Minnesota Vikings Discussion Topic of the Day
Should Dobbs continue playing at a solid level for the rest of the year what should the Vikings do at the QB position in the offseason?

Minnesota Vikings News:
The Vikings greatly increased their chances of making the playoffs with their victory over FTS
Jordan Hicks goes on IR
Kirk serves thanksgiving meals, weird since its next Thursday
Going back through the years of my lifetime the Vikings have had some backups come in, play really well and lead them to the playoffs, Johnson, Keenum, Cunningham, George, etc. A true franchise QB however, continues to elude them.
Thread Guidelines
- Keep politics out. We are adults, news happens, and we can talk about it. What we don’t want is to go down the rabbit holes and turn a productive conversation into name calling and personal attacks.
- Be cool to one another. Like it says above, just be civil. You don’t need to agree with everyone and that’s fine, you also don’t need to make it personal. Attack the argument not the poster.
- Keep the NSFW to a minimum. We don’t need anyone getting in trouble at work for hanging out here.
- All in all, be adults. Treat each other with respect and things will be fine. Mods will take out content they feel is pushing the boundary. If you want to reach out about something feel free to ask. We want to have robust discussions, that’s why we’re here. Just be civil and cool to one another.
Didn’t realize Dobby had an ankle issue.
Hall and TJ limited is a little concerning.
JJ being limited is a bit hopeful.
Mattison being out means less blocking but maybe better running.
IMHO of course.
Dobbs ankle issue is probably from when he was tripped.
Hall will be limited until cleared from protocol.
TJ will likely be limited at practice for the next month, if not the remainder of the season and play on Sunday.
JJ will be officially limited until they activate him.
Mattison will most likely be out with the extra scrutiny the league has for concussions now, especially since Tua.
‘JJ will be officially limited until they activate him.’
Reed is on his 21 days but listed as Full Participation.
Has he been ‘stealth activated’?
Nobody cares about Reed. If JJ is a full participant, it is obvious he will play this weekend. I expect them to wait until the last minute on Saturday to activate him to keep Denver guessing and keep him listed as limited until then while keeping the “we’re waiting until he’s 100%” facade up.
Is he 100%. Given the way things have gone the last month or so, it would be crazy to put him on the field if he is not fully healed up.
TJ is unlimited
Greg Joseph……Personal……DNP
He is in Dark Meditation ala Karen Rodgers.
Yeah. Kicker should be required to do something after they miss a kick.
Wish I could ‘unsee’ that.
I’ve been laughing about that for 5 minutes straight.
I am glad that I could provide you some entertainment.
I thought that was Joe Buck talking about Aaron Rodgers?
Or Troy Aikman – here’s the Hall of Famer…….
*sigh* the Watson jokes got old a year ago.
We got a lot more old jokes and tweets below for your viewing pleasure
I thought you’d say “*sigh* unzips”
I’d try it
No thanks.
Ruination of a great candy bar.

Hall is the Deuce!
Will feel better about QB depth once those two are healthy.
Found Lifer! He’s suing his neighbor.
72 attempts…lol
I bet the 73rd time’s a charm
Maybe he was a Muslim practicing the 72 virgins thing.
Or maybe they didn’t realize anal won’t work
There are some groups of people around here that have been rumored to pay people to, let’s say, add genetic diversity to their community. I know a guy who’s brother took them up on the offer, but didn’t tell them he had gotten a vasectomy.
The funnier part of the story, is the wife of the dude who attempted 72 times, said that the dude was not the father of their own 2 children.
This is worth a couple of jerry springer shows. RIP
No one paid me to hit something like that while I was stationed in Stuttgart.
Probably racist.
Stupid Lifer. The best part is you would have done it for free.
WTF????
Why would he care about that for a guy who is no longer on the team?
Did he ask Fred McNeil or Jesse Solomon if it was ok too?
They’re very good friends. They both played here for a long time together. I would probably do the same thing, mostly as an “FYI, man, I have to wear this number and I wanted to let you know” kind of a thing.
Because they’re besties and he didn’t want to hurt his friends feelings.
Awww….
They were roommates in college
Yeah. I get the connection part.
But the NFL is cut throat.
If Kendricks was going to the HOF, I get it.
It’s no different than how five and Kodiak check in with each other before dating each others’ sloppy seconds.

Is that a photoshopped paddle boarder?
I’m pretty sure it’s Justin Fields trying to escape.
I like the ghoul a lot more now that he is in Denver.
Tomason >> Kronin.
Fun fact: Cronin in gaelic translates to little dark one. I’m just going to assume it doesn’t have anything to do with skin color and that the Cronins have always been asshats.
Maybe the Name is from a curse on the family so that they are doomed to become ‘asshats’.
And phonetically, Gaelic is pronounced ‘gay-lik’ in English.
He’s more classless than anyone in sports media
I like him more than Kronin.
That guy seems to do everything possible to ensure he dies a virgin
Kfey?
That was a good one!
But you know that was from last year, right?
This is fun.
Yeah, I remembered it right away from last year, still true though
Too late, try again.
I wonder if part of the Viking’s pitch to potential free agents is, “yeah, Tomasson moved to Denver.”
So another game with Mannion as the backup QB.
What could go wrong……
Hall is already ruled out?
No.
But that’s my guess.
I think he will be ready….but we really don’t need him….
@QB’s that run a lot never get hurt@
Could you imagine a SF type situation? Dobbs gets hurt and Hall carries us far into the playoffs and we are left with 3 options going into the offseason?
That would keep this site going all off season.
Would have to buy popcorn in bulk.
Well, that is the most likely scenario if Kirk doesn’t retire.
Conga Brands (CAG stock symbol) is the company that owns Orville Redenbacher if you’re interested.
I would still be on the “anyone not named Kirk” bandagon
Have Hope for Hall’s Head.
He hasn’t cleared protocol yet, injury report should come out for practice today
Halls fine. Here’s security footage of him hurrying into practice in real time.

who’s at fault…..i think it’s obvious who is at fault
Yep. Ponder.
True answers are always true.
Hall is pretty dumb, runs out into oncoming traffic and looks the opposite direction of where cars would be coming from
Maybe he’s from England?
My wife is coming to my workplace shortly. Now I have to stop being Work Wrenage and be Husband Wrenage. This is encroaching on sacred territory. She better step lightly…
Just lock the office door and play ‘convince the boss to give you a raise’.

Exactly!

Kirk = Viking 4 life?
I am getting a woody
As QB coach?
Yes. Much like Reg Dunlop from Slapshot was.
I like it and Slapshot reference rec

Ah yes the VikingzFanPage, legit source of information that has people on the inside and for sure isn’t ran by a fat neck beard who has a hard on for Cousins. Riiiiight.
Yeah the report is from a guy at bleacher report, not that much more credible though
If Dobbs doesnt open the eyes of KOC and KAM to where they should be heading at as far as ability at QB, then idk what will at this point.
This guy
Rick Spielman told Kirk the same thing when he assembled the 2018-2021 interior offensive lines
lol
Perfect
Jokes on Campbell. I always wear a diaper!
unfortunately for the lions, this has cost them games before….
and probably will cost them games in the future.
Cost them the game at US Bank stadium last year, but it has also worked quite a few times, kind of damned if you do damned if you don’t, Zim being super conservative cost them a number of games.
This reminds me of the announcer in the Saints game. We blitzed and stopped a drive, and the announcer goes ” well, you live by the blitz and die… I guess live by the blitz.
Yeah, Flores loves to blitz, he actually did very little in the NO game, Carr actually does really well when blitzed.
Must be law of averages cause he’s made his share of fu’s
Commentary on some bullshit website (Pro Football Network):
According to this site the Vikes have the 20th hardest schedule and the Lions have the 29th hardest schedule remaining…
well. we get a couple of shots at them. Let’s see who knows what.
I’m predicting a split with the tie breaker being in the playoffs.
That would be fun.
They’re not completely wrong, their schedule is pretty weak. I don’t know if they’ll be heavily favored when they play at US Bank Stadium but depending on how things go they might be a 6.5 point favorite when the Vikings travel to Detroit. Its not hard to imagine them riding a 7 game win streak heading into the game in Minnesota. Ultimately I think they’ll split like last year but win the division with 13 wins, pending the last game having any meaning. Who knows though, they could lose their LT and QB next game and be screwed.
They have a superstar backup QB though. Oh, and a Hooker.
I wouldn’t consider Teddy a superstar, and the hooker is currently unavailable.
I’m not telling

Correct, Teddy is a somewhat capable backup, that’s it.
Detroit is decent this year, but I don’t get why they keep getting portrayed as this juggernaut.
I believe they’ve only beaten 1 team with a winning record.
I’m not saying the Vikings are better. They’re not.
I’m just not buying into the Lions.
Especially when the coach recommends fans to wear a diaper because of his aggressiveness. He’s going to get burned at some point.
Looked ordinary with Ravens, who knows.
Yeah, IDK, they lost a close game to Seattle they probably should have won. The beat the Chefs, I was going to say the beat Chargers but then I remembered the Chargers are losers and have the worst HC in the NFL, seriously that guy makes Dan Campbell look like Don Shula.
They beat Chiefs without Kelce and ton of WR drops. Detroit offense could only score 14 points – had a pick six.
They’re beatable.
And no Chris Jones
Every team in the NFL is beatable, and I don’t think anyone said the Lions weren’t
Touchy? Oh well, the Cowboys are playing the Panthers this week and if I was a betting person, pretty sure I know which way I’d go. And then there’s the Giants, well enough said.
No not touchy, my overall point was just that Detroit is better positioned to win the division than the Vikings with already having two fewer losses and an easier schedule than the Vikings. That and the Chargers very much underachieve with their current HC.
Vikings win out and the division is theirs.
This is a great, funny video clip of KOC & Dobbs from Sunday’s game…

Love that!
Tweets that throw shade at Stefon Diggs are always refreshing…
Love it.
FSD
Was watching Field Access of Vikes saints on YouTube. After Ty Chand scores and is on the bench Mattison asks him where the ball at. Chandler said I just set it on the ground, I’ll be back there.
Sounds like a humble guy.
More touches for Ty Chand Sunday Night please.
Oh yeah!
Mr unlimited. For those who haven’t seen it.
I don’t think there is a bigger poser in all of professional sports than Russell Wilson. Absolute slapdick.
He’s such a douche and obviously learned nothing from last season’s debacle.
I think that was last season. Could be wrong.
It’s old Last season he took a ton of shit for this.
I’m not even sure when he made it.
Oh, my bad (good call Mjolnir). Still a douche though.
In the full video he mentions Pete Carroll.
He made that video 5 years ago
Now the Pete Carroll reference makes sense.
Yeah, people have been editing/photoshopping it for a while, especially since he went to Denver
BSF Dum Dum
I was told that Tweets don’t expire….
Correct, that’s why its good they have a time stamp
I was going by the date and the 3 games that are overlaid on the video (which are Denver’s last 3 opponents)…but I suppose that could have been photoshopped.
Fair assumption
He fake stammers to sound more human and relateable….someone punch this loser.

thinking about chikfila for lunch.
have any of you had that new honey pimento cheese sandwhich yet? IT’S SO GOOD
I haven’t tried that yet but I’ve been meaning to. I’m having a Wendy’s spicy Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken Sandwich for lunch.
Thinking about the leftover hamburger/macroni hotdish my wife lovingly packed for my lunch today.
Did she put cherry tomatoes in it?
Listening to a crime story where a guy had a big life insurance policy. The wife was having an affair with his best friend. She got the best friend to murder the husband while out duck hunting. She got the insurance money. She married the best friend. They eventually got divorced, and then the scheme fell apart.
It is hard to imagine people doing that and then try to live life like nothing happened. That is a totally alien headspace.
We often stated while working in prison that the Inmates were not in there for ‘being smart’.
The interrogations are kind of fascinating. It’s like…just…stop…talking.
I’m glad they got caught, but it is amazing how they babble themselves into a confession, at times.
This is pretty similar to what happened to my cousin about 20 years ago.
His wife and her friends murdered him for the insurance money.
Crazy that people actually think this way.
That’s terrible!
Oh no, how awful, sorry.
Yeah. I was at a wedding in June and they had a choice of two entrees – Brisket or Chicken. I took some of both.
feels good to finally get that off my chest.
That’s about where I fall on the scale. I found a loophole, though…if possible, I go back after everyone went through and then double up.
How did you sleep at night? Road to recovery.
I would have taken both as well, probably would have put the brisket on top of the chicken
Some people are evil.
Thank You HUN!
Nice way to lead off the top comments with a Tweet that expired 4 days ago. Ben dum dum.
Thank you skolifer!! I hadn’t read the date on the tweet since I was just expecting competency from our Admins…I was all worked up and worried about this weekends game due to that stat…Ben Dum Dum
I’m here to serve
Tweets don’t expire, but to your point, I was in a rush to get the thread up and meant to put context above about how significant Sunday’s win was.
Ohhhh, now I am not mad anymore.
Does being ‘mad’ (frantic) to be ‘mad’ (angry) make you ‘mad’ (crazy)??
Yes…
I fixed it now.
Perfect. Now it’s just old news. Ben dum dum.
Well, in that case…
Well to be fair, I think it applies to this week as well.
And likely every week for the rest of the year, as far as the playoffs go.
My guess is that there is a different team that has “more at stake” in week 11 and that the percentages won’t be the same. That said, this was more about the opportunity to give Ben shit than anything else. Especially since he thinks he’s SO smart.
I’m just as dumb as everyone else on here
Don’t sell yourself short. You’re dumber than several people on here.
True, but not Freezey, I can change a battery in under 2 days.

I don’t know. There’s some people with accounts here that think the economy is great, Joe Biden is a great president and is totally functional.

Happy Hump Day
Sometimes I wish I was an exercise ball.
Until you realize that cooch has a yeast infection and she hasnt showered in a few days…
Gotta be a troubled individual to go there. The whole world is not ND.
Bahahah – thank God for that, at least for women. Slim pickins here, at least if you are looking for talent and not some fat hole to fuck.
Would.
With the “right” diet and exercise plan, you can get the into the correct shape.
No politics
Even when Dobbs falters, and we know it will happen, I would still prefer the QB room next season to be Dobbs/Hall/Rookie
Enough of Kirk and his high salary for average results.
I agree, though the idea he’s going to get some huge amount of money is silly, at best he’d get a deal like Geno Smith signed this offseason, which could end up a 1 year 27 mil deal if it doesn’t work out, or a 3 year 100 mil deal depending on incentives
3 years at 100 mil based on half at Atlanta and half against Saints? Seems a little premature. Whatever, nice writeup at DN (since I know so little about him) that lays out pretty well strengths/weaknesses.
Hall – who knows.
No, the question was if he continues to play solid football for the rest of the year and that would be he’d likely get, which in reality is a one year 27 mil contract.
I was thinking if Dobbs continues playing well he’ll earn the same type of contract like Keenum did with Denver which was 2 years at 36m total.
Maybe, but that was 5 years ago when the cap was 177 mil, it is expected to be 256 million next season so I could see a similar structure but I’d think it’d be more like 2 years and 55+ mil
That feels accurate. Fair compensation for a guy who’s perhaps caught lightning in a bottle – that figure still wouldn’t put him in the top 10 of QB contracts
That was my thought as well.
Geno Smith gets 25 million
Tannehill gets 29.5 million.
Somewhere in that range.
Which would still put him in the bottom half of QB salary range.
This is a league now where the top 5 gets between 49-55 million a year.
6-10 average 40- 46
11-15 average 35-40
There’s a big jump from 19th Jimmy G to the 20th Jordan Love from 24.25 to 13 million.
Even at 20-25 million that’s going to be 10-15 million less than Kirk will want.
Absolutely. Kirk at 35 million is at the median pay for 2023.
That’s crazy.
I would say you have to pro rate that to today’s market.
Back then Kirk broke records for 28 million for 3 years.
Kirks last deal of two years at 70 million puts him at 15th for average per year.
Of course the full guaranteed complicates things.
Fair comps IMO:
Geno Smith 18th at 25 million
Jimmy G is the 19th at 24.25
Possibly Tannehill money? 29.5?
But in a league where:
Carr 37.5 million
Stafford 40 million
Jones 40 million
Who knows what someone will give a guy. In 2018, Cardinals gave Bradford a 20 million contract, paid him 16 for not even a full season and cut him.
I’d say if he has a Keenum type year he gets a two year prove it deal for at least 25 million
^^accurate. And 2 years at 25m per would still allow for QBOTF
They obviously didn’t check his medicals, his knee was shot when they signed him and he was never going to be ok, he missed almost all of 2017 with a knee injury diagnosed as “wear and tear after two ACL tears”, I have no clue why they would have signed him.
That was freaking hilarious! Too bad they cut him or we would have gotten a 3rd round comp pick.
Yeah I remember the comp pick discussion on old DN, people were pissed about it, but I’m not sure how much it would have influenced comp picks since they signed Kirk to an even bigger contract but it would have made some difference.
I have no idea about the comp pick. Just remember the DN kept talking about a 3rd rounder.
It was on the DN, so it has to be true.
Cardinals are dumb
Seems like that’s the ballpark after 2 games.
I kind of gotta feeling Dobbs has a few bad games in him coming up.
I’d lean closer to $20 million per year if the Vikings finish .500 and lose round 1.
Since he is a free agent in 2024, would another team pony up that much cash?
Guess the question, and a rather big one, what is “solid” football?
Exactly what weve seen so far, and we keep winning, and if the play offs happen, we win at least one game.
“Solid Football” is like pornography….I know it when I see it.
For the sake of this discussion solid football is how he has played thus far for the Vikings, good not great, misses some throws and reads at times but also makes plays outside the context of the offense when there is nothing there.
Not trying to be argumentative but played so far is difficult. For me, his play against Atlants in the second half, under the circumstances was exceptional – not 3 guys in the league could do that.
Now I didn’t see the Saints game, but read here he was great in the first half
So if he keeps “playing as so far”, I’d give him 50 mil a year.
KOC took the blame for the 2nd half conservative play. Stated that there were ‘1,000 things’ he (KOC) could have done better.
Saw a QB analysts which stated that they only saw one ‘poor’ play by Dobby, throw to Hocks feet.
So far so good, hope it gets better or at least stays the same. Long term decisions can wait for now.
That being the case, that is way way above just solid play.
It’s at the elite level
He started rough right after Halls injury, safety/fumble, but he was been excellent since then against some good D’s.
But since I am traumatized by being a Viking fan I will continue to ‘hope for the best but expect the worst’.
But that is no reflection on Dobby, it is more a ‘me thing’.
Hay, the first half in Atlanta and last half inSaints were give aways – not on him. Just talking about the other two.
Just clarifying after Ben Dum Dums post about him being ‘uneven so far’.
I think Dobbs poise in the pocket – and in particular not panicking when he’s in a phone booth is impressive. Several times he had guys around him in near proximity to make a sack and he kept his feet moving and got out of trouble. The clock in his head appears to be finely tuned.
Yesterday someone here posted Dobbs scramble for TD against Saints. First time I saw it – great run. But, I’m guessing you and I have a different perspective from a QB throwing from the pocket perspective.
Don’t think we differ that much. It’s essential to be able to throw from the pocket to sustain success in the NFL. When D’s run double mug and zero blitz QB’s have no choice. Drew Brees, despite height limitations was fantastic at throwing from the pocket. Russ Wilson, with those same height limitations but the element of mobility has ALWAYS struggled to throw from the pocket – he’s been exposed the last two years in that he’s been in offense’s that are tailored to a QB reading and throwing from the pocket and 90% of the success he’s had throwing in Denver has come from off-script, scramble plays. I like Dobbs mobility and poise – but there’ll come a time when he’ll HAVE to throw from the pocket for us to be successful. He’s had moments – the TD to Hock right before halftime was a pretty throw from the pocket.
Great comparison between Brees and Wilson. and so true.
Broncos/Colts game last year he missed KJ Hamler on an inside slant that would’ve been the game winner. Was a simple, 1st read slant that a JV QB shouldn’t miss, let alone a 10 year vet. That’s just one of many examples.
Here it is again.
His first move is to climb up the pocket and keep his eyes down field. You can see him move and properly set his feet twice for a throw… possibly 3 times he sets for a throw before bailing. By then It’s gotta be over 3 seconds since the snap and if nothing is there after 3 seconds it’s time to throw it away or run. This is exactly what I like to see in a mobile QB. Move and look for the pass, and when the pocket is fully collapsing then get what you can with your legs.
That camera angle is great. Love how he keeps moving his feet and keeps his hips fluid. Also, 2 hands on the ball while moving around until he starts to run outside for the point.
Well , I’m not goiing to second guess a scramble for a TD – a great play. But I see the pocket differently. After he steps up, at about 3 seconds in tape, the pocket is fairly clean. QB”s like Stafford/Geoff/Cousins/Borrows would at that point be looking down field and throwing. Dobbs appears to be jumping around looking for an escape route which he finds and runs for a TD.
In general, when pocket gets crappy scramblers scramble and pocket guys look to throw. Both can yield acceptable results and one is not neccessarily better than the other.
Would say this though – the scramble will probably make the highlight reel and a pass for a 15 yard TD is sort of ho hum
I wonder what the all 22 would show for the receivers?
100% agree that the pocket passer would have moved up and then throw. If a guy was open throw it to them. No one open, then throw it high out of the end zone.
If he had a guy open then I would be a little worried that he pulled it and ran.
I have no issues with running as long as you safely pick up a few yards to make something out of nothing. A TD is a bonus.
that’s what’s hard about evaluating stuff like this. Both can work.
Now I think this will get interesting down the road – if they make JJ the highest paid WR in football, and given the level of WR/TE talent.
For sure like some scrambling ability, but that better be last resort and get the ball to our talent down the field.
It didn’t look like the WRs on the left side of the field were open initially, not sure on the right, but Powell comes open late but Dobbs chooses to run instead of throw to him in the EZ.
He has been solid overall, but uneven at the same time, I’m not advocating the Vikings sign him, and I’m not sold on him by any means, for as fun as its been to watch him make some plays that his predecessor could not make with his feet, he still has not demonstrated he can deliver the ball accurately and on time from the pocket consistently.
That makes sense and delivering the ball is ultimately what it’s all about.
I think all of these things. The mobility and being able to scramble and make plays on the fly is a nice element – I also have concerns about his ability to deliver from the pocket consistently. The ball to JA was a bad decision, bad throw made good by Addison fighting for the ball. The scramble and throw to Hock was impressive. His deep ball reminds me of Keenum – although I think Dobbs has a stronger arm – they both have a tendency to float passes, and on shot plays that’s a recipe for disaster.
So, since he’s historically been a back-up QB, does that make him a solid #2?
Correct
Firm and stable in shape. Not fluid.
Duh.
Is Jello a ‘solid’?
Not a fluid but not exactly a solid either.
If jello can hold a solid suspended I think I’d classify it as solid
It might be predicated on temperature.
Temperature does have a strong influence on something being liquid/solid/gas
They have pills for that.
Sounds like you have personal ‘1st hand’ knowledge of that.
i would like to see a 2 year deal that is back heavy to offset Kirk’s dead cap.
‘nice writeup at DN’
~ fake news….
He’s a plant.
So is this guy….
if kirk was playing at the level he was playing at before injury, as a 28 year old, i would want him back…
not too thrilled in thinking he will come back at the same level. i’m ready to move on.
Yesss, embrace the future freezy, goood, feel its warm embrace.
Yeah, 36 and coming off a ruptured achilles is not ideal, who knows if he’ll even be ready to start the season.
Yes!!! Cousins will be back next year! I read it on Yardbarker so it has to be true.
Insider provides update on Cousins’ future with Vikings | Yardbarker
You should see what Skolly said in our fantasy room. He’s being torn right now for his weird obsessive love for Kirk and hopping on the Dobbs train. A few weeks ago he was 100% convinced Vikings want Kirk back…its kinda sad.
Getting Cousins back at a decent salary wouldn’t be the end of the world..As long as Dobbs continues to play at a high level I don’t see it happening….But Yardbarker said it will.
1 year deal, $20mil max, team friendly, incentive based, able to trade, thats the only thing they should offer Cousins, and thats just to be a stop gap to grant the rookie time to sit. Anything else, he can hit the road.
Are his rants peppered with a bunch of ‘Zeroooooo’ and ‘book it’ claims?
And clowns, still on the clown bits. Even though this clown has been right more than him. Oh well.
Of course…. the clowns.
Preach!!
NBA sucks, but LOL, this was at least entertaining, I’m guessing Mr. Chokehold gets a couple weeks off soon
i was watching that live, i looked down for a second all of a sudden MAYHEM…
buncha idiots
Warriors instigated that, they are the New Orleans Saints of the NBA…f@#*rs
Wolves got in their head a few games ago when they bullied them defensively. Im not surprised they acted like little bitches from getting spanked.
Ghetto tennis.
Green is a POS, always will be.
At least the Vikings didn’t make a deal this bad for a QB, yet.
WOW! That guy has been a nightmare for the Browns.
Worst deal in NFL history.
Herschel Walker on line 1
Zactly
The Herschel Walker deal was a great deal. For the Cowgirls.
Ditka’s trade of all the Saints draft picks to acquire Ricky Williams in the draft is a candidate for the worst deal in NFL history.
But 10 years later the Saints won the Super Bowl, @so the trade worked.@
But 10 years later the Saints
woncheated their way to the Super Bowl, @so the trade worked.@Ditka wanted to go golfing….
something something KARMA
That’s what I think too, karma, and hopefully good riddance.
No happy ending for him
I think cashing those fully guaranteed checks for the next 4 years is still a pretty happy ending.
and avoiding prison….. for now.
Rip Browns season? Their defense is still mega good, and a good D and run game can still get you into the dance.
They also lost Chubb already so they are down to Hunt and whoever else they still have. I think their QB for the rest of the season is something call PJ Walker.
In that division, they are ded.
“This franchise is blessed…”
Ruesse is delusional, unless he means blessed, as in “loaded with so much money that it can hunt people for sport.”
Then, yes, it is blessed…
I don’t disagree with you, but also he’s kinda right
Yeah, we’ve had some fun backups, that is true.
I passed through Reusse’s hometown of Fulda the other day. Here are other famous people from Fulda I just learned about…
Fulda was the birthplace of Harold Hotelling, a mathematical statistician and very influential economic theorist.
Baseball Hall of Famer and Negro league pitcher Hilton Smith played for Fulda’s semi-pro baseball team in 1949 and 1950.
The Continental Co-ets, America’s first touring all-girl rock & roll band, originated in Fulda in 1963.
Ted Winter, former Minnesota House Majority Leader and longtime state representative (1987–2003) is from Fulda.
Oh man, Fulda, now that’s a town I haven’t thought of in a long time, I dated a girl from Windom when I lived in Marshall and would drive through Fulda on my way to see her. I don’t think I ever stopped, just drove through. Surprising anyone of note came from there considering how small it is.
Familiar with all those little towns – my dad still uses the phrase ‘More fun than the Fulda fair’ Windom is home to a former FTP and the 9th overall pick in the 1939 NFL Draft Larry Buhler. Ran the muni liquor store in Windom for years.
Odell Beckman Jr. mom was Windom person, too. I guess they were both around for a funeral awhile back.
She graduated with my Uncle Mitch. Heather Van Norman – still holds Minnesota state high school track records
I went to college with a guy from Fulda. My mother’s family is from the Windom area. too.
It’s kind of fun to look up a bunch of small towns on Wikipedia and see famous folks who came from them.
Like remember Paul from Cheers? He was from Fairmont.
A guy from one of favorite ninja movies ever, Revenge of the Ninja, grew up in Estherville, IA.
It’s surprising how many obscure notable people are from around here.
I do this all the time. I’ll look up little one horse towns I travel thru to see who may be from where. Makes the world a bit smaller in my opinion
Was also one of the Bob’s from Office Space
That’s right!
Punky Brewster’s family is from Estherville as well. Her Grandma was my third grade teacher.
Yes, the dude in Revenge of the Ninja was her father.
I don’t know why or where I learned it, but I did know Paul was from MN. Just for fun I looked up my hometown but I did not learn anything new and could probably improve the wiki page by adding notable people they don’t have listed.
I think the most famous person to come from my hometown is me.
And you’re only Skoloholics famous.
Yep, and that is probably a stretch of a statement.
Happy Hump Day!
That dog is going to get him some!
first…..to say….you are all idiots
We, the idiots, have been posting gifs on yesterday’s thread…
i know…like a buncha idiots!
LOL!
I am not an idiot, I am impatient.
I resemble that remark!
Hey!! Who you calling an idiot?
