I don’t have many thoughts tonight, it’s late and I’m tired. I put on about 600 miles yesterday and covered much of the western half of North Dakota. Lots of podcasts. I’m really looking forward to catching a bit of training camp, I’m REALLY excited for the 2025 NFL season.

Ravens pull it off…
Anthony Richardson sustained a dislocated finger on his right hand during Thursday’s preseason contest at Baltimore and doesn’t have a timetable for his return.
Richardson and Daniel Jones have been embroiled in a QB competition since the start of the offseason program, but Richardson got the first chance to lead the Colts offense this preseason. Unfortunately for Richardson, he took a big hit from Ravens defender David Ojabo in the first quarter, exited the game and was ruled out not long afterward.
Considering his injury history as a pro, it’s unclear when Richardson may be cleared for on-field work, let along game action.

Texans DB Jimmie Ward has been arrested a second time, per police reports.
He was arrested on June 12th for a family violence incident.
The Ravens rookie CB Bilhal Kone tore his ACL and MCL in tonight’s preseason game vs the Colts, per sources.
The 6th-rounder out of Western Michigan was having an excellent camp and will now miss the entire 2025 season..

Update: The initial fear earlier today was a torn ACL for C.J. Gardner-Johnson. But further tests indicate the ACL appears to be intact. He’s still undergoing additional evaluations, but there’s hope this isn’t as bad as initially feared.

They are up 21-9 on the Colts.

Anthony Richardson took a big hit on a sack against the Ravens, and Daniel Jones came in on 3rd and long, then the Colts punted. The Ravens had to punt it back. Waiting to see if Richardson is coming back in.

I read that too. Also read where there are “multiple reports” suggesting that detainees are dealing with worms in their food, inadequate sanitation, extreme heat without effective air conditioning, and overcrowding. A “former employee” stated that detainees can face harsh punishments like being chained to the ground or forced to stand in the hot sun for hours at a time. Yet the site has been visited many times and the folks say it’s fine. That is, except the Dem’s who toured it and tried to tell everyone it was terrible. Unfortunately for them, the site has been filmed many times, and it looks clean, and very well managed. Also, this isn’t a prison. It’s a processing center. Detainees come in, are processed, and then flown out to their deportation destination.
Hey JR, we’re getting some significant thunderstorms here.
We are too. And we got really destroyed on Tuesday late afternoon. One hit just across the street, wiped out our pool controller board, landscape lighting transformer and two TV’s in the house.
They say Orlando is the thunderstorm capital of the world and I sure believe it.
Wow… that’s some hit. We had a bolt that I saw hit outside the bedroom window in the woods behind the house. Huge thunderclap right as I saw the bolt, so yeah it was right on top of us. Made the kittens nervous, and they jumped up onto the bed with me. We call them kittens but they’re over two years old, close to three.
Oh yea, animals have great respect for Mother Nature.
Rickie Fowler shot a good 4 under par 66 today with no bogies. He’s tied for 7th and that high a finish at the end of the tournament could get him into the top 50, and get him into the tournament next week. He tees off second to last tomorrow, so he’ll have a real good idea of how low he needs to go to stay in contention.

The Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, has joined a lawsuit that would block President Trump from placing a ban on sex change surgeries for minors. He then took it even farther and criticized his state’s Senate bill that would ban biological men from competing in women’s sports.
He’s someone that is considered a viable Presidential candidate in 2028 for the Dem’s.
Every Democrat in the country that has dreams of running for President in four years is ‘required’ to do something like this as a sort tough enough test.
Shapiro is Jewish and as such doesn’t have a snowballs chance in today’s Democratic party.

A 22-year-old active-duty soldier assigned to Fort Bliss was arrested Wednesday on charges of attempting to transmit national defense information to a foreign adversary and unlawfully exporting controlled technical data without the required authorization.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office released a press release on Wednesday, announcing the charges against Taylor Adam Lee, 22, for allegedly utilizing his top secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance to send sensitive information to Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
“From approximately May 2025 through the present, Lee sought to establish his U.S. Army credentials and send U.S. defense information to Russia’s Ministry of Defense. In June 2025, Lee allegedly transmitted export-controlled technical information on the M1A2 Abrams Tank online and offered assistance to the Russian Federation,” the release read.

This is correct. A census is required every 10 years by the Constitution. It doesn’t say only every 10 years. If a citizenship growth rate or decline is significant before ten years, a more accurate census is logical.
I’m still wondering why illegal aliens are counted as part of the population of the Congressional Districts.
People are fleeing Blue States, and the Dem’s are trying to offset that with the influx of illegal aliens. That should not be allowed.

I may end up in AZ by myself if the arthritis continues to get worse. Cold and humidity both bother me a lot.
Every winter I hate it more. We have family that can afford multiple homes. One has perm residency in CA and lives here 5 months out of the year, to SAVE money on taxes. That is how bad MN is. Taxes are worse than CA.

My guess is he was told to stick to the script in the preseason so they could evaluate players and he was ad libbing too much. If it was because he was too good, then he would have caught on somewhere. He wasn’t even good enough for the startup USFL or whatever they called it.

I think it was Polian and somebody else yesterday on XM radio talking about how Addison is going to get over $30 million for a contract, so apparently at least some think he is pretty good too. I’m guessing the 3 game suspension is leaking in plus the national bias of trying to ignore anything Vikings.

I wouldn’t go that far. The object is to get a catchable ball to the receiver, that the defender can’t get to. Both balls were extremely catchable. Perfect? No. But solid throws.

The FedEx St. Jude Championship is getting underway this morning. First of the three tournaments to determine the winner of the FedEx Cup. Rory is skipping this tournament, so only 69 of the top 70 are playing. Players are trying to get into the top 50, for next week’s tournament. It all depends on where they finish, and how many points they earn. Next week they will cut from the top 50, to the top 30.
There are also some key tournament spots for next year on the line in the “Signature” events which are big, limited field, no cut events. Get into the top 50, you get into the signature events.
First step, finish high enough this week, to get into next week.
Watching preseason football holds little interest for me. I may watch the Vikes, just to see JJMac, but it is rare for me to tune into a game.
I enjoy watching the Vikings so I can see how the backups do, but if I have on any other preseason game, it will just be for background noise.
What kills it for me is not knowing the players. Who is 96? 85? Etc. I reading all the post game stuff, but i yend to wait to watch
my kids, who blossomed into BIG Vikings fans last year, under the tutelage of me, are VERY excited for 3pm saturday.
Oldest (Daughter): It’s kind of crazy football has started, it feels like we were just super sad they lost in the playoffs (oh honey, if you only knew)

Ha, I’m the same way. Clear the schedule when vikings play. I never miss a regular season game. Vikes play on Xmas day this season and I’ve already told my family that I’m not participating if they don’t have Netflix.

Actually I have watched many a Vikings game hours or even a day after conclusion, and have only once known the outcome because one of my buddies texted me despite my insistence on tight comms.
With phone notifications and fantasy football, that would be impossible for me.

Exactly, enjoy that time if they want to watch. My sons are 24 and 21 and they still try to watch vikes with me if their schedule allows them to. Sometimes I feel bad for raising them cheering for the purple, but love the time with them. Kids grow up fast, bow.
Just think how great it is going to be in February watching JJ raise that Lombardi together.
Man, would be great. I told my boys, when that happens, they will see me cry tears of joy. SKOL!
Ha, yup, I do know, but I prefer to watch live, otherwise it’s way too hard not to hear what happened before I can watch replay. And I prefer to watch it on my big screen TV, not a stinking computer or handheld device.
