Not a whole lot of news out there. Kyle Rudolph and his son stopped by training camp yesterday. Rudolph is 33 years old and still a free agent. I wonder if he’ll even find a team this year. I wish him all the best, he’s a great person & does a lot of good things outside of football.
Not much else happening as we head into Father’s Day weekend. Kudos to all the dads out there who do what they can to help bring up the kiddos in this insane world, they need us. I hope you all have plans to consume lots of dead animal over the weekend, I sure plan to. SKOL!

So our WR corps was ranked 7th best in the league going into the 2023 season by PFF. Apparently after JJ, the evaluators aren’t that impressed with KJ and Addison.
In listening to an interview with KJ, it appears KOC is sticking with his scheme of having the receivers read the defense and alter their routes mid-flight. KJ said it was really hard on the receivers. Imagine what Cousins faces every play. He has to avoid the rush, read the defense and go through progressions, while trying guess where his receivers will be. I don’t much care for this scheme, because last year it didn’t work all that great.

DE, this is my perspective on KOC’s scheme. There are many ways to get the ball out of a QB’s hands quickly and effectively. Brady did it with New England for 20 years. I do not like the scheme where a QB drops back behind a bad line and doesn’t actually know where his receivers are going, and neither do they.
Fowler has 6 bogies, 7 birdies, and 3 pars so far today. Hit his second shot inside 8 feet on the hardest hole on the course. Another birdie coming?

My lord what a roll with the mallet by Fowler for birdie on 12. He’s feeling absolutely no pressure just playing freely. What a joy to watch.

Teeing off at 7 am tomorrow with a gaggle of guys and the Mrs. Last warm up round before our week vaca at Kiawah starting next Saturday. Worked on my driver this week…got some major progress fixing my set up (I believe) so we’ll see how it rolls tomorrow.
Not worried so much about that want to really dial in the 125 yards and in, in 3 shots and do as well as I did last week going 16 for 18 holes 3 shots or better from 100 yrds in. Get my tee and 2nd shots dialed in I should shoot a low to mid 80’s rd. We’ll see.

I really struggle with slow play. I’m a rhythm guy. I don’t take a lot of time over the ball and like to play fast. Waiting causes me to get frustrated and angry. I’m not only fighting the course, I’m fighting my own temper and impatience.
I agree. For me start getting stiff and feel like every shot is the drive on number one. And too much free time and start thinking about everything but golf.
All I gotta say is it’s a good thing 9 mils aren’t allowed on golf courses…

Couple of weeks back NLVF was saying he was lucky when he shot a 78 in golf. I replied the scorecard doesn’t care if it was luck or not, or if the course was easy or not – it only knows the score.
Sort of feel that way here – the scoreboard only totals the final score at the end and it doesn’t care how/when the points got there.

Since Gone Fishin’ says we need to consume dead animals this weekend, I’m thinking of starting it off with pork chops on the grill tonight. I haven’t decided on Saturday yet, but my daughter gave me a gift card to Red Robin that I may have to use on Sunday.

I don’t recall if I’ve every had snake, but I have tried alligator. We got alligator at a park one time and they deep fried it like chicken. It was ok. With pork chops, you have to be careful, otherwise they dry out and then they are not as tasty.
Seems like most pork chops I have had are dry.
