Coming out of the bye week, it’s been a while since we’ve seen Vikings football. I’m excited for Sunday’s game, and I’m hopeful that KOC can figure out an offensive scheme that will help Josh Dobbs find success. I don’t care to sit through another offensive performance like we saw against the Bears, yuck.
Minnesota Vikings Discussion Topic of the Day
Justin Jefferson makes his post-injury debut against the Raiders on Sunday. What are you expecting to see from him, production-wise? (How many yards, etc)

Vikings.com tells you how to watch, listen, or stream Sunday afternoon’s Vikings @ Raiders game. Also, KOC explained his decision to stick with Dobbs for Sunday’s game.
After his absence due to injury, Justin Jefferson revised his goal to 1,000 yards for this season.
The Patriots defeated the Steelers on Thursday Night Football last night, per NFL.com. That was the Steelers’ second straight loss to a two-win team, they were defeated by the Cardinals last week.
Zach Wilson will be the Jets’ starting quarterback…….again, from CBS Sports.

It was all a dream….
Vikings @ Las Vegas. Dobbs doesn’t disappoint – turns the ball over 3 times, manages to run for a score and find JJ on a blown coverage – two TD’s and another from Josh Metellus returning a Danielle Hunter forced fumble is enough to carry the day. Vikes win 21-13. On to Cincinnati….
Vikings @ Bengals. Jake Browning lived up to his name and is a gunslinger…. for a half. Bengals up 21-0 with 10 minutes to go on the strength of 2 long balls to Higgins and Chase and a pick 6 from Dobbs. Enter Mullens. Mullens concussed on his only play from scrimmage as Ed Ingram steps on his foot, he twists into Trey Hendrickson, ball pops free and Cam Taylor-Britt takes it back to put the Icky Shuffler’s up 28-0. Enter Jaren Hall. Hall finds Addison deep for one long score, Ty Chandler on a swinging gate screen for another and scrambles his way to a 3rd. Metellus comes up big again and blocks a punt out of the end zone. Vikes get the free kick with 2:10 left. A symphony of quick boundary throws and inside runs gets Minny to the 6 – 1st and goal with :38 left. Handoff to Mattison who fumbles, Hall grabs the carom and dives across the goalline. 2pt try stuffed but Vikes hold onto win 29-28. KOC to ‘evaluate’ the QB situation going forward.
Christmas Eve. Detroit in town. Hall named starter. Finds JJ early and often. Defense dominates in all 3 phases of the game. Kene takes the 2nd half kickoff back 106 for a score. Kids in Minny go home laughing knowing Santa could never top the gift of a Vikes win on Christmas Eve. Vikes win 31-6. Dobbs released, immediately signs a deal with NASA for the Mars missions, they spin him around in a chair, drop him off in New Mexico and he’s never found.
FTP in town for NYE. KOC, with blessings from KAM, devises a game plan for JH to get the ball to JJ, JA and KJ ASAP leaving FTP no choice but to STFU and GTFO. Defense dominates. Vikes pitch a shutout on the strength of an NFL record 8 sacks by Danielle Hunter – all but locking up DMVP for the man. Vikes win 27-0. Happy New Year indeed!
Last week in Detroit. Game gets moved to the SNF Finale. Detroit puts up a fight, Hall shows his rookie side with 3 turnovers. Defense and Motor City Dan Campbell’s dumb decision to go for it twice on 4th down inside their own 30 backfires miserably both times. CJ Ham brings home the bacon with a 1 yard plunge to steal the game. Vikes win 24-20.
PLAYOFFS!
Wildcard Round and it’s Detroit again!
This one isn’t close. No typical one and done. All cylinders fire. Chandler runs for 125 and 2 scores. Hall throws for 275 and another. Defense scores on a Khyris Tonga 65 yard scoop and score where he carries 3 tacklers across the goalline and needs the oxygen mask for the remainder of the game. Vikes win 38-13. Dan Campbell punches a Gatorade machine, no charges filed. Campbell fired the next day. Lions hire the Gatorade machine.
Divisional Round. Vikings @ Dallas. Revenge for last year. Flores comes after Dak early and often. Two pick 6’s by the defense in the 1st quarter – Evans & Pace. The JJ/CD discussion is settled as Jefferson catches 12 balls for 240 – breaking AC’s record. Lamb records more catches than drops, has a bad fumble and gets a text at halftime that his girlfriend is leaving him and he left the garage door open and there are leaves everywhere. The final seconds tick off as the FBI and Dallas Metro PD enter Jerry Jones’s suite, asking questions about humps of dirt in the west Texas desert. Bad day for Dem Boyz. Vikes win 48-3.
NFCCG. Green Bay @ Minnesota. Hall knocked out early with a high ankle sprain. Enter Mullens. Mullens puts on a clinic…. Of ineptitude. 2 picks, a bobbled snap and Minny is trailing 14-0 at halftime. Jaren Hall, performing on the strength of playing in front of his grandkids, sucks it up and puts together a warrior performance in the 2nd half. Finds KJ down the seam for a long score. Shakes off a Quay Walker free run to throw a dart to Hock for another touchdown. (Walker storms off the field, gets an Uber and beats the team home to GB) Harrison Smith, playing in front of his great-grandchildren, tops off his HoF career with a pick 6 for the game winner. Vikes are SB bound! 911 calls involving farm animals skyrocket in the Green Bay Metropolitan Area.
THE 🦉
Minnesota vs Kansas City. Taylor Swift appears….. in a vintage Moss jersey and sitting with JJ’s family. Kelce is too overwhelmed to take the field. Mahomes makes uncharacteristic mistakes. Former Viking Jerick McKinnon has a crucial fumble in the 4th quarter with the game tied. Vikes ball with about a minute left. Hall scrambles for a first down. Finds JJ on the sideline for another. One quick inside run to line up the ball for Joseph to attempt the game winner from 54…
Snap…. spot… Joseph swings thru it….
aaaaaaaaaaaaaand……..?!?!?
I am going to get a beer, maybe two, and read this again. Sort of need the alcohol thinking about the 54 yarder.
By the way, hve you been drinking – that’s quite a dream, but really good.
He’s got some really good brownies top in even better gummy bears.
That my friend, would be the effects of high quality marijuana and the afternoon off. Just me and the mutt and my imagination…..
my two favorite parts:
that would piss me off….
this made me chuckle
Nice Mjolnir… well done!
…and he splits the goal posts and the Vikes finally win a Super Bowl! Mass chaos throughout Minnesota!
LOL!
Good dream!!
So KOC says he has to adjust the offense, and the rest of the offense needs to do their part so Dobbs can “thrive”.
I would guess (truly only a guess) that KOC wants to utilize Dobbs running ability more effectively. To me, that would mean the Vikings will incorporate RPO’s into the offense. Those plays weren’t going to fit Cousins skillset (obviously) so we didn’t have them in the playbook.
The question is, can the offensive line and the receivers adjust to this type of scheme and make it go during a bye week?
We’re about to see what KOC has developed so Dobbs can “thrive”.
if dobbs goes out there, doesn’t turn the ball over (seems impossible) but also doesn’t throw a td and throws for say.,…175…
does he get the next start?
or will he have to kind of light things on fire (in a good way) to keep starting
If we win, he’s covered.
but what if he throws 4 picks, and hall comes in and wins it for us….
is he still covered??
Isn’t Mullens already been named the backup?
Regardless, if he throws 4 picks and the backup comes in and wins the game, Dobbs sits.
I know this is a political answer but here goes. Dobbs has to do the things KOC is looking for him to do. That means run the plays as called, and as designed. If it’s an RPO, make the right decision with the ball. If it’s throwing into zone coverage, it means find the right guy to go to. If it’s JJ on the deep crosser and he’s there, deliver the ball.
It boils down to can he run the offense that according to KOC, is being established for him?
so in otherwords, Dobbs, in this scenario, is the manchurian candidate
don’t think, just do and do exactly what we (koc) tells you
i like it
Do you mean tradional RPO’s where the QB puts the ball in/out of RB’s hands and then maybe runs himself or throws.
If so, that play is frought with the possibility of a fumble – it requires a lot of practice. And we have a QB and RB that both fumble a lot on regular plays. I wouldn’t fo this play, not with these two.
Exactly. This team has had a pure pocket passer under center for 6 seasons. Suddenly changing to an RPO attack might be a bad plan, poorly executed.
What if it is well executed?
Then hallelujah!!!
What would be better, a bad plan well executed or a good plan poorly executed?
None of the above
That’s not an option.
I make my own options
Don’t you thinbk it’s a bit of chalk board football. The OC draws up the play and it’s a TD. The DC draws up a play and it’s a 10 yard loss.
What ever play is called, you have to execute it and if you do that well, it will work.
Execution is king.
No, what if your OC draws up a dive play where the nose guard is unblocked?? Even if well executed it has little chance of success.
How could you draw up a draw up the middle and leave the nose guard unblocked?
But for both of you – my point. You can draw up a great play, you can draw up a crap play, and for sure they both will fail without proper execution.
You can execute a draw play perfectly and be dropped for a 3 yard loss…
Not if it’s executed properly,
The defensive player who blitzes up the middle and tackles the RB is generally not designed into a draw play JR. The draw, like a screen, is meant to draw the D-line in and then the RB bursts past them. A blitzing safety can, and will blow up a perfectly executed draw play.
You got me and you could probably certain screens and trap plays.
But regardless of playcall, if you don’t execute it properly, it will fail.
That is true… call the perfect play, and screw up the execution, it’s not gonna work out well.
That is what I just said in two sentences instead of one…show off.
Laughing…
Like everything, the answer is nuanced…it depends mostly on how bad the bad plan is and/or how good the good plan is.
We could, for example, execute a national plan to open our borders and allow 6 million illegal aliens in during a 4 year period…even if we executed that plan perfectly it would not be better than the plan where we strive to minimize illegal aliens entering our country no matter how poorly we execute it.
This was just for an example and @it has no relationship to actual world events@
You’re working this hard Rube… real hard.
I am a hard working fellow….well, except for today where my office “to-do list” was very short.
Well executed – like 8 times. But there’s also 3 fumbles.
KOC will give us aheavy dose of Mattison with his 2.3 YPC. Like to see that McBride get a look, something different.
47 degrees. I’m dreaming of a brown Xmas.
74 degrees right now in Tampa…
Just had to rub it in, didn’t you?
Laughing… like my mother always told me… “make good choices”.
Survived Christmas shopping at the Mall of America today.
Reading all the doom about Sunday.
While I expect anything can happen, I really think the Vikings will win this game, even with Crosby playing and Dobbs trying to fumble away the game.
This is the script, Vikings end up needing a win in the last game vs Detroit to make the playoffs.
Detroit will have clinched seeding of 2 or 3 and be resting all their starters.
Vikings lose by 20 to end the year.

Dobbs discussion
VP had something to do with Wren’s life passing him by on 9.24.23 at 11am
Very slow day, but on the bright side (which doesn’t exist according to Bow) it is 2:15pm and there hasn’t been a single comment about Scottish Churches Relatives despite the presence of their lovers and haters being present throughout the day,
Dobbs is sort of an odd duck. He’s been in the league since 2017 and been on seven teams. Two of them twice. Nine moves in seven seasons is a lot. In those seven seasons, he’s played in 20 games, including the four he’s played for the Vikings.
What to make of him then? He’s a good guy, and he has enough talent for teams to add him to their rosters, but this year due to the injuries to Kyler Murray and Kirk Cousins, is the first year he’s been a “starter”. Thus he’s like one of the most experienced rookie QB’s ever.
Is he a real starter though? Is he a guy who can execute an NFL offense at a high level week in and week out? So far this year, the answer is no, he cannot. Both for the Cardinals and the Vikings he has had real up’s and down’s.
Vikings need him to start being a LOT more “up” than “down”.
Another quiet Friday?
Crosby’s playing
Well that’s. wonderful.
It would be better if he were out, he’s a high motor never stop moving kind of guy, reminds in that way of John Randle
I meant it like – shit!
Good thing we gots them good tackles.
Indeed, although O’Neil seemed a little rough last week.
He did seem a bit off.
what is everyone doing actual work today?
I am very busy trying to pinpoint the exact moment life passed me by…
I’ve narrowed it down to September 2014.
Wow! which date in September.
Maybe September 24. Possibly, around 11 a.m.
I knew I did something that day.
So it was YOU!
its an interesting thought…at what point in your life did your upward arc (family, work, etc.) plateau? for some of the younger folks on here it hasn’t yet.
Apparently Wrenage’s was September 24th, 2014.
I remember it well. I had just come to a big decision in life and was ready to move into the unknown.
Five minutes later I got a series of texts out of the blue that shot everything down and set me on the road that led to today and onward.
It’s not really a complaint, though. I’m generally content. Man plans and God laughs, and all that!
I’m about ready to take a nap.
Can’t get back to something you weren’t doing in the first place.
Exactly.
Football Gods help them if he has to touch a football for them.
Addition by subtraction.
He’s allegedly great in the meeting room, like another coach
Maybe Queasy can find one in the draft.
I’m trying to decide which is worse, political discussion or fantasy football discussions.
Discussion Question of the day was how many yards from JJ on Sunday….
I have no confidence in Dobby to throw the ball downfield,
So I predicting around 40 total yards for JJ.
Going with 30 from Addison,
65 for Hock
And 70 for Osborn the RBs and other TEs which gets us to around 205 through the air.
I don’t know man. JJ is so damn smart and I could see big things happening if Dobbs extends a play and that breaks JJ free. I am probably a glutton for punishment but why not see the bright side!
Because it’s the Vikings and there is no bright side
On the bright side at least you know there’s no bright side
Yep, I will likely find some yard work to do, clean the garage or go to the hills for the day and just catch the game on the radio.
It’s plays like what you’re describing that I am hoping for. We haven’t really seen what JJ can do in a legit ‘scramble’ drill with an actual scrambler. I also think a few big plays involving JJ will come in this fashion, or will have to for Minny to be successful in the passing game. Dobbs lacks the requisite velocity for 2nd level throws – he can throw on the run pretty well though (a few examples this season with Hock and Addison)
Or Dobby will scramble and then throw it to a defender or get stripped.
But why? JJ is an elite WR and can get wide open without the need for the scramble drill, Won’t simply just throwing him the ball “on script” work?
Maybe – but again, Dobbs doesn’t have the arm strength for those second level throws. I’m not saying scrambling will be the game plan – I’m sure KOC will try and get the ball to JJ thru normal play designs (skeptical it can be done with Dobbs) I’m just saying the scramble drill drill is where he could thrive.
I’m OK with the scramble drill – for him to run the ball. But I think throwing on the run is tough, for even really good QB.s with arm talent.
I also think the other guys watch film and will try to make him throw from the pocket to beat them. I’d also guess they will stack the middle of the field some and make him throw to the boundaries.
Those are the throws that scare me the most – boundary throws. Deep outs and back shoulder hitches or digs. All because Dobbs doesn’t have the arm strength required to beat moderately good coverage. If JJ or another receiver can get separation it’ll help some, but it’s those throws to the boundary that are prime for a DB to jump and take back the other way.
Exactly this.
And across the middle. The only thing worse than a late throw is a late throw across the middle – this often ends in a TE sticking his hands out and behind him in an effort to stab the ball and more often the ball gets popped into the air – prime Oskie country.
a bit of a mixed bag here. QB’s with less talented arms don’t throw to the boundries well, but most all NFL QB’s can throw down the middle OK – Jimmy G comes to mind.
Gotta throw it somewhere.
I would say the “scrambling” part isnt meant for him to necessarily throw on the run. It’s more of a RPO opportunity. If Dobbs can’t throw great from the pocket, odds are he isn’t throwing well on the run either.
that’s what I meant – an opportunity to run.
Was answering the part about scrambling around and throwing to JJ.
When I think ‘scramble drill’ I think from the perspective of a WR (odd, as I never was one) where the receiver is trying to find open space for his QB to find him and deliver the ball before crossing the LoS.
One thing that doesn’t quite make sense to me. if you can’t throw it all that accurately (NFL standards) just standing there, would think it’s even harder when you’re on the run.
I don’t think it’s even that Dobbs is more accurate while throwing on the run, it’s the situation. Getting a defender in between him and a receiver with space so there’s room for error. No tight window to throw in, not in the confines of bodies flying around Dobbs where he can get all of a motion into the throw. He doesn’t have to be pinpoint in those situations.
205 might be just good enough to win. Not like the Raiders offense is anything to write home about.
Neither was Chicago’s. I think the Raiders are more formidable offensively than Chicago – Josh Jacobs is pretty good and Adams and Meyers are on par with DJ Moore and Mooney as far as talent is concerned. I like the style of play that Aidan O’Connell brings as opposed to Fields.
well, I’m also hoping we don’t throw four interceptions this week. Zero, even one, will go along way to winning..
Amen, brother….
Great cover of The Edmund Fitzgerald if you are so inclined to listen. A -Capella at the end is haunting.
I’ll give this a listen later. Great song.
Cool cover…worth a listen.
Happy Friday Norse Nerdz…

The Wilfs are wearing cleats too?
That seems like a bad idea for them to wear cleats….
I would think it would be bad for that nice floor in the owners suite.
Well, we do need more bench strength.
There’s are probably just sneakers
Disagree. This situation is way more complicated than just “Hamas bad Support Israel” I think Greg is just parroting what he’s seeing on TV and what the US Government wants you to think on the issue. So this is kinda dumb imo but, yeah.
No, he’s jewish, guaranteed he knows infinitely more about the situation than Mr. know it all Kfey, the Wilfs are also jewish just so you know.
WHAT??? A first name of Zigmunt and you say he is Jewish??? STFU!
I was shocked when I learned that
Ah, that makes more sense. That being said, he’s a US citizen and unless he’s been living in Gaza or Israel in the past 20 years, im sure he’s been versed on this with the news and not much else.
Since you’re so versed in the situation by your own definition you’re either not a US Citizen or have lived in the Gaza or Israel the past 20 years… interesting.
I was mostly kidding, for some reason I assumed you knew he was jewish
Also, I had a hell of a comeback in one of my leagues last weekend. I drove 13 hrs to Breckenridge so I didnt get to see the Dallas – Seattle game on Thursday, got there, and saw I went against DK and he got 45 points. I was supposed to get blown out by 30+ points. I needed the rest of his team to suck and for one or two players of mine to go off. M Evans, and D smith for 60 pts combined did that trick and I got locked into the play offs. Fun stuff. On ward and up.
Nice!
I am playing the number one guy this week. Projected to lose.
But I do have an ace up my sleeve. I have Taysom Hill in at TE. He is currently on the injury report, but if the Saints QB is dinged up as well, he could have a bigger work load and might get me x-factor points.
Yes, the Taysom Hill at TE thing is almost unfair…
I picked Hill up off waivers around mid-season. I also have Kittle, but it is surprising how often Kittle puts up small numbers for me.
Hill has probably given me two wins.
I might still switch to Kittle, but I think I like Hill against the Panthers more right now.
He hasnt been fantasy relevant but I am curious, in that league, if for some reason he throws TDs, how does those points work? I know in our ESPN league it got all fucky that one year when he started and went off.
He’s dual slotted in Sleeper – in our league a TD is a TD regardless of who scores it, so passing TD’s count. And our league counts them as 6 points.
Thats what I figured, yeah, he could possibly have a 20 + pt week if hes involved more. I think the big stink came with he couldnt be used as a TE if he was starting the game at QB
I believe if he throws a TD, he gets scored for it. I don’t think the issue has come up yet. All his TDs are rushing/receiving…I think.
YOUR DOWN VOTES MEAN NOTHING TO ME! I’VE SEEN WHAT YOU UP VOTE!
LOL, wonder how many downvotes this comment will get
I’ll add one for his street cred.
Gotta have the street cred.
Thank you sir
Even more than mine!
I know no one cares but…..
I started Elliot in my fantasy league last night because I am a genius.
I know several others that took that hail marry as well and it paid off
Back from Vacay/Wedding in CO. I know you missed my smiling face and endless optimism and my joy filled conversations with NLNVF and his d- Pal , Jrob!
You were gone?
OHHHHHHH SHIT! Phillip from the top rope
Welcome Back!
Thanks bb <3
Got married – congratulations.
Was wondering about you. Last heard from you, you were correcting Freezy just before Bears game that Dobbs really didn’t turn the ball over much. Figured maybe you went to QB school or something.
But do look forward to our enlightening conversations.
Nah my oldest sister did, Im still on the market!!
LOL, Dobbs is 4th in the NFL for most picks and leads the league in fumbles, he is also #1 overall in most turnovers
Yeahhh, that Bears game broke my hot take lol. That was just hard to watch.
Don’t feel to bad. Before that game I said we don’t need JJ to beat that crap pile of a team (Bears). Thus I am no longer making predictions for games.
I thought the same…
I think the Raiders are crap too, but I’m. not saying a thing or making any prediction.
Raiders are better than the Bears, for whatever that’s worth, and the game is on the road. If Dobbs can unfuck himself the Vikings probably win, however the evidence would indicate it is more likely than not he will continue fumbling or throwing picks. The Vikings def will need to force some turnovers of their own.
Probably slightly better than Bears – but that’s a really low bar. Still think the Raider organization is a shitshow.
Now, maybe Crosby won’t be able to play.
Heart and soul of that defense – if he doesn’t play that’s a good thing.
Crosby and their best olinemen LT Miller both DNP yesterday and today, however both were playing with those injuries before the bye week they just had, I’d expect both improved and will play.
All of this… Defense and special teams have to be successful for us to make a run. Blocked kicks, pick 6’s, PR/KR for TD’s…. Not confident that we can make the playoffs solely on the arm/legs of Dobbs.
I’m not confident either, Vikings will likely have to make the playoffs in spite of Dobbs and his turnovers.
Not confident that we can make the playoffs solely on the arm/legs of Dobbs.
Also, how fitting would it be for Daniel Carlson to boot a 60 yard FG as time expires to beat the Vikings because Greg Joseph missed an XP to take a 3 point lead the previous possession?
That last paragraph is scary – too close to reality!
BITE. YOUR. TONGUE.
He was already amongst the league leaders in turnovers, that game vaulted him straight to #1 though
My comparison was his turn over numbers in his first games vs Kirks first few games. Kirk had more. That was my argument. Then Dobbs went out and did what he did on Monday…sigh
Your wedding? Or were you a wedding crasher?
My sisters! Im still on the market!
I hope you and your husband have many happy years.
Good for Ponder, and he might actually be good at this. I know we all hate on Ponder on this site, but it really wasn’t his fault…he was projected to be a 3rd or 4th rounder and slick Rick took him at 12 overall….
Ex-NFL star Christian Ponder quarterbacking the change of the ‘dumb jock’ narrative in business (foxbusiness.com)
I never blamed Ponder, he didn’t draft himself and by all accounts he is a genuinely good dude who worked hard and did everything possible to improve, he just wasn’t a quality starting QB.
This ^
Yep, I liked Ponder as a dude. I always felt like he left what he had on the field. He just didn’t have enough physically. I genuinely started cringing when I’d see him take off running because I could see he was going to get blown up.
Except for that one time when he shouldered that one opponent to the ground.
Ponder wasn’t one to slid, and he ultimately paid for it with some hits and injuries.
Good for his wife, too.
The Vikings are in Las Vegas.
What could go wrong?
Will the Vikes make another backup QB look like a Hall of Famer? Seems to be their norm…
No, I think the Raiders are going to struggle to move the ball.
Yeah they will make Dobbs look like a Hall of Famer. I appreciate your optimism for once, a pleasant surprise!
Well Played…..
HA! Well played.
LOL, Dobbs would fumble his HOF bust
That’s my expectation as well.
They should take Josh Dobbs up to the roof and leave him there
Thats a little salty.
Just until after the game
Well my question really wasn’t football related.
I heard Lake Las Vegas has some fun boat cruises.
I reviewed a fungus movie at The Last Movie Outpost. It was okay, all things considered.
I feel like most of the time I don’t need to see the movie if I read your reviews, except Aligator People, that review made me want to see it, and I wasn’t disappointed at all.
Yeah, I generally will spoil movies if they aren’t spectacular. Saves people time!
The Dakota Teams are dominating FCS, again. Go Jacks!!
FCS quarterfinals preview: Sizing up the final eight contenders (msn.com)
So awesome. It’d be incredible to have SDSU vs USD for the ship! Go Jacks!
We’re coming!!!
TO LOSE!
SDSU is easily the best team….they remind me a lot of the stud NDSU teams.
According to RPI, SDSU would be the 6th Best team in the Big 10 this year…
They are very complete. And up and coming talent ta boot.
Hey Edge, did you play for SDSU?
Maybe skinflute in the marching band
SDSU and all the other JV teams would be last in any P5 conference, maybe second to last in PAC 10
No. They would be the 6th best team in the big 10 and kick the gophers sorry ass by 20.
Remember when NDSU beat the 4th ranked Iowa Hawkeyes? or when NDSU beat the Gophers 2 out of 3 years so the Gophers stopped scheduling them??
SDSU is legit and could play with many teams in the power 5 conferences.
No because that never happened
Of course a JV team can come up and beat a middling P5 team once in a while, but the JV programs don’t have the overall talent, depth, medical staff/facilities, or resources to compete in a P5 conference permanently, its not sustainable to play like its your biggest game of the year every game.
right Iowa was ranked 13th when NDSU beat them, they had been ranked 4th earlier in the season….
Oh, ok that makes sense now, I honestly don’t recall them being ranked that high since Ricky Stanzi was their QB, they’re generally a run of the mill Big Ten team in the 8-4 area.
Yessir!! GO BISON!
Buck the Fison!
The Grizzies have a chance.
Hopefully since the Cats pissed what should have been a fairly easy game at home away.

I had quite a morning, kids were being shitballs and didn’t want to get up and ready to go to daycare, apparently they don’t understand its friday. Also had a very urgent call of nature on my drive to work, had to stop at a McD’s so as not to have an accident. GF had the thread scheduled to post but must have put in the time as PM instead of AM. Bow is probably off somewhere trying to kill animals or something. We are all failures.
That’s okay. This is a Vikings site, after all.
Expecting to be disappointed is the way to survive
One thing I like about summer/fall country living is the abundance of cornfields. It makes bathroom emergencies a non-factor when in the car. The whole world is a toilet!
I think that was the mindset of everyone in downtown Seattle the last time we were there.
The city of SF agrees
Dobbs to JJ! Time to shine!
Is Dobbs coming out throwing or running?
Roll outs and throws with a run option.
Better question, is he coming out fumbling or throwing picks?
Good point
I think the Vikes and Dobby will be a run heavy team…even with JJ I doubt we throw for 250. I believe our 1st play will be up the middle run for 2 yards.
Probably. Hear a lot of talk for rollouts. But taking a QB with a bit of accuracy problems and asking him to throw on the run doesn’t seem quite right.
Yes
Good morning, again. SKOL!
