Vikings Discussion and Random Thoughts
My trip to Charlotte was really awesome, and I’m also glad to be back home. The weather was amazing down there, I think it hit 86 degrees the day before I left. I did a LOT of running while I was there, got outside to enjoy the sun whenever I could, and I the conference was really good as well. After two days, I was done, I can only sit still for so long, but I did learn a lot and got a lot of good information that I’ll be able to put to use. At least most of the snow had melted by the time I got home.
Not much new going on around the NFL, Aaron Rodgers still hasn’t signed with the Steelers and the media still hasn’t quit griping about it. Other than that, nothing but rampant speculation and rumor mongering. Only three more weeks until the draft.
The first day of the Vikings voluntary offseason program begins April 21 in Eagan. Organized team activities (OTAs) are on May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, June 5 and June 16-18.| Mandatory minicamp will be June 10-12. The collective bargaining agreement stipulates teams are limited to 10 practice days for OTAs over four weeks.
Nice tweet below, they pick a dude who’s missed more games than he’s played over the last two years. Whatever, I just hate the Packers & automatically gripe about anything that sounds positive about that team.

This one is pretty interesting. Enjoy!
Thread Guidelines
Keep politics to a minimum. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
Be respectful and civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument, not the poster.
Keep the NSFW language/pictures to a minimum. We don’t want anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
To summarize, behave like adults. Treat each other with respect, and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something, please do. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here, just be civil.

Yeah that was only on ‘industrial products,’
The Tariffs and ‘Added Value Tax’ on everything else they plan to keep.
With all of the laws that Europe has I don’t think that they can reduce much of the barriers to US trade into the EU. They would have to change the laws first and that isn’t going to happen quickly.
A recent survey revealed that a majority of self-identified leftists believe that an assassination of Donald Trump—if such an event would ever occur, given several prior attempts on his life—would be “somewhat justified.”
55% of surveyed folks think assassinating Trump would be somewhat justified. Shows we have a very big problem with the left in our country. They are the party of vitriolic hate and violence.
He’s a Nazi, Fascist. The left is so far gone it’s name calling and domestic terrorism. Hope every Tesla keyed belongs to a dimocrat. So much for the green shit. People are a joke.
‘Common decency’ is a wonderful and meaningful term. Whoever thought it was a good thing to put an end to this. And there’s good manners, and it’s all sort of trashed.
Look at the fine examples those idiots in Congress set for the rest of the country.
I don’t know, but they used the term “self-identified leftists” which I take to mean 55% of the respondents who identified themselves as a left leaning responder.
Ha, your funny. You think words on a commenting section of a sports site hurt my feelings. You post plenty of sensible stuff, but I will call out your bullshit.
I’m more of the mind that it’s a free world and this site is still relatively free.
Perhaps you might post something of interest once in a while and we all can comment.
It’s not my site, he can post what he wants. I’m all for free speech, but we all know how he feels about people that don’t think like him. Like I said, just calling out the bullshit.
Up next, woolly mammoths and then dinosaurs. They obviously haven’t watched Jurassic Park.
SOUND ON. You’re hearing the first howl of a dire wolf in over 10,000 years. Meet Romulus and Remus—the world’s first de-extinct animals, born on October 1, 2024.
The dire wolf has been extinct for over 10,000 years. These two wolves were brought back from extinction using… pic.twitter.com/wY4rdOVFRH
The science is cool, but why are they bringing back species that we had nothing to do with going extinct? Kind of sounds like normal natural selection. They are supposedly also working on woolly mammoths, dodo birds and the tasmanian tiger. The tiger would be neat and I could see an argument for that one since people are the reason they went extinct (there are still reports of people seeing them in the wild actually so maybe they’re actually still around).
I just think it’s cool that we can see living examples of extinct species.

Mens NCAA tonight. Masters Thursday. (i know, golf sucks). Draft 24-26. See lots of posts saying we trade down. Who knows. If a team has a player they want at 24 they may give up a chunk.
“Federal inspectors announced the recall of close to 23,000 pounds of Johnsonville cheddar bratwurst shipped to 10 states after plastic was reportedly found in the product by shoppers.”

Like to process meat when i can. Venison, clean your own fish. This over the counter stuff you never really know what’s in it. Has it been froze, thawed and froze again?
Yep. How much hit the floor? Having deer and elk processed by somebody else will not happen either. I’ve seen some nasty things in the back of processors and they like to mix your trim with other peoples’ so you aren’t even getting yours back. You take perfect care of your deer and it gets mixed in with the meat from the guy who gut shot his and left it sitting in the back of his pickup all day in the sun. No thanks.
I started playing with making more sausages the last few years. Last year I got a bunch of pork butt on sale at Costco and made brats and breakfast sausage. Used some pre-ground burger to make some summer sausage and kielbasa as well. I need to do that again. Getting a little low on the brats for the grill supply.
I do the same with Costco and pork butts. My kid shot a moose a few yrs ago and I made liver sausage out of the, well liver. Used a random recipe from the interweb. Got lucky, best sausage I ever made. Smoked it in the 4″ casings.
My buddy has hunting land and nice processing place in garage. Yes, ive dropped off deer at a commercial place and seen nothing but piled carcass. You wonder when you pick up. Is that my corn fed doe or someones swamp buck.
Glad these were not Johnsonville, although I do buy their products often.
These were fresh brats from Hy-Vee.

This is not to be advice as the stock market is a bit of a fickle thing.
But when things are going down, I remember something Warren Buffett used to say. He was asked how he made his money. He replied I buy when everyone else is selling.
The European Union has apparently acquiesced to Trump’s demands following his introduction of retaliatory tariffs, offering a “zero-for-zero” tariff resolution on all industrial goods.
The EU and other countries have manufacturing rules that don’t allow products into their countries, based on their own standards, thus having a tariff without an actual tariff.
Zero for zero may not be enough. And shouldn’t be the automatic end game.
No offense DE, but I’m pretty sure we know what we’re doing in our tariff policy. This stuff is just hot air to me. The objective is really to eliminate tariffs altogether. There is no need for the U.S. to trade freely with a country that tariff’s our goods, while we do not tariff theirs.
Regarding the stock market concerns, I do think Trump is upsetting the world order on purpose. He’s stepping on everyone’s necks and overturning 75 years of economic deals that are negatively affecting our country.
Why should over 50 countries be allowed to tariff our goods, while we don’t tariff theirs?
By the way… all of those countries are calling Trump, trying to make a deal. LOVE it!
All former Democruds were for this, Pelosi, Clinton, Obama, etc but now because Bad Orange Man is doing it is terrible. Just over 4m of clips showing them discussing it.
The Media knows all of that, but it is not the narrative they want to push.
That is the reason no one trusts them and their ratings are below reruns of Sponge Bob Squarepants.
This is what I was explaining to my wife the other day. She was asking what it was all about. I told her Trump’s tariffs were half or less than half of what these countries already charge us….but we’re the bad guys somehow.
“Oh, and also pay for our nation’s defense.”
“Oh, and also pay for our nation’s research.”
“Oh, and also pay for our nation to have [insert LGBTQ program here].”
It’s good to have someone as ballsy and stubborn as Trump to finally put an end to the madness.
Even the conservative economists are now agreeing that Trump’s admin made an error in their Tariff formula by using .25 for the variable “elasticity of import prices with respect to tariffs” instead of the .945 which is the value they should have used for that variable. This mistake appears to have been an accident but it led to tariffs being about 4 times too high on a number of countries.
Trump needs to not be an arrogant ass (that is asking for a lot) and at least decrease the tariffs to the corrected amount.
I am afraid, however, because of his insane ego, he will not…thus pushing the world closer to a deep economic recession which could be avoided he would just admit and correct his mistake.
So are you going to run to be the new Mayor of Minot?
Heard that they have a sudden opening and since you find yourself with some extra time on your hands so……..
So are you going to run to be the new Mayor of Minot?
I have actually been approached by a few people with that in mind. Actually a year or two down the road and I probably would.
Regarding the previous Mayor under question. He actually seems like a decent dude, a bit of a drinking problem but not a bad guy. Like a buddy of mine told me..
we shouldn’t be persecuting him, we should be building a statue in his honor. He is 62 years old, 180 pounds overweight, and can still get a woody up while making a sandwich over his lunch hour. He deserves our reverence.
I don’t give a shit about any stupid “formula’s” that so called “experts” are trying to crow about, just to paint Trump in a poor light.
Here’s the deal. Trump doesn’t care about the math. He knows one thing. Other countries putting tariffs on our goods, while we don’t tariff theirs is STUPID.
Got mine cut Friday. It had been several months and my self trimming wasn’t fixing it enough. Had to visit a pro to hack down the back of my head where I have trouble reaching with my trimmer.
Usually do it at the AFB when we go out there but the barber has been busy the last few times we went.
The gal who cuts my hair left the place where I normally go. I called her and asked if she was still cutting hair. She said she and her boyfriend had been gone several weeks visiting family in North Carolina, and she’d just gotten set up at a new place. Glad she’s back, because she does a perfect job on the cowlick I have on the right side of my head.
I had my Kentucky Cousin explain that a calf will nurse on just about anything put near their mouths.
He said it was ‘all good’ until they ‘nudged it’ to increase the flow.
That was definitely TMI to teenaged me.
My wife has cut my hair for years. She isn’t thrilled about doing it, but it is a lot cheaper. Also, I’m not a Hollywood star, so I don’t need to have my face lifted or a professional haircut.
The Teacher is not a fan of cutting my hair either. Since I only have it done a couple times a year and usually cheaply done at the AF Base I spare her having to do it.
She gets her hair done by a Ex SoCal Lady to was referred by our Ex SoCal Realator/Friend. She had a cancellation right after The Teachers appointment so she was willing to chop off my excess hair for 1/2 the price a Ladies Haircut cost.
I pay $20 for my haircut, and I usually get it done once every three weeks. Unfortunately since my gal wasn’t available, my last haircut was in February.
I shave my head in the shower once a week. Have been for 15 years. It is funny how people that never knew me to not be bald comment that I would look odd with hair, while people who knew me in the way back machine ask what happened to my hair (which I used to keep fairly long and was fairly curly).
My wife also used to say that to me, and finally I just cut it off without her approval. She hated it (she used to like playing with my hair when she was falling asleep), but the bonus was I am ready to go out for the evening at the drop of a hat since I no longer have hair to comb.
I do like to wear a surgical cap at work while doing procedures because a) it looks cool, and b) it catches my sweat…although the real purpose of the cap is to keep your hair from falling into a sterile field.
I find it tough to watch anything from Hollywood these days. Not just because of woke crap (some companies seem to be backing off a lot of that) but because I can’t stand to watch so many celebrities look so terrible with plastic surgery.
Who is the person going around Hollywood telling the most beautiful people in the world that they’re not good enough? Why are they listening, and do they really think it looks better?
It’s not just the older actors and actresses. It’s the younger ones, too.
My wife is tired of me ranting about it when we watch TV, so now you guys have to hear it. 🙂
Had a gal who worked for me years ago take 30 days off, and had some work done on her face. She came back and I barely recognized her. It wasn’t a good change in my opinion.
Same thing happened to me with a neurologist I knew well. Hadn’t seen her for awhile, and an internist came in my office and wanted to discuss particulars on a neuroradiology case he had ordered. I stopped him and asked who the woman was accompanying him, as I did not want to discuss confidential particulars of the case with some random person…she said, “MT, it’s me, Mary…”. Yikes.
The sad part is that those people think things will be so much better after the surgery, when it isn’t then they get depressed and usually decide that another surgery will fix whatever the issue is.
Shock, it doesn’t.
Masters week! There’s going to be some rain coming through this afternoon, but the rest of the week through Sunday looks glorious at the moment. We’ll see how it shakes out. My wife said she’d make me some Korean BBQ short ribs and some other things I like to snack on while I watch.
Short ribs… sounds amazing.
I am so happy there is no snow here, and I finally get to cook outside again.
Yesterday I made Jalapeno Brats and marinated chicken on the smoker.
Nice Surly! Sounds delicious! Love some brats with spaetzle. You probably know that Brat is German for “finely mixed meats” and Wurst is the German word for sausage. I also like red cabbage slaw that my wife makes that is so delicious, or her potato salad with my brats.
I would wait until June or July for buying. But I am shitty at investing.
Only good thing I did was last summer I was worried enough about the Biden/Kamala possibility that I put all of my 401K into a stable fund that did not drop much at all last week. While I missed out on 7 months of higher gains, I did not get murdered either.
Waiting for the shitstorm to settle before I re-allocate.
It could be sooner, could be later. I am just guessing. I am an idiot that has guessed correctly only once or twice in my life. I just think long term.
No. This is short term and overblown to push a narrative.
BREAKING: The market has quickly reversed, wiping out losses and moving rapidly into positive territory, presumably on news the EU is willing to negotiate zero for zero tariffs with the US. https://t.co/CXfPo0q1kVpic.twitter.com/c36BceB1jX
I didn’t look at the numbers but it was positive when I posted it. Looks back in the red a little, but the point stands. Long term, this will be nothing after new trade deals are agreed to.
I don’t disagree with the overall premise, but when “Charlie Kirk” posts 39154 when the actual peak at 1020 was 38706…well there are lies, damn lies, and statistics. I would bristle the same if someone said a large number of young men developed myocarditis from the mRNA COVID vax and then had some ridiculous stat like a relative risk of 0.50 or some such BS.
I stand corrected. Must have happened so quickly that it doesn’t reflect on my minute to minute ticker. Damn computers and their nanosecond stock churning.
Even with the drop of the last couple of days, you’d still be ahead of you would have invested last summer. There were drops as big during the Biden admission but they weren’t talked about by the MSM.
If this is scaring you that much, get off social media and stop watching the news. There were bigger downturns the last 4 years. At worst it’s a correction and the time to buy. The stock market was artificially inflated because of the last minute cash the Biden administration dumped in to the economy on their way out. Jobs numbers are good and manufacturing will be coming back to American soil. Deals will be made with other countries and the”loss”of the last few days will be gone by the end of the month (or week)
I have not changed my 401k contributions. Maybe “Scared” was a strong term. I do not buy individual stocks anymore. I am more risk-averse than when I was younger.
That said, I still want to bet on the Vikings to win a super bowl this year.
I am no expert, but even during this downturn, I have still been putting money into my Roth IRA. I guess I am still looking long term even though I will be semi-retiring at the end of 2026. My wife is younger than I am and will be working for another 7 to 10 years. We do not plan on touching any of our retirement money until after that and probably then only for emergencies or large purchases (such as a vehicle). Of course things can always change, but our plan is that we should be able to live comfortably with our regular expenses on her pension and both of our SS.
Logical.
Even now we bring in more than we spend because we are naturally frugal. So our ‘nest egg’ is getting bigger even with both of us are retired.
I’m hoping that happens for us. We are naturally frugal also. My wife does most of her clothes shopping at thrift stores, not because we have to, but because she wants to. Some of that is the thrill of the hunt.
Generally ‘Buy Low’ is the best strategy. So now is a decent time to get in. It might get lower or start to rebound so it is all a risk.
Thinking of getting some Tesla stock cause the woke will find something else to get outraged about soon.
My advice is to follow the granddaddy of mutual funds advice (John Bogle – Common Sense on Mutual Funds). Buy no load index mutual funds with extremely low costs. If you have a favorite mutual fund firm let google be your guide to their best index funds.
I put mid five figures in IVV on the dip after market opening this morning. That money came from dividends and stock sales that I have been holding in cash. However, market timing does not work, so don’t invest all your savings at a single point in time. Instead, dribble it in 5% at a time month after month…aka dollar cost averaging. In addition to roth 403, 457, 401’s I put as much as we can comfortably tolerate from each pay cheque into low cost index funds week after week after week.
Agreed. When this was released, our Christmas tradition of the parents sending all the kids to a movie so they could play cards and get drunk. Went to Southdale Cinema to see this, and they had pulled a fast one. Instead of the Disney cartoon movie, it was the live action British movie from 1952. Still salty about that one. I left midway through the movie (I was 10) and played pinball in the lobby until our drunk parents picked us up.
I can’t see Rodgers signing with the Steelers. It’s a dead end. At the tail end of his career, I can’t see him being interested in dead ends.
It’s Vikings or bust for him. Or maybe if a QB goes down in season on a contender, he will jump in.
I think Mr. Smugness has been on the record saying he plans to play into his mi-40’s. If he chooses to play week 1 it’ll be with the Stealers. He might hedge his bets by waiting as long as possible hoping for an injury to a starter. Let’s see what Russini and the Athletic predict. 😂
How is it a dead end?
Steelers are a decent team with a history of making the playoffs. Better than where he just came from.
For a year or two he will have a chance if he plays well, no NFL QB can ask more than that. It is not as if he is looking long term at this point.
Steelers always fizzle out. Tomlin is the Ricky Spielman of coaches. Does enough to keep from getting fired but can’t make it over the hump.
It’s all about the big-boy teams. Almost half the league makes the playoffs and almost half the league is sub 500. There are only a couple teams that actually matter. The rest are cannon fodder and illusions from beating sub .500 teams. Steelers are cannon fodder.
If we get our QB, OL and DL figured out, we can matter. We have also been cannon fodder for a long, long time. Hopefully, we swing back into a big boy team in the next couple season. We might be on the verge.
For now, next season will be Bills, Ravens, Chiefs and Eagles, Lions, Rams, because McVay is magic and, hopefully, us.
Maybe Chargers will start getting back in the mix in AFC.
Everyone else should be meaningless if Rodgers wants another shot at the Super Bowl.
I'm a dad, husband, Army vet, believer, and a die-hard, life-long Vikings fan from the great state of North Dakota. I've been a Viking fan dating back to 1980, I've been covering the Vikings for nearly a decade, and I founded Skoloholics in 2022. Big news…. we have released CB Nahshon Wright.
Who?
Making room for one of the CB acquisitions that we keep hearing rumors about.
Trump says no to the EU on zero for zero tariffs.
https://nypost.com/2025/04/07/us-news/eu-offers-to-remove-industrial-tariffs-on-us-goods-ready-for-a-good-deal/
Looks like Trump knows the drill.
If we dramatically affect their economy by making all their products ten times more expensive here, they’ll pass laws, but quick.

I fear the fallout (negative reactions) that would come from it not to mention the senseless loss of life.
Common decency has been abandoned. Crazy. People can’t disagree with somebody without hating them anymore.
‘Common decency’ is a wonderful and meaningful term. Whoever thought it was a good thing to put an end to this. And there’s good manners, and it’s all sort of trashed.

Did they survey only the left or is that number from the entire electorate?
I don’t know, but they used the term “self-identified leftists” which I take to mean 55% of the respondents who identified themselves as a left leaning responder.
Yeah, a bullshit survey, that you “don’t know” enough details about, but feel the need to post on a sports site. C’mon, it’s getting old.
Sorry if I hurt your little feelings there.
The fact is the left is vitriolic, angry, and violent. You guys are really bad for the country.
Ha, your funny. You think words on a commenting section of a sports site hurt my feelings. You post plenty of sensible stuff, but I will call out your bullshit.

Right now, American beef producers are cheering for the Trump tariffs.
“The cattle producers are saying it is about time,” Wyoming Republican Senator John Barasso said.
“Australia has sold $29 billion worth of beef in the United States, and we haven’t been able to sell one hamburger in Australia because of barriers.”
Long overdue for a level playing field. I say tariffic.
Nice!
Brazil & Argentina sell a shitload here, too.
Indeed.
Hey Surly… just saw this:
“Federal inspectors announced the recall of close to 23,000 pounds of Johnsonville cheddar bratwurst shipped to 10 states after plastic was reportedly found in the product by shoppers.”
Saw that yesterday was thinking when you guys were discussing Brats earlier.
Didn’t want to bring down your food discussion.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/company-recalls-nearly-23k-pounds-bratwursts-possible-plastic-contamination
I normally just fly my private jet to Stuttgart to get my brats…
Oh you AF flyboys always showing off.
Laughing. Actually I just ask Tiger if I can borrow one of his.
I get mine from the AFB after they fly them in from Germany.
Cheaper for me that way.
One thing about the commissary, you can find the foods from all over the world you first discovered when you were stationed overseas.
We certainly all of the German traditional foods that show up around Christmas time.
Yep. We make a commissary run every couple months. We have several special foods and cooking ingredients we pick up. Korean and German foods are always high on the list.
Why mostly get meat as it is roughly 25-30% cheaper there.
Other things that are on sale and some speciality items but that is mostly a Christmas thing.
That’s why I make my own now. Plus, I can make lots of different flavors, they’re about half the price and taste way better.
Like brats but the casings seem to be getting tougher. Maybe the years have dulled my teeth.
Ever wonder what really goes inside?
Oh yeah, anything ground.
Brad?
Great movie, Steve Buscemi doesn’t get the credit he deserves for all the great roles he has played.
Depends on the brats. I’m guessing a lot more commercial brats are using collagen casings. I use natural casings and those haven’t changed.
Always be mindful of what you order in a Chinese dinner.
Mystery meat is a real thing.
@they all taste the same@
Once you put enough sauce on them, yes.
Yup, they say it’ll be your venison that you shot, yeah right.
Glad these were not Johnsonville, although I do buy their products often.

Trump-winning-MAGA
“zero for zero” could just be a ploy.

Zero for zero may not be enough. And shouldn’t be the automatic end game.
Yes, and I’m absolutely CERTAIN that Trump doesn’t know that. Come on DE.
I never accused Trump of anything.
You are the one claiming the win on zero for zero. Not Trump.
Oh I’m so shocked that your issue is with me, not Trump DE. So petty.
My issue isn’t with you or Trump.
Merely pointing out that if the EU still demands production controls that essentially is still a tariff, the zero for zero is likely meaningless.
We’ll find out what the EU means at some point.
Im pretty sure this applies to the EU as well.
Their offer was on Industrial Goods, so it is just part of the story.
It’s a good start. Much more negotiating to take place.
Correct.
Other items that make up the tariff besides the % charge.
LOVE it!
A problem not addressed for decades usually takes a little pain to fully right the ship.
Indeed. When you do major surgery, it takes some time to recover.
All former Democruds were for this, Pelosi, Clinton, Obama, etc but now because Bad Orange Man is doing it is terrible. Just over 4m of clips showing them discussing it.
As did several Republicans, but no one had the “political courage” to do anything about it.
Thank you for showing that. We need to make the the mainstream media watch it, and force them to stop lying to the American people.
The Media knows all of that, but it is not the narrative they want to push.
That is the reason no one trusts them and their ratings are below reruns of Sponge Bob Squarepants.
They are such liars.
I would rather watch Sponge Bob than the news.
I think he also wants interest rates to fall, that would make a HUGE difference in the interest payment on the debt in the coming years.
Absolutely. Trump has an actual plan/strategy to get this country out of a $36T debt hole.
So KOC is not a ‘Top 10’ coach even though he is the current NFL Coach of the Year?
https://thevikingage.com/kevin-o-connell-not-top-10-head-coach-according-recent-list-minnesota-vikings
You mean you do not trust the Media or the Paid Experts?
Shame on you!!
Grin
Well Plaid, Rec for you.
Behind Campbell and Sirianni. With all the talents those teams have, I would have success coaching those teams.
i’m laughing at KOC being behind Pete Carroll on this list haha
The worst part is that it’s a “power ranking,” which would naturally make you wonder why KOC and Sirianni aren’t higher on the list.
As long as it is just time on his hands he should be OK.
ewwww
I have actually been approached by a few people with that in mind. Actually a year or two down the road and I probably would.
Regarding the previous Mayor under question. He actually seems like a decent dude, a bit of a drinking problem but not a bad guy. Like a buddy of mine told me..
A North Dakotan with weight and drinking problems??
No way dude!!
.25 versus .945 seems like a staggering error. That said, I tend to listen ‘quietly’ to economists in general – to much theory.
Not to mention they have skin in the game and are using their platforms to push narratives that will make them the most money.
You mean you do not trust the Media or the Paid Experts?
Shame on you!
You mean you do not trust the Media or the Paid Experts?
Shame on you!!

Laughing… well stated SoCal.
Made a hair appointment for tomorrow… wife says I’m looking like a liberal. Grin.
hey we’re gonna be haircut buddies tomorrow
Why are you letting cows lick you?
No kink shaming.
Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it Bow…
I had plenty of cows lick me growing up, but I never just let em, much less enjoyed it. Their tongues are really rough.
Laughing… man, can you literally not take a joke?
I had my Kentucky Cousin explain that a calf will nurse on just about anything put near their mouths.
He said it was ‘all good’ until they ‘nudged it’ to increase the flow.
That was definitely TMI to teenaged me.
Uuuuhhhhh, I’m going to leave that one alone.
‘I’m going to leave that one alone’
Is that a first for you here??
Military haircut – buzz cut with mohawk on the top.
I double dog dare you to do it JR.
Lady who cut my hair yesterday said that is considered a’Viking Cut’ now.
Expect it is due to TV Show.
I’ve cut my own for a couple/few decades. I shower with my barber every morning.
I cut my own hair.
Just did it on Saturday.
I’m not bald.
I went into a hair place to have them cut my new do like 20 years ago.
They pulled out attachments on a razor.
I said screw that.
I buy a new razor with attachments every few years and do it myself.
I pay $20 every three years for a haircut.
What’s the going rate these days?
I pay $20 for my haircut, and I usually get it done once every three weeks. Unfortunately since my gal wasn’t available, my last haircut was in February.
I paid $20 on Friday. It is $15 out at the base.
Tip of course is extra.
I kiss her on the lips as a tip…
So you are giving her ‘just the tip’?
Laughing… clever boy.
I’ve been cutting my own hair for years. I am going bald, so it’s getting easier. Lol.
I was tired of paying $15 for someone to use a razor for 5 minutes. Even a very nice lady who was cutting my hair told me not to tip her.
I’m not saying it looks as nice, but no one cares about my hair anyway.
I shave my head in the shower once a week. Have been for 15 years. It is funny how people that never knew me to not be bald comment that I would look odd with hair, while people who knew me in the way back machine ask what happened to my hair (which I used to keep fairly long and was fairly curly).
I keep asking my wife if I’m at this point yet (I can’t wait, really), but she says I’m not there yet. My hair has hung on far longer than I expected.
😂
A small rant for a Monday morning:
Agreed. Something to the idea of aging gracefully…..
I did not know that before. Obviously I knew what the word wurst meant, but not brat. Thank you for teaching me something.
Welcome MT. I often learn things from your posts by the way.
Been a few years since I’ve done anything in the stock market. Even then it was very minimal.
Looking to buy low and see what happens. What do you guys suggest? I feel like articles online aren’t trustworthy.
Will it take that long to settle?
It could be sooner, could be later. I am just guessing. I am an idiot that has guessed correctly only once or twice in my life. I just think long term.
No. This is short term and overblown to push a narrative.
So… tariffs good?
For every country in the world, yes, except the US.
You might want to check your source. At no point did the DJIA remotely approach 39154 today.
Only Charlie was correct.
It just didn’t stay there long.
I mean, a large number of young healthy men did. Including one on the football field on a Monday Night football game.
If you’re talking about Damar Hamlin’s commotio cardis – that had nothing to do with COVID vaccination.
I’m sure that early bump was from my low 3 figures being invested into my Roth and investment account. I do my part.
Just saw that ‘the market reach 39000 today before heading back down. Not sure which market specifically it was but one of them did.
Dow today per google.

I stand corrected. Must have happened so quickly that it doesn’t reflect on my minute to minute ticker. Damn computers and their nanosecond stock churning.
Highest I’m seeing on the ticker is $38,705. It’s all fake, obviously.
Vegas for corporations.
Even with the drop of the last couple of days, you’d still be ahead of you would have invested last summer. There were drops as big during the Biden admission but they weren’t talked about by the MSM.
Accurate, but I am 61 years old and scared. Hoping to not fully retire until I am 72, but do not need a bloodbath to happen now.
Probably accurate for me. I will keep working just to get out of the house. And I may need to just to have decent medical insurance.
Good stuff. It may take a little longer than the end of month to come fully back,
I am no expert, but even during this downturn, I have still been putting money into my Roth IRA.
That’s smart. If you’re putting money in now you are buying low. Same money two weeks back bought a lot less.
Generally ‘Buy Low’ is the best strategy. So now is a decent time to get in. It might get lower or start to rebound so it is all a risk.
Thinking of getting some Tesla stock cause the woke will find something else to get outraged about soon.
That’s what I thinking of doing as well. (Probably lots of people.)
John Bogle is da bomb.
I’m feeling like this right now:
Well stated.
I have been in CD’s @5% the last 4 years.
Didn’t trust the liars with Biden in office.
I am now selling those and buying in a week at time.
I’m still at 90% cash and 10% stocks, but I will buy in every few days.
But yes.
Start buying up to your comfort level.
Mondays…
this was my favorite robin hood movie growing up
Or maybe if a QB goes down in season on a contender, he will jump in.
i’d agree with this. the Steelers are screwed
I think Mr. Smugness has been on the record saying he plans to play into his mi-40’s. If he chooses to play week 1 it’ll be with the Stealers. He might hedge his bets by waiting as long as possible hoping for an injury to a starter.
Let’s see what Russini and the Athletic predict. 😂
That is reasonable.
Now you jinxed it. 😁
‘Steelers always fizzle out’
“Past results are no guarantee of future returns’ especially in the short term which is what The Douche is looking at.
