Vikings Discussion & Random Thoughts
Kiddo’s team had our first football game of the year this morning. It could’ve gone better. Yikes. The defense did well on the opening series, they had a stop on fourth down but a facemask penalty nuked the stop. After that, the defense just wasn’t the same, they got outworked the rest of the game, couldn’t seal the edge, etc. There were some good performances, so it wasn’t all bad, but we had too many players who weren’t hustling or playing to the whistle. I’m guessing it’s going to be a rough week at practice. Oh well, that’s how we learn.
Helping coach the kiddos is a lot of fun. I’m learning a lot this year, the head coach has played and coached at the college level, and two of the assistance are players who played college & play pro ball in Europe.

NBC halftime show had a “Micah Parsons Shines in Debut” segment. Talked about how impactful he was throughout the game.

Bit of wild end to the half with the officials confirming 1 second left on the clock so the Bills could kick a field goal. Baltimore up 7, and they get the ball to start the second half.

I didn’t see much of the game although I had it on in the background, but it appears the Lions played very poorly. Maybe they are trying to emulate the Vikings and play like crap the first game of the season?
They certainly looked bad. New OC and DC probably.
That was very disappointing, and I take partial blame for hoping the Cowboys would lose Micah Parsons, but to the Packers, UGH.
