftist extremists to run over them roughshod. That may be their downfall.
I see the Republican party slightly differently. (Mean no disrespect).
Republicans for some time had their neo-cons as well as the RINO’s. Trump has taken over the party as a populist and I wouldn’t say he is a true conservative and is still not all that well thought of by the NEO’s and RINO’s.
And in some way, the Trump Republicans are ‘working class’ which used to be a Democratic strength.
I think some of the extremists claims come from his followers being strongly against CRT and DEI.

Since I’m. new at this, can I ask who puts this (video’s) out. Like this Hooker throw, it’s nice but about 60 NFL QB’s can make that throw with no pressure. In a game under big pressure, that’s another matter.
It’s just whatever random stuff shows up on my Xer. Not sure why the Hooker one did, but I was a fan of his last year and wanted the Vikings to draft him (beyond pumped we got JJ though. I think Hooker has potential but JJ is potentially something else.)

It’s not you JR. A lot of these throws aren’t “10’s”. They’re good throws, but not hard to make. McCarthy has a good arm. Strong arm. So did Jeff George though. We have to see what he has between the ears against a top shelf NFL defense. So far so good with McCarthy, but there’s a lot more to come.
What was between the ears or lacking there of was our last starting QBs problem. As well as genuine leadership and confidence. Hopefully JJ has that in spades.

That’s not the issue.
It’s the fact that you have to pay for the additional seat needed to make it happen.
In other words, if you buy a flight, you have to pay and select two seats next to each other. What Mayor Pete is saying is that you only have to pay for one of those seats.

No…you still have to pay for both seats…you just don’t have to pay extra to select them to sit together…which you have to do now if you are flying “economy”….

Nope, not me…always have to pay extra so select your seat. If you don’t pay extra they usually stick you in the middle of 3 seats…So its not that the airlines are “targeting” parents, its just that in my experience you have to pay the extra 40 bucks or so to select your seat.

I’m with you DE. My experience as well. Just now I went on Delta’s app, selected my wife and I as the travelers, and “best fare” option. Only after I select the outbound and return flight (and associated cost) do I get to select the seats. No extra charge for selecting seats together.

Chose my seats with no extra fees right next to each other.
Now if I choose “Basic” at Delta, I cannot choose any seat. So I could see for that level where being assigned a seat different from your child could happen.
I find it hard to believe that they have pre boarding for young children, but wouldn’t assign your child’s seat next to yours.
If that’s happening, the Airlines are assholes.
Speaking of which, last time we boarded (my wife is a boarding Nazi (the new favorite noun of the left) who must board at the earliest “legal” opportunity) they had changed the order such that first class boards ahead of “any families traveling with small children needing extra time”. That was a wise move IMHO. My wife would get an extra 20 mm Hg systolic watching a family of nine and all their roller bags and accoutrements boarding ahead of 1st class.

I personally think Trump is good (from a policy standpoint), but I would have liked Desantis much better. Can talk well, is generally polite but tells it like it is, good policy decisions and track record with Florida, and is young. I don’t know why people hate on him so much. Would have been the best option IMO.
A thought from someone living in Florida. I like Desantis a lot and in many ways think he is a lot like Trump with just as strong but more fluent tongue.
During the primaries Trump spent a fortune trashing him – I’d see two ads an hour and they were effective.
Not saying Desantis is better or for that matter less divisive than Trump, but he is very solid.
I heard he was a bad ‘campaigner’, didn’t come across well to the rally goers.

Unfortunately for you, an overwhelming majority of R’s (over 70% in 41 States) want Trump. You don’t like his personality. I like his grit and leadership. I don’t care if he hurts your feelings.

VFIC seems open to dialogue though and if I had to guess I’d say he’s about 8-10 years younger than me. I had similar reservations 8 years ago (no I did not vote for Hillary, but believe it or not I did not vote for Trump either). The media narrative is one thing but if he’s new to the political landscape, at least really paying attention, then I can see where those thoughts could creep in. As long as he keeps an open mind then let’s continue the so far civil conversation. I still haven’t heard any ringing endorsement of Kumala either. Sounds like a potentially undecided to me or at least somebody centrist and open enough to be convinced. At the very least a little truthful point of view from the other side doesn’t hurt anything (not like Lifer’s super crazy stuff).
Haley is a big no. She is terrible for a variety of reasons IMO. She would have had no chance for real change (she is a RINO).

Fidelity plays what they call the tax loss harvesting game as well. It is good for the market to take a healthy dip on weak job forecast every once in a while to deprive my own personal IRS agent of his/her windfall.
It SHOULD go below 5000, but won’t because it’s an election year and they have to hold it up for voting. I am surprised that bad news is bad news now and they’ve let the markets fall more that 1% in a day (and a couple days in a row, which hasn’t happened for like 9+ months now). It’s a very rigged game.

But falsifying business documents is a misdominer even if 150 times. And the statue of limitations had expired. So again, how is he convicted of a felony?

Also the judge instructed the jury that they didn’t need to be unanimous on any of the 34 charges, which I think is a failure of jurisprudence. Once they added up all the guilty charges, the judge then found him guilty of a felony, that wasn’t even part of the case. Total kangaroo court BS.
