I think the Vikings were undefeated in 2022 when Cook ran for at least 75 yards. Moral of the story, rely on Cook more and Cousins less.
Just have a more established and successful run game period. Doesnt even have to be around Cook (he probably gone anyway). We were very mediocre running the ball last year.
We weren’t balanced enough, IMO. We went too lopsided toward passing, ran the ball at the third-lowest percentage/rate in the league.

So Friday a week ago The Teacher had her surgery. Long, miserable day as I was sick all night Thursday and she couldn’t sleep due to anxiety. The surgery went well and after leaving the house at 3:30am for the Surgery Center we got home just before the worst of LA rush hour traffic.
First week was pretty busy, she was heavily medicated and needed assistance to move around. Last few day she has been about to get around the house on her knee scooter pretty well and I just needed to be nearby for food/drink/etc.
She says she is doing well enough for me to go out to the base commissary tomorrow (Retirees are only allowed Wed/Sun).
Next week she has her post op appointment and she will get a ‘regular cast’ and lose the huge padded thing she has on the end of her leg currently.
Progress, one step at a time. (pun intended)

Those knee scooters can be pretty useful, outdoors you have to be careful for even small rocks, I was scooting on mine after ankle surgery a few years ago and hit a pretty small rock with the wheel and the scooter stopped immediately but I went ass over teakettle. Glad she’s doing well so far.
She only uses hers inside for the most part.

It’s well worth watching. I pretty much hate TV shows and most movies, and I loved Band of Brothers. They did a pretty good job of ‘keeping it real’, too.
I’d be happy if actual history was allowed to be taught but that’s not the case today in America.

Their Nazi involvement being scrubbed clean, giving them citizenship so the US public wouldn’t know. My brother in law is from France. French-Vietnamese to be exact. His grandfather lived thru German-occupied France and died regretting not being part of the resistance. Guillame is one of the finest men I know, currently living in the Gig Harbor, Washington area and he texts me on every important/historical day for the United States. He’s excited to become an American citizen and I’ve been tutoring him for his upcoming citizenship test at the end of the summer.
Thats awesome! Good on you for helping him out and helping him with citizenship. His grandfather probably wouldn’t have been around to have a grandson had he joined the resistance, sadly. Crazy how people from all around the world are still killing to become US citizens but the people born and raised here take it for granted on the daily.

When I was younger I painted professionally and the boss asked for volunteers to go paint a grain elevator in southern Kansas. He sent everyone who did not volunteer to Kansas and kept the ones that did volunteer on local jobs.
Oh man, that’s awesome. I painted professionally for a few years myself, that’s what I did when I lived in Mississippi, painting & drywall finishing.
