Vikings @ Raiders
Wow, Sunday’s game was not easy to watch. The score would indicate a defensive battle. Well, it was more a battle of two inept offenses for 95% of the game. Mullens came in at QB for the Vikings and provided the only offensive spark for either team in that game. It was enough to get 3 points, which was laughably enough to win the game.
Josh Dobbs
Josh Dobbs did not look good……again. After an abysmal performance against Chicago, he put up an evem worse performance against the Raiders. He did not look happy. As a matter of fact, he looked miserable, and benching him was the humane thing to do. I like Josh Dobbs and hope the best for him in whatever he does, but he was just not able to mentally handle being a starting NFL quarterback.
He put up a spectacular opening performance against the Falcons when he was unexpectedly thrust into the starting role. He followed that up with another great performance for the first half of his second game against the Saints, his first start as a Viking. The offense stagnated in the second half of the Saints game but the team (barely) preserved the win they had built.
In those first two games, Dobbs played loose and looked like he was having a good time. He was decisive and able to make some great plays with his arm and his legs. In the next two games, he did not look happy anymore, and by the Bears game, he looked downright miserable. You could see that he was not comfortable, and his play showed it. He threw several interceptions and threw in a fumble or two. On Sunday, he seemed afraid to throw the ball, and he had zero confidence. I felt bad for the kid. Like I said, KOC did him a favor by taking him out.
In the end, the Vikings got a W, and they tied an NFL record for fewest total points in an NFL game (it’s happened 6 times prior to Sunday, the most recently in 2007). Hey, KOC was just being efficient. There is absolutely NO reason to score more points than is necessary to win. They may need those points later in the year, so it was wise of KOC to save some for later. That’s why he’s a coach and we’re not.
Vikings Quarterback Position
I think Mullens is a solid replacement QB, and will do the job well enough to at least give the team a chance in their games going forward. If he falters or is injured, Hall is waiting in the shadows for another shot. The Lions are stumbling hard heading into the final leg of the regular season, and the Vikings play them twice in the next four games. You never know what will happen, but it could be a fun finish. Get hot at the right time, get into the playoffs, and try to make some noise. SKOL!!!!
Minnesota Vikings Discussion Topic of the Day
Would you prefer to see Mullens or Hall lead the team the rest of the way this season?
Alternative topic: The Eagles have a point differential of only +21 this year. Does that mean that they are a fraud? I was told last year that point differential was a crucial stat and true indicator of a team’s strength.

- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.

Joe Webb and Mullens in the same photo? Fuck yeah!
The Bengals with Jake Browning under center the last two games, have scored 34 points in each of those contests and won. Browning is looking very strong.
The Bengals are currently 3.5-point favorites (-110) and the over/under point total is 39.
‘last two games’
Against Indy and Jax, two respectable teams.
Both are currently in Playoff positions.

This guy should sue the hell out of the NFL and the media.
Sure the NFL for what? He has no legal standing for that, the media reported what was happening legally, again no standing, so he should sue is the accuser for defamation.
I know it’s a stretch to sue the NFL, but he was cut because of the false allegations. Plenty of people on the media we’re calling for him to be cut due to these allegations. They can be sued for defamation.
Very happy to see Mullens getting the start Saturday. I’m not saying he’s great, but I think he’ll do a better job of getting the ball out on time, to the right guy, than Dobbs did.
We have one of the most talented receiving corps in the league. The J-birds can get it done, if the QB does his job.
here’s to hoping we can get one or two of our starting Oline back……
that’s gonna probably make or break the game IMO
Ingram sucks so no real difference there but they need O’Neill back
Quissenberry did ok in relief at LT, hopefully he does as well at RT if necessary.
Sprained ankle – lots of good tape and good meds.
Thought he took O’Neills’s spot. Must admit, didn’t watch alot.
I believe he is the Back Up Swing Tackle so I suspect he did, although I had not heard that specifically. Or how he did in relief.
If you believe in pff, which I mostly don’t, he wasn’t bad
vikings Week 14 OL PFF grades (overall/run block/pass block/pressures allowed):
Darrisaw 67.8/59.0/84.0/2
Risner 61.9/51.3/85.2/1
Bradbury 60.0/57.0/65.1/3
Brandel 52.7/51.0/72.2/3
Quessenberry 69.8/73.8/63.5/4
O’Neill 66.0/65.5/64.1/2
He wasn’t an embarrassment after O’Neill went down, he does have experience as a starter as well.
Be nice to get O’Neill back healthy.
He’s looked below average to almost bad the last couple of games.
Yup. Really struggled with Crosby.
My kid was at the raiders game and he was texting me. Occasionally I’d get a txt saying “For Pete’s sake pull the frick’n trigger!” Obviously he had the all 22 to see, he told me it was much worse in person, than what we saw on TV.
You have been preaching Mullins for several weeks now.
Going on about how he was so good at slinging it but as a rookie he threw too many int. About how he should have outgrown/matured past that by now.
You have finally convinced me, so if/when it doesn’t work I will have only you to blame.
#snicker
Laughing… I’ll accept the blame. I actually do think Mullens will put points on the board with his arm though. He’s been here two years now. He should have enough command of the offense to execute it decently.
Mullens can get the ball downfield accurately, the problem for him in his career has been a propensity for throwing picks downfield. Hopefully he’s learned something over his 17 and doesn’t do that now he’s the starter.
I agree. Mullens likes to throw the ball, and he has put up plenty of yards and TD’s with his arm. Just needs to have a little more discipline and throw it away when the play isn’t there. That said, all QB’s get fooled in the NFL, as pro defenses are experts at disguising coverages. Hopefully he can limit his mistakes, while making hay with our receivers.
If he can protect the football and have the confidence to pull the trigger on shot plays I like our chances to beat Cincinnati. Defensive has played lights out. Offense needs to help them by sustaining drives, avoiding 3 and outs and keeping the field flipped to where Cincy’s possessions start from inside their own 30 if possible. IMO Mullens is a better natural thrower with visibly more arm talent than Dobbs. They both have accuracy issues and obviously Mullens doesn’t have the mobility of Dobbs. All that said, I think Mullens can get the job done as long as we DON’T TURN THE BALL OVER!
Concur… protect the ball!
Will Kirk show up on the sidelines like a real teammate?
“Durrr Kirko chains! HOF bound! Manning Cast Kohls Cash! KIRKO MVP PAY HIM” – Hows that did I cover all the delusional bases?
Playoff team now, guaranteed SB if Kirko was still around! Greatest QB to ever wear the purple and gold by a mile!!!
Thanks for the info – I just put a $100 on us making the playoffs!
He shouldn’t be on the sidelines at food point in his recovery
why not?
Rodgers was/is?
Buts it’s cool to go to a foreign country walking around?
Its cool to serve food in a cast?
Because it’s pointless and his ability to move out of the way is limited, Rodgers didn’t have the exact same injury and him being a virtue signaling attention whore shouldn’t change what Kirk does, almost all players with season ending injuries don’t hang out on the sidelines
Yeah, I mean look at Burrow. Would Kirk have anything to provide on the sideline anyway? Would he have anything to talk about other than all of his Kohl’s cash? I don’t care much either way if he’s there or not other than he made a point to say he would be there to help the other guys.
Think i’d be more worried on sideline with a lower body injury, perhaps it has nothing to do with it in this case.
I had a knee replacement and your mobility/ healing is about the same as this. and I would have been absolutely nuts to be standing on the sideline at a football game.
Get some violent stuff on sidelines. That guy on the chains this past week, ouch.
Yea. this little discussion is a bit crazy. Just falling down is a big deal.
The only way he could actually help is in the meeting rooms and game preparation and even then that’s the coaches jobs
So Kirks QB talent isn’t needed to chat with the other QBs giving input?
Bills Hamlin
I just find it interesting.
I think most players are at the game be it on the sidelines or a suite.
It’s boring and you just come across as anti Kirk, another way to denigrate him, which old tired and boring. He isn’t the QB so I don’t see why people keep bringing him up, honestly it’s just pathetic at this point from both points of view.
wrong Waldo
don’t know why i was looking at an old report from september, but we have metellus locked through 2025, that’s good for us. he’s been a stud.
hunter and wonnum gonna get paid, wonder if it will be with us, doubtful.
Flores is great but he has to have some talent to. work with. Hunter has been a stud, maybe find a way.
And thank goodness we have had the couch with us this year.
ugh, now THAT was a waste of money (fair point though…he was really good when played)
If you weigh the money against actual minutes played, he’s an expensive dude.
At least the Vikings are getting like a buck fifty back in cap space from him in 2024.
Think Wonnum gets more elsewhere.
Thought Titans were toast, missed walk off FG for gnats and Wolves got kicked. No sports on tonight. Good.
Thankfully Dobbs is benched.
https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1734683494931202233?s=20
Finally KOC ‘woke’ up.
Yeah, to me, and most of us fans and other people with eyeballs it seemed obvious that the QB should be anyone but Dobbs, took KOC a week longer though.
while i was annoyed that Dobbs started, i can see why KOC gave it one more try.
Now he knows, Dobb’s sucks. the end. (in the infamous words of benjadumdum)
I still can’t understand why he started Dobbs against the raiders, or why he waited 55 minutes into the game to make the change
i was utterly shocked when dobbs started the 2nd half. absolutely shocked.
Sheer stupidity.
*2 weeks too long
It was always going to be him this week. Any one who doesnt over analyze could see that
LOL
“Game manager”.
well, hopefully JJ plays and makes it that much easier for Mullens.
Yeah, and hopefully Mullens doesn’t try to inflict injuries to JJs internal organs like Dobbs did
mullens is WAY better at passing than Dobbs, i aint worried.
See Mullens has been named starter for Saturday’s game. Backup still undecided.
We know Dobbs ain’t the guy… Fuckin give Hall a chance.
we want to win, which is why mullens is starting (until mullens sucks then i will call for hall to start)
Same here. zHall will get his time(sometime). But for now, let’s hope Mullens has some solid performances.
Freezey was wrong to return the mug…that gym would have been happy to decrease its “lost and found” inventory…Now they just have to figure out what the hell to do with it. After a month Freezey was doing them a favor by taking it.
They’re gonna catch him putting it back and wonder what the hell he’s doing.
Well in a couple of weeks if it is still there he can honestly say ‘I am the one who put it there’.
that is thievery
If I find an arrowhead in the hills and buttes around here and take it home, is that thievery? Asking for a friend.
Yes, that belongs to the natives and the government.
Oh, and mother earth. Almost forgot that one.
No
Actually that’s a felony to be in possession of Native Artifacts…
mt viking……..
Heh heh I love this stuff some people walked across a land bridge centuries ago and eventually some teenager lost an arrow while snogging with his girlfriend in the sagebrush. Pick up that arrowhead and felony.
I remember finding remnants of what we’ll call sheep blinds in the mountains outside of Cody years ago. I wouldn’t have had a clue what I was looking at if I hadn’t just learned about the Sheep Eater Indians. It was kind of cool to see the layout of em when I knew what I was looking at.
Yup. It’s like finding 10 bucks on the street and it’s been there every day for a week. Just pick it up.

I’m guessing dildos and sex dolls
Not a bad guess.
Just the usual hidden camera in a clothes hook thingy.
Most people have them in their guests rooms, right?
You wood
Nice breakdown of Dobbs last play before getting pulled.
Looks like KOC dialed up a shot play, it was there, And Dobbs never even looked that way.
https://x.com/LukeBraunNFL/status/1734647462923485559?t=_KDcivYsBEJtCZQaAW_sVA&s=19
Dobbs sucks, the end.
True statement is true.
What are the odds he starts next Saturday?
Based on an informed person’s observations of the last 3 games zero. Based on whatever KOC’s delusional decision making process, 50/50. I question KOC’s playcalling at times but sticking with Dobbs last week makes me seriously question everything else about him.
was a great play design
a simple read on the single high safety would have clarified where to go.
I was pretty stoked yesterday, have been getting some help being more assertive (thanks Freeze for the ball kicks) and I’m in this virtual meeting listening to others say well we don’t really want to but if you really need us to…and you know, we do a lot of gouging maybe we would take a cut in pay…and I was all no way you got a guy there reading 18! studies a day and I’m eternally over 100 and you want me to work longer hours well it won’t happen not resigning today but just so you know you formally ask me to do so and I’ll be looking for other work, and BTW I’m not leaving GDV so that will be some sweet PR and then I shut up. No “I don’t really want to” or “please like me I’ll do more crap”. Nervous laughter and then they were like well MT would be impossible to replace. Apparently they don’t have a lot of people beating down the door to practice out here. Huh.
Standing up for yourself is ‘self care’.
I know they weren’t expecting it. I believe they thought I would cave as I have in the past and they could use me as a fulcrum to pressure the other regional rads. That’s my explanation for why they insisted on my attending the meeting.
I have been working with The Teacher for years on this same issue.
The culture at the school is to be co-operative and helpful. But then admin uses that to guilt teachers into doing more and more.
‘If you really cared about the kids you would volunteer for [fill in the blank]’.
She has gotten away from almost all of it, although this being her last year make that easier.
And the God damn admins get fatter and happier all the time while the Teachers are asked to do more and more…..
Sorry, you triggered me.
I get triggered when they say that they don’t have $$ for raises or Classroom Aids but they have the money to hire an Associate Superintendent, two Assistant Superintendents, plus dozens of extra staff to work at the District offices.
And by work I mean mostly sit around, gossip, drink coffee and try to look busy. And most of those new hires are related to those upper management types.
exactly
That is the classic administration tool, guilt the hardest workers to give a little more. I’ve just had enough, any more and I risk burning out. My wife has her finger on my pulse and said I cannot push any harder, and she is right.
A couple of phrases from the Army come to mind.
“You alway end up working you best people the most”
“The reward for doing a good job is always more jobs”
I get “rewarded” with extra emergency exams throughout my day when I have a full schedule and the other doctor who works with me has a much lighter schedule and more openings. I complained about her always telling staff to schedule the pts with me because she can’t/doesn’t want to see them. You know what I get told? “Well, things aren’t fair, we know you can handle it and she can’t, so that’s just how the world works and you have to deal with it.”
Yep, I get the urgent difficult pts, personality disorders, intoxicated, etc because ” I am so good with them”. I don’t mind seeing my own nut jobs, but I don’t like routinely seeing others, because for the most part I still try to treat them well. It ain’t easy.
Same thing happened in my intern year with the other intern on adult medicine rotations. We were capped at 30 patients but I got 20 of those and of those all were higher complexity. Almost word for word what they told me.
$$$$$!
Frustrating, right? It’s like, step up and share the load – you shouldn’t catch breaks all the time due to your incompetence. That’s how it goes, though.
Yep,
The Teacher (and her BFF) get all the problem children assigned to her room because ‘they can handle them’.
BFF is just very strict so the parents often move the ‘Problem’ (because that is how they became a ‘Problem’ in the first place).
Of course when they move the ‘Problem’ they move them to The Teachers room because the other 1st grade teachers can’t handle them.
They ignore the fact that when you put the ‘Problems’ together they multiply exponentially.
Do you have fast enough interweb to read from home? How much of your current practice consists of procedures?
Yes, and I do have a home workstation. I read from home a couple of hours every Saturday and Sunday. In fact, I like to pause the football game at stressful moments and “relax” by reading some broken bone films or cancer studies for a few minutes. I get calls to review studies many weekends.
I do 1-2 procedures a day, and some are esoteric enough (by design) that I can’t be easily replaced by any of the other 22 rads in the group (not that they want to be in GDV). BC has a contract to staff a full time rad at GMC.
If I left BC, I’d explore whether they would enforce non compete clause by making inquiries at GMC. The GMC CEO (employed by BC) is not stupid, he knows what I bring to the table. We get referrals from Pwood, Scobey, Culbertson, miscellaneous NW ND counties, Circle, Wibaux, Beach, Baker, and Ekalaka consistently. I’ve grown imaging volume over 100% in two years. If I couldn’t work for GMC then I would flip to VRad, Sanford, or some Florida group and read from home.
I am just over 97th percentile productivity per national data (Sullivan Cotter). They know I’m a golden egg laying goose (cause providers, techs and patients find me professional, accurate, fast and easy going); they just aren’t used to me telling them that, or that I won’t budge. I told them that if off hours preliminary interpretation of studies by VRad is costing them money they need to figure out how to make it revenue neutral, it’s not my fault that by growing business over 100% that after hours utilization has risen, duh, by over 100%.
Anyhow, enough about me. Ben is right, I milked the GMC CEO to learn how to baffle them with administrativese by pulling numbers.
Always helpful to throw their own Numbers/Verbage back at them.
At the prison if we had a ‘sketchy use of force’ report to write the best way to proceed would be to quote the policy and cite where it was located. (Sketchy as in ‘we don’t want you to be mean to inmates so please don’t do that’, not as in ‘it is not allowed/legal’)
Much hard to point the finger of blame at someone when you wrote/enforce the policy.
best way to respond to stuff like that is to go to financials, if I were you I’d start asking for financial documents specific to how much revenue you create vs how much it costs them to pay you, I’m guessing they’ll stfu pretty quick
Correct.
I do employee production analysis.
It varies a bit based on the type of work done.
Yeah, I hate quickbooks but it is useful in that regard, I can also pull up how much money our CFO or other people have saved us. It always comes down to money.
there was talk yesterday about the off sides call for Toney in the Chiefs game. Correct call.
Saw something today. Toney lined up off sides all day long from the slot (at least five times) and it was never called – play after play.
Only on the last time for the TD.
Good call, but kind of strange.
Chiefs wanted a warning.
I guess refs gives warnings.
Why I don’t know.
Depends on the script whether or not a warning is given.
Toney never looked or asked for help(warning) the entire game and he lined up off sides all game. But it only got called that last time for some reason.
Saw a Fan Video of that play and Toney lined up, looked at pointed to the sideline ref and turned back immediately before the ref could give any response.
But why didn’t the refs call it all game – he lined up off sides all game. And they only called it a penalty on the game wining TD.
that’s what’s strange.
Yeah.
I didn’t see a flag thrown when the ball was snapped.
If it was a penalty at that point why not throw the flag at that point.
Video was short though so maybe Sideline Ref was still reaching for it.
If I was a conspiracy theorist I’d say – the NFL is entertainment. The Chiefs are going to make the playoffs even if they lose. we want the Bills in the playoffs. A timely flag can help, especially if we see something we can call anytime, especially at a critical moment.
Just saying.
Seemed like they may have waited until the results of the play were known before deciding if the penalty should be called.
UnPossible I know.
The flag was thrown immediately when the ball was snapped.
Yep, I just saw that, too. Flag is up in the air as Mahomes is pulling away from center.
The flag might have been thrown before the ball was snapped. If there was anything different about it, I would lean towards the ref got pissed that Toney merely glanced the ref’s direction, before he was even set, and didn’t wait long enough for the ref to tell him he was too far forward. It’s like a kid asking if he can have candy while they’re digging through the bucket and scarfing down a candy bar before the parents are even allowed to answer. Kid may have went through the motions of asking, but

Moral of the story: we need artificial intelligence reffing the game consistently. Take humans out of the process.
Might as well use AI bots for the players too.
Someone has to program the AI Bot.
Pukers would still get the favorable programe.
this reminds me of something i learned in a parenting class once.
the threatening and repeating parent: the one who will sit and say “don’t do that or else” and that’s all they ever really do. well of course a kid will think they can keep getting away with stupid things if they aren’t worried there will be an actual consequence to their actions. So after a myriad of threats and such, when a parents finally decides enough is enough, it’s more on the parents for their empty threats, that their kid keeps doing stupid, wrong things, than the kid since they have no fear of consequence….
well, in this case, in the football game, Toney kept getting away with it. He was doing wrong, and had no consequences all game….so why would he think something bad will happen? its the refs fault. I change my tune now, it’s ALL the refs fault
I’d bet if they had called him off sides in the first quarter – the first time he did it- he wouldn’t have been off sides at the end of game.
thus my point.
it’s the ref’s fault and the nfl is rigged
How does somebody making millions of dollars to play WR not know how to line up properly and actually check with the ref? I quit playing football in 9th grade and knew to check your alignment.
Bet they have to remind refinery workers all the time not to smoke around the distillation tower.
Not in my experiences. As it turns out when a guy knows he’s working in an environment where a screw up can take out half the town of Billings they tend to remember things like that. The fire last spring was pretty spectacular though at one of them. Don’t remember what happened (valve leak and pipe failure I believe) but it put the refinery down for quite awhile.
I was teasing…I was thinking of scenarios where the operator should not have to be reminded of the risk of deviating from expected behavior.
Oh I know, I was just thinking about how big some of the fires I’ve seen at the refineries around here have been. I think I’d be more worried about being around things like HF acid if it were me. An explosion would likely be a quick way to go. Burning in acid would suck ass. A friend of mine got a little, like half a drop, on his hand once and the hole kept getting bigger for a week or two and there was nothing to do. It had been cleaned, repeatedly and they kept treating it somehow but he ended up with a chunk missing like a massive inverted wart. No thanks.
That is indeed stupid. but it was called ONE time all of last year for all the games and all the plays. this year has been called 11 times as they are cracking down on lineman on short yardage.
Mahomes was correct when he said in seven years he had never seen it called caused it hadn’t been. For all we know, Toney could have been lining up off sides all yesr.
Exactly, Idle threats are worse than worthless, they actively encourage bad behavior.
The Teacher deals with this at the beginning of every school year. Kids of poor parenting are not used to subjected to consequences for their actions.
100%
in my opinion, while yes, bad kids are indeed bad, it’s usually fueled by lazy parents unwilling to discipline when discipline is needed. so in a twist of fate, a naughty kid is usually caused by the parent being lazy.
so in terms of my original point. it’s all the refs. (said facetiously)
I finally figured out why the receivers point at the linesman. I always thought they were saying something like “watch me run me zoom zoom zoom”. Ah, they are looking for a thumbs up for their lineup.
Lol… yup. It’s a common thing. Most receivers are taught to check with the ref – it’s one of their jobs when asked pre-snap by a player regarding LoS. There’s a Hard Knocks from a few years ago with the Bengals where their receivers coach tells his guys ‘when in doubt, ask the ref’
the problem is why didn’t they call him off sides all day?
It’s a great question. Perhaps the other times weren’t scoring plays and they felt justified as the play in question would’ve potentially changed the outcome of game (time left on the clock and who knows if Buffalo scores again but their history at Arrowhead says they’re capable) Who knows? Timing of the call is peculiar but it happens.
So whether or not it was a penalty is dependent on the results of the play??
@sounds logical@
Appeared so. That play in particular.
i didn’t watch the game…
did they throw the flag at the very beginning of the play, or did they confer AFTER the play and then call the penalty
Immediately upon the ball being snapped so the outcome of the play was unknown.
The game was actually over and the fans had left the stadium, when the refs were headed down the tunnel to the locker room they got to talking and decided that should have been a penalty. Was a big undertaking getting the teams back on the field, one of the players didn’t get a chance to rinse out the shampoo and now has a terrible case of dandruff.
reminds me of the song distance by cake…
As they speed through the finish, the flag gets thrown
The fans get up and they get out of town
The arena is empty except for one man
Still crying and whining as much as he can
The sun has gone down and the moon has come up
And long ago the bills left with the win
But Pat’s crying and whining and complaining about the refs
And thinking of someone for whom he can blameeeee
that they did call it only when it did make a difference is what is suspect.
Not only did he line up offsides on that play, the RT was way off the line of scrimmage and could easily have been called for illegal formation. Stfu KC.
that wasn’t the point. He lined up offsides all day. I saw tapes earlier where he had lined up offsides 6 previous times in the game (from the slot) and it wasn’t called. If you not going to call it all day, why call it then? That was what is strange.

Even more reasons to never own/co-habitate with a cat.
It’s not cats, it’s having the right cat. I have been lucky that I may have had both the best dog and cat ever. Dog, long gone. Current cat is the friggin best.
This is true. Wife and I have the ‘right’ cat. Was hers before we met. Comes when he’s called, gets along with the dogs really well and is an excellent mouser.
My wife’s cat fetches better than my lab. I think she would catch a mouse, maybe, but luckily I don’t know of any that have been in the house. That could be because of the cat since I get them in the garage. The cat and I have always tolerated each other and been cordial, but for some reason the last week or two she’s decided that we are friends now and wants to lay on my lap when I’m sitting on the couch. Not sure how I feel about it and my dog definitely does not approve. He will come up, nose her and if she doesn’t move smack her with a paw and try to replace her on my lap, forgetting that he is like 75 lbs.
hahaha the last one is the best
That is funny! Looks like a great cat…Cats are awesome, and I have never had a mouse in my house.

Haha, seems legit.
Another one bites the dust

Its Easton Stick time!!!
Hmmm… is that like Corn Dog on a Stick?
What corn dog doesn’t come on a stick?
The ones you don’t want to google at work.
I know mini corn dogs don’t have a stick, but never heard of full size not coming with one. Also, bought some sausage pancake corndogs for the kids recently and they are actually very good.
The ones with Blueberry pancakes?
The Teacher likes those for quick breakfasts if she is running late.
Just regular pancakes but now I’m going to go on a mission for the blueberry
Jimmy Dean for the win.
https://www.jimmydean.com/products/pancakes-and-sausage/on-a-stick/blueberry-pancakes-and-sausage-on-a-stick/
No thanks on the blueberry, but the regular ones are pretty tasty.
I know my kids will love those, I’ll have to get some for the weekend!
I liked Al back in the day, but at this point he’s uninspiring and honestly doesn’t even know what’s going on sometimes.

after consulting with my friend, he has decided he will return the mug to the lost and found table
Its good to atone for one’s sins.
Boy, that “friend” is quite a guy.
If he was feeling uncomfortable about it that is probably better than dealing with the emotional drama over it.
You’re welcome.
We should start a gofundme and get him a nice mug as a reward!
What ever happened to the Skoloholics swag? I was supposed to get something for winning the pickum or something last year.
The Browns have had pretty bad injury luck this year, down to their 3rd string RT, now LT is out for the year, QB on IR, more QB injuries, had to sign Flacco off the street and yet they are still 8-5 with 4 very winnable games in front of them. Good coaching job by Stefanski keeping the team together and winning despite all that. Outside of starting Dobbs last week I think KOC has done a simliarly good job navigating key injuries including his QB1.
Even with Flacco, they are still a very good football team.
i bet the vikings would still rate higher on the unlucky scale, however that is determined.
I wish we would have dumped Kwerk, Rick and Zim at the end of 2019 and Hired Steff. Tanked in 2020 with a bridge QB and drafted Lawrence. Man we would be primed right now. But nope, tanker doomer, BE CONTENT WITH .500 AND LIKE IT!
I was thinking about trying to make French Silk Pie. Turns out I could basically pour whipping cream over butter sprinkled with sugar and throw a couple chocolate chips on it.
Surprisingly little ingredients. Just butter and sugar basically. No wonder it is so tasty.
Might have to look into that.
One of The Teachers favorites right after Double Cream Blueberry from Marie Callenders.
Sad fact, our MC closed a couple of months ago. On the bright side I still get e-mail coupons from them that I can only use and the closed location.
When I eat low carb and healthy, one thing I miss is popcorn. Turns out that I just miss butter and salt.
I too like butter and salt, popcorn sucks though
Just buy a stick of salted butter and break out a spoon.
A question along the starting QB lines
If KOC moves to Mullens, who will be the backup?
I expect Dobby.
I expect so too. Seems, to me, KOC’s former journeyman experiences weigh some in his HC calculations.
I would just play Hall, I’ve seen enough of Dobbs and honestly, it looked like Dobbs had completely lost all confidence last game. Who knows what KOC would do though.
Probably Dobby then Hall as Emergency QB.
I would hope those were flipped but you KOC has ‘reasons’.
I hope Hall starts the last 4 games.
Mullens can back him up.
If they some how win on Sat you know thats not happening. The only way Hall starts is if Dobbs and Mullens get hurt/ are un playable like the past two games and or the Vikes are eliminated. Which they wont be
Correct.
Vikings are would still be the 6th seed even if they lose on Saturday.
what is the proper length of time before its ok to take something from the lost and found…
i have a “friend” who has seen the same nice travel mug for over a month on the lost and found table at his gym, he finally decided to take it today. is he in the wrong or right.
I am thinking at least a week.
Someone might be out on Vacation or some such.
2 weeks to be sure.
A month should be fine IMHO.
Agree with this…tell your friend to sleep easy, they are not a thief.
I was thinking about 12 hours +/-
That “friend” finally realized, “Well shit, that is my mug after all…” right? So I think you’re good.
I would ask the manager if they have a time limit.
freezey freezey freezey…..
“thou shall not steal….”
crap.
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods….
Just like Carlin said, “this one is just plain fuckin stupid!” It’s the basis of our economic system lol. His dwindling of the 10 commandments down to 2 is hilarious.
Plus, who steals from high schoolers?
Other High Schoolers.
He took something that does not belong to him, that is stealing and wrong
I just take shit whenever I feel like it.
I call it “stealing”.
It’s how I aquire most of my personal goods.
How tf do I unfollow a user? Must have accidentally clicked on something, sometimes it’s a pain in the ass to use the site on mobile.
You ‘Following’ Hunter Biden???
I’m following Jackson Vike for some reason. I do value his posts, just don’t want to get an email every time he posts something.
Looks like I have to find one of his contributions to be able to unfollow him…
He had a few yesterday.
Might be worth a detour to go to yesterdays thread rather than wait.
Found one in this thread, actually the one where I must have accidentally hit the “follow” button, and it appears that I managed to unfollow him, yay.
I’ve made this mistake too. Big thumbs and I do everything from my mobile.
I’m using the site on mobile almost exclusively because it’s easier to leave the VPN connected to a US server at all times on this device, can’t do that on my PC.
It’s fun when we get more than like 420 comments and the site starts to slow down, scroll on it’s own and do some other weird shit I didn’t tell it to do.
I get random e-mails only sometimes from Skoloholics… is this why? I accidentally followed someone?
Probably. It should mention who you follow in the notification.
I believe I followed you by accident early on. But, the emails went to my spam folder so it did not bother me. I do like spam and eggs.
But the eggs are slushed!
as long as it wasn’t me, it won’t matter.
You’d be in my top ten if I ever would decide to follow specific users on this site freezey 🍻
Have you figured it out yet…..
.
Thanks DE, all sorted out.
I once accidentally followed GF when he first started this site, I didn’t notice all day, then my email had like 80 messages from skoloholics, he was a chatty kathy that day.
LOL, I can relate. It was pretty surprising to find that email from Skoloholics in my inbox. I forgot how easy it is to accidentally follow a user and took a few minutes to find out how to unfollow again.
How did they come up with this list????
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/most-stressful-jobs-2023-judges-170558372.html
#1 Urologist, Seriously??
#2. Film and video editors.
#4 Judges. Complicated sure, but stressful?
#5. Phone operators, (excluding 911 operators)
#9. First-line supervisor of retail sales workers
4 others are medical related that I am not qualified to comment on. MT or some of you other Medical types would know better than I.
No Police, Firefighters, Teachers, Emergency Room Drs/Nurses???
Judges – what joke! Hell, running a day care center with 15 kids is probably more stressful than a lot of these.
I read the list to The Teacher and she was like ‘WTH??’
Yea forgot that – being a first grade teacher with 25 kids. My God, I’d become an alcoholic.
Given the amount of BS that they put up with I agree.
Admin and Parents are bigger stresses than Kids according to her.
Completely idiotic. But MSM gonna lie and make up BS, so there’s that.
MSM?
So clickbait is possible but they claim to have Science and Data behind the list. It looks like more than a simple poll.
Nope, when common sense invalidates the supposed “science”, then it is BS.
It was a government agency btw (O*NET, part of the U.S. Department or Labor). Worse than MSM.
Thank you for the knowledge.
I was beginning to think that maybe they had a different definition of ‘stressful’ than I, or the dictionary, did.
Yahoo isn’t exactly a credible news source.
They usually have about 10 articles about how Trump is the devil.
They are certainly Liberal but I didn’t think this was a political topic that they would screw up so badly.
The Urologist union must have sponsored the study.
Haha maybe. I mean, I get that people might be stressed when they visit the urologist (pain, infections, worry about things), which can translate into stress for the doctor, but it’s not like it’s life or death like other professions and doctors. Just dumb.
The media has never seen as much traffic as when the tangerine dream was President
They probably just used something stupid like the percentage of different people who admitted they went to counseling.
Good point.
Law Enforcement, Emergency Room types and Teachers could face consequences/stigma for seeking counseling. That could lower their numbers.
Last I checked law enforcement has the highest suicide rate of any profession due to the constant stress of the job and caused by a 24/7 state of hyper vigilance and crappy hours.
stupid as this sounds, I read sometime back it was dentists – who likes going to the dentist.
If that was the case then Mortician would be #1.
The only mortician I know is the guy from my home town, he’s quirky but he’s got a great sense of humor, especially when it comes to morbidity
Christians on the way to the Promised land.
When I worked the Prison we were warned about all the Stressors and dealing with them.
Consequently they told us to ‘seek help if needed’. And then if you did you could be taken off the job and have your access to firearms taken away (job requirement) if the Counselor deemed it was prudent.
The internet disagrees, I’d always heard it was dentists though
If you look at the CDC list it is completely different.
1. Farmworkers, fishermen, lumberjacks, others in forestry or agriculture (85 suicides per 100,000)
2. Carpenters, miners, electricians, construction trades (53)
3. Mechanics and those who do installation, maintenance, repair (48)
4. Factory and production workers (35)
5. Architects, engineers (32)
6. Police, firefighters, corrections workers, others in protective services (31)
7. Artists, designers, entertainers, athletes, media (24)
8. Computer programmers, mathematicians, statisticians (23)
9. Transportation workers (22)
10. Corporate executives and managers, advertising and public relations (20)
11. Lawyers and workers in legal system (19)
12. Doctors, dentists and other health care professionals (19)
13. Scientists and lab technicians (17)
14. Accountants, others in business, financial operations (16)
15. Nursing, medical assistants, health care support (15)
16. Clergy, social workers, other social service workers (14)
17. Real estate agents, telemarketers, sales (13)
18. Building and ground, cleaning, maintenance (13)
19. Cooks, food service workers (13)
20. Child care workers, barbers, animal trainers, personal care and service (8)
Yeah, I guess it depends on your source?
Yeah, I’ve seen at least 4 lists that do not line up in any way shape or form. I think it comes down to how you group them.
I saw on NIH their list was different too
So this explains why Urologist are #1???
12. Doctors, dentists and other health care professionals (19)
I guess Teachers don’t make the list as they are predominately female and females are less likely to resort to suicide??
I know/hear/read about all the teachers quitting because they can’t handle the stress.
Possibly the same science and data used to determine which businesses should be shut down during the dark winter?
‘Dark Winter’ AKA the plague??
Going to the hardware store sure sucked then, but my commute to work was so much better.

So lucky I retired just before all of that stuff started.
No way I wanted to be surrounded by Inmates during the summer of Riots and Plague.
I’ll just point out that #1 emergency medicine residencies attract a certain personality that enjoy uh emergency medicine and #2 the field is very formulaic, there are only so many scenarios and unlike in the TV shows where the ED doc is treating a placental abruption followed by open cardiac massage all patients are triaged to the appropriate clinical service. How are they triaged? Oooh oooh I know something else you don’t see on TV it is radiology and laboratory testing and no the ED doc doesn’t run the scanner or interpret the images.
A three year residency is attractive when you are gargling in student loan debt but I think I’d probably want to shoot myself if I was an ED doc.
Not sure about urologists? I’ve never heard them complain about stress. It is the cleanest surgical field there is. Plus they’re almost universally smart as a whip…almost as smart as a rad.
Thanks for the perspective.
What about the others on the list in the top 10??
3. Anesthesiologist assistants
6. Acute care nurses
7. Obstetricians and gynecologists
10. Nurse anesthetists
3 is weird, they change out and prepare the Mayo stand and equipment for the induction of anesthesia
6 makes sense, see lots of sad things, family member drama
7 lose a baby maybe lose your license. STRESS 101.
10 seems like a pretty chill environment but suicide and addiction high among both CRNA and MD anesthesiologist. Maybe it’s inhaling low doses of fentanyl and propofol all day.
The Teacher speculated that #3 and #10 were on there but not the MD because the shit rolled downhill so the MD could blame any failures on his Nurse or Assistants.
Not the way we learned it in the Army.
“You can delegate authority but not responsibility”.
That game last night was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad I stayed up and watched it.
You were pretty salty there near the end.
So glad that the FTPs hopes were crushed like that.
He was and it was hilarious. GF is a busy dude these days but you gotta respect hopping on just to shit all over FTP and use Pecker fan tears as sweetener for his tea….
I wasn’t quite so upset when it look like the Refs were going to give it to the Puckers because I expected that.
The Teacher was concerned looking at me when I was cackling with Glee at the end.
Saquan almost ruined the game being a dummy…. looked like a Vikings thing to do.
Saquan Dum Dum
Haha yeah, fumbling on the ground with nobody touching him. Absolute moron moment.
He honestly looked like he fainted. I bet he was dehydrated.
Looked like to me he was just stumbling and forgot to secure the ball. And of course, the Packers luckily avoided touching him and got to run the ball back without anybody trying too hard because they thought he was down.
I did as well, I usually don’t stay up till the end of non vikings games on MNF but I though the way Love was playing he’d end up throwing a pick six or something to lose the game.
Agree. I normally don’t watch the Packers unless they’re playing a team I care about or I think they might lose. Last night was glorious.
Pro-tip:
Do you find your balance getting worse as you get older? Stand on one foot while brushing your teeth. Do one foot one day. The other foot the next day. Keep alternating. The sink is right there for balance if needed.
Supposedly, it helps a lot.
I notice my balance is getting worse. If I stand on one foot and close my eyes, it is not good. I can’t imagine how bad it is for Harrison Smith at this point…
So. I turned 60 this summer. Yes, balance is not as good as it was.
Yoga is amazing for this. I am trying hard to age better than my parents, and exercise is a big part of that.
I should also quit drinking, but life as a Vikings fan is still too stressful.
It seems like the previous generation did not put much stock in exercise.
I need to do more mobility and stretching for sure. When I work out, I’m like screw warming up. Likewise, when I’m done, I’m like screw cooling down.
But I am too the point where I need to put in that time.
A word from an old guy – you can’t stretch enough – static and dynamic.
That is a good tip and it works. After knee replacement, started doing this as a sort of PT exercise, bur it is wonderful for balance – it builds a little strength too.
I’ve always had good balance.
I attribute this to many summers spent detasseling in the muddy corn fields of Eastern Nebraska. Mile after mile of walking sloppy, uneven rows. Also made my legs strong.
Lately I’ve noticed that when leaning over to do something (fuel the mower, vacuum under something) I’ll get a touch of uneasiness as I straighten back up, like a wobbly feeling.
I will try this bathroom sink trick as I’m a nutjob about my teeth and brush 3 times a day minimum.
I recently had issues with vertigo. If I got my head in the wrong position, the whole world spun. It has gotten better, though. Now I am like you, just a slight wobbly sensation if I get in certain positions. Inner ear thing, apparently.
What if I never brush my teeth?
Funnily enough, I was reading stories about people’s “regrets” the other day. One guy regretted that he never brushed his teeth.
One day he bit into a hunk of bread, and multiple front teeth of his simply folded over. That’s crazy!
that just gave me the willies. gross haha
You should ask Harrison Smith…..
Didn’t you see the post game KOC speech?? Harry is the reason the D is so awesome.
I saw that.
I think Wrenage disagrees…..
He’s like the grandpa that keeps the family together.
Try it when you’re drunk and bet your balance really improves
^^pro tip^^
You know we’ve come a long way. Listened to KOC’s locker room. His big hurah for the offense was – “offense didn’t turn the ball over.” New world.
The rule of collaboration and love is you have to say something positive.
KOC way too excited in that locker room speech.
She’s cuter than I remember from watching the show ‘back in the day’.
Since Wrenage started the pro tip aging thing…..
Pro tip#2:
Women get cuter as you age.
Pro tip #3
Yep, that’s why he’ll probably have Dobbs start again
If he does, then KOC is a sympathetic sole for journeyman QB’s, or Dobbs has pictures.
Yeahi can’t see him starting Dobbs again, I think he’d lose the locker room
Gooooose Morning Purple Praisers!
All in our hands now. Win out and the North is ours. Good place to be (most likely a 1st round exit, but we’ll worry about that later.)
2 of the next 4 will be nationally televised games, with the potential for all 4 to be broadcast nationally – @ Cincinnati on NFL Network, Detroit @ home – noon kickoff, but could get bumped to the 3:25, FTP @ home for SNF on NYE and the finale @ Detroit is a prime candidate for the last regular season game of the year.
Fixing to be a fun month of the foosballs!
Skol!
Really starting to love that dog!
He’s pretty lovable. Goofiest damn dog I ever saw.
Watched rookies Tommy “the legbreaker” DeVito and Will Levis shine when the lights were brightest last night and lead their teams on game winning drives late in the 4th quarter. Levis was especially impressive in orchestrated two TD drives with less than 5 minutes left in the game. Meanwhile KOC can’t figure out if he should continue playing Dobbs, a career scrub who looks like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest as a starting QB. Dobbs is a backup whose best attribute is the element of surprise, when teams can prepare for him its ugly. The Titans and Giants are not good teams so they had less incentive to put vets in at QB over the rookies or return a vet after shaky play early from both of them, but the Vikings should just play Hall, I can’t see how he’d be any worse than Dobbs and if he sucks then play Mullins.
Also, so much for the Love is the next HOF GB QB, at least for one week, he turned back into a turd last night.
I was really surprised by the Titans score when I looked at it this morning. I checked the score when I went to bed, and it was 27-13 with like 4:30 left. I was already celebrating my first place pick-em finish.
Then I looked this morning and was very surprised. I’m going to watch the highlights.
Levis looked good in the 4th quarter.
Just watched the highlights. He was in there fighting for sure.
Titans really tried to lose that game with the two turnovers deep in their territory.
DeVito was fun to watch last night. Got a kick out of his dad’s reaction in the stands. I know the Vikes/Raiders game was a study in futility, but with that win it was basically a perfect weekend. Detroit, GB, Philly and Seattle all lose.
I rejoice in the salty tears of Packer fans today.
Legit:
NFC: SF/Dallas/Philly
AFC: Balt/KC/JAX/MIA
Everybody else is just playing a game.
Mullens to start, Hall the backup, Dobbs clipboard holder.
I don’t buy KC, also somehow Denver is now only 1 game back in that division and getting better every week, they will win at least 10 games, I don’t know if that is “legit” but right now with how they are both playing I’d probably take the Broncos, much as I hate buttholemouth. Philly isn’t legit IMO either, they just got curb stomped twice in a row. The only legit NFC team is SF and now that they’re healthy again, they are the best team in the NFL by a fair margin, we’ll see if they can stay healthy though.
I don’t buy KC either.
I wouldn’t count KC out yet – Reid/Mahomes/Kelcy. Don’t believe in Denver at all. Jax and MIA are meh.
I didn’t buy Denver a month ago. I do now. Wife a Broncos fan and I’ve seen every game. They’re playing pretty good football right now.
After starting 1-5 they’ve won 6 of 7, including a 24-9 win over KC that wasn’t particularly competitive, and of course a victory over the Vikings where Dobbs was mostly poop salad and had several turnovers.
Yup. I dislike Payton and Wilson very much, but both are veterans with tons of playoff experience – good things to have when trying to make a run. Courtland Sutton is playing well, run game has been solid and the defense has gotten miles from giving up 70 points to Miami.
I’m not counting them out, but they are not an elite team and its not a recency thing either, they haven’t elite been all season. They are a good not great team that is limited offensively by an oline that takes tons of penalties, especially the RT, and outside of Kelce very limited skill position players. They are good defensively.
That’s all true. But other than Baltimore, who else in AFC.
Its likely KC and Balt in the AFCCG, I could see maybe the Bills getting to the AFCCG again, they are basically the exact opposite of last years Vikings, terribly unlucky and have lost only in weird one score games, that typically balances out over time so maybe they’re the opposite of the Vikings from last years playoffs as well, IDK. I’m not buying into Jake Browning just yet, especially in the playoffs, but he has looked very good so far and the Bengals are very good overall. Also don’t see Miami going on the road into somewhere like KC or Baltimore or and winning outdoors in the cold on grass, that team is built for Miami weather, if they had home field I might feel differently. I don’t think the AFC is as far ahead of the NFC as it may have seemed before the season, especially with Burrow and Rodgers out.
Just add – Allen seems good for about turnovers a game which hurts Buffalo. And I like the Bengals overall as a team too.
He does throw some picks, but he also scores a ton of TDs, so you can kind of live with some of them
I could see Buffalo making a run too.
I’m not judging KC or Philly on recent games.
I’d bet both of them get to their conference championship games.
My money is with your call here.
I agree as well.
JAX very overrated IMO – not a real contender. MIA might just be pretend, too, but I could see how they could string a few games together offensively to be a SB threat.
I agree a bit.
But I don’t feel like KC or Balt are that much better than Jax/Miami, so I couldn’t exclude them.
That seems reasonable.
Better be a shatter proof clip board.
holy smokes did you guys see the contract breakdown of Shohei Ohtani?
10 year 700 mill…….only 2 mill a year for 9 years. the universe’s most team friendly deal ever. it’s insane.
good for him
Player friendly as well. As long as he moves out of California after 10 years he doesn’t have to pay the inflated Commiefornia taxes on the remaining $680 million and if I remember right he gets like $68 mill a year for 10 years after the contract is done.
Bobby Bonilla 2.0…..
That is correct and he is smart, he’ll likely move to Florida and pay no state income tax
Ridiculous that that is allowed (meaning the games with the contract amounts and which years they apply to, not avoiding taxes).
Since there’s no salary cap I guess I don’t really see the point in a contract like this. The 680 mil is going to lose value due to inflation and even if he leaves Commiefornia, federal tax rates are more likely to increase over the next 10 years than decrease. If you take the money now, it could be invested in some way shape or form. Even a 1% ROI would be better than the lost value due to inflation. For the team, unless they just don’t have the cash, with no salary cap, what’s the difference? Are you really that confident that you will have the cash in 10 years? Probably will but that’s still a gamble and what if you want to sell the team. Having a contract out there that is worth more than some franchises significantly decreases the value of the team unless you have the money in escrow which means you end up selling the team for almost nothing.
Yeah, it’s just about supporting a better team now (having money to buy other good players), along with likely the inflation thing.
Watched the Manning-Cast last night.
Kirk was on, and he embraced the dorky dad bit.
He can be entertaining, and he has a future in the booth if he wants it.
I still want the Vikings to draft a QBOF and throw him in next season.
LOL, yeah, the Kohl’s cash Kirko Chain made me laugh a bit. I don’t think Kirk will go into the booth, at least not for a while, maybe make an appearance now and then but I think when he is done he will devote himself to his family, coach his sons through High School, then get into the booth, either that or he’ll just become a pastor and take over for his dad.
The Kohl’s cash thing was almost funny the first time, but he brought it up like 10 times the first 2 minutes he was on. It was worse than a NASCAR driver plugging all their sponsors after a race.
Hes schtick got cringy years ago for me. I wont be able to remotely enjoy his quirks until he’s no longer in purple. He’s personality and composure is not what I want under center.
You know when we lost the Bears game, I thought we may have blown our playoff chances. Now, the Lions and Packers have returned the favor. It’s very muchn back in our hands, but got to start scoring.
Yeah, and the Broncos. Russ always gets lucky with crappy passes at the end of the game to beat the Vikings. See playoff game at TCF Bank when he scrambles, avoids a stupid Captain Munnerlyn and throws a crappy pass to wide open Lockett on 3rd and like 20. The one in the Broncos game for a TD should have been picked or swatted at the least.
And there’s that 4th and 10 couple of years ago in Seattle with less than1:30 left – some crappy coaching there though.
The eagles have just come through a rough series of games. They’re still a good team but not as good as last year – especially on defense, poor secondary.
QB – roll with Mullens and if he falters, try Hall. Question about this though, do you give Mullens as much leash as you did Dobbs – like a bad start or two, or one bad half and out?.
Good question, depends on what they think they have in Hall….
Hey JRobert, last fall I told you my son was looking for an internship in DC – he will be attending Pepperdines DC campus January through May…
This is the one he ended up choosing…The Young Leaders Program through the Heritage Foundation…he will be working in their institute on the Federal Budget.
Here is a one minute youtube…pretty cool.
America’s Best Internship: The Young Leaders Program – YouTube
That is really neat and he should have great experience. Do you know yet where he plans on living? Believe this campus is very close to Metro so he has many opportunities.
Yes, the campus has housing and is close to pretty much everything…
I think KOC is very patient with QBs. So yes, I think Mullens would not get pulled until it is obvious that it is not working.
Could be Mullens the rest of the way.
I would prefer to see Hall, but if we do not, that means Mullens is doing enough.
Depends, if he plays like Dobbs did in the Bears or Raiders games, absolute flaming dogshit player who shouldn’t even be on an NFL roster, then 1/2 game is enough. If he is just meh he gets another game and if meh again play Hall. My guess IF KOC benches Dobbs for Mullens he’ll play just well enough to keep Hall on the bench but nothing great.
we’re running out of rope – can’t have any more f’u games.
Yeah I thought that after the Bears game, then KOC goes and plays Dobbs coming out of the bye in what was easily the most winnable game left on the schedule and the most ideal time to make a change. I like a lot about KOC but am confounded by that decision.
He got away with a big time mistake. He’d be smart not to temp fate again.
Yeah, he didn’t get away with them in the Bears and Broncos games, though.
He makes a lot of bonehead mistakes. It’s like if he’s a bus driver, you expect him to drive well most of the time and maybe have a minor fender bender every once in a while, but he insists on driving the bus off a cliff.
The Eagles are a real playoff team. Probably not a Super Bowl team, though.
The more I watch football, the more I come to realize bad losses and good wins during the regular season don’t mean much of anything. You are your record basically, and the first round of the playoffs quickly sorts out the meaningless teams. I would suspect the Eagles make it through the first round.
Good taek, and I agree. Eggles are a good team, but not the best in the NFC.
I feel the same way about the Chiefs.
The regular season is just plain goofy. Weird things happen.
Like when the 49ers are grinding their way through the playoffs, no one is going to say, “Yeah, but they lost to the Vikings week eight…”
Likewise, when the Vikings are at home watching the playoffs, no one is going to say, “Yeah, but they beat the 49ers week eight…”
I don’t really see how the Vikings get in at this point. They could very well lose out unless the Lions decide to go full-Lion.
Generally speaking every team will have a bad loss during the season, however, getting curb stomped and not being competitive in consecutive games is different and concerning. They have amassed their wins mostly by squeaking out 1 score wins, in this way they remind me of the 2022 Vikings though better. Point differential is a good separator of good vs elite teams. SF and Dallas are both over +175, Philly sits at +21, I could easily see them being one and done in the playoffs.
Your point is not unreasonable.
Good morning, SKOL!

Regarding the poll question…Eagles are legit, but the Cowboys and 49ers are legitier.
I don’t think the Lions are legit though…My purple colored glasses are seeing another NFC North title for the Vikes.
On the poll topics:
Eagles are not a fraud, but they are not as good as SF.
With no further injuries, it looks like Baltimore/San Fran in the Super Bowl
Hall should be the starter, but if they roll with Mullens that is ok, until he sucks.
I expect Mullens to start throwing interceptions soon, and when that happens, I would like to see Hall play.
Have to be Mullens Hall Dobby at this point…Yes, if Mullens can’t get the job done might as well pivot to Hall…Lets hope Mullens finishes on a 4 and 0 regular season run.
Dobbs will probably be the backup this week.
Agreed. Go with Mullens until he sucks, then give Hall a chance.
Pukers lose !!!!!
Woo hoo!!!
