I coached kiddo’s baseball team last night, it was our first game of the season. Man, those kids had such a great all-around game, better than I’ve seen any of our teams play in the 3 years I’ve been coaching. They were in position on plays, they were hitting the cutoff, 2B and SS were covering 2nd, they were hitting well, they had fun, and they displayed excellent sportsmanship. Very proud of those little fellas, it’s going to be a fun year.

Yeah those that walked the course said the set up looked brutal. Now it looks like it’s not that bad. Take note Brooks shot a 62 practice round but now is 3 over through 9 so it can turn on you. They’ll let the greens dry out and make the pin placements really hard and get some shots back real quick. Look for them to struggle to make par over the next few days.
USGA will do what they can.
Winner is still likely -15 or better.
Single digits under par once they turn the screws to them setting up the course the next 3 days. They’ll be pissed they historically dominated today. Course will be brutal.

All they can do is lengthen the tees, and manage pin placements.
Well the course is soft right now due to the rain and the marine layer hanging over the course. No wind either. Greens are holding so approach shots are easier. Tomorrow if the wind kicks up and the sun shines, the course will dry out and holding the greens is gonna get a lot harder.

Comfortable wins against teams you SHOULD beat handedly. Offense not going silent for 2 quarters a game. League average defense. Getting to the NFCCG. All of those things need to happen in order to consider the team taking a step forward. Anything less is failure. And I dont see all of those happening in 2023.

The question was asked, I answered. Both sides of the ball need to improve, the defense was obviously worse so them somehow getting to the 15-20 range would be a huge leap and a step forward. The offense Is going to have to also improve and I dont see us being top 10 in scoring a second year in a row. Especially considering our schedule. So, if they cant do that, they are going to have to at least attempt to improve on their faults from last year. You can win SBs with an average defense. You cant with an average offense. Not in 2023. Now, kindly remove Kirks member from around your mouth region and apply critical thought. And if Kirk gets us to a bowl (bahahhahaha) then you can rub it in my face for the rest of time. I would gladly take that if it means we get a SB win. But I know thats not going to happen, and deep down, you do as well. So…I guess just cope and dread the day I say I told you so 🙂

I did. Am I not allowed to have my own opinion after reading the article or do I have to agree with it? I explained why. Going against better overall quality of opponent who will have presumably GOOD defenses thats mission will be shut down JJ, which, can be done, it happened last year. I see most of what happened last year as unsustainable. Do I see it falling off a cliff? No. I see things returning to the mean. Or at least closer to it.
I see things going to a top 10 even top 5 offense.
2nd year for the same OC same OL new WR full offseason for Hock. Only thing slowing that show down will be injuries.

The question was asked, you twisted the answer in to a kill box for Cousins. The defense is the problem end of story. The offense will be top ten or just outside and possibly better if Addison contributes. You don’t win SB’s with average defenses unless you have a generational QB savant and probably the greatest TE just dominating for 4 qtrs. We don’t have either of those dynamics. We have a top 10 qb, top 1 or 2 WR and a low end elite TE. The rest is solid but not dominate. If we make the playoffs with this schedule that’s a successful season imo.
2022- Chiefs (16th), 2021 Rams (15th Stafford Qb savant lol) 2020 Bucs (8th – I’ll give them that for being above average, still not top 5) 2019, 2018 were all outside of the top 5 in defense. DE you’re smarter than that… you just have issues for some reason with Cousins. Facts are facts. The passing offense has been very good every year Cousins has been here. In fact, the passing game is the ONLY part of the team that has been very good. The defense has been bad, the running game has been up and down and can’t pick up a 3rd and 1 to save its ass. Even the kicker has been about the worst in the league. The O-line? Our two guards were both ranked amongst the worst in the league and Bradbury routinely gets steamrolled. It’s just remarkable that you act like none of these factors count for anything.

Going back to last year, if you took our offense as it was – kirk’s faults, line blocking, AT can’t beat man coverage whatever, yet I believe we could play a team like the Chiefs and could well lose 45 -32. At the same time, play a team like the Cowboys and get beat 31-3. Blown out.
So, it sort of matters who you play and when. Just suggesting this offense could improve as you suggest and the defense improve quite a bit, but they might well have a worse record next year. And it you draw the 49ers in the first round of the playoffs – it’s going to be pretty tough.

I agree, You think we could be a top 5 offense. I believe that could happen too. The defense – with Flores coaching – suppose it makes a big jump forward to 15. That would be great! But you can still get a very hard draw in the playoffs.

True. A point that perhaps I am the only one who believes it. We can play a team like the Chiefs (SB Champs) and our offense can score and move the ball. We can play a lesser team, but if they have a strong defensive front, we have a problem. They will stymie our offense and that is our strength.

The way the article reads…almost makes you feel like they should have gone all in again…. Extended deals cleared cap space and loaded up as much defensive talent as possible through the draft and FA and made a run to a title.
We might be sitting first of Dec saying well had we loaded up we’d have a shot but just not enough on defense.

What a complete mess once I got to MSP. They jerked us around from 8 am all the way till noon with delays then cancelled the flight.
There was no other flights and no rental cars available. I ended up banding together with 7 random ppl that needed to get to Bemidji too and we rented a party bus lmao. Currently in a party bus driving to Bemidji.
They lost my stupid clubs too which was super annoying but thankfully they found them but just left the cities after being there all freaking day.

Blah, Blah Blah…we’ve had this conversation Mr. Mid. I love my clubs and play a course you’d be lucky to break 90 on.
Maybe, maybe not. My game plays well regardless of the course I play. I hit the ball straight, and my short game is good. I can play a course strategically and put up a score. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. I never practice, play sparingly, do not warm up on the range before a round, and still put up a good score on the regular.
It’s true clubs don’t make the golfer but quality does matter and tech changes a lot over 10 yrs. I only play tough courses with slope rating in the 130-140’s. Play from the tips of those and give an honest score you’re lucky to break 90 I don’t care how straight you hit it. Law of averages the course length or difficulty will take it’s toll on your weaknesses eventually and the stokes will add up.
Most of your bad scores are because of bad ball striking… I’m a good ball striker.
Your issues aren’t really with delta, you stated the initial problem was with the airport in bemiji, and delta doesn’t control rental vehicles. The clubs thing is the only issue related to the airline and when a flight is canceled baggage is always an issue, it’s actually impressive they got it to you so quick
They sucked at communicating. They told us to get our bags at baggage claim. After waiting 1 hour I went to desk and they’re like you have to submit the request since they go to a holding area. Then the loser put it in and another hour goes by. I go where’s my bag and a new lady showed up and said he never put the request in.
finally I got it but I was sketching. The issue was Bemidji airport but the communication and lack of service/knowledge was mind numbing

Have a tendency to scroll right to the comments and past the music selection so I didn’t notice that it was AIC’s ‘Rooster’. Such a great song. My fandom of AIC began with this song, which I stumbled on after reading about Carlos Hathcock, nicknamed White Feather by the NVA – the inspiration for the song title and who I learned of after the Battle of Mogadishu and the deaths of Randy Shughart and Gary Gordon – the two Delta Operators that provided cover fire from the air and after being denied permission several times fast roped into certain death to save the life of Mike Durant, the Blackhawk pilot who was taken down by an RPG. Shughart and Gordon both inflicted monumental damage on the enemy before being killed. Durant was captured and eventually rescued.
Randy Shughart was from Lincoln (Oddly, Gary Gordon was also from Lincoln… Lincoln, Maine) It blew me away then and now that a hero, a man of that kind of courage and selflessness was born a mere 40 miles from me and it kicked off a lifelong fascination with our military and in particular the SF groups in various services. Those guys are superstars in my eyes. Always have been. Always will be. After hearing their stories there isn’t a blockbuster CGI’d ‘superhero’ that comes close. Iron Man can lick Randy Shughart’s boot. After mowing Gary Gordon’s lawn.

If you stop in the black hills its not bad, otherwise LOL, that drive sucks. Go west across ND with nothing to look at, go south at belfield through ND/SD with nothing to look at till Black Hills, then head south through shitholes in Wyoming like Newcastle which smells like ass, Lusk, Torrington, etc. till you get to Ft. Collins and hit horrible traffic till you get to Denver, which also sucks. I suppose you could take highways to 212 as well and go through the SD reservations but IDK why anyone would want to.

Not sure what you’re doing to get molested, I’ve never been touched and I have a bunch of titanium in my ankle. I also enjoy being able to do things like, watch a movie, do some work stuff on computer, and drink a couple beers when traveling. Can’t do that when driving.
