CBS Sports looks at what a Sam Darnold extension could look like for the Vikings. Man, I’d love to have Sam around, but I don’t think there’s a snowball’s chance in the pit of hades that he’s a Viking next year. He’ll have numerous offers from teams who want to make him a starter, I don’t see him turning that down and agreeing to come be a backup just because he likes it here.
At Vikings.com, they see where the Vikings land on the various NFL power rankings, their six-game win streak propelling them upward. They also look at the Vikings’ playoff status after week 14. I like these conversations MUCH better than the conversations we’ve had some years when the playoffs aren’t in reach & we have to start discussing the draft by week 14…….or earlier.

From Sports Illustrated, we find out who the announcers and analysts will be for the Netflix Christmas NFL games. I guess they announced who the announcers will be.
USA Today lists all qualifying NFL quarterbacks, ranked in order by QBR as we head into week 15. QBR is only one metric, so the list won’t be very accurate. They have Derek Carr and Jameis Winston ahead of Sam Darnold.
CBS Sports tells us which teams can clinch a playoff spot this week, and what needs to happen for them to clinch it.
Joe Burrow’s home was broken into while he was playing football Monday Night, story from ESPN. They say we aren’t supposed to announce when we’ll be away from our home to help prevent this type of thing. It would be hard for Burrow to keep his whereabouts on Monday secret. You’d think he’d have a security system. If I had his kind of cash, I sure would.

I don’t know. Few years back AFC North was loaded with four good teams that would best the hell out of each other and hurt their records. Winner deserves to host.
But on the flip side, how many times have the NFC East teams made the playoffs, just because 6 of their games are against the NFC East teams. Much like the NFC South or AFC South right now.
Many years ago the NFC East had Gibb’s Redskiins, Parcell’s Giants, Ryan’s Eagles, and Landry’s Cowboys – they beat the hell lot of each other every week. Believe there’s nine SB’s there too.

It sounds like they are larger drones than the one I have, but the photos I have seen have shown them to have their localization lights on…doesn’t seem like something someone with nefarious ideas would do (leave the lights on).

My wife patiently explained the Sunshine Act and that you can look up any gifts to providers in the Open Payments section on CMS website. He kept doubling down on his vast intellect, such that a local optometrist started throwing a little catnip into his playpen. My wife shared that according to the Open Payments act, my lifetime gifts from Big Pharma equate to $10.80 for a couple of pieces of pizza and a salad from Siemens Healthcare in 2019. I am so ashamed.

I’ve got a custard bismark and a coffee protein shake. Let’s do this…
Week 14 can bite me. After a great performance last week, I went down into the dumps again this week. It’s not really my fault, though. What is a guy supposed to do when the Bills can’t win with a QB who rushes for three TDs and throws three TDs in the same game? Losers. Then you have teams like Dallas who still don’t know how punts work. Also losers.
Apparently, a lot of Dallas fans also don’t know how punts work, as it was fun to watch them wail and gnash their teeth about that rule, almost as much fun as watching Packers fans wail and gnash their teeth because Goff tripped, went down to a knee and wasn’t called down last week. Say “I have no idea how football works” without saying “I have no idea how football works,” right?
Yes, I am a small man for enjoying these kinds of things. I can live with that.
But, let’s focus on the positive and give JacksonVike his moment in the sun. He scored the most points this week. The Bills game paid off for him big, too. He took the Rams in that game for a whopping 11 points. Did he know something we didn’t? I will get my lawyers on it. Rest assured, this league’s integrity will be maintained!
There’s been a bit of shuffling in the standings.
Little Fishin’ has climbed back into the top 10, passing BowBunch. These guys get somewhat of a handicap because they missed scoring for a week here and there. In reality, they should each have like another 1000 points, so they are actually in the lead if you factor that in. At least, that is what I would tell myself if I were them…
We have our first tie that I can remember in 8 & 9. JacksonVike and Freezy are deadlocked at 1097. Fortunately, we have a tie-breaker system here. Whoever sends me the best nude photo will have -50 points deducted and also receive the bill for whatever PTSD counseling will be required for me.
