Well….gonna have to find 9 losses to take the under…..that seems rather difficult especially if the core offensive guys stay healthy, Kirk, JJ, Hock, Darrisaw, Potato. The rest individually can be replaced without a huge drop off.
I probably lean comfortably with the over but lets see how the schedule falls Thursday.

2023 Vikings will be a toss up for predictions. Offense SHOULD be very good, in the second year of the system. That said, interior O-line is the weak point for the 11th year running or something like that. The Vikings have tried hard to fix the O-line for many years. The bookend tackles are very good. The interior is not.
Defense? Who knows? X’s and O’s, Jimmies and Joes, and a new coach. Total unknown commodity here to me.
Kicker? Yeah… not a lot of hope there.
KOC doesn’t inspire me, and frankly nor does KAM. We went 13-4 last year though so that’s something. We’ll see if the 2023 team will be able to win 12 or 13 games this season.
I´m in the same boat, neither HC nor GM inspire much confidence that they´ll be the ones to deliver that elusive SB win. No way to predict where this ride will ultimately end, but I am not overly optimistic.
Good take. With 13 wins do feel better with KOC – compared to Zim.. KAM – pretty much Rick’s team we fielded. Not as sure..
Not sure we can win 12 games, but need enough to win division and get home playoff game. If offense improves as you suggest with just a little defensive improvement we will be stronger and better team. How far they might go, depends on degree of development, health, and yes some luck.

I don’t think Rick/Zim win 13 games last year, so they might be doing something right. Don’t know if it is ‘winning on the margins’ or the fellas played better because of the ‘culture’, luck, or if is was something else.
Kind of feel like I have to give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Once we have a bigger sample size I will have a better idea.
I think we’ll be a better overall team, but we’ll have less wins.
I think 10-7 is the ceiling this year given that the schedule is brutal against top elite teams in NFL.

I absolutely love mac & cheese but unfortunately I married a woman who as a kid ate too much at one sitting, got very sick and to this day will not allow it in the house.
My dad grew up poor and they would eat pancakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at times. He won’t touch anything with maple syrup. Does Peanut Butter on freedom toast etc…
That sucks, Mac & Cheese is delicious, especially with some spicy, aromatic cheese.

2019 juiced ball doesnt count. Every player had career years and half of that offense is no longer on the roster. They were terrible in OBP and RBI last year, top 10ish in HRs…basically, we only score if we hit home runs. And the front office did nothing to address that issue. We’re slow, have no speed, cant steal bases, cant throw people out, cant play small ball.

I was out on the tractor for a couple of hours yesterday. Love it. Pushing and pulling shit around. My wife said WTH you were out there 3 hours I thought you would take 15 minutes I said aha the hour meter never lies.
I was backing under some trees with my left hand on the ROPS, watching the swing of the landscape rake, jammed up between the ROPS and a tree branch. I had one of those quintessential heartland of America experiences Saturday.
We had ordered a bathtub for the shouse addition ship to store Meanard’s in Dickinson. Drove over to pick it up, went into the back lot and they checked my ID and loaded the tub in my pickup. We then went around to the front of the store, went to customer service to get our sales tax rebate, then did some shopping. As we checked out, I was filling out the sales tax exemption for the items we purchased and my wife said hand me your (credit) card. She did the card entry, receipt printed, we head out the door.
We start heading out, have a discussion about what to have for lunch, I park on the edge of the lot while we figure out where to go. My phone rings, a 701 prefix, huh. Answer the phone and I hear, “Hi is this MT? This is Emily at Dickinson Meanerard’s. You were just at our store and your credit card didn’t go through…” We tell her we’re still in the lot, we’ll be right back.
As we walk back in the store at least ten customers call out, “There’s the guy!…”I knew he was tall!””

Issue 3: If you just play out one more year the exit is much cleaner and you get to have this 1 last run with Kirk and Cook. Figure it out after that.
If you were going to give up on this year you should’ve traded Kirk and picked a QB high. If you aren’t giving up, don’t make the position worse for a small cap gain. If they have to eat some of the money it makes it even less appealing.

You’re right massive decision. If kirk leaves, Mullens will probably be a suck season, then the next with a rookie will probably too.Then maybe a mediocre season. Nobody knows, but two sucks and a mediocre will put you on quite the hot seat. Keep Kirk, and his play falls off with age, is not such a good position either.

Not sure. I would be worried they would give up too much in a desperation trade though unless they already want to move on from Cousins. I wasn’t a huge fan of the draft this year but they were in a tough spot with not very many picks. Can’t really move around much without picks other than continually trading back.

They’re doing road work between my house and work. My usual 12 minute peaceful drive to work is now a 40 minute fucking nightmarish slow march to hell. I hope the engineers who came up with this plan die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.

Orange cone season in ND
Yessir. We have two seasons, winter and orange cone season.
They’ve got the interstate over the Yellowstone down to 2 lanes again for the summer. No way around it other than through town. Last week there was a multi vehicle accident (I heard 1 semi vs. 6 cars, but not sure the true/full story) in the construction zone. That shut down the interstate for like 3 hours. All interstate traffic had to go through town. There were a bunch of semis stuck there for the whole thing because they couldn’t turn around. As soon as you hit the west end of town, the interstate is 2 lanes again, almost to Laurel so they can rip out the median cables that they spent millions on a couple of years ago.
UGH! So glad I’m not doing the BIL-GDV commute.
Yeah, that would be a long drive. Of course the accident was at like 3:30 too so just a nightmare. They direct all interstate traffic by the Metra and to 1st Ave. South normally but pretty sure they are working on the underpass there so they must have taken everybody all the way downtown. I heard 27th Street was backed up from the interstate to downtown.

Yuck. That must’ve begun recently, I didn’t notice when we were in town for Easter.
Yeah, they did one side last summer but had to stop for the winter. Highway Patrol doesn’t want the interstate at 2 lanes in the snow and ice. They put the new concrete barrier in last summer. When they’re done it will be 3 lanes each direction from the Metra exit to the 27th St./downtown exit.
Oh wow. Sounds like fun. I guess we’ll stay west whenever we visit. Otherwise just go straight to the cabin when we head that way.
Once you hit Glendive you are already in the best part of the state.
I think we jump off around Glendive to hit highway 12 and just run that over to White Sulphur Springs.

Yeah its crazy. Im not sure where Ill be yet. Im not moving until interest rates are at least down to 4% if Im going to buy a home again. I wouldnt mind living in Lakewood in Mandan if I could afford it. Oldest sister just moved there, I have a lot of friends who live over there. Or I might just leave state.
I’m moving out of town when I move. Might keep the house as a rental. I want acres, 40 or more, nobody next to me. Looking southwest of Mandan, would be my preference. Land with fishing.
Love it. I hope you get to have that. Land is the greatest asset a person can have to their name. What makes this country great. I think if they day comes where I marry I might want to be rural. For now, its nice to be close to work and downtown and friends.
I minded it less when I was single, but I really despise living in town, especially in a city. Bismarck has gotten far too big for my tastes. I don’t mind visiting or working here, but I have no desire to live here.

Pretty much. I change settings and preserve privacy as much as I can, but I fully realize that it’s impossible to avoid altogether.
I try to be naked in my daily life as much as possible, preferably with lots of bending over and coughing.
That always gets the spies to look away.
I use Duck, Duck Go. It works pretty good and the browser ad on is a search engine as well so no more googly.
I do at home, too. This is at work, so I’m limited. It took me some shmoozing with IT to get Firefox. I had to use Edge before.

I’ll guarantee you that ratings is their concern. There’s some reason for moving the schedule that affects ratings. There was something else going on for the date they originally scheduled or something like that, I bet.

Ha! Thanks. It sucks Brisket is so damn expensive. I always get amazing results. Like sometimes I get decent to good to awesome results with ribs and pork shoulder but Brisket seems to always work out.
Do you make your own BBQ sauce?
I don’t but maybe should try some time. I tell you what, that brisket off the smoker was so damn juicy and the Santa Fe New Mexico coffee rub is always a good choice on beef. Brings out the savory flavor with adding depth and some spice… I didn’t even want a bbq sauce on it.

Not long ago, maybe 10-12 years ago.
I was just looking at it at sams club. $3.48/lb
I pay a bit more than that at the butcher shop, but they have damn good meat there.
I also got some from the 1/2 beef we bought.
I am totally not too good for Sam’s Club but if I am going to sink a days worth of marinade/seasoning and a days worth of smoking etc… I am going to pay a little extra at the local butcher shop or grocery store.
Man, I’ve smoked some big slabs. Nothing like a 15 pound brisket.
agreed! This weekends was only like a 7 pounder though lol.
The last one I did was smaller, too. I love getting those big slabs when we have bigger get-togethers.

Had my first meeting at 4 a.m. with Europe. Showered and dressed after that and went to IHOP for breakfast. Got home and conducted my 7 a.m. Monday meeting to go over everything on our plate for the upcoming week. I like to make sure we all know what we have to do. It’s gonna be a very busy week for me. Lots on my plate, next meeting is at 9 a.m. then another at 10 a.m. No rest for the wicked as they say.

A little thought on this past week and our elected leaders responsibility in these matters.
Governor Greg Abbott condemned the man who killed an entire family, his neighbors, who asked him to please quit shooting in the middle of the night a baby is trying to sleep. First question you should ask yourself, how did a 4X deported man have such easy access to an AR-15 he bought in this country? You say there aren’t too many guns in this country?
Governor Abbott called him an illegal immigrant in his response. Next day a Neo Nazi in TX gets his AR-15 goes to a mall and kills 8 people. Sunday a man runs over and kills multiple immigrants at a road side bus stop.
Correlation to the response of a Governor who said nothing about the guns but only the illegal immigrants? Good question.
You better be glad you can buy a gun and protect yourself from people who violently attack others. That might include a large group of people trying rob and murder you and your family. An AR is a very accurate weapon and I have one in the house. My wife is accomplished with it, as she began hunting with her father when she was 10, and got her first deer when she was 11.
Bad people will find ways to kill you. I want to kill them first.
You’re living in a kill fantasy world where you think people are coming to kill you. That is why people simply ringing doorbells, pulling in peoples driveway get shot from the sheer paranoia gun nuts live with. This is a product of fear based marketing by the gun manufactures their lobbyists and right wing media.

Technically I said true gun reform has never been implemented to the degree necessary which is an amendment to the 2nd amendment AND we have crossed a societal barrier where going out in a blaze of glory is the only way to be heard. There are a lot of reasons behind this beyond guns and mental illness.
