Team is pretty healthy other than bruised egos. Monday they are road favorites. I feel the Rams defense is much better than the Lions, so this could be ugly. Maybe Sam will remember whatever it is he forgot on Sunday. Or maybe the O Line remembers that they can block the opponent?
Playoff football is more fun to watch, until your favorite team is beaten, then it sucks. The brutal wake up call has me skeptical, yet for some stupid reason still a bit hopeful.

I read they voted for a pretty major water collection system like 10 years ago and wouldn’t you know it, the government has yet to construct any water holding.
And they fired firefighters for not getting the jab.
Because they need to build reservoirs to catch the runoff rain water. But every time they start, enviromental groups sue and the whole project just goes away.
Water is diverted to agricultural uses and to provide water to cities for the millions of people to live on.
More to point why did the LA mayor reduce the fire dept budget by $17M? She tried for #30M but couldn’t get that passed. It is believe it was so she could maintain more of the ‘Homelessness Budget’ which is larger that the Fire Depts.
She supported they homeless by making 10s of thousands more of them by burning all of those homes.
I also found some story that decades ago they built concrete systems to move water quickly to the ocean, to prevent flooding when the pineapple express kicks in.
Looks like a man-made catastrophe.
But of course, climate change will be the cause.
Trump issued and executive order 5 years ago or so to set up canals and whatnot to move water from No cal to So cal.
Newscum sued to stop that. He tore down damns in No Cal, they have not started any water reclamation projects to keep water from flowing into the ocean in 10 years.

Watching the coverage of the LA fires.

if darnold plays anywhere near as bad as last game, on monday, he’s not getting re-signed here.
Whatever we predict in the off season, the Vikings will likely do something completely different and unexpected.

We are a SB ready team now and will be next year too. If you let a good QB go and then go with a rookie, you just threw the year away if the rookie doesn’t pan out.
If you overpay Sam, we are in the same situation we were in the previous 6 seasons with Kirk.

Watched some analysis, he had Addison wide open for two easy TD throws. Sam just didn’t pull the trigger, and when he did, he missed. Darnold turned back into a pumpkin right before our eyes. Still, KOC could have helped him with play calling a bit.

Anyone else see the recent Rogan podcast on Ibogaine. Insanely good one on the incredible things Ibogaine could be doing for addicts, veterans for both addictions and PTSD, for Parkinson’s but it’s been classified as schedule one since the 70s for political reasons of course. Give it a watch/listen we need to get this fast tracked to clinical trials and use.
I hope you’re joking. Ibogaine has been known for centuries. It is significantly cardiotoxic and there are many known fatalities related to its use.
Not dangerous when administered correctly. Schedule 1 means it has NO health benefits. Yes they cover that it is cardiotoxic and can be dangerous and is a very serious drug but when administered correctly it’s rate of success is incredible. I am not joking. I didn’t say put it on the shelf for people to by all willy nilly.

Doctor’s can be wrong. There has been recent and new studies and data on Ibogaine. Incredible results. Ridiculous to be schedule 1. The data is all there. Again, it shouldn’t be something you can buy OTC.
Anecdotes are just that, anecdotes. Observational studies and case reports are of little scientific value, as you well know. The usage of psychedelics for addiction has been practiced for a century or more. Essentially, you are asking (based on Rogan’s podcast and the evidence he provides, apparently) for the FDA to fast track a psychedelic into RCT’s for the treatment of three separate clinical problems, despite the psychedelic having a known strong association with prolongation of QT interval and many many cardiac deaths. I’m not sure what the political reasons he provides for its prohibition in the US but I for one am not comfortable prescribing such a medication.
I guess I personally would like to see my tax dollars used on more useful clinical trials dealing with the most common causes of early morbidity and mortality.
I remember when Montana approved medical marijuana, there was overnight a proliferation of providers handing out scripts with little to no medical oversight of patients. I myself voted for recreational legalization as I would rather collect the tax dollars than see them go to WA or CO. After all that, we see that the so-called widespread benefits of THC widely touted in the media have not resulted in any profound benefits to the health of Montana residents. Again, I’m not anti-marijuana, it just isn’t the panacea that it was promoted to be.

I literally have people I know (some that have the title of “doctor” but probably shouldn’t) that claim that “marijuana has never caused any deaths ever”. Perhaps they mean that it has never been listed as the cause of death on a death certificate, but I think anyone with half a brain knows that statement is ludicrous.
I personally know of a case of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome that caused hyponatremic dehydration resulting in death, where the young patient did not seek medical care in a timely fashion.

Regardless of the drug itself causing death (“you can’t OD on it”), it causes impaired thinking and driving, etc. that leads to death in other ways. I avoid drugs and firmly believe that “the only difference between medicine and poison is dosage”.
Medical ‘Experts’ can let their pocketbook decide their stance on an issue. Either by getting paid to support one side or another or by seeing which side will earn them more.

Was watching a game – Texas vs Arizona State – and this happened. the Texas defensive tackle, a real stud, threw the guard out of the way and was wrapping his arms around the RB. Then with his arms around the back, the center came over and just drilled him in the kidney and back area. Bit the DL held on and by then other lineman came over pushing and pulling the pile. Looked like a scrum at this poiint.

Oh I see, assisting the runner is what is in question here. Yeah that is one of those odd rules that’s illegal but literally almost never enforced. I was coaching a game one time where the other time realized the refs were never going to call that. They couldn’t move the ball but on a short yardage situation the basically did a version of the tush push. Just put their FB right behind the QB, snapped and pushed him forward for about 3-4 yards a pop. So, they did it again, and again, and again, I was screaming pissed off. I eventually took a time out to talk to the ref knowing it was illegal. I asked, “I just need to know because I know it’s illegal do you believe assisting the runner is illegal?” He said he thought it was only illegal if you pull him off of like around the pile not pushed forward which was absolutely incorrect but I stopped screaming because in this guy’s world what was happening was legal. They did this all the way down the field and we lost by less than a TD… I was so fucking pissed.
But that is at the HS level, I am not sure in college anymore.

Although we blitz like crazy, read we didn’t blitz at all in the first meeting. Guessing Flo thought McVay would scheme in one blitz beating route on all the pass plays (Detroit did some of that). Well, Stafford threw four TD’s.

I feel like we were not prepared for the return of Nakua and Kupp, when we plaid them. Plus we were coming off of a short week, after losing a tough game to Detroit.
This time around, we know Nakua and Kupp are going to be playing, we get an extra day of prep, and we took last Sunday off to prepare for the Rams.
Gotta bring pressure. Especially against teams with good WRs, we don’t have the secondary to match up against good WRs especially if a QB has time, especially good QBs. If Stafford has time, it’s not good.

I have no been able to do one of these for the last two weeks because I was on holiday. And by holiday, I mean I didn’t go to work, so how am I supposed to get any message board posting done? Should I do it on my own time? That kind of garbage is for capitalists…

Bowbunch is at the bottom, but we can’t really hold that against him. He missed a week because he was out hunting. That put him in a position where he had to gamble to get back into it. Freezy is in the number 10 spot. This is serendipitous because he is also a 10 in real life. You should see him in his speedo outside his lakehouse. We are talking young Brad Pitt crossed with Grace Kelly.
Little Fishin’ is in number 9. It was nice of him to let his dad win so much. Good kid there, knowing his father is weak mentally and needs little thinks like that to help him out in life. Wish I had a son who cared that much.
JacksonVike is in position 8. He has also been on vacation, as I understand it. His vacation likely differs from mind in that he spent the whole time on a couch drinking beer, and I spent the whole time on a sofa drinking beer. Truly, variety is the spice of life.
Surly is in number 7. Maybe he is no slightly more surly because that means he slipped a notch to make way for me. Yes, I have jetted up from the number seven spot to the number six spot. DE and Kirk is NOT Still Good are in a dead heat in the four and five spots. Only two points separate then. A single miss this week could doom either of them! This is basically like the battle between Spock and Kirk in that one episode of Star Trek.
I’d rather be fishing is pretty solid in the number three spot. He should be able to hold that position unless we jinx him by saying he should be able to hold that position. He everyone, I’d rather be fishing should easily maintain his three spot.

Still, much will depend on how the NFL wants to shape the playoffs. Will the Rams defense be allowed to mug our receivers all night? Will the refs stop Vikings plays to “check the ball” and other bullshit shenanigans? Will we get (warranted) flags in our favor at all?
Let’s not forget, the NFL is an entertainment business (just like Wrestling). They can shape (aka rig) games any way they want, and they obviously do.
